Usually I have really good experience with this post office. The staff are always friendly and helpful. There was one older lady who was very patient and very friendly when she was helping me send off a parcel overseas. I can’t remember her name, but she was a pleasure to talk to and had great customer service. Then yesterday, I had a not so nice experience. A short younger lady with brunette hair and glasses served me. I said I need to send something overseas, and she stared at me blankly and not saying a word. I felt uncomfortable, so I repeated myself and said I need to send something overseas. Then she then finally spoke and said I need to scan a QR code to sort out the customs form myself. Which I was surprised, as the previous people that helped me never had ask me to do it myself. Then she told me to weigh my items myself, which was odd as they usually weigh it for you when they help send the items off. So I tried to fill out the form, I then asked her for help how to fill out the address part, as every country has a different way of writing their address. She then was rude and dumb it down for me… it made me feel stupid. I asked her another question with the form and she was still rude. Then the site began to crash and I couldn’t use the site to fill out the form. Then she handed me a form and told me to fill it on myself. I was so shocked with her attitude. I told her that the previous ladies here was helpful with helping me send things off.. I don’t often send things overseas unless I sell something online. The whole experience was very off putting and it has really made me feel unhappy that I got served in such a bad manner. Saddest part of all, it wasn’t even busy… I was the only person there and the process would have been faster if she would have just helped. Instead, she was just standing there. She really needs to work on her customer service and needs learn to be more polite.
I went in today to post a parcel for my niece's birthday. It was about 10 minutes after they had opened. I come around the corner with my pram, and I didn't see the staff member there. Anyway, I didn't run into her or anything, but she seemed annoyed by my presence. She just stood there looking at me. I said sorry, but I need to get a bag for my gift. (I couldn't go any other way as people were lining up) She said that she needs to put stuff out the front. That was fine, I wasn't worried about that so I stood to the side. What did bother me was when she pointed at me and said in a huffy voice, "Stand there. You'll just have to wait" I am more than happy to wait but I am not happy about being spoken to like a dog. Great customer service hey? I ended up saying that I won't bother and I walked off. I heard her say something when I walked away but didn't bother stopping . If you don't know how to talk to people properly, perhaps you should get another job. I won't go to that post office again. Would rather drive further to be spoken to like a human.
Horrible service , they didn’t accept a parcel because the shop was closing in 5 mins. I was in the queue and no one taking my order because they were too busy closing the shop BEFORE time. I understand they want to go home… but the opening hours should then change… and the manager should then get things organised in a different way if the employees are in a rush to leave. If I would have known they close before 12.30 i woulnot have shown up. The cashier, pretty upset that customers show up at 12.20 when the shop closes at 12.30. Whatever is happening behind the counter at this post office would have to reviewed.. in the meantime i am not coming back here where the cashiers have a attitude and poor customer service. Training and improvement programs should be provided to them. Toady is sat 11th setp.
I'm a small business owner and I go there everyday to post parcels. Today a lady served me and I asked her to register 3 of the parcels, she charges me and I said to her I need to know which post code with the tracking numbers as the customers need their tracking numbers. She says to me that's up to do that, how the hell can I do that when she has the tracking numbers and I don't know who's number is who's. I have posted parcels for years and this is the first time a staff member hasn't put the postcode on the number, it will be the last time I lodged my parcels at cannonhill. Then on 13 th April I posted a parcel there and it scanned there and my customer never received their parcel, it's under investigation.
Why does this shop not have a self serve kiosk? The staff do the very best they can here, I cannot fault their service but what can they do? Clearly the demand is high here, often the line is clear out the door! A self serve machine would ease the load incredibly. Australia Post shops on the whole offer sub standard services because they have a monopoly. But that won't always be the case. A little effort to keep your customers happy now creates customer loyalty at a time in the future when Australia Post will really need it. Get a self service machine pronto guys. I see people leaving the line in frustration all the time!
The old lady who called Sue said to me my passport, driver license and my face are totally different because I didn’t wear makeup yesterday. Even other colleagues said it’s same person but she didn’t approve my photo, I’ve past airport security without makeup so many times though. (I think the problem is that I am Asian) Today, there were 2 long queue without sign but lady was just saying that’s not this line back to the other queue. She made customers unhappy but seemed doesn’t care at all. I brought right documents that they told me to bring but she just said I won’t do that way then let me go away. Staff are so rude!!!
Wouldn’t trust them posting a box of fresh air, Absolutely useless posted a parcel with the receivers address on obviously. Had a card through the door a few days later, stating I need to pick up a parcel went into the store the staff had cut the address off and tried denying it, couldn’t have been anyone else it hadn’t even left the shop something dodgy going on in that place. They tried their very best to hide all the cut Tape etc on top when I approached the woman she started to stutter ahh it wasn’t me, guilt written all over your face, Merry Christmas to the grinches daughter who works at Cannon Hill au post.
