Recently rolled my ankle and had my partner try to pick up a parcel for me. Was told over the phone that even with a signed collection card AND both our ID's, it is store policy to refuse anyone to pick the parcel up unless they ALSO have proof of address. (btw, these are the only options presented for collection on the AusPost website, so go figure.) So basically, if you live alone and are physically unable to pick up a missed parcel, you have no other options other than having it returned to sender. What is that 'agent collection' section on the back of the collection card even good for then? However - forget that. Let's just say I'm wrong on the above matter, since I can't dictate store policy and instead focus on the horrible customer service here. The lady on the phone was extremely rude - talking over me, asking if I'm done speaking yet and making comments on how upset I am. Said there are no other options for me, even in the example that I was disabled and living alone (rofl). I don't even think she heard what I was asking, as she was speaking over me, followed by - what I can only assume to be - silent periods of frustration at my 'stupidity'. It was a 2 minute call, come on. In the end - after 30 minutes of my partner walking back and forth - she let my partner pick up the parcel 'against store policy', since I was 'so upset'. I mean I guess I am upset enough to write a google review on this, so good call, but perhaps you need to work on your empathy and legitimising customer concerns. Considering moving suburbs so I never have to deal with this post office again. #triggered lmao EDIT: After contacting Australia Post, I've been informed that this kind of 'individual store policy' is not allowed. I've been told that the information on the website is meant to be true for each and every single Australia Post store. If anyone else is having the same issues, please stand your ground or message Australia Post to inform the regional manager of the store about the misconduct. It now seems like the younger staff of the store are trying to punish their customers for being bothersome or 'drainers', when really they should just literally be doing their job and nothing more.

This news agency is a family owned business. The owners (parents) are so rude . I received a message from Aus Poston my phone advising that I can pick up my Parcel at 167 Lygon Street. So I went there and showed the woman behind the counter the message I received on my phone. She started yelling and advised me to come back later. There was a gentleman from Aus Post who I believe was the delivery man who then asked me my address, I told him my address and the lady behind the counter yelled at him and told him not to touch the parcels because they have now been assigned to her. I didn't want to argue with this grumpy woman so I left. It doesn't cost anything to be nice or courteous The daughters on the other hand are quite respectable and lovely to deal with. If I had an option to pick up my parcels elsewhere I would, unfortunately since this is the closest post office I don't have a choice to go there. I always hold my breathe hoping the daughters would be there. I hope these parents can find it in their hearts to be courteous.

INCREDULOUS. I am in shock. Just been treated in the RUDEST most ignorant of manners by one of the staff here. I telephoned to confirm a parcel of mine was there, as I had received a card in the post. I called out the tracking number on the label, above the barcode - the ONLY number on the card - and the woman barked that it was wrong and to give her the tracking number. I repeated that it was the only number, it was above the barcode, it is the legitimate barcode and again she barked at me "WRONG Can't you come in?" - I tried to explain I work in Geelong so have to plan to make my trip to this post office so I needed to verify the parcel would be there and that *again* it was the tracking number I called out! I was incredulous as to how rude she was and told her I was a customer who deserved more respect but she SPOKE OVER ME AND HUNG UP! Truly a disgusting human being. Avoid this post office or be prepared to face ignorance and rudeness on another level.

Can't stand this place - have had enough of it after multiple bad experiences. The last being a flat out refusal to take passport photos for my kids and I, despite advertising the service. The woman at the desk actually said she 'didn't have time' - presumably because there were three people standing behind me. She was incredibly rude and dismissive didn't ask if we could wait a few minutes or offer another time just basically said no. It's not the first time they've treated me like that in there... last time I had a photo taken for an I.D. I simply asked to see the photo before the guy there printed it and he flat out refused. Australia Post should be ashamed of associating their name with this outlet but I guess that's what you get for privatisation isn't it. A lack of quality control.

If there was 0 star I would definitely give 0. The lady couldn’t find my parcel in the beginning. She asked me to wait for a few minutes so she could serve other customers first. It was understandable. So I glanced at the parcel storage room to try to look for it myself (and there were parcels at the public walk way but I didn’t touch anything). She yelled at me “Don’t do that. Or I’ll get into trouble.” And angrily shut the door. The second time she looked for the parcel, I just stood behind her and waited. She yelled at me to stay away from her. I never expected such as bad and rude customer service and will not come back again unless really need to. Also hope my parcel will be delivered to another post office next time.

