Had a bad experience with the service at this post office. There were a few issues: On 7 Jan 2021, Lady told me the wrong delivery time frame information and sent an item via Registered Post instead which doesn’t have tracking when I specifically also asked for tracking. I was told that it will take 19 business days to arrive which was acceptable to the person receiving the letter. The timing of this was critical because the recipient would be flying off to a diff country. In the end on 3 Feb, after going to speak to them to figure out why it still hasnt arrived - it turns out we should have sent the item via Express with tracking instead. This could have been avoided if it the lady had told me the correct info. On my visit on 3 Feb, I felt like these guys who run the place, are only interested in serving you as quick as possible without regard to listening to my needs properly. They have caused my recipient and myself a huge inconvenience. I recommend checking all info on the Aus post website before speaking to the guys at this post office. They don’t seem to care, do not listen to customer needs and only want to get rid of you as soon as possible.
I went there this morning to get my 4 months old photographed for passport picture. After waiting long in the queue while holding infant, the Indian guy at the counter was not much interested in the job from the start. He was rude in behavior, looked uninterested (and even told me he doesn't likes taking photos). While I was getting my bub ready for the photo, he took the shot without even saying ready (ofcourse it came as a terrible photo) and later told me it's my fault that I was taking too long (which I wasn't) & he could not wait any longer. Refused to take another shot. I found him very rude with no manners how to speak to a lady or deal with a customer living locally. Would never go to this post office again. He made me waste so much of my time & effort without any result. Australia Post must take notice why so many people complaining against this arrogant person at the counter. VERY DISAPPOINTED.
I am a regular customer of different Australia Post outlets. I went to The Pines LPO for the first time last week and was struck by the difference in attitude and customer service to most other Australia Post outlets I use. There were 3 staff behind the counter and I was the only customer at the time (around midday on a Friday). I waited for some time to be acknowledged, none of the staff seemed keen to serve me. Eventually after one of the staff, presumably the manager, said "she'll serve you" and indicated her colleague with a nod of the head, my business was dealt with. The staff member who processed my post clearly wasn't happy about being interrupted from whatever she had been doing as well as not happy to be told she'd be serving me. Unbelievable. I found it an unpleasant experience all 'round and certainly won't be taking my business there in future.
Overall poor to mediocre customer service experience at this outlet since the past couple of years, especially with one bespectacled lanky Asian male staff. One of the most outrageous experiences is, this guy insisted that I sign and acknowledge that I had received an item (an expensive limited edition multitool from US) which was missing from the registered packaged which I opened in front of him! Unbelievable. Of course I refused to sign for something which is missing. This guy did not offer to follow up on this screw up but threatened to call the police if I did not leave the premise. I was outraged and called the police myself and explained to them what transpired. The police were not amused too. No sane minds would acknowledge and sign for something they did not receive. This guy should be sacked. Period.
Terrible... The joint closes somewhere between 4:35 and 4:45 each day when they are supposed to be open til 5pm. So then I drive to Nunawading to drop urgent parcels and lo and behold they close at 5 now instead of 5:30pm... Anyways back to this shocker of a place. Rude service, condescending attitude, insists on arguing that declared actual weight should be the same as cubed weight. It's like they just started working there. But no. Same dude has been there for years. Just flat out terrible. I truly wish this was not my local post office and that I never ever have to go back there again. But alas it is and this review is my only avenue to complain and express my heartfelt wish that this place will somehow improve.
Ordered package from Taz with tracking. Absolute scam from AusPost though. The courier did not even show up to deliver, instead taking packages straight to depot. When I went to collect, P.O. informed me that driver tried to drop package at 6am but couldn’t leave it due to rain... 1) I was up before 6am and the door was left open 2) It was not raining until late morning 3) Detailed tracking shows me that it didn’t even reach Vic until 0753! Couriers typically get paid based on number of attempted deliveries (successful or not). Lazy tossers just dump them at depot and don’t leave a card. Very common in the UK where I’m from. Unlike other reviews, however, staff were polite and efficient
Often get told that it's not their Job to check my PO Box for me when I had only one key & didn't have it on me. I once got my uncle to collect a parcel for us and they gave him the letter from the PO box not the actual parcel and told him that was all. They always act like it's a huge effort to do their job, they always forget to put an alert to the app they asked us to get so we would know when something was in the PO Box. They don't even put anything in when a Star Track has arrived so unless you know that a Star Track is arriving to your PO Box you will never know it is there because they just keep a book but don't tell you. Absolutely useless.
Just want to say thanks to the manager. He was really helpful. He helped me with my baby’s passport application after business hours. I didn’t expect it would take so long as my passport renew application only took couple of minutes. So I only arrived at the post office 10 mins before their shop close and there was a long queue, when I finally got to the counter it was almost 5pm. But the manager still helped me at the end after they finished all other customers. It took about 15 minutes for the process. Thanks so much for that!
very rude and unfriendly. Come today for certified documents. Per page is $2.50. Because the lady quite rude when she said I need to pay, I replied to her by saying "Yes, I can pay". How many pages? If its too many, you need to go somewhere else...maybe the Australia post staff need more customer service training or something. During this time, don't you think that is common sense to at least be polite? Then the manager helping me 'coldly', well but at least he was not rude.
