Place was very clean and well kept, and imaam reads amazing but as my first time going there I didn’t expect to see a sister yelling at mothers of small children.. I understand some of them misbehaved but they are also children and you have to understand that children will be children. She wouldn’t let a mother walk from one end of the masjid to another to grab a water for her son and she said her son HAS to be with her even if she will return.. another sister didn’t want the mother to get into a fight so she just got the water for the mother and her son
Beautiful taraweeh recitation. I wish the women would be moved upstairs. Most of the ladies there are not the most welcoming. I think it's the nature of the Guyanese women. You'd think they're not welcoming but they're just naturally solemn... get to know them though and you'll change your mind. Not all but a lot of the older ones. I am a regular attendee in Ramadan and I try to talk to and welcome everyone, especially new faces. It saddens me what happens the the sister who had a complaint recently. I hope she comes back to a different experience.
The masjid is beautiful but Wallahi I did not feel welcomed. My first time to this masjid and probably will be my last. Allahu Alam. I was the only African American sister there. When I entered and gave Salaams no one returned them to me. After Mahgrib I asked a sister to switch spots to make Sunnah prayers and she gave me a nasty look and a wave of her hand. I wanted to cry. Never in my 8 years as a Muslim have I ever been treated this way and during the month of Ramadan at that. May Allah guide us all. Ameen
If you have kids and intend to pray at masjid As Siddiq, please beware. The older generation is nagging, and have hatred for kids playing in the masjid, they make a big cry about a toddler running or a baby crying, and they humiliate the parents. You’re better off taking your children to Ahlul Quran masjid or masjid on the van wyck where they actually recognize kids as the future and facilitate them, by making accommodations for kids and showing them tolerance and understanding.
Was one of my favorite mosque. But unfortunately no more wont be coming back unless a janaza. I am a revert to islam and the way I was treated I felt like I was In a place not welcomed. The older brothers part of the administration are terrible they chase the young brothers away from the house of Allah. Thanks this community is not recommended by me for young brothers. Go to al anzar or al abidin you will feel welcomed or to the aftican mosque on supthin.
Management-less mosque . Few people built this masjid only for them - when they finished Salat with jamaat , they get off the masjid and lock the mosque , last week Friday ( 03/03/2023) I went Mosque for Fajer salaat at 5:50am ( it was dark and stars in sky ) the guy did not allow me to make Salaat , he said masjid is locked .
Went there today June 1, 2018; around Ramadan 15. All facilities for you to pray and break the fast and have dinner. Well organized, clean, orderly. Catering for females also with separate section for them. Wheelchair ramp for the handicapped which is commendable. All 5 times daily salat plus Juma.
Looks like a palace! You never should fall for a beauty, when it comes to Islamic matters. This mosques all doors are closed! During Ramadan! Mosque has 4 gates to enter, all doors have chains and locks, locked! Funny! #ummah@sleep!
Yes everything is ok,just you need to keep the prayer room cool,we feel a little bit of hot when we were making prayer. And if it is possible some cold water in case of thirsty. Thanks for all the efforts you did.
Very nice we enjoyed tha month each year we don't forget tha how we listen tha Travis and opening our fast and also my kids loves too we missed it very much we can't wait 2024

The best community ever, I’m proud to be a permanent member of this community. The masjid is beautiful and the people are amazing and kind.
Went to it and it was very spiritual. It was also neat and clean. A lot of people go to it and I mean a lot. On Eid there was barely space.
Some reason it's not coming up under masjid anymore nor am I finding the ones near jfk as much by searching "masjid" it used to work
I prayed Jummah at the mosque. The khutab was ok but very long and may not be good for someone who have to return to work.
