We never write reviews, but just had to after our interactions with Ivan at Auto Service 1. The TL;DR version – we’ve never had such positive interactions with an automotive service center. Our car broke down in construction on the interstate on our 30th wedding anniversary, as we were driving from our home in Tennessee to visit friends in Minnesota. As we called around to service stations to see who could get our car looked at, most said they couldn’t get us in for a week or more. When Ivan heard our story, he promised that the car would get looked at the next day (we couldn’t get the car to the shop until after it had closed). Ivan stayed in constant contact with us through the inspection process, offering his help even for tourism advice. We were also charged a very reasonable amount for the inspection. Unfortunately, the work we needed had to be done by a Hyundai dealer, so we had the car towed there. Even though all of our interactions with Ivan had been on the phone, we stopped by Auto Service 1 just so we could meet him and shake his hand.

Five stars all the way! I had an exceptional experience at Auto Service 1. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly and felt incredibly welcomed. The team, especially Dave and Ivan, were not just honest but also incredibly well-informed, guiding me through every step of the process. Veronica made sure everything was financially friendly, and I felt truly taken care of throughout. The cleanliness of the facility was impressive, and the staff's attention to detail, especially in the thorough photos and videos they provided, showcased their dedication to excellence. They completed the job efficiently and on time, exceeding my expectations. The level of customer service here is outstanding! I'll definitely be returning for any future needs and will wholeheartedly recommend Auto Service 1 to my friends and family. A fantastic team that truly knows how to take care of their customers.

This is the best mechanic shop I've came across im a repeat customer and lucky enough I live down the block. They are honest, great work, compassionate and great prices. Once it's fixed it's fixed and with a 2 year warranty. Way better work then a dealership and the outrageous pricing a dealership has. This shop is the best of the best and Carlos the man that runs the shop is a amazing person very compassionate, honest and caring with addition of new talent infront with Ivan that's a caring and great personality it feels like your at a cafe with your best friend ivan is a key personality infront that makes you want to stay around and have a good time talking and another new talent david, is a great person with great knowledge this place is a dream of a shop and i take all my cars there and all my family's cars there. Carlos is a Gem in a World of no gems! And so are all his mechanics!!! When ever I take my car to him he is attentive, he studies my car, he asks questions looks for the best parts for the best price for me. He makes sure I get my car back as soon as possible! And Everytime I leave I know my car has been in good hands and that whatever the problem was it has been perfectly fixed!!!! I can not say that for MANY places!!!! And being that I am only In this city temporarily, it is a MIRACLE I was BLESSED With finding him right from the start!!!!!! I can not say enough about Carlos and his team!!!! They even have worked an hour late to get my car fixed and back to me.. I am So VERY GRATEFUL for them!!!!!

From the moment I called the shop that morning I spoke to Ivan who was pleasant and listen to my car issues, even though I didn’t have an appointment he told me to bring it in and they will look at it. I did just that. When I get to the shop I was greeted by Veronica who was very friendly and kind told her my issue I had going on with my car. She called Julio to the front to speak to me. Julio was very nice and knowledgeable and told me he would take care of it. I didn’t have to wait long for my car to be ready. I had a good time talking to Veronica the whole time I was there. They really do make you feel welcome. I highly recommend auto service one. You guys rock!

From the very first phone call when I spoke with Carlos I was immediately put at ease I brought my car in for one issue and when he looked at the car and Called with the diagnostic there were several other issues he explained everything in detail never once making me feel taken advantage of ,Being a female and having a few issues in the past with other auto mechanics I can honestly say I had no hesitation Picking up the car Carlos explained everything in detail also showed me photos before and after Carlos and his team are exceptional!! Carlos and his technicians are top notch. They delivered on their promise of wonderful service and knowledge if repairs. They did a motor swap in my 2018 Ford Focus ST turbo. They took extreme care in removing the old motor and installing the new motor. As they were installing it they cleaned everything and made the engine look brand new. Other issues were found aling the way and I was explained in full the best way to repair it and cost upfront. No pressure to commit on anything. I wish I could rank this shop 10 stars. A clean, courteous, and trustworthy shop. Female friendly as well. Professionals through and through.

