"Bakery is amazing with a wonderful array of sweets, however, the service can be and should be a lot better"
"The lady at the front of the store was rude and when I tried to ask questions about the items she acted like I was a nuisance/talked away from me to the point where I could barely hear her"
"If you’ve been sleeping on this bakery, stop"
"This place has delicious bread but rude cashier's who are very disrespectful never have change even for a $10 bill always have a bad attitude towards customers FYI you have a job due to your clients customers don't forget that the owner needs to get this straight customer service first!"
"Don't bother placing an order in advance, specially for a rosca de reyes"
Bakery is amazing with a wonderful array of sweets, however, the service can be and should be a lot better. The woman who served us looked like she didn't even want to be there and didn't even bother to make more coffee after my partner and I ordered two small ones with one of them less than half empty.
The lady at the front of the store was rude and when I tried to ask questions about the items she acted like I was a nuisance/talked away from me to the point where I could barely hear her. Like, I just want to support the store and eat delicious baked goods. Plus, my choice was dry and disappointing.
If you’ve been sleeping on this bakery, stop. This bakery has some of the best sprinkle cookies I’ve ever had. The cream horn, coconut haystacks, tres leches are also phenomenal. 10/10 chefs kiss. It’s also got a great sense of value. These treats have weight but are so reasonably priced.

Don't bother placing an order in advance, specially for a rosca de reyes. They will sell it anyway and speak to you in a condescending tone like it's your fault they can't keep track of their own business. Just show up and get someone else's order...or don't go there at all.
Cheap pastries and great tasting. We were just walking by and something about this place made us stop and we are happy we did. They had cookies, pastries, and a few other desserts when we stopped by late at night. Wide variety of items for whatever you are in the mood for!
love love love this panadería! it’s in a very gentrified area, so several people overlook and judge this hidden gem. the pastries are very fairly priced, and super yummy. many assume that they’re “dry” or “hard”, but that’s pure uneducation of true hispanic pastries.
The customer service was fine, but the pastries were incredibly dry. I know that compared to “typical” donuts, Mexican pastries are a bit drier and not as sweet; however, these were rock hard. We tried the ring pastry with the sugar coating
Best Mexican bakery hands down - I love going there for every day baked goods, or to get bread for more traditional occasions such as Kings Day Rosca or Pan de Muerto. The service is always great. I also like their tres leches cake, but my
I order a cake for a party and cake was so dry and hard, it felt like if they did it 4 days before I pick it up. I was so mad because I had to many guest and I couldn't give theme any of the horrible cake. How embarrassing!! I call to give
Well this is my personal experience I stopped in January 6th to buy some bread and a small rosca de reyes (by the way it was very expensive.) So after choosing what I want the person in the front desk said I have to charge separate I ask
I recently went there for the first time. I must say the bread was fresh soft not stale not hard and the price was not bad either. I like there sprinkle cookies and their chocolate cookies and let's not forget about the famous Concha. I
Flan was delicious and a few other assorted baked goods were freshly made and delicious. In a pandemic they may want to consider having people queue up and have staff take things out of the cabinets to reduce contamination but customers
Very bad service! I ordered a cake days before my daughters bday as it usually should be, everything is fine the cashier took my info of the cake I wanted fillings etc. just for them to call me on my daughters bday party to let me know
Came here a few weeks ago and customer service was horrible, female cashier wouldn't even acknowledge me as I was trying to pay. She made me feel like I was a nuisance and incompetent. She threw my bag of pastries to the side after I
This place has been around for long time, havent been to it in afew years but just recently went back and it's still as I remember it.good quality mexican bread, good taste and fresh . I just stop by for a coffee and a concha or two.
Huge selection of cookies and baked goods. Extremely clean on the inside and great prices. The coconut macaroons were by far my favorite and rank among some of the best I’ve ever had. They were extremely moist with great flavor. More
The lady at the counter was SO RUDE! I took a bread to take a look and smell it and didn’t touch anywhere. When I put it back, she started to complain my behavior, which sounded like I contaminated the bread. I feel so disrespected!
