One star for one of the staff members who helped us so efficiently, unfortunately I can't remember his name. One star for how quickly everything was processed. Less 3 stars because they completely botched the payment, then called me frantically 4 times and left 2 voice messages within 15 minutes (i'm a working woman, I can't just answer the call when I feel like it). Called back and they told me there is outstanding payment because the cashier incorrectly charged us for less - so no delivery on the day we needed everything to be delivered. Then they took it upon themselves to cancel a few items to balance the bill - rescheduled our delivery for then to tell me it's been scheduled for the month ahead told me they couldn't do anything and ordered me to call another store the items would be delivered from, which they should have called themselves to sort out my issue. Called the other store (Yeading) who were SUPER helpful and reassured that I'll receive my delivery and told me that Cricklewood should not have transfered me to them and that the error was made by them (they closed my order). What an ABSOLUTE FAFF. Worst experience.
Most of reviews from people on this store are false and they are not saying the true. I will make a proper complaint against this store and one of the staff who I think she is from one of the East European countries, she asked me to show her a £4.00 receipt for the items I purchased and when I told her this is not appropriate approach as you are showing discrimination against other people who are from different backgrounds like myself and I said if I was a white English person would you behave the same ? And finally when I wanted to leave the store she didn't allow me to go out from that gate, and with absolute rudeness said to me "you don't go out from here" and she shut the gate. I could have called the police to solve the problem but I decided to leave my purchased items on the floor and I heard her again with shameless rude voice "take your staff" But I didn't take them and I left the store from the different door. I don't recommend this store to anyone
Update: This was a 5 star review but it has been demoted to a 1 star review for the following reason. Even if the cutting station says it's 'out of order', it's not. Turns out the corporate boss of B and Q in the area, tells the staff to lie to customers so they don't have to provide the service. If you kick up enough of a fuss they will cut it for you, so don't let yourself be fobbed off with 'sorry it's out of order'. Dear faceless corporate boss person: Don't force your staff to lie on your behalf. If you want to behave in such a slimy untruthful manner, stand in front of the timber cutting station and explain that to your customers yourself
Avoid this place I come with a list of 45 parts to buy … I go out with only 2 ….because I can’t found the item I ask to the stuff 4 different people to help me and they only say ceck the corridor 10-8-6-5-3 and they not help or support …. I ask help to a guy was walk and he say was the security…. Than the employees if you ask a prosò duct they show you they do different stuff only to not help .. when I go to the till to pay this item I ask to the person on the till if they can help me and they say they don’t know about the product on the store …. Than I suggest you to buy stuff online because I waste 1 h on this place without buy all my stuff
Absolutely fantastic customer service - the dream shopping experience. I came to B&Q to buy some really smart and natural-looking but artificial garden trellis for my new garden but even though there were none left in stock, Mo from this store said no problem I'll let you know when it next comes in and he then called me today and I am now the proud owner of the garden trellis I wanted. Both Mo and his lovely colleague Umal (on TradePoint checkout) were so friendly, helpful, professional and efficient and their customer service was FIRST CLASS. 10/10 Highly Recommended - B&Q is the best for all your DIY/Garden needs
This place always have a Few items available and and the prices on the shelves for some products are not correct or have no price if you want to know the price for one item you need to wait when the personal put the label whit the price that it will not be at the moment that you say so and At the time of paying, they only have the card payment area available and in sight. If you are looking to pay in cash, these areas are closed, you have to go to an area where there are brushes and there is a yellow sliding door, there you can pay in cash, that area is very hidden. they have a bad organization in everything
Me and my family were looking for a wooden plank of a certain size and we asked a worker named Aaron to help us, who was plain rude and did not know how to speak to customers, I recommend he has an intense course of customer service. However, staff members called Iesa and Devashir (I don’t know if that was his name correct me if i’m wrong) were very helpful and helped us find and cut the wooden piece of which we were in need of. They were very helpful and had amazing customer service skills. They made our experience better after Aaron was rude.
I find this Do-It-Yourself Superstore has the right sort of stock to keep the amateur like me satisfied and the prices are good too. I recently bought some roof sealant and it worked a treat. The staff are helpful and I don't feel intimidated. I had some paint mixed up for me one time and they couldn't have been more helpful. Very professional service. One more thing I should mention, they have a bargain bin of off-cuts - just take a piece of wood or whatever and make a donation in the charity box. Lovely idea. Still good in 2023.
This started off as a great experience when Jess and I planned my new kitchen addition. However, it began to get annoying when some important items weren’t added to my delivery but Donna Nayana came to the rescue! She’s so lovely ( with beautiful long locs) and quite hands on. She made sure she resolved the issue and that I left the store happy. This is not really a review for the store itself, it’s a review for Donna and Jess! Absolutely wonderful ladies. I’ll always use it as my one stop shop for everything DIY.
