"The best place on the street to buy your croissants, chocolatine, apple turnovers or any type of bread! It feels like you're in Europe when you set foot there"

"Very good bread"
It looked very nice, according to the comments, and maybe I'm unlucky, but the shelves were really bare at 4:20 p.m., for these baguettes, and the choice seemed very slim to me. I choose a white baguette, but impossible to pay by credit, or even by debit for a purchase of less than $5... Pressure sales?? I left empty-handed.
Fantastic! Wonderful selection and amazing basics. Very much enjoyed my fruit pastry and croissant. It’s cash only but there’s an atm right across the street in the green branded bank. The woman running the shop was grumpy but in her defense she’s probably been up since 4am and I am an annoying tourist.
The best place on the street to buy your croissants, chocolatine, apple turnovers or any type of bread! It feels like you're in Europe when you set foot there. It smells good and the little lady at the counter is charming with her southern French accent.
The croissants were flaky...but the taste disappointed us. We also bought two baguettes... which seemed light to us because the crumb, although light, was quite dry and had not retained any taste. Another disappointment on the bakery side.
Very good bread. The peach Danish was the best we have. We always want to try this but there is always a line up. On our last day before heading home, we got Danish, cinnamon raisin roll, strawberry desserts; and they were all very good.
If you're looking for a good old fashioned bakery this is the place to go. I have never bought any bread there only pastry. And they're really good !!! Small cakes, cookies, everything is good. It's a lovely small shop.
Finally croissants and chocolatines like in Europe. I had a lot of trouble finding it in Quebec, because it was often too greasy. Very happy to live in the neighborhood, I highly recommend! Very nice welcome!
Always the best bread, the best service and the unconditional smile of the staff. The bread has a rich, full taste and the pastries are excellent. Above all, don't miss the homemade pizza: it's excellent!
The products are really quality, but you have to put a notice << only debit or $>>. The most unpleasant thing is choosing the products and when to pay, ... No credit. It's really not the customer's fault.
Their bread is all good but their puppy seeds sourdough loaf, fruits pastries and of course croissants are amazing. Love the feel of “village bakery”, no frills but it’s the magnet of the neighborhood.
Quaint little pastry shop on trendy rue Cartier near Museum. I can only guess due pandemic situation and few visitors, the $5.00 minimum debit card use was overlooked. Thank heaven for small mercies!!
We recognize the know-how, among other things, by the quality of the flakiness of the croissants and chocolatiers. Same thing for sourdough baguettes, leek quiches or even simple muffins.
It’s a place with good prices and good taste! A warm and friendly appearance makes the most suitable place to be the bakery and pastry shop to be loyal to it for several years!
Disappointed with the basic baguette! Very very light, hard to the touch and sounds hollow when tapped. I'll let you imagine the sensation in the mouth! Damage.
Very good choice, starting very early in the morning, everything was excellent, the croissants, the chocolatines and the breads, we will return!
Fantastic bakery. They specialize in various loaves of bread, but some dessert items are available. One important note: They only accept cash.
A “must” to discover in Quebec City, great variety of bread and pastries to “lick your fingers”! Courteous and welcoming staff.
The quality of the products is remarkable. The service is impeccable. In short, a bakery to recommend with your eyes closed.
Best bread in town, especially the ciabatta baguette. The desserts are also divine, especially the pear and almond tart!
Authentic French bakery with the best pain au chocolat on Avenue Cartier. Sells out fast on weekends!
The best baker in Quebec City. Very good croissants. The staff is very helpful and so is the boss.
I would fly from my home in NYC to Quebec just for the raison sweet bread here at this bakery.
Very nice artisanal bakery. The breads are made on site. My choice is the walnut bread. Yum.
The have the best bread ever. Their tarts are super delicious as well!
The best baker in our city. Beyond all doubt. Friendly people. ❤️❤️
Delicious. A real treat for a Vancouverite . So love Quebec City.
Super good and "always fresh", which is not the case everywhere!
