Arrived 11:55am to get a same day Keypass. I live rurally and drove 2 hours through roadworks and on the freeway so arrived later than I had anticipated. I didn’t get served until 12:08. Middle aged Indian woman on the desk said no I did not arrive on time and that I would not be able to receive one on the same day since it was now past 12:00. I told her that I needed it tomorrow for exam identification since my Ps license had expired and I was waiting on my full license in the post so I haven’t got any current valid ID. She said that the man who collects the forms has already come through - but if he was in the store at 12:00 how did I not see him? How did the women at the desk not call out to the line to check if there were any last minute forms? I’ve already lodged a formal complaint with Aus Post Retail at 12:12pm. Seriously the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced from any Aus Post outlet.

The man that works there that is apparently the manager is rude, condescending and queries things that are none of his damn business. I had to get ID verification for a property purchase and he thought it his business as to whether they would accept my signature or not. Then when I needed documents sent express he tells me I have to pay for it. Well freakin' deerrrrrr!!! Moron. I even had a customer approach me after to comment on his rudeness and said he is to everyone. Sure enough when I returned to work most the other staff reported crappy experiences with him also. If you want rude service by a stupid man, go here. I personally will be going elsewhere.

I wish I could just write a review for the whole company and not just the Footscray branch. But since the problems started with this location, there is no other choice. Express delivery is a joke and and open robbery. Australia Post still excuses its ineptitude with the pandemic saying they cannot guarantee next day deliveries whilst still selling the service as next-day-delivery. Staff should be advise to not sell it as next-day-delivery or at least add to that "without guarantee". Spite delivering outside of the timeframes, still no refund or genuine care for affecting the costumers who relied on their service.

Only open during business hours, so if a parcel gets taken there it's essentially gone unless you don't work 9-5 Monday to Friday. People online shop because they can't go to a store during business hours! Then they have the gall to ask you to pay to transfer it to another post office. Particularly frustrating as the last two times the postie has said 'no safe place' when there is one. Unsure how they are allowed to only operate this service during business hours, completely defeating the point of the Aus Post business model these days (package handling).

Every one of the staff at this store are lovely and happy or even tolerant of having to do their job, except one man whom I gather from the other reviews is Bill. It’s gotten to the point where he doesn’t even speak to my partner and I when we come in, and last time my partner went in Bill swore at my partner for sending packages. The managers response to this was to tell my partner not to speak to Bill anymore, rather than telling Bill not to swear at customers. Don’t work at a post office if you don’t wanna do postal duties, seems pretty simple to me

Jivanka/Jojo from Footscray AusPost is an angel!!! She was so helpful to me today when I needed to send a parcel to a friend in America. She didn't have to go to the lengths that she did to assist me with finding the best delivery option/parcel box. I was in the post office for about an hour during the lunch rush and she made my stressful experience so much easier. Thank you Jojo for making my day. I am often taken aback when people are so nice because it can be rare. You are a kind soul and I wish you the best with everything you endeavour to do!

Avoid taking passport photos here. They took passport photos for me on the 19/09/23 and it was rejected by the department of home affairs citing the width issue. I phoned their service line and presented my receipt and my letter of rejection. They promised me that a refund is possible but the outlet refuses to do the refund. Save your $22 and go to Officeworks for your passport photos for $17. The staff at Officeworks take better photos and have better lighting in the store and the photos can be actually approved!

On 26/10. One of the manager didn’t allow me to get my parcel with all of my details on it because i did put my friend’s address on it with a very rude and unprofessional behaviour, even laugh at my face and say some tricky things such as i won’t let you take it because she doesn’t believe me and that’s the way you treat customers from a big company? I am wondering what’s gonna happened with my things and money? Such an unprofessional employee! Hope that there’s no start option for writing a review!

Some of the staff are nice, however for the love of all things merciful this place needs to learn some professionalism. Went there on the Saturday Easter weekend (not a public holiday and the store is open Saturdays) after checking the website (not closure announced) at 930 (store opens at 9) only to find a group of 10 disgruntled customers waiting for a store that had decided not to open. If this was a business that I could avoid, I would.

