Thank you Angulus for your care of Ermias Asghedom and his beautiful family's needs. Although there is much offense expressed in comments toward the hearse car driver for removing the flowers in an insensitive manner; let us please see a positive. Personally, I would like to take a moment to also thank him because I'm sure he had stress probably like none other time in his career. I empathize with how challenging it must have been to navigate 25.5 miles carefully through his city with motorcycle caravans closely following and a sea of grieving fans and admirers paying loving tribute throughout the procession, approaching at random times to touch the hearse, seeing flying objects (in tribute to Ermias) landing on the car, etc. as he drove BUT...he made it thru. The driver carried Ermias through his native city while doing the best he could so we could share that final 'victory' lap with him. Also, he drove it without injuring anyone during such an emotionally heightened time. I appreciate that... Thank you to the driver. Thank you to all the Angulus staff Thank you to the Asghedom/Smith families for allowing us in to share this time. Sending continued comfort, strength and love the family, friends and all who cared.

My best friend's wake was held here on 11/19. It was from 5-8 but the attendant (or funeral director) was so gracious and allowed those in attendance to stay later, which he didn't have to do. He was engaging and very nice. What I didn't like was that my best friend's hands were ashy; I even heard a woman in the pew behind me saying his hands looked weird. His lips were dry also. I wanted to put lotion on his hands and a dab of Carmex on his lips, which would have made a difference, but wasn't sure if that would have been in poor taste...I should have asked the family, but it really bothered me. ALL deceased should look their best, and had those two small things been addressed prior to the service, it would have made him look even more handsome than he already was. Sometimes the small details make a big difference.
Angelus Funeral Home services are "A Sin Before the Holy Spirit.". Unfortunately, my family and I had to use them to officiate my beloved late daughter's funeral. This happened in March 2021, because of the unfortunate situation with world-wide virus. I'm so angry because Angelus decided, without family input, to put decease's clothing (that I had shipped for my daughter to be dressed in) in her closed casket. This is NOT okay! The family makes all decisions, no matter what they may be. Since I had to change my Will/Trust anyway, the first thing I did was to write "Do not allow this company to do anything to my remains.". Don't even stop in front of the building. I will not recommend Angelus to anyone. On the contrary, I will tell how my family was disrespectful.
We used Angeles Funeral Home for our father's services 7/8/23. This was a beautiful place to host the event. Everyone that we dealt with was so compassionate and knowledgeable, but the two that stuck out were Todd and Constance. Constance was my knight in shining armor throughout this ordeal. We had our service here and had our father shipped out to Oklahoma to our family's land cemetary. Constance made all of the arrangements and help was so amazing. Everyone is complimenting on how nice our father's service was. The only hiccup that occurred was us not asking to take our flowers with us after the ceremony. Other than that, this was a very pleasant business arrangement. Thank u again AFH. Signed eternally grateful, The Patterson Family 7/23
kUDO'S TO THE MORTUARY SCIENTIST AND TECHNOLOGY THAT PREPARED REV. ANDRAE CROUCH. HE LOOKED LIKE HE WAS 100% SLEEP. ABSOLUTELY NO PAIN, AND LOOKED EVERY BIT LIKE AN ANGEL. THE HAIR, THE SKIN, THE HANDS, THE NAILS ABSOLUTELY 100%. I SAY THIS BECAUSE HEAVEN, CHRISTIAN'S SPEAK ABOUT STREETS PAVED WITH GOLD...NO MORE PAIN.....HARDSHIP......WELL HE LOOKED LIKE A 30 YEAR OLD RAP ARTIST (NO DISRESPECT) if THIS ANGEL COULD AWAKE AND WHEN HIS ETERNAL SLEEP IS WOKE HE IS GOING TO JUMP UP DANCING AND SINGING SAYING....I LOOK SO GOOD. ;-) IN THE NAME OF MORTUARY SCIENCE GIVE YOURSELF A HAND BECAUSE THAT WAS AN EXCELLENT BRIEF PUBLIC DEMONSTRATION AND I THOUGHT YOU DID AN EXCELLENT JOB IN THE NAME OF MORTUARY TECHNOLOGY! GOD BLESS! AND GOD RECEIVE THE GLORY!
We used Angelus for the cremation of our loved one. The customer service lady Doris was very courteous and professional until payment was made. Then she did not return phone calls or notify when the cremation was completed. A family member had to call repeatedly to get that information and to find out about the mailing of the death certificate. Also, we were informed when our loved one arrived that he had a necklace and gold chain with him. Days later staff at Angelus denied it. And finally we were charged $25.00 for the mailing of the certificates (we had already paid $24 for an extra certificate) but it was mailed priority for $10 so where did the additional $15 go? Angelus has a reputation as a Christian funeral home, please do better.
Tyrone tells you time and time again that he will call you to follow up with you about various things and yet NEVER follows up. My family had to continuously call and I had to continuously take off from work early to drive across town to look him in the face in order to make any headway with funeral preparation. He even tried to deflect fault when confronted about why my father's urn was forgotten about at the crematorium for an entire month! When I called, it was apparent that he had forgotten that my father had even been sent there... just sad. It seems that as soon as they collect payment from you (which is the only thing that he was on top of me about), you and your family become a "non-factor."
The front desk answering the phone is extremely rude, unwilling to assist me through this tough time! My flowers had not yet been received and the company said they had been delivered earlier. I called to confirm and the front desk said “it’s not my job to verify” and the she hung up on me. I called back again was hung up on a 2nd time. I didn’t give up and called back a 3rd time and they were very rude and not not considerate of my feelings and what an emotional toll this is on someone. The flowers did show up. However , dealing with inconsiderate, no customer services skills and bad attitude does not make this process easy. Coaching on customer treatment is needed for anyone in your front office.
