Kendric was great! He went above and beyond to make our experience an easy and enjoyable process! After some unfortunate mechanical issues with our "first choice" truck we were forced by the owner, Mark Strauss, to choose another truck off their lot instead of honoring their original agreement which would be the return of our $1200 down payment. At that time Mark the owner also insisted that we from that point forward only deal with himself or Cory his Sales Manager. That alone made Mark questionable in character and in business practices immediately. (As a business owner we always support and have full confidence in anyone we have allowed to work for us and would NEVER make an employee seem shady, unknowledgeable or so unimportant that they should just be almost dismissed from participating in a project they've been involved with and that's exactly how Mark acted about allowing Kendric to follow through with our truck purchase) After 3 weeks and having to return several times to the car lot to attempt to find another truck they had that was comparable to the original truck (all the while we were having to put our business completely on hold and lost several jobs and a lot of money) we had to settle for a truck that was similar to meeting our needs but not quite what we wanted. After Mark kicked Kendric off of our sale we dealt with Cory and he was good. He did spend a lot of time trying to fix and find the truck we asked for and originally tried to buy. Unfortunately for Cory having a "boss" like Mark that ties your hands and obligates you to situations that you cannot control or get out of causes others to doubt your ability and honesty. Cory doesn't deserve that because he turned out to be a pretty darn good guy who isn't just a typical salesperson. He actually cares for his customers and wants to do right by them and for them. After everything was said and done (and not having to continue to deal with Mark who was getting chewed up and spit out by one of us for his despicable business practices and his stealing our down payment and thinking we didn't clearly know the law or our rights) we paid another $1600 down and got into another truck that seems to be working as it should so far. Although treated poorly by his boss, Kendric was there every step of the way helping Cory where and when he could. So overall for the benefit of Kendric and Cory I'll leave the 5 star rating! They deserve it! **Now if we could only figure out how to get the two of you and the other younger sales guy (sorry i can't remember your name) and that dude y'all call FATT into your own REAL DEALERSHIP we'd be in business!!* (And for the record: MARK YOU SHOULD REALLY STICK TO YOUR OSTRICH FARM, YOU MORE RESEMBLE THAT KIND OF MAN AND I USE THAT WORD 'MAN' LOOSELY WHEN REFERRING TO YOU!!) DO NOT BUY!!!!!! Austin Auto Traders sold us a vehicle that ran for 1 week and then broke down. They have a 30 day "hand shake" warranty agreement. I have everything date stamped through my loan company and document on there end. We drove the vehicle for 1 week, all of a sudden it started giving us problems and then just quit running. I reached out to UAC, informed them of what was going on (week 2 of truck still not running) I called and spoke to Mark (owner) at Austin Auto Traders, we had to pay someone to tow our vehicle from our home in Belton to his shop. Our truck was "worked" on for about 2 weeks. They informed us it was running and ready to go. We get to the shop start it up, everything sounds perfect. We get to the gas station pump some diesel back into the truck. Get 10 minutes down the road and it breaks down again. I called Mark and they hauled butt over there and was trying to force it to run. He ended up having to get it towed to the shop. Were it sat for about 2 months. Every time I called it was always something new as to why his mechanic wasn't working on it yet. He then told me the motor was blown and needed a replacement. He offered to pay for the motor and do the work. He claims he bought the motor and his mechanic would start on it. After time goes on, he then tells me his mechanic quit and he was looking for a new one. We finally got tired of waiting and had him take it to another shop of our choice (now we are going to have to pay out of pocket). Truck has been sitting there for about a month or two, Marks mechanic wired everything backwards or incorrectly and now they still can't figure out whats wrong with it. Total bill was $1,300 and the truck still did not run, they finally gave up and couldn't fix the problem. Then COVID19 happen and they closed the shop, so nothing more can be done right now. We made about 2 payments on the truck, I was hesitant to make the first payment. I was told by UAC that if we didn't make the first payment that the dealership would be responsible. I was holding out to make him responsible, but Mark told me he would continue to help us get the truck fixed and even sent an email to me saying this. We believed him and made the first payment. Truck was never fixed and we made two payments and mark started ignoring all text messages and phone calls. oh and 5 months later we still do not have our tags or registration. Not like it matters anyways, we gave the truck back to UAC and are done with it. We are not going to pay for a truck that does not run.

