I had a terrible experience at BIGW Macquarie. A lady stands in the entrance section next to the beauty products section, wearing a mask and having purple hair. She was vulgar and racist towards me. She insulted me when I tried on some beauty products tester. I tried some foundation samples on my face recently, and she strangely stared at me. It felt like she thought I was doing something illegal or stealing something. After a few seconds, she approached me rudely and told me not to open and not try them on. I tried explaining that they were testers, but she denied it and pretended she couldn't see them. She didn't even apologise for her behaviour. Instead, she told me they didn't have any samples, which was clearly not true. If you can't distinguish your duties at work, please mind your business. Just go ahead with saying hello, welcome, and bye to customers there/ I even noticed that she doesn't say Welcome, Hello or any nicest stuff to the people except whites/. Don't look and stare at Asians with stupid eyes at all times. Even though I liked the products I tried, I couldn't get them because of her, and even now, I am wholly traumatised to go to BIGW Macquarie and afraid to see her again.

Please be careful when you want to deal with a customer service team. I bought Dyson V8 Vacuum through online. When I opened and found dust or something else in the cylinder as in the attached photos. If demo and used products, it could be. However, this is a new product and was sealed thoroughly. The problem was from the customer team member and his manager. I explained the reason why I would like to exchange or refund as never used by me, but they insisted to refuse the refund or exchange. They were not the technical support from Dyson, which meant that they couldn't judge what the issues were. However, they looked and wiped it and said "this was just something rubber." Especially, that manager's attitude was really bad, I cannot call it customer service. The way he talked and looked like his was upset. I could understand why they had more customers downstairs, I think they need to change their service level to compete with their competitors. From now on, Big W Macquarie has lost not only 1 customer, but also more customers - my families, friends and more.

Went to buy a coffee machine on sale. But non on the shelf. No problem, I found a switch on the wall which called a team member. I told him I had phoned before I came and asked if they had them in stock and they said yes we have 6, just come down, no need to reserve one. I told the team member and he was very annoyed about this. Who was it he said. I didn't get a name I said . Was it a guy or a girl he asked. A girl I said. He muttered something. She's in trouble I thought. Anyway he went and got me one from the stockroom. Sunbeam mini barista. They are junk and don't last all that long but make great coffee. Last one did 4 years before it failed. So cheap they are not worth fixing anyway. $224 on sale. It's a beauty!!

Big W is the best place to buy books at bargain prices. Usually good deals sell out very quickly. So I check before going if stock is available in store. I needed some books for a party giveaway and went to Big W Macquarie. The staff here were amazingly helpful in finding the required books for me, as I couldn't locate them despite trying. Two of the employees Michael and Vanessa went out of the way to help find the books. They were both so polite, empathetic as well as resourceful. They knew where exactly to look for the books I needed (in shelves as well as at the back of store). I feel that everyone in retail business should have the skills that these amazing employees at big W Macquarie have.

Went in to pick up 4 books that I had already bought online. Only one staff was available and there were 5-6 people in line. When I got to the front (and there were maybe 2people behind me) she was quick to get my books but only came back with 3 (as opposed to the 4 that I had ordered). Without explaining anything to me, she immediately started serving the next customer. I had to go back to ask why one of the books were missing and she told me to wait so she could finish serving the customer first??! She said it wasn't in stock, even though when I ordered, it said they had it at macquarie, and impatiently said there will be a refund which I have yet to receive. Clean store but bad experience.

Absolutely abysmal customer service. Couldn't find an item myself so I asked a staff member who told me it "might" be in the far back corner (it wasn't). Found the same staff member and told him it wasn't there and if he could please look it up, he said he's a bit busy. I then said if it's too hard I'll continue look for it myself. Only then did he look it up and it was in the complete opposite side of the shop. Paying for the large item at the self serve I waited more than 5 minutes for the staff member to finish chatting about the upcoming weekend, he only stopped when I said excuse me can you please sort out the bag error so I can pay and leave. To which he seemed quite inconvenienced by.

Initially I was served by a middle aged female staff with fair colour hair i should ask her name. Looked for a can of formula there was none on the shelf. I got an answer from this lady said they don't have stocks if i cannot find it on the shelf. However i could see they have stocks online in this store then i got an answer from her again said oh this is for pick up only. Well that means you do have stocks in store right?? I walked away as i knew she just lied and been lazy refused to help. Luckily I found another staff Vincent. He was so lovely for checking stocks on the store phone and went back to their warehouse finally found out a formula for me.Thanks for your help Vincent! :)

The staff were super helpful and amazing! I came in to purchase 2 things but ended buying more for my daughters little friend as it's her birthday. They have a huge range of toys, books and Nintendo switch games! The gentleman at the counter in the audio/visual counter was super nice while paying for the Nintendo switch game and then I went to the front of the store to pay for the remainder of gifts and the young lady was super nice. Mind you this was on Monday the 18th July, the last day of school holidays! Super busy but the staff were so kind and helpful!

I recently visited Big W and had a good shopping experience. The store has a wide selection of products at affordable prices, and the layout is easy to navigate. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the checkout process was quick and efficient. I appreciated the variety of products available, particularly the homeware and electronics sections, which had some great deals. The only downside was that some of the items I was looking for were out of stock or low in quantity, which was a bit disappointing.

