I was scheduled with Asata for I move from a storage facility this past Friday. I spent a week trying to contact them to confirm At various numbers to which neither number announced the moving company by its name and when someone picked up they just answered with a hello. That in itself was very unprofessional and finally when Deborah did get back to me she apologize saying they were having issues with their IT department which certainly was just an excuse I’m sure. The day of my move I took a half a day off of work and travel two hours to get to my location where I was meeting Asata movers between 2-4pm. Needless to say they didn’t show and no one called and I wanted until 7pm. After being totally frustrated I have course tried to text my sales rep Deb to no avail and called Alex several times with no answer. Later that evening I got him on the phone to which he answered the telephone again with a hello not with a company name and then Told me yes the truck broke down. Do you think that if this was the truth they would’ve had the decency to call me and let me know that they were having issues if that was indeed true. Obviously I am not using them for my move and I have to have new movers now scheduled and I am awaiting my deposit back which they conveniently have not honored as of yet. Do not use this company I do not understand how a business can run so inefficiently. Terrible experience

I've been through a few moving companies over the years, and these guys are the BEST and very fair in price. They arrived early and came with muscle. They were fast, efficient, careful and they wrapped all of our big pieces up very well. No damage was done at all. We had a 2 bedroom with lots of furniture and they did it all in 4 hours. Removal + delivery. Done!! One thing to note is when they ask "How many pieces of furniture do you have" for your quote, be very very specific. Other movers that I talked to only wanted to number of "really big" pieces, so that's what I told this crew, so they came with 3 guys. The owner called me after the movers on site reported the real total to him - explaining that he would have sent 4 if he had known how much more work there was, but he didn't charge me extra for the mix-up in communication and we took good care of the guys with fat, well-deserved tips, as we all should. On the second round of dropping everything off at our new place, 2 more movers from their team magically appeared to help the main crew get it done quicker. I am so impressed - :) Thank you Alex!

At the end of April 2021, my family was all scheduled to move from Brooklyn to Texas via American Van Lines. After countless conversations about planning, costs, arrival times, etc., we were all set. Then on the day of the move AVL never showed up. They didn't even call to explain. We had to call them and we got one lie after the next. When we realized we had to find a new moving company, we started to panic, calling every one we could find on Google. Luckily Alex from Asata was able to come out in a matter of hours to give a quote on site and arrange a move for the next day. A professional team came out, packed everything up and loaded it onto their truck as promised. A few weeks later, I got the call that our stuff had arrived in TX and I'd need to meet them at the house the next day to receive the goods. Although the team to finish the move was not directly related to Asata, they did a great job. Long story short: American Van Lines cannot be trusted but Asata gets the job done.

I recently moved from NYC to dallas TX and used Asata. The price was below many of their competitors, so they were an easy choice. My representative Debra was very communicative and helpful throughout the whole process and helped ease my mind for this daunting task. The guys who picked up our items from NYC were thorough and helpful, but when we tipped them, the foreman was ungrateful of the amount and suggested we tip $500, which was 20% of the whole cost of our move. We are both in the service industry so we understand the importance of gratuity but this was very uncomfortable, and we felt pushed into having to give more. Upon arrival in dallas (only 10 days later), the delivery guys were both very nice and appreciative of the gratuity we gave them. A few boxes were beaten up a bit, unfortunately I have not been able to unpack anything yet to see if there are any damages, if so I will edit this review. Overall, I recommend Asata.

I moved from NYC to Georgia, the experience was okay overall. Pricing was fine, workers were pleasant and respectful when they came(pickup and drop off). They were perhaps too efficient with the moving as they brought down items they were not supposed to including bags of garbage meant to be thrown out and clothing meant for my remaining days in NY. I was told movers would preform full breakdown and reassembly of furniture; 2 of my beds were not fully assembled (boards under mattress we left unscrewed) and they left the remaining screws taped in a container. One of the drawers for my bed was visibly broken and a dresser was damaged in the back. Finally, i recently underwent surgery and received 3 medications. I have 2/3 however my Percocet pain medication has been the only one missing since the move. Overall, a decent experience

This is the best thing I have ever been gifted, EVER. Alex, Dina, and Edward were soooo great to work with. They came and packed everything up in our apartment, INCLUDING hanging furniture. They were so nice and quick with everything. I will 100% use them EVERY TIME we move. They took all of the stress of moving away. I said it earlier but, this was the best! We are a newly wed couple with a 6 month old baby. We both work full time, and the weight of our move was hanging over our heads. Then, my mother said, as our wedding gift, gifted us the full package with Asata. The stress totally went away. It is priceless how much better we felt. And then the actual process was so great! I can't say enough about them. Another shout out to Alex, Dimitri, and Edward. They were the best. 100% recommended.

