This venue is not suitable and is not adequately staffed for children's parties. My child attended a 7 year old birthday party for 28 kids this weekend. For the first 20min, one disinterested 'coach' played a game of "heaven and hell" which entailed a penalty shoot out- Essentially until a winner emerged., there was an increasing number of losers told sit down beside the fence and watch. This upset a number of them and was not suitable for 7 yr olds. Then it was decided that another coach on his own would have a match 14 v's 14, but unfortunately he had no bibs, so nobody knew who was playing who, and 14 v 14 kids is too many kids on the teams. The parents had to get bibs and request splitting into two groups/pitches. When it came to the party, there was no room big enough to hold the group, so the kids were split between two adjacent rooms - this left one room with the cake overcrowded and one room with annoyed kids. To finish off, the kids were sent out onto the pitch again for a kick around, this time without any coach. The entire place has no entry / exit safety mechanisms/barriers, so kids can wander wherever, including upstairs to the bar and to the car park. This place wasn't designed for kids parties and Coolock Astro as no idea how to run them. I didn't participate in a complaint on site (which was made) but I understand the response was that this level of resourcing, games and rooms was included in an email sent after the booking, so we were told the situation in writing !!! Overall, not a pleasant nor safe venue and unless 100% of your kids group are into soccer, then this is not the right place.

We had an 8th birthday party recently at Astro Park, we had the Nerf war on the Astro pitch. We arrived, took the names and got started easily, the kids loved the Nerf War, it was run by one of the staff. After an hour of Nerf it was up to the party room where sausage, chicken and chips, and diluted orange and black were served, and we did the cake. Then we had the use of one of the pitches for the kids to have a kick around and the parents could arrive and take their kids away. All that counts is what the kids think, and they had an absolute ball. I would definitely use it again

We were in Dublin for a stag do and they guys at Astro Park were great. We arrived early and because they were just opening up they were happy for us to have a couple of games of 5 a side to stop us sitting around waiting for the 45 minutes until the activities started. The Combat Archery was great fun and there were a few different games to stop it getting boring. Bubble football was a laugh and the guys were game in helping us target the stag. There is a sports bar upstairs with reasonably priced beer and the finger food was pretty good as well.

Astro park hosted my child’s 7th birthday party. It was a nerf gun / football party. The guys in Astro where brilliant. When we arrived a little early they opened a pitch and gave us a ball to play with until all the kids arrived. The kids enjoyed the various games in the nerf war which was hosted by an enthusiastic member of staff from the Astro. We went into have the food in the party room and all went well. We then had free time after to play football on a pitch supervised by ourselves. Will definitely be back again for other parties!

Absolutely brilliant place ..I stupidly mixed up party times and the guy on didn't get his name was so accommodating unfortunately we couldn't have the nerf party as there was another booked but he did give us a football one supervised and food everything went brilliant I can't thank them enuf for coming to the rescue of my stupid mistake... thank u again will definitely be back kids all had a ball ...

I had my son's 9th birthday party here 2 weeks ago. He said it was his best party yet. All of his friends thoroughly enjoyed it too. We started with the nerf gun games, then had food and cake and ended with a football match. There's a balcony overlooking the games where parents can relax with a drink or coffee while watching the activities. Overall, very well run and organised.

One of the best astros around. Staff are very accomadating if you have a problem with a pitch or you have paid up for a day but need to change it etc. Lots of parking with a security guard walking about although i have heard there were 1 or 2 break ins but that was ages ago and they seemed to have stopped. Don't leave belongings lying in view inside your car.

We had a nerf gun party ages 9 to 12, all the girls & boys really enjoyed it. 1 hour followed by food (no choice: chips, nuggets and cocktail sausages, with juice). Staff very friendly and helpful. 15 euro per child. Easy to book. Would recommend! One star off as a choice of food would be nice and the party room was very tight.

Had my son's 10th birthday party here.Hes choice was a Nerf party which they had 60 mins of,30mis of food time and 30 mins football.they all enjoyed every minute of it,very friendly staff when i booked and true the party,they couldn't do more for us.a very very happy costumer,highly recommending.Thank you all again ❤️

Was here for a kids party. NERF wars followed by food and then football. Very well organised. Staff are very helpful. My daughter has allergies and the staff were very accommodating with this. I didn't actually know they did kids parties here. There's also bubble football. Would highly recommend to check it all out.