BigW is my favourite supermarket. Even more now since they’re running sale. From shoes to toys, makeup to toilet, fashion to lingerie, outdoor activity options to pet food, they’ve got you covered. This outlet especially has huge stocks and you’ll find stuffs that’s unavailable in other outlets. Staffs are friendly and all of them smile at you and greet. I really like the stationary collection at this outlet and they’ve cutest girl outfits. Absolutely love going there and would recommend you too

This is a good store to spend time in. The greeter at the door is a lovely, friendly and helpful lady with a ready smile. The store is well laid out and well sign-posted. Staff are always helpful. I'm not crazy about the quality of the clothes though, though this is not this particular store's fault. However, it is the store I shop in and where I found today's shockers, pictured here. A sad reflection on the Big W company buyer and quality controller...

Poor service. I ordered a click and collect and it wasn’t ready the next day. I waited two days later and it wasn’t ready. I physically go to the store and they tell me to my face that they don’t have one of the items I ordered. I said okay and went to check one more time on the rack. Low and behold my item is sitting right there. I’m so furious. I literally picked my own item. Doesn’t deserve a star to be honest. Stop being lazy and get it together.

Tried to buy something on line, was going to pickup from store, when I went to pay, the site insists on name and address of purchaser. I don't understand why I was unable to proceed without supplying this information, which is superfluous to the actual purchase. If I have payed online why do they need any further information? All they need is to supply me with a receipt number so I can pickup my purchase. Stupid system.

A department store that never disappoints me. I see they stock the more difficult to find Thomas & Friend playsets Vs Kmart or Target. But still this store can suffer the Thomas stock empty peg syndrome Staff are always helpful and friendly. Never had any problems when items don’t scan at the checkouts. Staff quickly put in over ride codes and keep things moving. I just wish there was a BigW closer to home

Pros: What a big and beautiful shop. I bought sweaters, clothes, socks, toothbrush, needle, thread, utensils, bottle and furniture. All under one roof. You will find everything for everyone here from kids to moms to adults. Nice music to keep you chilled out in this big shop. Cons: Should have some resting/ seating places for customers as it takes lot of time to shop.

I went in to investigate the children's clothing. I'm looking for organic, natural fibre clothing NOT made in China. There is a range of organic cotton clothing under the label "Dymples," but it doesn't state where it was made, and when I asked the staff, they were not only oblivious but completely unhelpful. I guess that means a visit to KMart and Target. ‍♀️

Great service! This big W has amazing staff who care about their customers. I called up to place a few items on hold as it was the last ones and pickup was a breeze, quick and easy. Usually you can't find people at the service desk in other stores but while I was in line another rep came to assist me - so efficient! Thank you for making my shop much easier.

I was recently in the bicycle section and needed some help from the Manager Nick. Have to say he was fantastic. Really went out of his way to assist me and get me exactly what I was after. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Made the whole experience positive and enjoyable. What a great representative of the store. Reminded me of why I love Big W Macq.

All 3 supermarkets fairly close to each other, many ticketless 3hr parking options, close to metro trains and to buses, close to Shrimptons Creek shared pathway, close to Macquarie University, both BIGW and KMART, both Jb hifi and bing lee, both myer and David Jones, cinemas, lots of clothing, takeaway, discount variety, and others, etc, etc

Really great experience and customer service with Harry at the service desk this afternoon. Small wait (<2mins) as he was the only one working but efficient and patient with each customer. Helped me by getting my order in quick fashion, even though I had only ordered it a couple of hours earlier. I appreciate the help Harry!

There is no staff on the floor at all, can’t find a specific book we need, however it shows has in stock on their website. The staff at the register is very rude, saying it isn’t her fault that I can’t find a book. Very poor customer service! The book section is also very messy!

This Big W has stock the other Big Ws don't have like dog clothes and dog pads. I've had a mixed bag of services, some staff are over the top helpful and others do their job. They always answer the phone if you're after a particular stock - certainly a step up from Kmart.

This store is great and have been shopping here for years. However, terrible service on 4.11.22 by a rude Indian male employee at the self-checkout. If he can't provide any good service, he shouldn't be working there. ATTENTION Manager - more training in customer service.

Good alternative to Target if you wanna check out stuff at reasonable prices. Has everything one needs for personal needs. As with target, kmart and BigW, unbranded items sold are not going to be of lasting quality. Branded items are good as always.

Good experience as expected at Big W. A large store with plenty of selection and stock. Easy to navigate and the staff are helpful if needed. I often order online for Click & Collect but in-store shopping has been a pleasant experience as well.

Big W is great - nice, neat layout, plenty of range. I especially love their great, cheap fishing gear! A lot more relaxing than k-mart and the prices are pretty good. Only thing I don't like is a lack of actual humans in the checkout.

The tech person at the counter needs more training and be more aware of his surroundings. 1st time told me a product is out of stock when in fact it’s not. 5 mins later Pointed me to the wrong aisle. +1 for being well mannered

Big toystore and they have sale now. I just walked into the store to have a look at with my child...we end up bought 5 toys for $61...some of them are half price^_^ a lot of kids inside so there is no soical distancing...

Got most things you need to run a household. Easy to find things. Staff is helpful and promptly assist. Spacious enough to take your shopping trolley. Clean, bright and good music playing in the background too.

So unhappy purchased helium balloon tank and the helium is faulty, balloon blown up and will not float. Keep coming to the ground.Tried to call to advised and keep getting hung up on.