Asata moving provided a seamless moving experience that was professional, quick, and competitively priced. Within minutes of requesting a quote on Yelp, Alex would reach out and provide an ALL-IN quote. This really clinched the deal for me. No other moving company would offer a flat rate including packing labor and material. Huge time saver. They arrived on time and after a quick consultation they got to work. When Alex, Edward and Dima were packing up my place I felt perfectly comfortable leaving my belongings in their hands, and my occasional check ins confirmed that. I can't recommend these guys enough. They have the years of experience and it shows. It's a smaller company than the other guys, but you will realize the impeccable service they provide once you ask them to do your next move.

I moved with these guys at the end of June, and I did not have time to thank these guys. I had a team of 3 people, Alex Edward and Dima made my move much more easier and stress free. I had to move from Brooklyn to Florida. Most of the items I had they were very fragile, I did not know how to pack them securely, and Alex told me that they'll do it for me. And they did, everything was packed so secure, that there was no way for items to brake. Everything arrived the way it left my apartment. I really appreciate Asata. I will use them next time I will need moving for sure, and will tell all my friends to use them as well. Recommend Asata for everyone who needs any moving services.

I recently used Asata Moving and I’m pleased to say that the experience exceeded expectations. The movers were prompt in showing up, and worked efficiently in packing up my stuff. Alex and Edward were such a huge help! This was my first time using a moving company. Alex was very understanding when it came to my lack of moving knowledge. They carried all my things up 4 floors, were very helpful when it came to packing up some of my extra items, and even provided boxes. I was worried I may have to take my bed apart by myself, but they came equipped with their own tools and had it apart in no time. They handled my boxes and antiques with care. After searching for a while for a decent moving company I came across these guys. From the moment I spoke to Alex I knew they were right for the job. Alex was direct and personable. Asata moving helped me a lot with my stuff, they were super quick it took them 2 hours and the movers came on the assigned time. The price was the best, much better than the other companies were giving me. The service was wonderful nothing was broken or scratched, the walls weren't touched as well. Every piece of furniture was carefully wrapped and then stocked in the truck. I had a king size bed that needed to be reassembled. So everything was great, and I recommend them to everyone. Best moving place for NYC. I contacted about 10 places at once and Asata got back to me first (within a few hours) on a weekend. They communicated with me via text which made things super easy and I was talking to a real person (Alex) not an automated person which made it so much better and not annoying. We hired Asata to move a 2-br from Washington Heights to Brooklyn and couldn't be happier with the results! They handled all our items quickly, efficiently and with great care. From start to finish, working with Asata Moving was so easy and stress free. They asked lots of questions and had me send photos and gave me a very reasonable quote for my move. I used Asata to move from Brooklyn to Newark. I was charged a flat rate which was so convenient because I had no idea how long everything would take and how much the tolls would add up to. The company communicated with me before, during, and after the move. The movers were very kind people and they worked efficiently. They asked me to double check, sometimes triple check, things to make sure there was anything that I needed. I would definitely hire them again!

I used Asata Moving to move from Garwood to Jersey City. I got a quote over the phone of $825 to move a 1 bedroom apartment, and they stuck to that price. Alex and Stas were very efficient workers. They wrapped everything up and carefully loaded and unloaded. In all, the process took 5 hours, including travel time and a lunch break. We were done by 1:15, and I had the rest of the day to unpack, organize, etc. I would definitely recommend them!

Asata is such a great moving company, I only feel bad that in the hustle and bustle of moving and settling in I've put off writing this review. Really awesome service!! It was 2 movers and within 2 hrs I was moved out of my old apt into the new one. Also, it was a real bonus that the guys were really nice and friendly!
