I entered the store weeks ago to pick up my final repeat of my prescription from my specialist. I discovered I had arrived a day early to pick it up - no problem as I was assured I could have it delivered to my address instead. I chose this option because I was going to be out of the area for the next few weeks and knew I could not make it in person to pick up my medication. The young, tall Asian gentleman at the pharmacy counter filled in my delivery form/details for me. Weeks later I have arrived at home to find that my medication was never delivered. I called up today and was advised that it was because I had not left a contact number. I was not asked by the staff member weeks ago to leave a number - to clarify, they did all of the form, I neither touched it nor saw it, I only gave them my details as prompted. Now my repeat has expired and I will soon be without my medication for months until I can next get an appointment with my specialist. I should have had enough stock to last much longer. Now I will have to rush for an extra premature appointment which will be costly, and I may be without my medication altogether for a period of time. I am greatly inconvenienced and immensely disappointed as this has been my pharmacy of choice for years. The gentleman who answered my call today was understanding and apologetic, yet unfortunately I was still unable to rely on the service I needed.

Given we are in middle of flu and covid seasons, I'd expect the staff to at least adhere to basic mask wearing protocols. Patrons may be having weakened immunity, so this is a fundamental risk reduction strategy. Unfortunately, that's not the case here. Add to this very long (30min) wait times, and this pharmacy feels like a petri dish. Amended to 1 star. After 30min+ wait, the script i got was not filled correctly. Update Update from previous review of six month ago. I went to get refill from a script they insisted they keep in store. I guess thar ensures you cant shop around their bad service. After 25min wait, I was told the script had eith them had expired. I asked for the script so I discuss with my doctor. It turns out they they gave me someone else's script! Heading back to the store to return the script gave me (privacy, people) and collect my actual script. I strongly urg people not to trust these folks. Is it possible to give a negative star rating? Maybe a blackhole rating is needed? Three blackholes from me.

This use to be a great pharmacy I went for many years. Unfortunately and disappointingly in the last few months the service relating to scripts is terrible. The staff taking the scripts have no customer or communication skills while another staff member walks around with a snarly expression. Shocking so sad to see after having such lovely people there in years gone by. Service is so.................... slow now. Just incompetent. So many mistakes are made because of poor communication from the pharmacy assistants. So sad to see the fantastic staff that use to be there years ago have gone and replaced by inferior, incompetent, unfriendly staff. Just a horrible experience. The staff serving at the register at the front of the shop on the other hand have great customer skills. Very disappointing for a local business to deteriorate to the extreme.

I have been going to the same Pharmacy for many years and while there were a few hiccups when the new owners took over those problems have been totally overcome. The staff are helpful, knowledgeable and go the extra mile. When I had Covid a staff member bought the anti-virals to my door less than an hour after I spoke with my doctor. Amazing service. I am also on a drug that is difficult to get at the moment and they have been ensuring that I don't run out by letting me know when they have stock. Aussie Pharmacy is exceptional, and you get wonderful, personal service of the old-fashioned kind. Can't recommend them enough.

It was my first time coming this week. Unfortunately it was unpleasant. The customer service and communication skills from the dispensary area was lacking. No smiles from the person taking my order and I felt like a nuisance. I overheard from another staff member they are down many people this week - but no matter how busy you are, please at least explain the situation, reassure the customer, or offer a realistic indication of waiting time... instead of looking annoyed in front of the customer. I'll give the benefit of the doubt they are just under pressure but please dont take it out on the customer in future.

An impressive pharmacy. The exterior would suggest that this was a small pharmacy, with the usual prescription counter and a corner shop variety of tissues and soaps. On entry, this small pharmacy, reveals so much more. The variety of products they offer is extensive and the staff both on the floor and at the dispensary are warm, inviting and knowledgeable. Gita, the pharmacist who helped me was very friendly and expert in her advice. I cannot recommend Aussie Pharmacy highly enough, please go check it out!

What can I possibly say about this outstanding Pharmacy, I have been coming here for years and under this new outstanding management and there team, it's a pleasure dealing with them and especially with Gita and Hamish they both have wonderful mannerisms, beautiful smiles and they real make time for you and understand your need and concerns. It really is pleasure going there and with out a doubt I would recommend Aussie Pharmacy for sure.

I waited for an hour for my prescription, only to be informed that they only had the generic brand available and would require more waiting for it. The pharmacy was overcrowded, disorganised, and it was evident that all customers were frustrated waiting for a script. A fellow customer mentioned that this was a recurring issue. I ultimately went to Florence Pharmacy around the corner and received my script in under 2 minutes.

This was our go-to pharmacy for many years. It was always a pleasant experience and great value. Regrettably now it has changed markedly in terms of service and experience and the prices have sky-rocketed. To counter the inevitable argument that the cost of living has gone up, I can say that we are now going to a different pharmacy and their prices are infinitely more reasonable.

Since changing from Superpharmacy they are not the same. Can never get through on phone to place an order. It’s like they take the phone off the hook so they don’t have to answer it. CORRECTION !!! I have just had a call from the manager at 6.50pm and their phone system was down due to rain damage. He apologised, took my order and I am a happy customer again. Thank you Nabil.

That was my second point of contact with a new polite, respectful staff member whose name was “Mehrdad”! Mehrdad patiently helped my father and guided his while He was totally confused as my father’s first language was Russian / Armenian! I am happy that the Hornsby Aussie pharmacy has changed the way it respected / care about the customer and patients.

Excellent service. Gita was extremely helpful. I’m on a waiting list for a sought after medication for diabetes and so far I have always manage to get it. This is so important for me. Gita has always been helpful anytime I have been in the chemist either for information or products. She also very friendly and takes time to chat. Highly recommend this chemist.

Sadly,My wife and I must agree with the criticisms evident in the experiences of other long-term clients.The changes in1.service,2.efficiency,3. prices and 4. corporate knowledge among staff are all too obvious. Gita has been extremely helpful. I went to two other chemists asking for a prescription anti-inflammatory tablets and was told it was out of stock. Then I went to Aussie and Gita found that it is an over-the-counter medication and got it to me right away. Thanks to her extra step which made my day!

I regularly attend here and find all of the staff and pharmacists so helpful. They recently went above and beyond when I was travelling and ran out of my medication and they worked with the closest pharmacy to ensure I was covered while I was away.

I gave this pharmacy a very negative review some months back but I have to say they have really improved enormously. I am treated with courtesy and they have increased their efficiency. I will be using them as my preferred pharmacy once again.

Service has really gone down hill since they changed hands. They wouldn’t give me repeats for my regular meds. Service was really slow. Also saw other customers there getting frustrated. Will be finding a new local pharmacy!

Used to take mum a lot here, and they were super- not so much in the past few months. Gave them a few chances, perhaps just teething issues with different staff, unfortunately never improved.