Well I would advise anyone not to purchase anything from them. I use to work for them and the owner Mark is cheap and very rude. The Chrysler 300 over heated while I drive it to drop off another vehicle and they just let it cool down and parked it back by road for sale. The Chevy cut off on me several times. The gold dodge power steering is out and it's impossible to drive. Every vehicle I cleaned interior is trashed.Plastic prices through out each vehicle is missing are destroyed with animal urine. If you think this is untrue just stop by. They couldn't even afford towels and products for me to detail . I had to wait every morning at least a hour until they got there for them to open shop. I had to use my own supplies. But if anyone needs their vehicle professionally detail look us up . And not they are leaving replies to justified and write lies about me. Only difference with me is that everything I'm saying is true. I wasn't hired to repair anything. Just a detailed. I cut grass used my home to to take there trash out. It's so bad that they told Time Warner that there place was a resident and not a business for a cheaper rate. I was instructed to close the garage because that's were they told Time Warner they sleep. Just small things like that tells alot about them. Their upset because they don't have the money to pay me. Everyone knows me. I'm straight but Mike is far from that

Mark the owner is a hostile man and becareful to pointout any flaws that his business has. I have been looking for a garage for my new business and he had a listing online, so, I went in with full intent to to rent and after 5 min of speaking to him. I noticed mold on the cieling and asked him about it and he told me thats oil thinking i wouldent know what a giant spot of mold looks like. Yes he actually said that.then i walked out side and asked if he would b able to move a couple of trucks from infront of my would b business as anyone would naturally want for thier new business. Then he got very rude and without explaining he shook my hand and stormed off. I mean if he got mad about some simple questions that were of a health concern or just a simple question about opening up space infront of my new business then thats negativity i wouldent want around and am very glad the deal didnt fall thru. Respnce to ur reply: I had what u were asking in my pocket and wasnt tryin to get a lower rate. I was only talking to u for 5 min and the price never even came up..i was litrarly just pointing it out as i feared for my health. as far as inventory i simply asked what we could do about the trucks blockin what would b my location and u got all butthurt about it. What r u gunna base the review of my business on? Nothing? Just to get bk like a child? Lol waste ur time then

Ok... I've now had time to think about what to say. Every sense the 3rd Day after I bought the truck the check engine light has been on. Shortly after that both of brake warning lights came on and the speedometer quit. I made them aware of this and their "mechanic" wiggled some wires and called that a fix and told me that's all I need to do. The transmission issues I spoke of were just ignored. A diesel mechanic ,highly recommended to me from a friend, told me the transmission is on its last leg and needs rebuilt or replaced. I really should've known better when the buying process was extremely fast. Like less than 2 hours financing and all. I'm paying almost 20k for a truck that needs almost 7k worth of work to be dependable. I don't recommend buying from these dealers without taking the truck to a dealer to have it gone over professionally! I regret my purchase. Oh the woman in the office will argue with you and ignore you on the phone to carry on a conversation with the guys in the office. Go elsewhere!!!

Adam Donmoyer It takes a lot for me to write this knowing they'll likely treat me poorly as a result. But at this point I have little to lose. I want to tell you that you can get a deal here. That we got an excellent (high mileage) truck that we could afford to pay cash for. But the thing is, we got our Truck in mid July (see the picture they took of us from their FB feed) and now it's December 7th and we're on our 3rd set of paper plates. And Cory (manager) and Mark (owner) keep promising us our title and plates (again, see picture) but for the 3rd time in a row they've dropped the ball. They collected a registration fee from us, and we provided them a copy of our passed safety inspection last summer, but after 5 months and counting there's still been nothing. No license plates. No title. And no registration sticker. And lately there's been no communication. So my advice to anyone who reads this is to go somewhere else. They're either corrupt or they're inept. Either way, you'll do better elsewhere.

If I could give them a negative star. I would. I’ll make this short august 16ish my 18 year old son bought a truck from them with a warranty. When he brought it home I told him something was knocking in the engine. I then proceeded to test drive it and the clutch was beyond gone there was 6-8 inches of play before it would engage then it was complete engagement( clutch totally shot) the knocking was verified by a diesel mechanic as the piston tapping the bottom of the head. At this point we called the dealership and have been given the run around every since. They keep saying it will be ready Friday it will be ready Friday. We left the truck with them july 23,2023. It is now august 29th and today the owner,Mark, tried to tell me oh we were working on it last night we’re doing a compression test and that takes about 16 hours. I mean like WHAAAT Seriously compression tests do not take 16 hours. Funny how these jokers feed people so much bull that they really start believing it. Buyer BEWARE!!!

So I called coming from a different dealership that was trying to screw me over Elliiot was the one to answer my call trying to process what it was that I was saying. He slowed me down and said come on over w our in house financing we're sure to get you in something that you like...down payment we'll work w that..from the moment I walked in it was a great experience very welcoming and just eager to help...Handed me a set of keys and said let's go for a ride... Very informational on the vehicle that I was test driving any questions that I may have had were answered promptly w questions answered ..All in all a great experience and if you in the market for buying a truck come see Elliot and the guys over here at Austin Auto Traders I'm all most positive that you'll be able to see what it is exactly that I'm talking about...