I'm glad to see the rating for this branch is so low, they certainly deserve it. Such poor customer service. No matter how many times I try and provide all the relevant documentation and necessary information I can't seem to collect my mail without going home to get additional irrelevant unnecessary items (more ID, bank card, medicare details etc.). I have filled out collection forms (Aus Post ones) for someone else to collect on behalf, we've been told it's not possible unless that person has my ID card. How is that even logical. They act like they own your mail. The women behind the counter loves a bit of confrontation. Sad that it's my local and I have to go there to collect mail. Rating: 0

A couple of times now I have gone to this post office around 4pm-5pm on a Saturaday and it is closed, a message here so others do not do the same on a Saturday. It says here on google maps and online including the Australian Post website that it is open until 6pm Saturday as of April-May 2022 at the moment. It is closed before this time ... the times on here are incorrect and are not updated, as with most low rated businesses make sure the opening times are correct and do not believe the opening times you see here on google maps or other places online. This is still happening as of 12th of November, 2022. Here are the opening hours attached as a photo from their front door from this date.

Laughably bad at the basics of postal service. Gave one of my parcels to someone else with the same last name and then asked me to go to a random stranger's house to collect it. Called me the same week to say I had another parcel, when I went into collect it, they said they didn't have anything. Found out I'd been sent a gift and it had been sitting there the whole time, so had to go back and ask again until they managed to find it. My parcels are usually sent to Sumner LPO and I always get efficient, friendly service there. But I know I'm in for a bad time when I see Brunswick East LPO on my collection card

Shocking service. First they told me my parcel wasn't there after the lady (co-owner I think) gave a cursory glance at their unorganized pile of parcels then rushed back to serving paying customers. Then when my wife went in a few days later to get the same parcel they told her they won't look for it because they were too busy! in fact they actually spoke angrily to my wife with 'can't you see we are busy come back later!' Then they went back to serving paying customers right in front of her while she stood there shocked by the rudeness. Unbelievable that they actually run a business like this!

The best service, fast and efficient, EDIT: Unfortunately... Not any more based on my last experience ☺️ Reduced from 5* to 1* I received a thin cardboard sample in an a4 size envelope, The Suplier packed it properly trying to protect it with an extra hard supporting cardboard so it didn’t bend much, These people must have tried really hard and probably stepped on it so it folded enough to fit in one of the smallest PO BOXES! In the past I have received other packages that were too large to go in the PO BOX and they have been kept outside! This time it was a different thing all together

One star too many.. We should have the option of zero stars for operators that dont give a flying flute for customers nor the reputation of auspost. They took over from one of the most kind and helpful family owners and they tank it. The old miserable woman is simply..horrible to say the least. The girls are trying...some times I 've been living in the hood for almost 20 years and i have to say this business is by far the worst! So.. customer service zero. urgency zero. Why isn’t there a rating for 0? HORRIBLE customer service. Went to pick up a parcel that was delivered in my partners name who doesn’t live at the delivery address. The lady couldn’t find the parcel (because it wasn’t under my name) and then yelled at me asking why it’s not in my name and “why did I show her my ID”. Whose ID was I meant to show her? She kept interrupting me when I tried to explain I was picking the parcel up for my partner. Extremely rude. Do NOT come here if you don’t need to.

Extremely rude service. I waited patiently in line to have a document verified, only to be told by the woman that I "would have to wait until it was less busy". I waited until there was no-one left in the store, and then was told by the man that I would have to wait until the woman returned. Avoid at all costs, the staff have no time for you unless you're buying something. If you're going to treat your free service as a second class, you should advertise that. As if I have nothing to do.

Very hit and miss. If you get them on a good day then they'll be very helpful. Most of the time, however, they make it seem like you're hassling them to simply pick up your packages. I'll never forget the time they told me to come back the next day because they couldn't be bothered looking for my package. I think they're improving, but I still dread getting a delivery card that says my package has been dropped off here instead of one of the other nearby collection points.

