Booked table for 7.30pm on a Monday, ordered about 15 minutes later. Waited over 30 minutes for my drink, which I had to chase before it eventually turned up and around 1h 30 for our meals. Mine turned up without any chips (steak and chips) steak hadn’t been rested thus was very disappointing, waitress did return to give me five chips - after double checking they were in fact missing as the chef apparently didn’t believe her even though she was the one who served it to us. Husbands steak meal came with only three chips - on querying this is the correct size portion! No condiments on table and no offer of sauces, a walk across the resturant did elicit, sorry, some salt and a sad squirt of mayo on a saucer a few minutes later. Despite all this they didn’t even take off one of our drinks from the bill as an apology and still added the service charge. No sign of a manager even after we said the food was disappointing given how long it took to arrive nor did we see anyone approaching other tables when at least two of them sent food back to the kitchen which suggests whoever was in charge was either completely oblivious or didn’t care that customers were clearly not happy. Perhaps as everyone was calm and polite in speaking to the staff they can’t be bothered to get involved. Given they weren’t full it must be even worse on a busy night. Waitress was embarrassed enough when she turned up with the card machine to offer to take off the service charge, I guess that was all she was able to do - frankly she was the only person in the place who was running about to try and deal with the unmitigated disasters most tables seemed to be experiencing. It was our first time eating here, if not I’d have probably just walked out after an hour having not received an apology for the delay or any food. It’s pretty unforgivable to take a booking that it is clear that they weren’t in a position to fulfil in any reasonable timescale. With prices of around £50+ per person (mains and a couple of drinks) and likely nearer £75-100 pp if you include starters, deserts, wine and coffee it’s not a place I’d return to or recommend as the quality of the food wasn’t worth the wait.

Likely to be my last visit. First & second times were great, third time had to send food back. Last time, most of the beef was fat and gristle. Waiter enquired why I'd left so much so I politely explained and he said oh... and still stuck 12.5% service charge on. Tonight we had rib eye steaks. My partner's was much bigger and cooked properly. Mine was overdone and not only much smaller, but again, full of fat and gristle. The waiter asked why I'd left so much and I politely explained that I don't eat fat and gristle, I would have liked it cooked properly and it would have been nice if we'd had somewhere similar in size pieces of meat. He said they can't tell what the meat is like when they buy it (!). I would have complained during the meal but nobody came to check how the food was.a Now, Monday night is 50% off steaks and the bill came to £66. They'd added the 12.5% service charge (they don't seem to have a problem getting THAT bit right!). However, they added the 12.5% to the price before the half price was taken off, so charged £11 tip. This works out to closer to 18% tip. Utter rip off by people who just don't care about keeping their customers. UPDATE: 27/01/19 Have them one more chance. Haha what a joke. Had deep fried brie, cut into it, one mouthful of cheese and rest of it was an empty breadcrumb shell. Nobody came to ask how food was so couldn't tell them. Nobody asked when they cleared plates, even though entire starter was still on plate. Asked for bill and manager then asked so I told him and he said it was strange, brought the bill and charged me for the starter and £7.25 service charge. After a number of hit and miss experiences here, we've decided not to go back.
I recently hosted a large family meal at the restaurant and almost every aspect of our experience was poor. The service was virtually non-existent. When waiting staff did visit our table, it was when someone in our party had got up from the table to find them. At no point did anyone check if our group needed anything or top up our drinks. On one occasion, I asked a waiter for a drink and he nodded and then either forgot or ignored me, as the drink never materialised. The food we eventually ordered took an extremely long time to arrive. This would have been slightly more bearable if someone had taken the time to explain the delay and apologise. The only time the waiting staff were proactive was when presenting the bill after the meal. However, to our immense embarrassment, the waiter presented it to one of our guests, who then felt obliged to try to pay his share. We were seated on a table clearly not designed for so many people, so we all felt very cramped. The food itself was extremely average. All in all, this is one restaurant experience I would like to forget.
Had an awful experience today. I had booked a table for lunch, i arrived 6 minutes early as my 11 month old baby needed feeding. Our booking was 12pm. When i went in, a very rude abrupt man told me they were closed. I was really taken back by his tone but I went on to explain I had a booking. They were eating there food, so i asked if has suggesting i go wait outside with the baby however his colleague who was nice showed me to my table. Not sure why he never suggested this. When i got to rhe table that was not properly clean, the chairs were covered in hair and glitter, i could hear him sat there swearing about how i had interrupted his meal!!! That was the last straw, i got the pram and left. Not before telling him what i thought of him at which point he stood up, not sure what kind of man would contront a woman with a baby. I then left and found a lovely place round the corner called Walnuts. I am still so confused by the whole experience. That man needs some serious customer service training and basic manner to be taught.
Aqua is fast becoming one of my favourite places to eat. There is always a very warm welcome, it's a light, bright and modern restaurant serving a wide variety of Mediterranean food. The food is attractively served and excellent value, for example the mixed fish platter is approx £22. Our party included a vegetarian and a celiac and we were all able to enjoy fabulous food We were served on our most recent visit by Tatiana, who has a lovely smile and was attentive and cheery even though the restaurant was very busy. The whole operation runs smoothly thanks to the professionalism and care of Paula, who oversees everything thus ensuring that every guest feels special and has the best experience. Highly recommended.