Went there this morning, service was bad. Before that, i went to LPO nearby @ Tunstall Doncaster East,. I asked for Seagate external hard drive, was rudely told that they do not sell them at AusPost. I showed the lady a photo of the item on AusPost website, then she just said they never stock them. Was asked to go another branch, while not looking at me. There was no other customers in store when i was there. I'll avoid to visit this branch in future.
Rude Indian lady staff. I went to have an VOI check, keep saying name have to be exact match to match the system. Everyone know Medicare card only put one letter for middle name.. I went to the conveyancing office at last, no problem at all, said All my documents are perfect enough to verify my identity. Honesty, post Office's service at the Pines, thumb down and down. So good I don't need to go to this post office ever again!!!!!!
Have had to do a few minor transactions here in the last couple of months and I've been pleasantly surprised by the service. Yes, the queues can be long but they clear them quickly and handle the transaction efficiently. It seems to be a small family business with only 3 staff, so they are pretty busy. That might be why they are slow to answer if you phone them in the middle of the afternoon - but they do answer eventually.
Had a good experience here, needed some help with sending some Pokémon cards off and the lady who served me was very kind while explaining what service and mailer I should use. Had a pretty neat collection of trinkets, notebooks, et cetera as well. Only downside is that they were selling Pokémon and Yu-Gi-Oh card packs that were clearly fake to any experienced collector, but less-informed shoppers may not be savvy to.
Absolutely useless. Have twice taken post to be sent back to sender (online shopping returns). Worker scanned my we code and then didn’t bother to actually attach the address to be sent to, so both items we redelivered to my address. When I went back to resend again, the lady said someone removed her address label... yeah right, not twice, and there would be no reason. Incompetent.
I have found the staff at this post office to be overly helpful and kind, they have always gone out of their way to make sure everything went smoothly. They are friendly and do their jobs just fine. Yes its busy and the line is long sometimes but just look at all the development going on around the pines shopping centre! Soon all shopping there will be a nightmare
A note to say how delighted we are to find an enormous difference made since Asian team taken over the post office at the Pines. Very professional and conscientious to provide excellent service. Specially young Asian Lady, She is very fast and patient knows what she is doing. Queuing time much shortened now. You guys doing amazing job during the COVID.
The newer team have been nothing but professional and helpful everytime I have dealt with them. Even when my package wasn't handled by Aus Post the friendly and helpful staff tried their best to help me identify where and who I should try next. Very glad that I have such a wonderful post office in the neighbourhood.
This has to be the worst post office in Australia. Not only have the delivery drivers stoped delivering parcels and leaving collection notes, leaving me to guess when my parcel may have arrived, or contact the seller. Now the staff are way to busy to check if any parcels have arrived. Complete rubbish.
A very busy post office office but the most friendly and helpful one I have been in , customer service is second to none , friendly and helpful , I'm amazed at the reviews on here that appear to be very bad .I give them a five out of five keep up the good work guys .
Terrible staff. Rude, blunt and mean. Blatantly over charged me with a payment. Did not try or even acknowledge let alone care less about her mistake. Every time I go it's like a new struggle. Will take my service to another post office this is just appalling!
I have only just realised how poorly run this PO is compared to other ones. Most of the staff make no effort to help with advice or guidance and are often blunt and rude to talk to. I'll be taking my business to Templestowe PO in the future
Surely theres some kind of rule whereby a post office should be contactable? They, by some fault not of my own ended up with a parcel of mine. I can't get in there and they don't answer their phone or have an email. Very unprofessional.
Really bad with working hours. It is suppose to be open till 5pm. Now its closing time is so random! Arrive at 4:50pm one day. it is closed!! the next day 4:40pm closed! And 4:35pm .. closing!! really bad and lady there is so rude.
Very rude staff, I went there to take a passport picture. The lady(asian) took my picture and without showing me , printed it out. When I asked to atleast let me select the picture, she said that I will charge you $20 extra.

Staff is friendly and helpful untill you come back with a faulty item bought at their store. Then you will be screamed at and not listened to by a store manager even if you are speaking softly and politely.
I was home all day waiting for my item to arrive but got a text saying that I wasnt home and I need to collect it at the Pines. It happened about 6 times in a row with Australia Post. Lazy and bad service!

No wonder Auspost made record profits the past year, there’s hardly any staff (for a Post Office that’s desperately needed in these parts; Doncaster East)...especially on a Saturday morning!
This is a service provider business, a smile & a hello ( which are FREE) to greet your customers instead of a glum look would make a big difference. Some training for the lady bosses needed!
This is my local post office and I frequent here quite a bit. Staff are super lovely and always helpful. The negative reviews sounds like they were made towards previous management.
MY wife my disabled mum for pics for visa application. They did not email them through and when she went to enquire they said that they are busy. Come back some other time !!!!!
Wouldn’t give my girl friend my package and she had a note signed from me and I called them 8 times and they wouldn’t pick up plus when I got there at 4:56 the store was closed

Was at home all day and they simply ask me to go there to collect the parcel.FYI the parcel was sitting at transit center for three days for no reason.
Took 45 minutes for a passport renewal. Photos taken were rejected by government department in the end and cost twice as much as everywhere else.