Really good experience in Astro Park for a child's 8th birthday. An hour of nerf, followed by food and then about 40 minutes of football. Kids had a ball as the different events catered for everybody. Staff were really helpful and had time for us and the kids. Definitely recommend Astro Park for a similar event.

First time my son at this camp and I have to say well organised and kids kept outdoors even in rain (make them tough) and in separated pods. Highly recommend!! As local clubs go this place is one of the best I have been to. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, the pint is very reasonably priced and platter food was nice. The staff are polite and capable. The place itself is large enough with a smoking balcony and it is clean throughout.

We had our 7 year old son birthday party here , it was very disappointing. The party we booked was cancelled because they thought it might rain (which it didn't) not a drop. Very badly organised from start to finish which is a shame as the games and and activities are a great idea.

Had a Nerf Wars Party for my sons birthday with a few friends from his school. They really enjoyed it. The staff kept the kids excited and engaged with different games to mix things up. The chips and nuggets and sausages for the party topped off a memorable day. Ray

A nerf party where the kids were just given a pitch. Nothing was organised (no games or teams etc). The bullets were all over the pitch when they arrived and they spent a lot of time gathering them. Could do it yourself for the price with a few nerf guns and a field

Outdoor 5-a-side soccer all-weather pitches with good facilities. Booking in advance required. This is also a popular venue for kids' birthday parties - they get time on a pitch with a refereed match, then chicken nuggets, chips and a drink in the venue itself.

Decent bar for a match or just a pint. Loads of screens. Tends to do that silly thing locals try though of putting on unwanted, overly loud non bands consisting of some dude with a guitar and a load of backing tracks. I think even in midweek nights.

The best thing about this place is Paul after I weekly drop my nanny and her pal's off (3 Amigo's) he always makes sure the all get home safe and sound such a gentleman before you get any ideas my nanny is 83yrs young. All of the staff are top's

Great spot for a 5 a side with the lads. super was of get the fitness back up even if you're no good a football it's still a good laugh. Well recommended for everyone. Good value for money and you can't put a price on the fun you'll have.

Being using the Astropark for a long numbers of years for regular 5 a side and it is a great facility with really helpful and co-operative staff. Also attended kids parties and team celebrations and everyone was very happy. Excellent.

Avoid here at all costs for food waited nearly a hour for food to come stone cold . It was so quiet, there was no reason for such a wait and to get stone cold meat served after waiting all that time. Beyond poor quality dishes

Incredibly rude disinterested staff in office. Inquired about where to pick up my son and guy in office looked at me like I had 3 heads and could not give me a definitive answer. Warning to everyone, steer clear!!

My son had a fab time at a camp here for the week. Even though the weather wasn't the best John who looked after them was absolutely brilliant and made it so fun for them. It's all he's talked about.

The Astro turfs used to be good, but they are poor and lack of maintenance - ripped goal nets, and lack of light in some areas of some pitches, also the excessive amount of rubber pellets

This is a great local pub in a sports center. Very good atmosphere. Lots of screens for the games. Haven't tried the food yet but it looked pretty tasty . You can smoke on the balcony .

My daughter has been in Easter and summer camps here and she absolutely loved every minute of it ,her "teacher" was really great with all the children and very attentive,would recommend

Took a group of students here. We were half an hour late for our booking but staff were so friendly and understanding. The teens (and I!) had a great time playing bubble football :)

Great NERF party for my 7 year old! The staff were all fabulous and very helpful. Boys had great fun! Food and party room were perfect. Would recommend and book again!

We played 6 a side football regularly here. Good lighting on dark evenings. Netting over the pitch keeps the ball local which is great. Carpark is very convenient.

Our son spent several weeks at the camp, and had a wonderful time. Thanks to all the coaches for a great time and the relaxed and entertaining atmosphere.

Popular spot with loads of astro pitches. Pretty convenient off the Santry/ Coolock exit off M1. Place is pretty busy most evenings so book ahead.

Excellent experience with nerf wars party. I had 13 child at the party & staff were really great with the kids especially during nerf wars part.

Great place to run a corporate event. Bar upstairs overlooks the pitches, so if you are not playing, you can have a beer and watch the game.

The pitches are good and the changing rooms are alright but no water fountain and the bathrooms could be cleaner.
