We ordered chicken arepas and noticed they didn’t have a kid’s menu, but one of the girls named Isa was so nice, that she made a baby size arepa for my toddler, which by the way, she loved! Everything is made from scratch and they have a salsa bar"

Wow!! So glad we opted for this place than the typical restaurants at U District. There are barely any legitimate South American restaurants here in Seattle and this place is a gem! One thing though, their online app to place your orders don’t reflect ALL the food options that’s available in the restaurant, so I would suggest ordering in person! They have way more options and special platters in person. AREPAS: my first time eating it and it won’t be my last!! The sweet plantains were so good and one arepa was sooo filling! I was full for hours!!! The shell was very crunchy and they loaded it UP! Add an extra egg in it! So delicious. We got the #4 - pabellon! COLOMBIAN EMPANADAS: WOW!!! Soo good!! Highly recommend! I don’t know what kind of shell it is in but even after a 2 hour walk back home from the restaurant, the shell was STILL crunchy??? The lid to the box was all closed too. I don’t understand this magic??? The beef one was delicious! TAQUENOS: the guava and cheese one was soo good and such a surprise! The pictures of these online make these items seem more crunchy but the ones we got were more bready, but still good! VENEZUELAN EMPANADAS: these were much bigger and not as crunchy as the Colombian ones and the filling was all cheese. I wasn’t a big fan of this one. SAMPLER PLATE: $14 in all I think and came with plaintains, empanadas (3), tequenos, yuca fries, and one more thing! Can’t wait to come back and try more items on the menu!! The meals are pretty pricey though! 3 empanadas were about $11 and 1 arepa is about $13! The sample platter seems like a good deal ($14) for an assortment of treats, but they were sadly out of it that day. Fyi it seems like the prices have jumped up from a year ago - if you look at pics of menu uploaded a year ago, the empanadas and arepas were in the $8 range (more reasonable), and barely a year later, it’s $11-$13. :(

I got the Pabellon arepa and the sampler plate. The arepa was super crisp, hot, and huge. I feel like it was a little bland on its own and maybe could use a little salt but with the sauces it was perfect. They have a little sauce bar inside and I was surprised that out of all of them, the bacon sauce was my favorite. It took the food to a whole new level of richness. On the sampler plate everything was super crisp and hot. Textures were all on point. The sauce that comes with the plantains was super cheesy tasting and delicious. The beef empanadas were heavily spiced with a lot of cumin and were remniscent of Indian food. They were so good. They give you a lot of food and I was pleasantly surprised. Very friendly and kind service, and relaxing outdoor patio.

I have ordered catering from Arepa on several occasions: for church functions, school lunches or dinners, team meals, etc., and each and every time, it is absolutely delicious. My favorite is the chicken Pabellón Criollo. I highly recommend for ANY type of team lunch or dinner. It'll be a nice change from the same old, and it will undoubtedly impress your teammates or colleagues. If you haven't tried Venezuelan food, it's so much more substance than your average "bowl." Their beans are plant-based, which means they do not use pork fat or products, an added plus for those who are vegetarian or vegan on your team.

First time eating areaps and it was a great experience. The gentleman helped us order and we got a bunch of vegetarian and pork arepas. They have a large selection of dips as well, the bacon sauce was delicious. Will seek out more Venezuelan food soon Ps: they packed some hot sauce as well for us and they have some fresh fruit juice - we tried guava and another tropical fruit that I forgot, very refreshing.

The arepas from this place are delicious! It's pricey but very filling, so it's worth it if you have the money to pay for it. The staff are polite, the wait can be a bit long though. They also have various sodas from different Latin American countries, in case you want to try that. They also have an unlimited sauce bar in the back of the restaurant, which pairs well with the arepas!

I've tried several Venezuelan restaurants and I thought most places couldn't compare to a homemade arepa. I was surprised by how good the food was here and would highly recommend it to anyone. Looking forward to eating here again soon! This place has all the Venezuelan staples that you expect along with Malta, Chinotto, Samba, Cocosette, and Tres Leches! We had tequeños, arepas, empanadas, and their platters.

Delish! The steak arepa is divine. Inside and patio seating available. Large portions of food. You'll be craving these arepas after you have them! Variety of sauces to choose from, too.

It is a really clean and cozy place to go. The staff members are very nice. The food was ready really fast, and it was very tasty too. I went with lots of people and they didn’t mess up the orders at all which was great. The prices are okay.