Danny at Tico‘s treated me with a ton of respect and help me stay within my budget. I had to purchase a vehicle to help get our son safely to and from school. I paid cash but unfortunately it needed a little bit more work than I had hoped originally. Danny Provided me with a comprehensive Assessment of the vehicles help including pictures and a report of must have repairs and suggested repairs etc.… Even over the holiday weekend he was able to replace an entire brake system, brake line as well as provide new tires and windshield wipers to help keep my vehicle safe for our son.… Cannot recommend them enough

We were in Chicago for a funeral. When we parked to have lunch, we heard a loud hissing from the right rear tire. A piece of glass had punctured the side. We happened to be close to Auto Service 1, so we brought our car there are hoped that they could help us. They certainly did help us. They got us a new tire that was the same as the other three and installed and balanced it. We were able to return to our home in Michigan that same day rather than spend another night in Chicago waiting for the repair. We had a great experience--above and beyond what is usual and common. Very attentive service.

My neighbor recommended I try Tico’s auto repair shop (she has been going there for many years and has always had a great experience). Recently as I was trying to double park, I misjudged how quickly traffic was passing me and I accidentally dislodged my front bumper. I was really upset about this but then I remembered Tico’s so I took my car there. Danny had my car all fixed up in less than 3 hours (Midas makes you wait all day!) and his shop did an excellent job. His prices are very reasonable and he is super nice. I am probably going to use them for all my car maintenance going forward!

Had a check engine light on my 2015 Ford Fiesta so I brought it into this place after reading the stellar reviews. The positive reviews were all well deserved, the staff (shoutout to Nick and Veronica) were super friendly and professional and the repairs were solid. They sent me full breakdown of any issues discovered from the diagnostic, including photos and videos of affected areas (which I've never received from any mechanic before). The whole matter was taken care of and my car was back to me shockingly fast. 10/10 would recommend

I am glad I found this place. Most of the people working in this field take advantage of women that do not know much about cars. However, Auto Service 1 proved to be totally different! The manager explained everything to me so I could understand what the issue was. They also did a wonderful job repairing my broken AC and they did it so fast! Went there on Thursday and had my car back on Friday afternoon. The reviews do not lie - they’re the best! :)

I flew Into Chicago to buy a car, and needed a pre-purchase inspection. Before I arrived I called around looking for a auto service center to provide the service. Ivan answered and the phone and it just felt right going there. The inspection was very compressive and gave me the piece of mind I needed. So if you are in the Chicago area and looking for auto service give Dave and his team a car you will be glad you did!

I have always been satisfied with services done for our vehicles everytime I brought d them to this auto shop so I bring them to no other place. I ended up not needing to take my car to this shop in the end but this review is based on the interaction and quote Carlos gave me to repair my 09 VW Tiguan. Carlos went above and beyond to give me the best price he could, he was honest, worked with me, was friendly, and explained everything thoroughly. I will no doubt have him on the top of my list next time I need any servicing of my vehicles.

the service aspect and diagnostics end were top notch in my experience. The reason for only 4 stars is that in the time of covid 19, there is a sign on the front door requiring a mask for entry. When I went to pick up my vehicle, there were the owner and 2 customers upfront without masks on. Made me uncomfortable walking in, so I waited outside till the other customers left before going in.

Carlos and his guys did a great job with analyzing my vehicle, giving proper diagnosis and charging reasonable price for labor and parts (O2 sensor and carbon cleaning.) Carlos was very consistent, timely and went out of his way to ensure quality service. They also have aftermarket parts and help with installs. Will definitely be coming here more often when needed. Highly recommended!

I was going on a trip to Wisconsin on Saturday and my Jeep went into limp mode as the ECU was rejecting some after market parts. I showed up there w/o an appointment at 7:45am and they got right to it. Fixing it in 20min so I was able to make my trip! Their service is above and beyond. These guys are my new mechanics and should be yours too.

I had my CVT transmission rebuilt there (most shops won’t touch a CVT, only offer a $5k new one). Went great then there was another issue that wrecked the transmission. They put a new one in- no cost to me under their warranty! They did a great job and they’re honest/fair. I was very well taken care of during a very stressful time.

Auto 1 Service was close to where I live, they took the time to do a very thorough check on my car problem,and they got it done. With so much electronics in a car,I knew it would be a while but best to wait it out and once they identified the problem, car was fixed. Great job, and car runs better than before. I’m not sure about how much of a deal I got (I’m not a car guy), but left a good amount of detail on my AC problems when I brought my Hyundai in and gave me an idea of what to plan and look out for in regards to said problems. High quality customer service for sure!