BUYER BEWARE Worst transaction I've EVER had!!! Dishonest and REFUSED to honor their written agreements. (Mark Strauss is the owner, so I'd ignore his 5 star reviews) It started when I bought a truck from them and it died two miles down the road. The salesperson put in writing that they would pay for any repairs over $600. The total came to almost $3,000. The sales person was fired and Mark refused to accept the WRITTEN agreement made by his sales people. Mark also refused to apply my money to a different vehicle that he had on his lot. It took over A YEAR to get my plates, after I paid for 100% of the repairs. I've purchased over 30 cars in my life (for work and family use) and I have NEVER had such a HORRIBLE dealing in car buying.

All the trucks they sell have problems! And they try to say they are perfect. Called to inquire about a truck and was told they didn’t have any info on it, I would have to go in to see it but they assured no problems. Went in and another sales guy told me the truck has a lot of problems with it, that’s why it’s parked in the back. Tried to show me another that was “in perfect condition” but the check engine light was on. Was told that it just had sensors that were unplugged to make it have more power. Even though the engine had a high pitch squeak they said that was normal. Test drive it and white smoke was coming out of the tailpipe and the squeak turned into knocking. DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE!

Well I called before I decided to drive 3 hours because I saw a truck on the Austin Auto trader website that I liked. Mark said "yes come in! we can make something happen today and get you that truck!" I drove 3 hours, got there, and the truck I was there to supposedly look at was "just taken to the shop with electrical problems right before we arrived." so I looked around and drove some other trucks instead. well bottom line is, these trucks are not trucks you want to purchase. They are ran down, bad trucks that haven't been, at all, maintenanced. Austin Auto traders is all about the money.If you want a broke down truck,within a week, go to these guys, they'll sell you one no hesitation.

Run away fast. I left there 30 minutes later it over heated and there response no answer I got it running good and drove it to see my parents and on the way back the turbos went out this is all in 45 days there response don't answer the phones the front desk lady when she answered the phone always has a why are you bothering me approach did I know it was as is yes but the first it broke down was as I pulled away from the lot they don't care about the quality of truck they sell or there customers and ask for a 5 star Review in trade for a hand shake warranty where you pay for parts and he does the labor problem is the hand shake warranty isn't worth the hand shake.

FRAUD..BUYERS BE AWARE..CAR DROP DOWN WITHIN A WEEK They don't even receive the call. Car state inspection is also failed. I purchased Nissan altima from there just a week ago. When i went for STATE INSPECTION the result was FAIL with many codes. Also,within 3 days car drop down. They don't even care for state inspection. They promise me to help me but now they not even answer the single call of mine. Cory is a really worst man i have ever seen in my life..He said i'm not responsible now and only mark can deal further. Also, He refuses to give me number of Mark. Since one day, i have been waiting for mark call.

SCAM ARTIST!! Look up the owner MARK STAUSS. He used to scam people with his insurance company. Stay far away go to a more reputable dealer. Keep looking through the reviews and you’ll find a better place to get a truck from. “Cory” Just so you have an idea we are out 4,000 deposit not to mention continuing to have to pay car note and car insurance even though we have only had the truck a total of 3 days before it completely broke down. Had to tow it to the lot “using our money” and still no truck. Mark just laughs and says it’s our problem now. Just look this company on the better business bureau!

Corey was top notch in ever aspect today. Got me in the truck I wanted at a better rate then we had discussed over the phone. Truck had a check engine light pop up on way home. Guys help diagnose and reassure me. Turns out to be very minor and am bringing truck back per thier request so they can look at the issue. Alot of dealers will pretend they don't know you once truck leaves the lot. Over all I'm recommending family and friends. I purchased a heavy duty diesel truck and am very happy with the quality of truck it is. If you need a vehicle don't hesitate to give theses guys a shot.

****Edit: I personally have now been stalked and harassed on Facebook and offerup in an effort to get me to change this review, so I'm going to have to include that as well... I have had to block and report these people they are outrageous!!!**** so 0 stars is more appropriate =/ ***** Spoke to Cory over offer up app and got the feeling the negative comments on this post are very very true... when asked about the comments he declined to comment... I have a deep gut feeling these folks are as shady as these customers claim... I'll find something else

Elliott and Michael we're both extremely polite and basically catered to all my needs. My warranty is absolutely amazing, quite shocking honestly. I would recommend anyone to purchase a car from these guys. It was a wonderful experience and they gave me much more money than they probably should have on my trade in which was amazing. They both genuinely seem to care about helping me build my credit as well which is basically unheard of in the car business. So anyway my point is this is an awesome place and I am recommending it highly

This company is absolutely horrible the manger mark. Is a lying lowlife he wants money nothing else. We bought a chevy 2500 and 3 weeks after we bought it the motor went out. The power stearing pump and the turbo went out We asked for help fixing it he said they sold it to the bank and were no longer going to have contact with us. We needed to call the bank directly. He lied on top of lies 5k dollars down and 600 a month. Save your money run fast from them. He is a true con artist.

