i walked in the store smiled and said hello and was greeted back. He said nothing and had an attitude. He mumbled and was very rude when asking questions. Printed the form out said 4 initials and a signature, I asked what is this he replied 4 initials and a signature. I said you aren’t even going to go over this. He replied 4 initials and a signature. Then got the wrong car I had a ford hatchback and was given a Nissan Sentra. We went out side to check it and it’s dark. He said I already put the scratches. I used my phone light to see the car and pointed out a dent, he said I have that I told you. Very rudely. I said you told me scratches this is a dent then shoves the paper in my face to show what he marked up. Was very upset I checked the car for myself. Like it was taken up his time to be thorough. He then said done and rip my receipt off and threw it at me. And said done and walked inside. I did nothing to warrant any of that attitude. I didn’t even want to bring up the wrong car situation because I didn’t want to deal with him. Worst service I’ve ever experienced. I also called the headquarters to tell them and was transferred to a voicemails where I have left several messages with no return calls.
Scam company, bad business practices and rude staff. I set a confirmed reservation for a car, they tell me all they need is a license, insurance and a form of payment for the deposit. I get there, and they tell me that I will be getting a completely different car and not the sedan that I reserved! I wanted a premium sedan and they were going to give me a small hatchback car for the same price, absolutely ridiculous, the reservation is supposed to hold the car there! Then they run my card and DENY me the rental because I had a debit card and not a credit card! Ridiculous! And it's not listed in their TOA. Then I find out they charged me for the rental anyway on top of everything! I demanded a refund, the rude man at the counter told me it's not up to him, and policy is policy. I had to threaten legal action before they finally offered the refund. I reported them to the BBB, I can't believe they are still allowed to do business using discriminatory methods and trying to con people out of their money. Use Enterprise instead!

Gentleman such as Pier is rare to find in today environment and that is the reasons I believe businesses goes around and be successful. I sincerely appreciate Avis for having manager such as him. God bless Pier along with his family and his co-workers and of course Avis for having such competent people in your team.
I feel that Arnold tries hard. The one guy that used to be at the counter he was very rude. I could not believe one day when he was working he didn't have my car and I'm like what you don't have my car how am I going to get to work and he said there's nothing he could do I thought that was very rude for customer service. So we went to another Avis and they were really nice on Ventura. But now Arnold works there he does try. It'd be really appreciate it if one day the supervisor would call me from the main office. I would like to talk to someone I've been running from you guys for a while thank you have a nice day
They have variety of cars with affordable prices for all budgets. We even exchanged our car because it consumes a lot of gas for free! The service was good but we had to wait in line for more than 30 minutes; there was only one working employee at the night shift in PDX airport. The man who made our deal worked an extra hour just to help us and he did it for free. While avis office in Bunbark airport was helpful too and did the exchange car for us for free. If you are thinking to rent a car; then this is the perfect place to do it.
Horrible hours, and no drop off box. When I was telling the service agent at location that due to the fact that my flight leaves before their location opens, I was having to orchestrate two sets of friends to help me get to the airport and drop off the car for me, his comment was “wow, you’re not going to drop off the car? That’s convenient for you!” My friends were not amused by his comment. They may have good prices, but check location hours.
Bad customer service to begin with and the guy gave me a car that was dirty and the maintenance wasn't done on it properly and he was rude saying that he had to go because he was the only worker there that day and he didn't have any cars available so I had no choice but to take a car that was dirty and unreliable for my trip so I complain to the manager and he was being rude and saying that it was my fault when it wasn't

I made reservations 2 weeks ahead. To give enough time before I need the car i pick. They called me 20mins before they close at 5pm( the day BEFORE i need the car.) What’s the purpose of having to make reservations ahead of time when they’ll call last minute for the changes. ♀️ anxiety level Customer service was nice enough to not charge me the cancellation fee since it wasn’t my fault.
No windshield washer fluid. Oil change light on. A/C smelled like stale cigarettes. Passenger sliding door window was covered in what looked like snot finger painting. Infotainment system needed an update and would not connect to Android or IPhone with either Bluetooth or USB cable therefore GPS and music was unavailable. First bad experience with Avis, but this was extremely bad.
I walked in and the gentleman who helped me looked as though he dropped a hamburger all over his shirt and then just walked out to help me. The car that i got looked as though it had not been cleaned since the last person who rented it. I'm talking about the inside too. Marks on the seats and dash. It wasn't a food fight but I would advise you bring along some hand sanitizer.
The check in and out was extremely easy. Also, there was a problem with air in the tires, they had me return with the vehicle and they handled it immediately. I had no problems at all with the car, and it was a great overall experience. I was checking out and waiting in line, but they called me to the front to handle my return in the middle of that. It was great.
Outstanding service. Arnold was friendly, attentive and very professional. You can tell from a mile away that he knows what his doing. Overall exterior and interior cleanliness and/or presentation of this rental place was excellent. If anything, the only thing I'm going to suggest is: please have more nice Uber cars available.
We normally rent from Hertz, but this Avis location was more convenient. Wow! We were very impressed! Fastest pick up of a rental car I've ever had outside an airport location. Clean car in great condition, full of gas. And retuning it was just was fast as picking it up. Thanks, Avis! You have a new returning customer!
Holiday weekend, my reservations were being rejected, and the manager helped me telephonically and in person to get into the vehicle I wanted and on the road! They take the time for the personable approach, show passion for their work, and I highly recommend using them if you find yourself in the area.
the rental agents at this location are always professional, personable and helpful. i’ve not only experienced that first hand, but i’ve seen them be that way with every customer i’ve witnessed them interacting with. it’s a small location with big service!

Easy, efficient, quick, and friendly! The cars are new, clean, and come with a full tank of gas so you always know how much to put back in. The pickup and drop-off is so easy compared to other companies, we just don't go anywhere else anymore.

AVIS was awesome. They were quick and had patience with me. They offered solutions. I was out of state traveling for my grandsons graduation and forgot my major credit card which I needed to have. The agent saw that I had a Self credit
I had a wonderful experience at the Van Nuys location.However at the Northridge location it was a different story.The guy running the counter couldn't answer basic questions like"how much is the security deposit?"Horrible.
If you reserve a car with Avis online, check your statement carefully before accepting any charges here as their systems either don't communicate well or the local operator overrides them with their own rates by default.
The customer service, by far, was the best I've ever received at a rental company. I will definitely continue giving my business to this location exclusively. Our travel needs and request were met without hesitation.
This place is so easygoing, relax ,the guys are so friendly. Very happy with the service. Thay even allowed me to park my car in their parking until I come back from my trip.

The Avis I rented at was horrible. There was zero costumer service. The gentleman working was beyond rude. Never again would I rent with Avis.