Delivery has marked parcel as “ Attempted delivery” multiple times while I have purposefully waited around at home for parcel to arrive and kept close to the door bell to not miss out. The delivery driver would not ring mark incorrectly which leaves me to have to collect on a weekday during work hours. This is ridiculous by whoever the delivery driver is and should be questioned if they are even doing there job.

I fail to understand why this place is shut over the weekend - having to leave during my work hours to pickup a parcel seems a bit unthoughtful to those who work 9-5. To add to the inconvenience, They usually seem understaffed during lunch hours - undoubtedly when everyone working a 9-5 is able to use their lunch break to collect a parcel. Would love for the opening hours here to be re-considered.

The guy who I presume is call bill (as there are a few more reviews about him) is really rude. I’ve seen him be rude to multiple people over the months. I’m not sure what’s going on with him but it’s free to be kind even if people are asking for things which aren’t possible. Someone have a word with bill and let him know that if he can’t be nice maybe a job in customer service is not for him!

People here are always sassy and the actual delivery service is awful. The delivery people have twice in a row now left a delivery card in my mail box for "missed parcel" when my FRONT DOOR has been open (and not bothered to knock or call out to find the person who is OBVIOUSLY HOME). Just infuriating and a massive waste of time. If I could use ANY other service I would.

There's a bloke behind the counter called Bill who I'm sure can sell stamps very well but has a sort of learned helplessness when it comes to actually helping people. The other staff seem very good. If you're there for anything complicated, like a passport application, and Bill calls out "next please", let someone else go in front of you. You'll have a better time.

Received 6 parcels over the past couple months, every single parcel the first time I went to collect it could not be found in there wearhouse. They are closed saturdays and Sundays which is silly for people that work full time and can’t collect parcels during the week. Everytime I go in the service is just not on point it’s like they just don’t want to be working

Can't speak for the Monday - Friday work but the Saturday 9:00 - 12:30 times, having only two people in store when it's the main post office for ages is ridiculous. Waiting 30+ minutes to pick up a package and walk in, having the line to the door. They need to hire more people, absolutely ridiculous. Service was quick and fine but I mean come on.

The lady who served me to get the parcel was rude, for no apparent reason. She was also treating the two other people served before me in the same way, seeing those two people unable to express themselves properly due to limited english was a sad sight. It was uncomfortable just being there, staff need to be more kind and understanding.

It's regrettable that Australia Post has the gall to drop anything to this location rather than the closest post office to me (West Footscray) when it is no longer open on Saturday mornings. Too bad if you work business hours. This store is persistently short staffed, with lengthy queues, just what you need in a COVID environment.

I came for proof of age card from 528 Barkley st they said they can’t do it they will do it in 182 Barkley st and the people here said they can’t do it to and they are sujestingsome other place and they don’t know customer service very rude people and taking very long time. terrible customer service, rude people. I was told that my passport photo, which was taken days previous at the post office, was unusable. The woman said it looked “scary” and demanded I take a new one. Today I went and the man who served me was very rude, had 0 customer service skills and seemed to throw my parcels carelessly.

Main issue is that they don't have Saturday open times. Meaning anyone in Footscray who does not work in the area cannot pick up parcels. There are 5 other post offices in the area that are open on Saturdays but you can't control where you mail is dispatched too. They really need to sort this out its such an obvious one.

Staff were friendly, efficient and helpful, I arrived around 12:15pm and there was quite a queue, to be expected when they close at 12:30pm on Saturday. Good selection of gifts, cards and a ‘welcome to the neighbourhood service’ on offer. I collected my parcel and bought a few knick knacks, total time in store 10mins.

In my experience, up until recently the staff looked miserable. For the most part I've not had a bad experience, the service was just depressing and apathetic. Like they were doing you a reluctant favour rather than it being their job. The new additions to the team seem give me some hope in this post offices PI.

