My recent visit to this office left me extremely frustrated. I came to submit my passport documents and encountered a male staff member who appeared completely uninformed and wasted my time. I explained that my original birth certificate, obtained from the government official website and digitally authenticated, should be legally valid. However, he insisted on only accepting manually stamped paper copies. What the hack is going on??? It's baffling that in the 21st century, digital certificates aren't recognised.!! Even more surprising was his lack of knowledge regarding the officially accredited Digital NAATI translation recognised by the Australian government. It felt like he was stuck in the 1960s without receiving any modern authentication technology. This office desperately needs staff education and training. I had the exact same documents accepted without any hassle at another post office on the same day. It's paradoxical that my online authenticated certificate was accepted for permanent residency and citizenship applications. Is there a disconnect in standards within the Australian Foreign Affairs system? This experience made no sense and highlights a need for improved customer service. Shame on you guys!! *Latest update* I already got my passport with the same docs you refused to accept. Gain more training if you are not updated for your valued customers please!!!
I was applying a first passport for my daughter before Christmas. I got my own photo printer at home. We decided to print photo by ourselves. We read carefully for all requirements for a passport photo. When we brought the photo to the glen post. A lady at her 40’s (seems that only senior staff could assist in passport application). She told me the photo sizes were wrong. We need to retake the photo by the post and pay for it. I measured every sizes according to the passport office guidelines before this application. I explained to the lady. She was rude. She said that if I insisted to use my own photo, she would write a note to the passport office to tell her opinions. We need the passport in urgent. We have to pay for photo retaking. The lady affixed the new photo underneath my photo.When we received the new passport. The passport office used the photo we provided! I am not sure if this was because the postoffice didn’t update the new guidelines for new version passport photo? But what we really don’t like is the attitude.
We visited The Glen store and looked to buy a waterproof registered envelope for posting a passport. A staff got me a cardboard envelope. When my wife returned to confirm the waterproofness of the envelope, a young female staff served my wife, she looked like a new but performed very impatient and scornful of my wife. Then we visited another post office at Forest Hill shopping centre, the staff there was really friendly and recommended the right product. Will not visit The Glen post office again. Very disappointed with their service, unprofessional and not friendly to non-native English speaking customers.
Very ageist post office - do not use unless you have absolutely no option. I am an older woman and went to pick up a parcel. I took my id and from my passport the staff could see it was me and my name matched BUT I was unable to match my signature using my finger to sign on the screen, the staff humiliated me. I asked for a pen to write my signature on the packet but she just wanted to point out that I couldn’t match it on the screen. They really do not like older people here. Dreadful service . They should remember that one day they will be old an treat all customers with respect.
Australia Post - The Glen Visit on 21/10/2022 It is a very pleasant visit to this modern, bright and clean post office. Besides providing normal postage services, it also handles bill payments and takes photos for passport and verification of identity. Like many modern post offices, it sells stationery, cards, books, small electronic accessories, and small electrical domestic appliances. Best of all, the staff are very friendly, and I compliment then for for their fantastic customer service whic, if possible, I would score them higher than 5 stars.
Very disappointing service and rude staff. Tracy was entirely unhelpful when asked a question politely. I completely understand that employees are under stress and busy during COVID, but as someone working as an essential worker too, I know how easy it is to give someone a smile or respond nicely (at the bare minimum.) The employee rolled her eyes and seemed extremely annoyed during the interaction. If you are unable to be helpful, kind or show some empathy, perhaps customer service is not the best pathway.
I have been visiting this store for more than one year, and I have never posted any negative reviews on google. Most staff are friendly except for one lady at the counter who always speaks quite loud. She served me a couple of times, and she was being unprofessional and rude. She made me feel disrespectful, awkward and shameful. When I was queuing up in line, I always hoped that I would be attended to by other staff than her. I’m not sure if she treats everyone the same or just towards me. I hope she’s not.
This shop is hopeless and the shop manager lies. The manager/owner lied as they did NOT take the responsibility and pay for the loss for the clients. My item was damaged when it arrived international with air post. I lodged a claim with Australia Post. Australia Post advised my item was not covered because my item was NOT Packed properly by myself, which was confirmed by the shop manager/owner . Actually the fact was that a staff (male) packed and wrapped my item because of COVID-19.
The store itself is terrific but I just had a bad telephone experience today speaking with one of the staff. I wanted to ask if they could try to call Syndal post office because I can't seem to get through to them. The lady I spoke with today was very rude and even asked me to walk to the post office to collect it as they can't keep it for me for longer than 10 days. At least, she could have told me politely....
I ususally goto Glen post office but had the worst experience last friday (Asian faced lady) when I was trying to get my working with children certified. Too bad. I wish i cud give u a 0 star. She said she cant take my medicare as a supporting document because it doesnt have my middle name in it! So as my bank card! Thankfully i was able to get it done so quickly at Pinewood post office. Worst experience ever.
The Chinese looking lady wearing glasses who worked on Saturday the 28th Sept 2019 at The Glen Austpost was so rude. She was yelling out the customers in the queue and it was like she is having personal issues with Asians. I have observed her when I was in another counter. Also she was treated people extremely bad and please kindly remove this lady. She should be definitely fired. Thks.
Wanted to say a big thank-you to Melissa and Corina who spent quite a bit of time assisting my blind client with her enquiry re free postage. A previous method of providing this free service has changed and Melissa investigated and followed up during a subsequent visit and refunded the cost of the Priority Postage. Both were kind and professional and it was greatly appreciated.
Amazingly helpful staff! Back again today to get my signature witnessed on some documents. Once again, helpful staff and friendly service, not just for me, but what I observed with others. What is it with some people giving bad reviews? Are you rude to the staff? Do you react adversely if they advise what you require is not available or has increased in price? I am bewildered!
Actually, I am not sure why "the older lady" is being so badly reviewed, I found her to be absolutely divine and helpful. I cannot understand for the life of me how that person could be labelled, she may be perfunctory but she is helpful, assertive and professional, I think she is absolutely divine. The lady on the counter today was really rude when I simply asked a question. Not sure why they don’t give training to their staff to be polite with their customers. She was agitated for no reason. Please train your staff to be polite and patient with their customers. Customer service is crucial part for the success of any business.
The person (a lady seemed to be in late 50s) who attended me was very disappointing , unprofessional and unhelpful. Terrible attitude with no sense of responsibility. She made a mistake but blamed her customer for the error. If you are expecting someting professinal services, you should to other post office not this place.