Do not go here. My boyfriend recently passed away RIP BABY His funeral service was so beautiful, but the artist who worked on my baby was horrible. He looked nothing like himself. That is so traumatizing to see. Go somewhere with better artist. It’s so sad we had to see my boyfriend look totally different because of the bad job the artist did. Seeing your loved one 1 last time is so important but we are traumatized because of the artist job, looked nothing like himself. Please go somewhere else so you don’t have to experience the same thing. My boyfriend should have looked like himself. RIP my baby. ❤️
I recently lost my Mom and Angelus Funeral home served me like no other! They were professional, compassionate and friendly! From the initial phone call, the professional removal service and the overall experience during my challenging time to internment! When I returned to work, my co-workers were complimentary of the Angelus staff! The Angelus staff were outstanding, and my amazing counselor Ms. Constance, whom walked me through this journey, I felt like I had a relative with me every step of the way! I would highly recommend Angelus Funeral Home for all your needs in your hour of bereavement!! The Lewis Family
The unprofessionalism of how those drivers handled the flowers from nipseys was DISGUSTING! Before you part with the flowers, remove all the cards and notes so you know who to thank after the funeral. Take home a floral arrangement. ... Preserve the funeral flowers. ... Give away to family and friends. ... Leave funeral flowers on the grave. ... Donate the funeral flowers. ... Make your own DIY potpourri. I would hope all persons involved are Repramanded abs if that results in termination so be it ! I will be sure to NEVER USE THIS FUNERAL HOME
Stay professional at all times. No matter how long and mundane your days become, never lose compassion and empathy for the people who pay you to send their loved ones off in a respectful integral manner. No respect given to King Nip’s spirit or fans who paid their respects to the late great. Shame on you for becoming so desensitized and ruthless. Issa car it can be replace. Your business ethics, that’s another story. Do better. RIP Nip Forever in our hearts.
Everything looked Beautiful to me but my heart changed how I felt about the funeral home once I seen how the drivers threw the flowers on the ground made me cry why not just give them to the fans that was standing around in the first place instead of them being thrown to the grown like trash them flowers meant a lot they came from Nipsey Funeral those flowers was apart of him and his home going #RIP2MySonJJFavoriteRapper
Disgusting and Disrespectful how your drivers handled Nipsey Hussel's Memorial. Disrespecting His Family, Friends and Fans!!!! What you did throwing away his flowers on the pavement like that. DISRESPECTFUL!!!!! You need to fire some employee's. I hope people don't use your funeral home services in the future because it shows you do not respect the dead or their Family or Friends or Fans!!!!
I watched Nipsey Hustle’s funeral and saw the disrespect showing to his memory by the way his flowers were thrown on the floor by the drivers and felt that was unprofessional. I'll never recommend this funeral home to my loved one. This establishment has to consider the family of the deceased. Although they tried to clean it up it was too late.
My mother inlaw preplanned her funeral service with Angelus Funeral Home and the service was outstanding. Thank you Mr. Pleasant for a great job, Everything was really nice even under construction. A special thanks to everyone that helped out. The groomer did a great job. I can now say I believe in pre planning your on service. A job well done!
This is not a family friendly space. If there are children involved I would not recommend. My family and I was grieving and the gentlemen in the lobby was harassing my family and I about the children in the lobby. The gentleman even called my autistic son challenged. Overall it was a terrible experience at a very difficult time.
Not pleased at all about there horrible unorganized service. If you have a funeral scheduled at a certain time to be there. Then why the hell would the funeral home allow people who aren't related to anyone come early ahead of family and seat their selves.!. When the service haven't even started. SMH
Awesome that you all are caring for Ermias. HIs mother stated he looked so peaceful. I want to fax a condolence to the family if someone can give it to them I would appreciate it. He seemed like a very humbled guy and his family would appreciate our thoughts and prayers. Thank you!!
What happed to our flowers! Angelus was clueless when we questioned them about our flowers that was delivered. The flower company said they delivered them 2 hours early. We later found out that Angelus gave our flowers to another funeral service! How could they be so careless! Smh!
Everyone at Angelus Funeral Home was extremely professional and gave my family the respect and privacy from beginning to end. In 2020, no other establishment could've done better than Angelus Funeral Home and my family was very appreciative. Thank you ~ The Family of EvaDean Newton
The video that was posted of the mortuary driver throwing nipsey hussle flower arrangements on the ground like that should be fired. He should have 100% dignity and respect for the family and Nipsey. That was wrong, The world is watching. RIP Nipsey Hussle God bless you.
Y'all done a good job up till y'all got NIP back to the funeral home how the driver just throwing the peoples flowers down on the ground like that. wow I guess so or did y'all forget people around the world is and was still looking on ....✌ …
I just wanted to say that I am so happy that you guys are taking care of Ermias Asghedom (Nipsey Hussle). His mom said that you did a great job and he looked perfect and peaceful. Thank you for that. R.I.P Nipsey. You will forever be missed.
I was so appalled at the video that arose from the Funeral procession of Nipsey Hustle where your driver threw the flowers he received on the ground like trash. I was so appalled I had to come let you know how incredibly disrespectful that
A professional staff, a comforting presence, and elegant, dignified environment characterize this venerable local institution. My Father's services were conducted at Angelus Funeral Home, my Mother's viewing was held at this site, and my
The most amazing staff. Professional, caring and understanding. Without them during our unfortunate time, we would have been lost. Thank you Constance and Todd for all your help in planing my dear departed brothers funeral preparation.
Tyrone was a very kind counselor and even made a little time to see me when I arrived last minute without any appointment. He was always very clear about what steps he would take next and about the price.
How dare that driver just throw nipsey flowers to the grown that piss me off the world is watching you no.Big ups to the guy and the rest of the crew who picked them up and gave them to fans