My celiac guest had a good choice of food, including the delicious mixed fish platter shown.
I have been told by may people to try this place out. To be honest I wasnt that impressed. Booked a table for 6 for a friends b/day.Service was slow, wasnt asked once if everything was ok with any of the courses. We had to keep asking for more drinks. 2 of my guests had the fish platter who stated it was different & they enjoyed it. My fillet steak just tasted of black pepper so wasnt enjoyable for me. I had the panna cotta for dessert which was very nice but a friend had the creme brulee who said it was terrible & didn't taste right. Atmosphere in the place was very nice & was very busy due to the 50% off steak night, cant blame anyone for a half price steak but just check you bill before paying as we ordered 4 steaks & only 3 were discounted. I personally wouldnt rush back for another steak there
Took my husband for a birthday meal. We both ordered fillet steak, med rare. I tried twice to cut my steak but couldn't actually get my knife through it. When I called the waitress over and asked for a new steak she said the next one would be the same. A more senior staff member came over & I explained again. He said it was probably the knives as they are not very good and said another fillet would be the same. He offered me a sirloin or rump. I asked to see the manager who said the same! There seemed no genuine concern for my ruined meal. My husband managed to eat his steak, but it had tiny tubes & sinews in it! I ended up with just a coffee. We left with no apology at any time. Have been several times to this restaurant but was hugely disappointed with our experience this time!
I really hate to do this but this is one of the worst restaurants I have ever been to in terms of value for money, and one of the worst I have been to in Chislehurst/Petts Wood full stop. The food is incredibly bland, however it is well presented and perfect for people who have lost their taste buds with age, as per the guests surrounding us. Atmosphere was non existent, and I cannot believe that for LESS money I could have gone to Quattordici in Chislehurst, or far far better restaurants in Petts Wood. All the food was clearly cooked from frozen, I couldn't believe the lack of quality on show, as I said, incredibly bland food, well presented, but absolutely not worth the money. You can do far better than this place.

Possibly one of the worst meals I have had in a long time. I ordered the mixed grill which turned out to be two tiny overcooked lamb cutlets , a piece of steak that was charred on the outside and raw in the middle a sausage that I can only describe as a burnt pepperami . The steak was mostly fat. The prices were ridiculous and the waiters came to my table during my main course a total of five times to see if the meal was ok, it got embarrassing. My partner ordered the tiger prawns to start and at £9.50 I was horrified to see just four on the plate . I have eaten in a lot of high class restaurants and my family owned one so I know about good food and have to say I was very very disappointed .
Fantastic varied menue, up to now main courses have been excellent but stay well clear of starters. 4 so called King Scollops at 12 pounds where very small and the cornish crab salad was very small at 9 pounds was tastless frozen stuff which I returned. Such a shame I was so disapointed Absolute rip off. Ambience is buzzy and loud when busy, so not really any good for a nice quite romantic meal. Fantastic service considering how busy it was, seems well run and charge a descretionary service charge of 12.5 % UPDATE TOOK 3 FRIENDS FOR HALF PRICE STEAK MONDAY DEAL, ALL HAD FILLET OF BEEF WHICH WAS ALMOST INEDIBLE. It's obvious the managers don't care as there no replies to posts
Shame My husband took me for a date night as he’s been once before with the boys, but totally different vibe. Sadly a miserable waitress & food quality sadly was very disappointing, I thought the table next to us complained too much but now I understood why, flavourless lamb semi rack, very greasy gratin & burnt Starters were even more disappointing, even though we mentioned our concern, nothing was offered to compensate, comment was ‘ that’s it’ My husband was embarrassed as previously good. He was pretty upset at the service as well as quality of food. The only thing we enjoyed was the bottle of red & our company. Not sure either Ine if us is excited to go back !
I booked a table for 4 for a joint celebratory birthday meal for myself and my daughter today. We had lovely outdoor seating and the staff were lovely, but oh dear! The service was ridiculously slow and the food was expensive. I was charged £22.00 for 2 glasses of wine - ridiculously overpriced. I have therefore decided against booking here with my friends for Christmas- if they want customers to return I would suggest they read these reviews and act on it. Sadly, they've lost me and I won't return.