If I could give a 0 I would. The man refused to look for my parcel, I'd lost the card and he wouldn't even look at my name or address. I've never had any packages sent there before. In all other times, post office staff are happy to use my name or address to find the package, as they are organized. This place seems extremely disorganized so he probably wouldn't be able to find my package with my name or address. Terribly rude and made a simple trip super inconvenient.

When the staff harass you for coming in the day after you forgot you ID to collect a parcel, then proceed to yell at you about how rude you are for asking if you can just be done with the rude exchange you are having with them and leave. I will definitely be choosing to have my uniforms sent o my home instead of work from now on. Always friendly and helpful. I find people with poor reviews are probably not being kind or empathetic in their interactions. I always smile, ask them how they are going, don’t tell them how to do their jobs or get up in their space and try and rifle through (other people’s) mail myself. Try some patience and understanding. And support them if you can/want to. Buy a drink, magazine or top up your myki. They are a post office outlet, but they are also a newsagent!

Owners were super super helpful - didn't have the right size of rigid mailer for an LP I was posting so gave me cardboard from out the back to protect it inside a cheaper satchel. Really impressed, most LPOs would just charge you through the nose for a roll of bubble wrap way bigger than you'd ever need. It's a busy Saturday morning near Christmas and they still took the time to help me out. 10/10

The terrible reviews are for a reason, if you have an option try to go to the other PO down the road (its rating speaks for itself). The younger woman who works there is alright to deal with but the man is utterly horrible and hostile. It's at the point that I dread deliveries in case it is sent there. They also send parcels home after 7 days (not even working days) with no attempt at redelivery.

It's okay but I expect all Aus post places to have wheelchair access as it is such a big company, this place doesn't have ramp access, they do however have the room to replace the step leading into the door to be a ramp instead of a step. And this I imagine would also help postman, parents of young kids/babies and those with mobility challenges. Please be more inclusive.

I went there to pick up a parcel and the man at the desk was remarkably rude to me. I don't know if it was because he doesn't speak English well or is just a generally unpleasant person, but I was very unhappy with the way he raised his voice at me and cut me off when I tried to tell him something to help him locate my parcel (which he was struggling to find).

Terrible service. Went in the other day to pick up a package. Stood at the counter while the lady vaccumed she could clearly see me and just kept doing so I told her I was here to pick up and package and she just continued to vacuum had to wait 3-4 minutes before she even tried to serve me just kept vacuuming. Nobody else was in the store

Staff at this PO went over-&-above to find a missing parcel for me. Despite me not being a regular customer here, they spent considerable time and effort to locate it (the sender had got just about everything totally wrong). They were calm and friendly, and persisted where others would have given up. I am most grateful to them!

This is my new post office after having recently moved to the area, and the staff here are so nice and helpful. The kind of people that will work with you to get something done or resolve an issue. Quite shocked to read some of the reviews of this place. I’ve been going here for over 7 years and have never had any problem with any of the staff. Lovely, family-owned business. Reading some of these 1 star reviews gives the impression that they’re coming from people who aren’t that great to deal with as customers…

The owner is one of the most arrogant and abusive people I’ve met. He belittled his female staff members in front of customers & was straight up verbally abusive towards me. Many packages are unsecured and are stored in public walkway, I wouldn’t be surprised if packages go missing regularly.

I went to return Post Office box keys to an interstate box. They refused to take the keys to send in the internal mail. Australia Post Customer Care have just advised me that an PO outlet should be able to take the keys. Not offering all the services that they are supposed to offer.

Like others, I don’t understand the number of negative reviews for this place. I have been going there for the past 6 months several times a week and the staff are always lovely. In particular, the younger woman (I think the owners’ daughter) is very friendly.

Absolute disaster service. This is the worst post office I have experienced. Missed delivery card says small parcel. When we get there it is huge and we need a car and they wouldn't hold it longer even though they are obliged to hold for ten business days.

The man has no customer skills, not friendly and rude. Even though he sees you every day he still won't give your parcel without ID. When he gets the ID he doesbt even look at it or cant read it. If it wasn't for my parcel pick ups i would not to there.

This place isn't only horribly slow and inefficient at getting my.parcels, they don't even open when they say they're going to open. Closed on Saturday when advertised as open. You can't accept an LPO license and do this. Useless, time wasting rabble.