Never going back to this bakery. We found a roach and when I called the bakery. They didn’t do anything about it and wouldn’t give me a refund or make me a another one. Also I live an hour away and so definitely disappointed.
I've been coming to this bakery for years. Their bread is always delicious and their cakes are a must. They are custom make so you can request any cake you'd like. It's family owned so they will know you by name.
Is one of the best Mexican Bakery’s I have been in Chicago. I live in Plainfield IL and we go still go there to buy the delicious bread. I really recommend this place. Great customer service and super friendly.
The pastries are good, the place is clean but the lady at the counter today, SO RUDE. She acted like I was bothering her when I asked a question. You shouldn't have this person interacting with customers
I go to Artemio's almost every other day since the owner and staff have known me since I was knee high to a Chihuahua. XD One girl in recent years has been very rude towards certain customers and tends
Best Bakery in the city as far as I'm concerned. Inexpensive, delicious, and a great selection. I have to limit myself when I go in or I'll buy the whole dam store! Love, love love this place! ❤️ More
Great assortment of great tasting mexican bread. My only disappointment is they dont have the empanadas de camote/calabaza. They were my favorite and always bought a dozen to share. …
This bakery is amazing! I would eat the cookies made here everyday, for every meal if i could! Friendly staff and great prices to go with it, cant get much better than Artemio's!
My all time childhood favorite Panaderia. You can’t go wrong with any pan you choose. Liz is the sweetest and most welcoming cashier. Great customer service always.
Amazing. Home-made French bread right outta the oven for $2. Much better than that retail bread. Go to a real bakery like this one and support small businesses!
Great Mexican pastry and bakery with good price. The bread were fresh, it's famous for Concha, make sure to get some. Great customer service and super friendly.
Stumbled upon this place after having pizza around the corner. No frills legit Mexican bakery. The stuff is great, and cheap. Will definitely be back.
It has great cakes and candles for the cakes are so cheap for me. The only problem is that the bread taste was not too good. That took away 1 star.
Disgusting and will never go back! Been going there for years, cookies were delicious. A year ago my wife found hair in the more than 1 cookie.
A bunch of reviews mention Liz is extremely rude. Unfortunately I met Liz. She is extremely unprofessional and rude. WILL NEVER RETURN.
I love this place every time I go there I take bread to all coworkers even my boss it be so greasy and soft and of course very cheap….
Just tried a slice of cake and it was incredibly dry - as if it was made the day prior. Also tasted as if it were made from a mix.
Rude cashier, old cookies, as you walk in everything looks very sketchy. It is not recommended at all. Publix has fresher cookies.
I liked it, my croissant was fresh and their prices are cheap compared to the places that are there. I recommend it!!!! Greetings.
They were out of empanadas lol but the pan de muerto was delicious. Also enjoyed a cup of coffee that had been freshly brewed.
Very good Spanish Bakery in the neighborhood. Delicious cake and a very good price. I'm Eduardo Izquierdo and I recommend.
The bread is fresh and delicious, the cashier was very friendly and outgoing. I had a pleasant experience at the bakery.
Artemio's is a delightful Mexican bakery that offers an extensive range of traditional Mexican baked goods.
Cookies looks great but taste dry and crumbly - I'd just suggest to get a croissant or something next time.
I bought a Rosca de Reyes, it was AMAZING! Not the best customer service, I had to wait a while in line.
Bread stays good for about 5 days. Usually, sweet bread goes hard after 12 hours. This place is awesome.
Worst cake ever it's very dry. Don't waste your money. My moms birthday was ruined.
Sweet bread and cakes are out of this world. 1 word to describe [ exquisite]
Love the cakes reasonable price. The staff are always friendly.
Very nice selection of baked goods at very affordable prices.
The best chocolate conchas I’ve ever had In my life.
So good!!! Definitely a must try when in the area!