Poor service, extremely slow. We were there nearly 3 hours !!. Took over half an hour to get 3 creme brulees out of the fridge and serve them. Extremely rude and patronising waitress, said they were busy even though the place was only half full and kept calling me 'my dear' in a sarcastic tone when I dared to question her over the delay. Food was ok (1 star for that) but certainly not worth the inflated price. The only saving grace was that the Manager was very apologetic and did not charge for the desserts or the service ( one star for that). However the birthday celebration we were there for was ruined and needless to say we shall not be going back.
We visited Aqua on a Saturday evening to celebrate my mum's birthday with family. The staff were very attentive and the food was good. We were a little disappointed with the chunky chips as they were undercooked and very sparse!! The bar/restaurant had a lovely atmosphere and wasn't too "rowdy" for a Saturday evening. We would definitely recommend and will be going back again.

My husband, two friends and I had a very tasty meal, Friday evening, and experienced excellent service in a rather loud (crowded, therefore many conversations going on) but pleasant, happy atmosphere. Have been twice before over the last two months, and had the same good quality food so would reccommend this restaurant. A little too much food given, for us, but others may like that. Temperature also was just the right warmth during this very cold weather. Over all, it's superior to others we have tried in the Bromley area since we arrived a year ago from California.
Wow! Went last night (fri 27th May) 2 couples. We are all 'foodies' and On the fussy side! Great menu. All had different starters, all fab! Mains -cote beef was melt in the mouth and the roasted cod.....delicious! Bit of a wait for initial drinks but they were ram packed! Expected food to suffer for this but was very pleasantly surprised! Staff were lovely, very attentive and friendly. Great decor and buzzing atmosphere. Finally...a local restaurant that isn't over priced that offers better food than the ones that are!!! We wish you every success guys
Very disappointed tonight, food was good as always but the service was awful. Not seen this waitress before and she was huffy, said I couldn't have a different veg with my order, when I always change the veg and never been a problem before. Then we ordered hot chocolate drinks, no spoon to stir it, when we asked for a spoon she huffed off and brought back straws. Sorry but won't be returning. It's a shame as have been going for years when we have had special occasions. To top it off we paid over the top for service charge and the service was bad.
We celebrated my daughters birthday there for a steak night and so happens that Mondays are half price for steak. The service was impeccable and nice even though it was a busy night we never felt neglected. Started was very good I always order the pork tempura melts in your mouth. The mixed platter mezzo was amazing as well served with amazing hummus dips. Sirloin steak medium rare was perfectly cooked. Ordered desserts together with my daughter's birthday cake and the staff even sung for her. Overall experience was great and memorable.
One of my local restaurants, my little daughters favourite as according to her they do the best plain spaghetti. I really would love to see some changes in the menu as it has been the same forever, expecially the vegetarian options. Every time we go I have the penne with tomato sauce, as I don't fancy neither the squash neither the wild mashroom risotto. Last visited was on Monday for my daughter's birthday and ever her was not impressed this time. Felt like waiteres was stressed and overwhelmed with work, still managed to smile.
Poor service, called up to book a table and was told it’s all done, all to be called back few days later to say that I needed to pay a deposit. I wasn’t able to pick up as I was on holiday to come back to a vm, when I called back I was told the table was booked to someone else. I’ve been here a few times but won’t come back anymore and won’t recommend you to anyone. Paying a deposit isn’t a problem but train your staff to mention and take deposits when reserving a table. Who calls back few days later to say we need a deposit.
Everything about my last visit was average. The service was pretty much nonchalant and non-existent and as I have experienced before, the food is far from fresh (much like it has been kept and reheated). The worst thing is that we had to wait ages for our bill and after asking for it twice, we asked to split the bill and not only did he contactless our cards without asking, but he rounded each payment UP, rather than divide it equally. Absolutely disgraceful and will never, EVER be returning.
Amazing food, compliments to the chefs Waiting stuff and floor management was amazing, provided us with a unique and very friendly service. Quality and flavour of food was amazing and I will go back. The beautiful decor made the eating experience really special. Our waitress was very helpful and friendly.