Well where can we start.... We arrived and walked around for 45 minutes waiting on someone to show us a truck. The owner Mark Strauss came out and started acting very pushy. We go in to try and buy a truck and get out of there as soon as possible but the price was $5,000 over what the internet said. Mark’s response to the price increase, “it is what it is.” We left and bought another truck and they actually gave us their internet price. I would not do business here, EVER.

It took me a second to receive my title but the reason why is I needed to take it to get inspected. The owner did inform me that after I bought the truck, he said the title will come in first, but you need the inspection then take it back to the dealership and they will go get the registration sticker followed by the title in the mail. silly man Just got a truck from these guys, 6 weeks ago, my truck was totalled so I needed something simple to get me back on the road.

I worked with Sam here and I really enjoyed the experience. Sam and the rest of the staff really knew their trucks and what their trucks. Sam is the only non-pushy sales person I have ever worked with. The prices were highly competitive (I looked across the southern half of the US). These were very cool people and the truck I bought was beautiful. I highly recommend giving these guys a good hard look if your looking for a truck.

Unprofessional sales person. The truck that was purchased has a oil pressure issue which they had me bring the truck back. When I picked up after I was told it was fixed still have the same issue. Have setup to have the truck looked at by a certified diesel mechanic shop, so we shall see where it goes from here. Well as you can see it didn't go well. I highly recommend staying away from this dealer.

UPDATE: Mark stole $5,000 from Cory. Cory is the gentleman on just about every good review listed. When Cory went to go start his own truck lot Mark lashed out on Cory and then refused to give him his over $5,000 in commissions. Mark is a schyster and should be avoided at ALL COSTS. He is untrustworthy, if he steals from his employes, then he will definitely steal from you. BUYER BEWARE!

Don’t buy a car here! Bad service these guys are rip offs just trying to make a dollar. Put 1000$ on a 2011 chevy malibu test drove it thought it was ok until it had a power steering problem. Mike the manager made me wait a week to get the car fixed told me “its not his problem “. They sell vehicle’s and don’t even check them out before putting them out.

We bought car from this dealer last week and paid fill money and car did not pass state inspection it has 15 issues and they told move to my mechanic shop and now they are not responding phone message calls. I spent 400$ behind this car. They have to liable for state inspection . They are playing with since last week please do not buy vehicle from them

Apperently it's normal for this company to take out 3 monthly payments within a week and a half. Their excuse was "well you agreed upon auto draft" so they think they can take out as much money as they want whenever they want. This is extreamly unprofessional and I have never seen a buisness do this even with auto draft.

The owner of the company is a liar and a cheat. Do not believe him when he says he fixed a car or truck before you bought it. Check the BBB website and do0 your homework for sure with this one. I quickly found out the hard way that they practice dirty tactics to get your money and you will end up with a think of junk.

Please be careful guys. I put a deposit on a truck and came to pick it up 4 days later. They sold the truck to someone else because he paid more money before I got there. Never mind that I had documentation via email and text message that it was my truck. They refunded my deposit, but refused to pay for my 8 hr trip.

The process after going to so many dealerships since March 21st was fast, efficient, courteous, and very helpful. The sales team were professional and polite. The entire process was done smoothly and my son is so pleased with his choice. I would recommend this company to any friend or family even a grandparent.

Mark we have two completely different business plans. You sell broke down ragged out trucks, I sell well maintained lightly used trucks. All of these 5-star reviews are because of ME (Cory). The owner is refusing to pay me $5,000+ in commission money because I went off and started my own car lot.

There is a few choice words I like to say about this place. No warrantys most of the trucks have band aides just enough to get them threw a month after a sale so the liability doesnt fall back on them the free oil change is so that they can retrieve the gps that they dont tell customers about

They are thrifts they repossessed vehicle before lender ever sent repossession letter.then if you own your own business they will hold your belongings so fare for four days and now I can't make a living for my family. They's guys are crooks point blank dissable a family man that was working

We are a business and recently Austin Auto Traders bought a part from us with a bad check. The checked bounced and Mr. Louie kept the part and basically stole my money. Please dont do business with this location. I am currently pursuing legal action against this place.

Had to file a complaint with TXDOT to get a title from them 2.5 months after purchase. They gave me temp tags and never filed with the DMV. Lady at the dealer looked into it and told me "oh yea, yours is next in line".
