"This mushroom and rosemary pastry was so crispy and creamy it almost made me cry"
"Fun neighborhood takeout bakery"
"Best butter tarts in the city, hands down"
"Yummmmmm"
"This is an absolutely fantastic sourdough"
This mushroom and rosemary pastry was so crispy and creamy it almost made me cry. The butter tarts are one of the best I’ve had. Extra points because they only sell what they make that day, so fresh! The chocolate cookie is also a must try with the salt on top. Super cozy little factory looking place with lovely people.
Fun neighborhood takeout bakery. Note that there is very limited seating as the spot seems to be designed more for takeout— there is a bench and 3 counter stools though. Really enjoyed the butter tarts and the iced Viet coffee. Give this spot a try if you're in the mood for sweet baked goods. More
Best butter tarts in the city, hands down. Just a little bit runny in the middle, and a generous sprinkle of salt to offset the sweetness. They use a flaky puff-pastry style shell instead of the more traditional shortcrust, but I actually prefer it that way. More
Yummmmmm... Milk buns are best! Prices are higher than what I'm used to, but it's def very yum. Will need to come back to try more sweet stuff. Get hot cross buns while they're available!!! Oh and iced orange coffee is very very refreshing, chefs kiss! More
This is an absolutely fantastic sourdough. Make sure you have a good bread knife, because the thick crust demands it. And the bread is a great price for what you get - so many of these artisanal shops are charging way more for equal or lesser quality.
We bought the Leftover Christmas turkey galettes and butter tarts then sat at the bench at the Christie Pits park to try them. It was pretty cold outside, but the savory galettes were warm and fresh. We had a good time chatting and finished
I got the chance to try this place through a third party app and I’m so glad I did! Very unique beautiful baked creations. I had a mushroom tart that was out of this world, a melt in your mouth butter tart and a delicious cheesy loaf. I had
We were walking along Bloor west when we noticed a long lineup of people at an open storefront window, but, didn't notice what the lineup was for. On our way back there was still a lineup so we decided to ask what the hype was about. I was
Tasty treats. The cashier communicated well that I would have to wait for her to make a coffee for a previous customer and made it up to me later by giving me a free cookie! Now that's customer service! Looks like it's takeout only with no
The best new bakery in Toronto and best addition to the neighborhood! Sourdough is crispy outside, perfectly soft and moist inside. Butter tarts are the optimal sweet/crispy/buttery/gooey ratio plus with Maldon salt on top which is genius.
Cookies are so good with a salty bite. Butter tarts are flaky and caramelized along the edges. So very very good! Sour dough bread is good too, but it was over baked so very hard to cut at home. Maybe just this batch? Hard to find as they
Another local pandemic success story in my book. A brilliant pivot because of the pandemic. An Tran had plans to open his café & restaurant. He shifted to a pickup window because of all the COVID restrictions. It’s a mix of his experience
Tell them to invest in a slicer. Also if your name is phillip, they are looking for you. This is one of the best bakeries, if it was your expressed favorite, Id shake your hand and say “good day.” The country loaf and the chocolate chip
I always look like a maniac carrying at least three loaves of bread on me walking out of here, but I'm willing to lose my dignity for this stuff. Definitely one of my top choices for sourdough in the area, the focaccia is also excellent!
Ba Noi is an incredible bakery. Their butter tarts and loafs are fantastic, but their focaccia is some of the best in the city. The true crime is that they only seem to make maybe 3 of each kind a day. I've been five times and only
Amazing baked goods!!! Came just in time the chocolate cookies came out of the oven and OMG it was heavenly!!! Their butter tart was also good... unfortunately, other stuff was sold out when I came but both item was 10/10 More
love at every bite.. the best buttertart in town. I tried it before from a friend and i just fell in love with it. Today i was in the area and ask my friend to bring me to this store to buy butter tart. Cravings satisfied.
Mostly a take out spot for coffee and baked goods. Sweet and savoury options available. I only tried the butter tarts. The salt addiction on the tarts were perfect. The tarts are too sweet for me. The pastry is flakey.
Butter tart 10/10. The best balance of salt and sweetness. Not overly sweet. My friend had the chocolate cookie and he liked it a lot. Staff and owner of the store are extremely nice. I would come back again for
All day I dream about Ba Noi’s sourdough, and milk buns, and cookies, and honestly I think they make the best coffee in the entire neighbourhood (tall claim!). I pretty much recommend Ba Noi to everyone. More
I walked almost 1 hour just to try the butter tart. And man it was worth it, the tart was amazing, the amount of sugar was perfect and they add a little bit of salt to it that makes it a must taste. More
Best sourdough I've had anywhere. Focaccia is also phenomenal and the butter tarts are probably the best in the city. Staff is also friendly and the prices are great for this level of quality.
The galettes here are fantastic. I had the corn cheddar - not much in the way of cheddar flavour, but the corn was bright and sweet, and the pastry is par excellence. I’ll be back to try more!
The butter tarts are really awesome and ooey gooey - hard to find ones that make a lasting impression and leave you yearning for more (or reminisce the ones offered in cottage country).
I really really like this place. Everything is always delicious and the owner is super chill and kind. They make the best bread and the best buttertarts in all of toronto I’m sure.
Best butter tarts in the city can be found here. The barista is great and very friendly. They also carry Quietly Coffee which is superb for all the coffee lovers out there.
The butter tarts are one of the best desserts I've ever had in my life. So good we went back to get more. The chocolate chip cookie's really good too!
Outstanding butter tarts. I want to go back to try the brown butter salted chocolate chip cookies and about 4 other things! The staff were lovely.
Best sourdough, cookies and butter tarts in the city. Maybe in the province. Also, pick a gallette, any gallette; you won't be disappointed. More
Have ordered multiple times for the country loaf. Would recommend! Bread is one of the best in the city- freshly baked, crunchy on the outside,
The focaccia is simply AMAZING! Sooooo good! The cookies are also a must try! Service is friendly. They also offer coffee, but no seating area.
Everything is good, so I guess get everything? Best chocolate chip cookie in the city too, and I typically sample in each bakery that I visit.
Much needed bakery in the neighbourhood. Had the butter tarts and cookies. The cookies were meh but the butter tarts were incredible. More
Their butter tarts are hands down amazing. Not too sweet with just the right amount of flavor. Highly recommend getting.
take their deliciously amazing butter tart and salted chocolate chip cookie and enjoy them at the park nearby. More
Best butter tarts I ever tasted. Wonderful team. Can’t wait to go back for more yummy baked goods.

Their chicken pot pie is the best chicken pot pie I've ever had. Also the butter tarts are delicious. More
Lovely selection of pastries ranging from sweet to savoury, and many with asian influenced ingredients!
Best butter tarts! No pictures I ate them too fast
