Hands down worst customer service I've experienced with a rental company in a while. Making me pay for a parking fine that only happened, because there is no space to drop off the car or no one on duty that could make the time to get the car to their private parking I couldn't access as a customer. What actually outrages me is the fact that you make me, as your customer, pay for having too little staff on duty in your office. I told the colleague, who was working at the time that I left the car outside parking second row, as there was no other way of leaving it in the vicinity and no information provided, where to park it otherwise. Already when fetching the car two weeks earlier we had to wait for 1.5 hours to get the car. Is anyone gonna reimburse me for my time waiting? Your poor colleagues bust their backs trying to cater to all clients waiting to get or return a car. And instead of having one or two people more working and making sure to receive cars or hand them out on time, I am supposed to cover for your poor processes. I won't even bother requesting a refund. Just be assured: never gonna book with you again. Instead of offering cheap prices you can't sustain, make it a better customer experience and I am happy to pay for that instead of a fine that occurs, because logistics aren't working and I'm left by myself as a customer to figure out what to do. Hats off to the guys that I saw hustling for Avis and Budget in the office - you don't deserve them as a company as I can see they are doing their best. Horrible service. Unlike any Avis location I have rented from. They have the shortest opening hours on the weekends compared to all other companies at the airport. Since the location closes at 8p on Saturday I dropped off keys in the dropbox. I received no confirmation of contract closing or final invoice even by Monday noon. No one answered the phone when I called the service on Sunday. When I called on Monday the lady was snippy with me. I told her I want the bill to be finalized before I leave the country because of a previous bad experience I had in an Eastern European country. She told me to check the bill on the website but when I tried my reservation number gave me an error message. On Monday afternoon I arrived early at the airport just for this reason. I went to the counter and the rep (cristi) told me your contract is still not closed. I asked why after more than 36 hrs that’s the case, she seemed irritated. After probably sending a message to someone on the computer, a few minutes later she told me they just closed the contract. I asked if the final bill will be coming in the email she said “yeah .. sometime soon”. Unfortunately, the email never arrived. However, I was able to see the final bill online at that time. I’ve never experienced a service like this at Avis location over the last 25 years. Most locations also send a customer satisfaction survey where you can air some of the grievances, but not the Helsinki location.

Rental car is good as always from avis. The service at this location is quite poor. They close the office randomly for „lunch break“ from approx 12:00 to 14:00. I had to wait from 12:45 to 14:00 to give back the car keys. We had an appointment to give back the car at 13:00 and when taking the car no one has advised about their random „lunch breaks“. This office is also next to XXX-Video shop which was very awkward to wait more than 1h in front of the office as strange people were walking in and out to the xxx shop. I also got a skoda instead of bmw 320 in group F (ofcourse it states or similar :) ) Next time I would rent from the airport.

Everything was very smooth and friendly, from the time of finalizing the paperwork, getting the vehicle and returning. There was no attempt to upsell unecessary services, which was refreshing. Probably the smoothest car rental experience I have had, which is good for such a small agency with just one employee. I can understand that people might have trouble finding a free parking spot when returning car, as this is in the middle of Kamppi, but I guess that is unavoidable. There was an available spot right in front of the agency and employee took hold of the car immediately so no problem there.

Fine car rental service, but return conditions in downtown bussy streets near the rental were impossible, drove arround and arround and in the end parked at the only space that got free, and recived 80€ fine. Good luck, or even better - return at the airport, the time you spend looking for place is like taking the train to cityceter from ✈️ for 4€. Edit: as of now they charged me 100€ for not returning full gas tank (3/4 full). All of these extras resulting in 200%+ price comparing to 3 days rental listing price. Apart from that, car was in great condition and service at the rental friendly.

Very bad service. They try to scam you. So please be aware reading anything very carefully, that is handed over to you. As this happens just electronically on a tablet you don't have enough time to read everything carefully. They charged us for a pickup ONE hour earlier than appointed a full day. This full day was more than double the price than a full day on my voucher from the broker. I would have never expected such scamming in Finnland.

Pleasant and easy enough, but... Cars need to be returned to a busy city centre area and there's often no parking spaces and a fair amount of time is required driving up and down to find one. And what's this nonsense about 'would you like to pay extra for breakdown cover?' Are you seriously telling me that if you rent me a car and it breaks down that you won't sort that out? Madness.

Lowest degree of service I‘ve ever experienced with a car rental. Didn’t achieve to comply with any of my wishes. Still struggle to get the invoice right. If you have the chance try to reserve with another car rental. The central location doesn’t compensate for the unpleasant experience you‘ll have.

I described here, employee from Avis vorgotten to say: Office will be closed at 06.01.23. I paid for parking till monday 09.01.23 36€. Avis contacted me and promised to refund this amount. Now i got it. Thank you! Good car, very kind service and support afterwards.

Beware that if you drop the car off after hours, the parking is only for a hour, so you need to keep paying until the free parking cut off time. Pretty bloody annoying they did not tell us that. Need to pay in person or faff around with the app.

Dont rent from here. When were returned the car they charge 150 euro, claiming we were smoking In car, but we dont smoke. They charge your Credit card, WITHOUT request.

Quick and efficient rental, but unable to sent the invoice 8 days after the rental despite promise to do it right away.