I'd lodged an online enquiry to have a parcel transferred from Cannon Hill Post Office, to another post office. Three weeks later, a lady from this post office called asking if I was going to come and collect my parcel... I explained I was still waiting for someone from AusPost to reply to my online redirection enquiry - to which she replied "I get all of those and I've seen no such request!". Wow. Please tone down the sass (it's request ID 41960198 if you don't believe me).
Giving one star for one person only. Posted a CARD only to New Zealand yet was charged as a small parcel. The standard sized card is made with a little pop up, meaning it had an extra half centimetre in thickness with essentially no extra weight yet the lady charged me $8.50. I posted the exact same card to the exact same country albeit at the metro Carindale post office the previous week and was charged as a card, $2.60. Incredibly unhappy!
Refused to take passport photos because the store was too busy. Person serving us suggested going to a professional photo service. Don't offer the service without a booking time if you aren't going to take the photos because the store is too busy. The lady on the next counter over had just taken three passport photos for a family.
Went there yesterday and the Australian girl was an excellent help as she had to spend over an hour to get my Australia post card sorted out and im really grateful that she had the patience to persevere until she had me sorted out , I don't remember her name but thank you very much for your assistance I really appreciated it.
Unhelpful staff, bluntly lied to me that the package was damaged because it was not packed properly. I asked them if the box was half missing how did they accept it. When caught .... Keep insisted on the con note etc.... The lady on counter was least interested in helping. Called up customer care and got sorted in 2 minutes.
Staff are rude and arrogant and difficult to deal with. They seem to make up new rules every time I visit and make it very difficult to pick up or deliver parcels. Would never recommend using this post office. I'd rather drive an hour to another post office than use cannon hill
Congratulations Zoe who served me today. I am a small business owner and had quite a lot to lodge domestic and international post, registered post and more. Zoe remained friendly , helpful and nothing was too much trouble. You are such a credit to the store Zoe. Thank you.
Very rude lady at the counter. It was busy and a long queue and i think she was trying to get through the queue quicker. But being rude and rushing customers isn’t going to be good for anyone. Not going back to this post office for sure
Kathryn was helping us with passport renewal. The service was amazing Kathryn definitely deserves 5 star rating.Must say that Australia Post is lucky to have such a employee, she is such a treasure. Thank you Kathryn …
The staff here have been so sweet to me, at closing time, they helped me with an international package which I have never done before. They were so nice about me being completely dumb about it.
My parcel was delivered to them deemed too heavy then they redirected to the next suburb over now a 4 day wait poor customer service bad attitudes and long lines avoid if you can
Worst customer service, attendants do not like working there. I loathe when I have to pick up a parcel from here. I'm pretty resilient but this place always makes my day worse.
Always fantastic friendly service from the young lady who works in the Cannon Hill Post office. Pleasant experience here vs. the rubbish customer service at Morningside LPO
Was very pleased to have been served by Tracey. She was knowledgeable and accommodating. For a stressful process of passports she made it seem too easy. Thanks Tracy!!!
I always get friendly and helpful service. The staff do the best they can to manage the large volume of customers who come through, particularly on Saturdays.
Very very slow, I try go when they first open or not at all. I was 6th in line .... took 20 mins to get to the front. Usually always a line there.
Pretty much always a line but the staff and friendly and helpful. Had passport photos done here and also lodged my passport application here
Hmmm 5:09pm...Says it closes at 5:30 but its already shut. Either someone can’t tell the time or their internet hours need to be updated!
Staff are super unfriendly and the experience was uncomfortable. I could have a more pleasant conversation with a loaf of bread.
Rude staff. So disappointed that we have no other choice because this is the national postal service … nothing to be done.
Disengaged and unfriendly staff. They embody the demise of customer service and the benefits of online services.
Monique on early parcel collect is extremely rude, unhelpful & argumentative. This is extremely poor service
Staff friendly but there is always a super long queue, often waiting 15-20 mins just to pick up a parcel.
Amazing. A woman named Marisa couldn't have been more helpful in helping me mail a document over seas.
Had a lovely lady help us with postage options this morning. Great customer service. Thank you :)
The young man in this shop is very racist and disrespectful, rude to me …
I don’t like the staff’s attitude. Especially the one with yellow hair and red lipstick.
Really rude Asian lady with glasses on the front counter will never come back. Rude !!!!
Good service, friendly staff who are willing to help and advise you on any issues.
The slowest post office. Long queues out the door and over 30 mins to get served.
Lovely helpful staff. A very busy post office so lines can get quite long.
Poor customer service, the lady behind the desk didn't want to be there!
Very pleasant experience. Friendly and polite staff.
Friendly helpfully staff, quick service.
Shop doors closed before closing time