The stories is when I post the parcel from Melbourne to Hobart the officer told me it will be arrived next business day and when I check online it also says that. But I waiting for a month still not arrived, then called them and just saying waiting for other week, useless au post.
In my experience, this post office has a better standard of customer service than the other nearby post offices. Be it applying for a passport or sending an overseas parcel, they were patient with me even gave me suggestions on how to do it better (in other words: cheaper), which I appreciate.

Been there once,I just friendly asked how to pickup the package, the lady served me seemed annoyed and yelled at me “NO! YOU CANNOT PICKUP HERE!” without any explanation. That was HORRIBLE customer service, you really should learn how to treat customers! Really disappointed!!!
Just visited there at 4:35pm on 24/05/19 and as soon as I joined the line, Melissa immediately came up to me to assist me, and I was in and out in 1 minute. She was so friendly and attentive, and I really appreciate the efficiency and ease of service. Thanks so much, Melissa!

Literally stole my money through a bank hack scam. 3 unauthorised payments of $355.95 on July 28th 2023 they just processed out of nowhere after stealing my card details. I’d recommend notifying the police next time you wish to trade here. Pack of scammers.
I feel being discriminated by an old lady staff (Asian face). she is impolite and being picky. My friend experienced a bad service from her before as well. I do not know why she can still work there after a lot bad reviews on her. Ridiculous!!!
First day know that express international post needs to put destination address in ENGLISH!! Only country in EN is doable in other post shop!!! ? Macao’s address is in Portuguese, and Chinese, where I m gonna translate to English!