No queue outside, but should going through on the long serpentine way..I bought sanding paper, and sanding flap wheel. The label under the sanding paper showed clearance price, but charged more. Find out all details (size, grit) match, but barcode different. Mean the item labelled not exist there, but the exist product doesn't labelled. That cheating in my point of view. The sanding flap wheel useless, just wobbling on the axle for 3x more expensive than can buy on Amazon so that will return.
I was on the paint department, a lady her name is Alicia, I asked her to help me as a customer. She’s doesn’t even trying to help and clarifying how to get the mixed colour that I want, she keeps ignoring me and finally tells me because she doesn’t want to help. Very sad and ridiculously for getting such very very racist girl at this young age!!!!!!!! I’m sure will never come back again, but I will strongly recommend to recruit a professional staff.
I went today, to buy mixed paint. And was served by , a very helpful young man. His name was Rickon. I hope i have spelt his name properly. He was telling me he started a month ago, and was really enjoying working there. I was surprised he was only working there a month. As he was very knowledgeable. He had great customer service very friendly. He is certainly a great credit to your company. And i wish him well. Patricia Wallace. I
Very few staff available to offer help. Asked a member of staff where the Wood Worm Treatment was and they didn't know what Wood Worm was. Asked a friendly member of staff about working hours of the wood Cutting service and she said "the guy who runs it is only part time and no one knows when he's working" so you just have to hope for the best when you come in. No customer toilets either.
I have just visited this store to buy some curtain pole. I could not buy it as they have blocked the area around that isle saying that nobody can go there as they doing some works, by the way there was nothing happening there. Why would you block a whole area in a shop which is there to sell goods for you in the middle of the day for no reason. Now have to go to another B&Q store….
Great b&q location in Cricklewood, London. The staff are extremely helpful and knowledgable. I was able to find what I needed very quickly, the aisles are clearly labelled and very well laid out. Great selection of what you need for DIY or professional. Lots of paint, wood, electrics etc. Great location and services the community. Check out my profile for other reviews.
The car park is disgusting, full of litter and no love from B&Q and local stores. The store itself is ok, however the staff are lacking professionalism, very slow with service (one till open with 10 people queued up).The staff really need more training on providing excellent service at the tills and supporting a smooth exit for people looking to purchase.
Slowly slowly the quality of service is going down. I'm in the shop now, apparently waiting for a manager as one of the worker don't want to use the forklift, today to give me one of the item. After loosing 30 min in the store, the manager came and said that they have 2 machine to get stuff down but there are both broken. Is this poor management or what?
Was as expected but don’t know where all the staff are hiding in this store not easy to find what you want if not a regular but also found they were a lot more expensive compared to mp Moran and sons just down the road that had staff able to be seen from everywhere and were able to answer what was needed so might have to stop going here if I’m honest
I went there to collect a paid for item. When I arrived the service was quick and pleasant. I wanted to do a bit more shopping and asked if my order could be set aside to be collected later. I was told that was fine. I think this branch is excellent and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to friends and family.
It's functional without being flashy. Would love for more staff to be visible on the floor to help guide people's buying choices and give general advice. I would have bought more things if I could have spoken to someone, but just bought the minimum and left. Staff that I did see were nice though.
Thank you Dylan for being so helpful. I had a nightmare trying to find some edging tiles that were in stock but nowhere to be seen. He searched the warehouse, back of the shelves and then got the ladder to check boxes at the top which is where we discovered the stock! So so grateful, thank you.
I had a really helpful and stress free time with the help of Ariana and Kanya a few weeks ago. They helped me throughout the whole process of choosing the right paint for my bathroom and as a very indecisive person I couldn’t thank them enough… it looks amazing ! I will definitely be back soon
I generally have middling experiences of B&Q, it's hard to find anyone animated enough to show you the item you need (a needle in an aircraft hanger). HOWEVER, I was served by someone lovely called Donna recently and I found her enthusiasm infectious. Decent people really help the experience.
Came here to collect an online order, no problems, staff was helpful. ample parking, they also have membership for traders. some displays were quite untidy, difficult to find the correct price on some. i normally wait for massive sales i.e., 3 for 2, some cracking deals to be had.
Nas is a star! Really needed some wood cut and although the machine was not operating (too early) he found the time to help me get a project finished in time for Christmas. Staff like this make all the difference and will keep me spending money at this store. Thanks again Nas!
worst b&q in all london. I wasted half an hour for nothing here. I wanted to buy 5 empty boxes from dewalt, I found two on the shelf and that was it. although they said they had 36 in stock after half an hour of waiting in the store no one was competent to find them.
Having searched North West London for a place where I could buy timber cut to size, I was lucky enough to be directed here. I cannot over-emphasise how helpful each and every staff member was. It will be my hardware and DIY store of choice in future.
Popped in to pick up some compost as I only needed a small amount for an indoor plant, quickly located a small bag & some plant food to then pay & be on my merry way to pot my new house plant experience was as you’d expect from any B&Q. …
I find the general B&Q attitude always a bit irritating. ID is required to collect a £4 globe and while I had ID I always wonder what happens if I had forgotten it at home. I also had some £3 nails with no receipt and could not swop it for
Tonight I stood queuing for 30mins, one tiller with fussy customer not understanding your buy for offers. You have a warehouse full of thousands of product to be sold at the till, if your not selling at the till then how you making money.
