I took a car in Avis Yorkville for a day which and when I went to the location in Yorkville, they asked me if I wanted a toll unlimited in my daily rate, so I asked them if I needed it as I would drive in NY state, and they replied no, so I did not include it. Upon my return in NYC, I needed to cross the George Washington bridge (main way into Manhattan) and there was a toll, which of course the representative must have known, which means that it was clear I would have needed the toll in my daily rate and so the answer to my question should have been yes. This makes me think that the AVIS representative knew they were going to get more money out of me by charging me via the backdoor and hence did not tell me to include a lower daily toll unlimited. This is the opposite of customer-obsessed behavior and hopefully my feedback will help other people avoiding this.

I had a great experience with this AVIS. I had never rented a car in the city before so I was quite apprehensive – but the staff was so nice and helpful it totally alleviated my anxieties. Both times I was there (for pickup and drop off), the staff totally made my day and were just so fun and funny. Wish I had gotten their names so I could shout them out properly! They were also flexible with an early return and helpful with all of my questions. I would definitely come back next time I need to rent a car!

Rented a brand new car with seamless pick up experience. Realized the next morning that golf clubs were left behind in the boot of the car. Called the 92nd street office and the staff were simply AMAZING. Tracked down the car , arranged for clubs to be returned to the office, contacted me within one hour and ribbed me to no end-----fair game. They are the best.

Check in was super fast and the staff was very friendly. The gas tank was full. The attendant made sure he marked down all the spots on the vehicle before I signed off on the paperwork. Everyone was patient and full of smiles. Dropping off the vehicle was a breeze. I would definitely recommend this place.

Many thanks to the wonderful staff at this Avis location. Pickup and drop off was a easy, and the agents were funny and attentive. The car was brand new, but mostly it was the staff that made the whole experience a joy. Special thanks for making me feel at home to the lady who studied in Alabama!

I've rented from this location two times and both times the staff was very friendly and helpful. There's no specific building entrance; you have to walk directly into the "exit" lane of the parking lot and the office will be on your left.

This branch has an EXTREMELY slow service We are talking about on more than 45 minutes just to get the car which was pre paid and checked in It was unbelievable… The staff didn’t care that much or tried to do anything in that matter

Nandi was honestly the sweetest and most pleasant to deal with made my rental a breeze and wasn’t a hassle at all. She was efficient, genuine and really funny! Can’t wait to rent from here again.

Staff very attentive to all customers. I was greeted as I walked and given update while waiting for a rental. Everyone was really nice from employees in office to the service agent.

The staff was super friendly and helpful, & the check-in process was smooth. There was about a 30-minute wait - but lines during the pandemic/holidays are to be expected.

The car we rented was only half full of gas and the guy was really impatient, yelling at my friend to get over and sign something when he was inspecting the car