My mail always gets sent here when I'm not home, but can never find a good time to pick up as they only open mon-fri 9-5! And not open on weekends! Completely useless for the working class working standard business hours. If you can't change your opening hours at least offer a parcel locker service!

Moving to Footscray was a mistake. If I had of know this useless post office was closed on a Saturday I wouldn’t have moved here. It’s ridiculous for people working 9-5 m-f which is most. I complain and they just don’t care. Dreadful I have to take time off just to pick up parcels

Shame on you Australia Post. I was having breakfast in my kitchen this morning when I received a text message from you, saying your delivery guy “missed” me and left a card at my door. I didn’t hear a door bell the whole time! Lazy delivery guy didn’t even care to knock the door!

We went here for Keypass ID, everything was smooth and quick. If you go there by 12 noon you will be able to pick up your ID in the afternoon the next day. If you go earlier around 10AM, ID will be ready on the same day at 4 to 4:30PM. Thanks to the indian lady who assisted us.

For no indication,they are now closed on Saturday. I sent a representative to collect a parcel during the week, and they claimed they couldn't find it. You have ONE job. Yet another failure in a long list of failures with Australia Post. The worst postal service in the world.

I Received message saying that my parcel would be arrived yesterday. I was at home and waiting for it. It never came and I checked tracking history and it said " attempted delivery - no one in attendance at 7pm yesterday". No one called me or rang the bell. Pls explain why !

Again and again, Australia Post fakes the "attempted delivery" and forces me to pick up. Faking the delivery at 4pm on Friday means I can only collect the parcel no earlier than Monday. And there is one man in this shop who is always not pleasant to deal with.

Bill is a very rude employee. Definitely needs to learn some manners and to respect customers. Very surprised he hasn't been fired due to unfriendly behaviour. All the other workers seemed ok. I pity that they have to work with such a negative low vibrational man.

They never follow delivery instructions and are only open 9-5 on weekdays so people who work regular jobs are unable to pick their parcels up. The workers are nice, but their get od work is ruined by the horrible opening hours and their delivery teams

A bit useless. My express post parcel was mis sorted and sent to footscray. But instead of just sending it the 2km up Barkly St or at least carding it, they sent it all the way back to Melbourne airport and put my parcel back onto an infinite loop.

My previous review from early 2018 slammed the consistenly poor level of service here but the last four times I’ve been in have been a delight. Employees have been friendly, helpful and approachable. There has been work done here and it shows.

Older man with brown hair that works here is often the least helpful person I've ever spoken to. He's an absolutly miserable specimen that makes sure to get your parcel lost in the mail. If you're ever here make sure to pass on his service.

This outlet is normally not too busy and you even if there is a queue you get seen relatively quickly. The auto tellers where you can do simple transactions yourself are great and the parcel collect service is amazing for apartment dwellers

I live in footscray..and quite often go to Seddon po..as they are usually friendly enough there..usually dont go to Footscray po as its usually a very Rude experience...not sure why most staff there have such a Nasty attitude..

Service is ok enough, but come on! The hours are a joke! At least open for a few hours on a Saturday! I work Monday to Friday 9-5 how am I supposed to pick up my parcels without leaving work early which I always have to!!!

No staffs approached or reminded customers who had no mask and chinned mask while inside the venue on 8th of September around 4.15pm to 4.40pm. This issue must be taken seriously by staffs to stop the spread in the future.

Poor customer service. Was only inquiring to letters vs parcels and didn’t appreciate the attitude in her replies. Looking forward to the full automation of this post office so that she can be made redundant.

Awful staff, rude not helpful, grumpy and full of bad attitude, I visit the shop today and a friend already warned me about its terrible stuff, but the reality was much worse than I could imagine.

Staff are friendly, but the store is functionally useless now that they no longer open on Saturdays/past 5pm. I need to now avoid shops that use AusPost for deliveries, as I can't pick orders up.

All the staff are friendly and helpful. There are sometimes queues if you go at busy times, but they're never too long.
