There's been water staining on the ceiling of our dormer loft conversion over the past eight years, and three separate inspections had done nothing to rectify it. We got Hayden and his team to check it out; they spotted the felt under the leading had been cut to the base of the chimney rather than running a few more inches up the brickwork, and that this was the likely source of water getting in. The work on the roof, the chimney and another section over a box bedroom was carried out in July, and we've waited for a good few downpours in the meantime before posting this review. Result? Everything is as dry as a bone. Delighted with the service from start to finish, competitive pricing, polite, tidy, great attention to detail and keeping us abreast of each step, with photographic evidence along the way. Once the gangsters in Downing St have been kicked out, and those things called "savings" can be used on household projects rather than skyrocketing bills and repayments, we'll be using them to replace the roof of our garage conversion. Can't recommend them highly enough. April 2023 edit: we finally got round to having the garage conversion done this week, and Dave, Hayden and the lads did a tremendous job yet again. Hopefully, we can forget about it for the next 30 years! Oh, and still no leakages from last year's work...

I contacted Armstrong and Armstrong as my existing fibre glass flat roof was peeling and I had some concerns that it may not be watertight. Hayden attended & recommended that it needed to be replaced and provided me with a quote. As the previous builder had done such a poor job I had my concerns & was nervous about using someone I hadn't used before however Hayden attended a few days later to fully explain what had been done wrong on the exisitng roof and what steps he was going to take to ensure that it won't happen again once it had been replaced putting me at ease. I also asked for the guttering around the whole house to be replaced however Hayden recommendation was that the only a small area of guttering needed replacing and not the whole lot "why spend money when you don't need to". was the response - Not something you hear from tradesman very often. Overall the work was carried out to a high standard, I didn't even notice that his team was working as they were as quite as they could be and just got on with the job. Would definately be using them again should a need arise and will be recommending them going forward.

My old flat roof finally sprung a leak, (not surpringly), after 25 years. Time to replace I thought, so Google it for quickness. After half an hour of searching for roofers and only getting to the letter C, my Wife thrust a copy of our local Check a Trade magazine into my hands. Wise move as there, staring me in the face, was Armstrong & Armstrong roofing, and I didn't even get to the letter C. A local family run business was a great start followed quickly with a survey carried out by Hayden, followed again with a full detailed quotation a couple days later. Any questions I had were addressed and I had no doubt that we had chosen the right local company. I could not be happier with the completed work! I have to say that Hayden and his team were complete professionals. They have completely replaced by flat roof above the garage extension, and also added insulation to it. I had received so many quotes and his was the only one which, frankly, was honest. He was able to explain precisely what the job entailed, what he was going to do and why, based on my specific requirements and needs. Further to this, I was able to go up on the roof over the course of three days to check the progress of the work. His team explained the details of it to me and I was able to be really confident about what they were doing. Roofing in particular can leave customers vulnerable if they do not understand the process and cannot see what is being done on the roof. I would strongly recommend their services. Thank you.

Terrible company phoned left message got a call back 9 hours later asked for quote on a dormer roof which was completely unrealistic @£1700 tried to enter in conversation with representative who completely ignored me Would never use such an unprofessional company with an uninterested representative POOR SHOW ARMSTRONG Thankyou for your reply this time shame you never replied last time I have sourced several companies who are willing to replace the whole roof with 18 mm ply and EPDM rubber which is a far superior product than felt out of 4 companies no one quoted more than £800 which makes me wonder why you are DOUBLE nevertheless thank you for your time and lack of response to my text

I used Armstrong & Armstrong after hearing and reading nothing but good reviews. I needed my flat roof redone and I was not disappointed. From start to finish they were very professional and completed a first class job. The installers that actually did the job were lovely, inviting me on many occasions to inspect there work and to check if I was happy. The man in charge of A&A also called me a couple of days after the work to check if I was happy too. On finishing they cleared all rubbish and hosed down the area to remove dust and dirt. I would not hesitate recommending them. Will be using their services again for sure.

I found Armstrong and Armstrong from ‘Which Trusted Trader’ as I wanted a reputable local roofing specialist to repoint tiles/air ridge vent on my pitched roof as light and rainwater was penetrating my loft. Hayden popped round promptly and diagnosed the problem by using his binoculars. His team popped round soon after to expertly repair the tiles/did the repointing. I found this company through Which, Trusted Trader. Sure enough, they were correctly assessed by them. They were punctual, used quality products and took no short cuts. The crew, 3 in total, were polite, and expert in their trade, and they invited me to view their work at each stage. Another small, though important observation was: I didn't notice them take any 'breaks,' though they must have, and they didn't, in fact they refused, that I provide any catering for them. This, as we all know, is a very rare occurance.

I rarely have a situation where I have anyone in construction - where they turn up, give a quote, respond in a timely manner to e mails and do what they say - WHEN they say they will do it and all in a courteous and professional way. We replaced my flat roof after multiple "repairs" by another roofer.. All Done and dusted in 3 working days. In a world where the simple things like communication seems to have been forgotten about, Hayden did this very well. Would very much recommend them.

Delighted with the service provided by this company. They came out the day I contacted them, managed to get a tile like the ones on my roof, returned to cut it to shape and fitted it the same day. They also cleared out all the moss and leaves from both sides of the gulleys by the upstairs bay window. They were polite, knowledgeable and efficient.