Ordered on line the goods I brought. Had a email to pick up an hour early Which I thought was fast work. Made my way the lady on the click and collect was very nice and polite with good communication and customer service. Thanks B&Q 10/10
Organised and neat branch , lots of items to choose from . At this moment the show room is full of Christmas items so if you need any kind of xmas decorations, you will definitely find it ! I went for ceiling lighting and ended up buying
Like most places, some staff are helpful, others not so. Pretty good range of materials, I was able to make do with other products where they didn't have exactly what I wanted. My gripe is two-fold: the small packets of things (screws,
One of the biggest toolshop in London which have A-Z, just name it. They usually have good offers and their staff are knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. The last time had a good bargain in their garden section. 1£ each :)
Recently been renovating my friends house- B&Q always has all the required tools. Paint swatches and mixing services were great. Will be returning again in the coming weeks to help my friend pick a bedroom wallpaper.
The indoors are spot on, however the garden is such a sad scene, most of the plants are not watered and neglected. Sad to see such sight, I hope the branch addresses this and take good care of their garden section.
Ioana was very helpful and extremely kind with great customer service. She made my experience at B&Q very easy & helped me get exactly what I was looking for. Thank you so much Ioana. Great Service …
Went to Wickes (Cricklewood) first couldn't find products for my DIY job they seemed low & limited in their range..But B&Q had everything to hand + bigger range of off the shelf kitchen units
Shop is good but I got a parking ticket for shopping there ??? I paid £40 just because I needed to get to the cash point before going into the shop . Cameras watching your every move - beware
Free money! I bought a 6ft natural looking Xmas tree today for £80 (on special from £100). When I opened the box, I found 5 x £20 cash inside. Wow, I got paid £20 to get this Xmas tree! Wow!
The staff is kind and professional. The manager in the trade counter (sorry, forgot the name) was so professional and liked his knowledge. He organised the van for the delivery floor tiles.
I had a problem with my B & Q gift card. Had to ask for help over the phone. A lady called Amrul was extremely helpful and resolved the problem quickly and efficiently. Thank You.
Donna and Fiona were so kind and helpful with my queries. Helped me find suitable boxes for my needs and were just so genuinely joyous and accommodating. Wonderful team!
Great experience and customer service from Barry when we were picking out our Christmas tree, and we massively appreciated him helping to get the tree in the car..
Terrible wood cutting experience. Not available on weekends and only between 9 and 11 am on a monday. Impossible situation. Update your website to explain this!
10/10 customer service. I had a great experience shopping at B&Q with the help of Ioana. She was very kind and helpful, saved me so much time. Thank you Ioana
Very good quality products available here. I was looking for painting supplies and found what I needed. Not cheap, but definitely got good quality products.
I went in to buy a gift card but it was such an ordeal and caused the staff such confusion that you’d swear it was everyone’s first day on the job! Avoid!
I meet staff (chani) she's very respectful about customer and friendly also she's always trying to help as best way ...thanks chani …
My local hardware and most of the time chaper than to buy from amazon. Came there to buy two light bulb but one of them they don’t have it in stock.
Not very appealing, it’s actually rather empty and dead. Prices seems to be on the hight end and the plumbing section is very poor, only essentials.
Amazing for garden plants and accessories. Just finishing my little garden on balcony with the products from b&q and are trilled with the outcome.
Great customer service and all I needed :-) Easy to find what you want and plenty options. Nicely labelled and displayed even for a novice …
Went for paint all the colours we wanted was not on there told us that they didn't think any stock was coming in those colours to order on line
The guy doing the cutting service is brilliant! I drive further but it's worth it! M-F 9-11am Sat-Sun 12:30-2:30pm (call before travelling)
Empty shelves, never known a B&Q so lacking before. Online said they had the blinds we wanted, go all way there and they don't have them.
An organised store where staff located my order within minutes (phew!). Will definitely be using again for my home improvement needs
Doesn't stock some of the stuff other homestores do. Went in hope to get same stuff but it wasn't stocked. Otherwise nice big store
Prices were very high and store seemed to cater only to trade, so you had to purchase several of an item and not 1 or 2 you needed
They follow you around the shop and fine you for parking DO NOT GO HERE. The staff also have no clue of where anything is
TERRIBLE CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE, HUMILIATING. I was checking out at a self-check till, the guy checked my cart for "over 18
Very efficient collection service. Ordered online item that was not in many B&Q stores - later went there - was in
Has improved over the last year, now well stocked and staffed with a Trade Point entrance open most of the time
Customer service is as close to 0 as possible. No customer toilets and plenty of walking around pointlessly
I paid the store a quick visit to pick up some kitchen paint and Stain Block, which I purchased then left.
Guys here is like a small IKEA you can find everything and something even cheaper …
An all in one super store for construction and building materials! Very convenient store.
Good selection of items, nice house and garden plants too, at really good prices.