Giving it a 2 star as went with my friends and the starter portions for the size are so so poor. Ordered filo pastry and was given two tiny ones for the price. Similarly for other starters. A good welcome, attentive friendly staff. Covid aware with appropriate measures implemented. Excellent food, I had goats cheese starter which I recommend and the spicy Mafioso pasta which was delicious. There was a good choice of wines reasonably priced. I had read some reviews saying the service was slow, I did not find this to be the case. They were very aware and attentive. I will definitely be going back.
Lovely mezze to start. Mains were a bit salty but good service from our waitress who was very patient with umus taking a while to decide what to order and also a very nice atmosphere in the restaurant. We were rushed from the table either and stayed as long as we wanted.

Disappointed. Went this evening for fathers day and my daughters and I chose our dishes on line as it was a set menu. When we ordered some dishes were missing forcing us to order what we didn't want. When I mentioned this to the waitress she said it wasn't her restaurant and would I like to speak to the manager. Expensive for the small portions and also added service charge.
Have dined here many times before always loved it. So sad to write this review. Service was poor. Waiting staff unfriendly and uningaging. Food very below average. Yes poor. Outside needs a revamp and garden needs tidying. Overpriced, unfriendly and felt grubby outside. Above all food not enjoyable.

Very friendly staff and attentive waitress. The food was delicious. We went for a family Birthday meal. His dessert came out with a candle on and they played happy Birthday to him. Which was a lovely touch as she had noticed him opening his cards and went above and beyond to make his night special. Would definitely recommend and we're looking forward to going back there
Delicious lunch, well presented and good value. We chose the two course menu followed by a coffee and both the sirloin steak and haddock main choices were excellent. Service was good and our waitress was lovely. Maybe a choice of salad leaves would be helpful for those who don't like rocket!

Good location across the street from the station with a great patio. Sunday roast and eat menu are the best options for value for money and booking a table is necessary on the weekends. Great food and wine, service charge is normally included on the bill regardless of size of your table so be aware of that. Would recommend the espresso martini!
For years this place was awful in most respects. Went back after many years, and with a different manager and staff, it has improved a great deal. Food was fine and the manager was friendly and helpful, completely unlike his predesessor. Need to go back some some more to confirm consistency.

Aweful experience, never again. The steaks were not cooked as asked. I had to send mine back to the kitchen, the sizes were a joke for the price they charge for a filet steak, the gravy was just an oily sauce. The pototoes fondant was rock hard. The spinach tasteless. The wine came late I had to remind them twice. You need to improve big time.

They must have changed chefs as goats cheese starter was like a bacon and tomato omelette. Main off lamb and duck well overcooked, gratin was tasteless and gravy was salty no flavour. Very very disappointed this visit and wont eat there again. However the staff were brilliant and attentive. That's the only reason I gave a 1 star not 0
Went to Aqua for first time yesterday (Wednesday lunchtime). Lovely layout (much more open-plan the previous restaurants on that site), and fantastic food. My 'cremated' steak was soft as butter, and both the starter and the dessert were delicious. Staff excellent too - attentive, smiley, and very quick. A very happy lunch!

Nice outdoor seating. Visiting just after new restrictions implemented as restaurants were allowed to reopen from COVID lockdown. Measures in place were reasonable—a decent distance between tables. Food is tasty, although not many vegan/veggie options. Nice wine selection. Staff friendly and attentive without hovering.

I visited this restaurant for lunch, I was nice and fresh inside but the menu was dated and hasn't changed for years, food was bland and boring, it needs updating to bring customers through the door, the price was astronomical, I'd rather go somewhere else.
Amazing food, service and wine. I would expect to pay at least double of what aqua are charging. Get yourselves down there for the Christmas menu! Just to add, the Christmas pudding, paired with the house port, is the taste of Christmas. Just perfect! …
