Sorry to say, but for the premium we paid for the glamping tents (200$+ per night) is not worth it. I am currently inside it (July month, peak winter), and it feels like I am in a freezer right now. They only just have electric bed-sheets to protect you from the cold and unfortunately they don't even cover the whole bed. Result, it's freezing. An heater inside the tent was least expected. Big no for small kids. Also, no dedicated washrooms for glamping tents. Shared between a lot of tents. So, dont expect that to be clean. Not impressed. Updating based on the owner comments/reply - If we were supposed to go camping/glamping by our own, we should not had booked for your tents first of all. We had a small baby (less then 2 yrs) with us and we thought based on your description it will be a relaxing experience and good break for us. 1. It was not. 2. The heating system of the tent was inefficient. Just a heated bedsheet was provided which were not proper as it was not heating up a good 1 feet near the edges of the bed. So, it was very uncomfortable to sleep, especially near the head area. And do you expect everyone just to sit on the bed all the time, that's why you are not providing anything else in the room? You can update your page asking guests to get all the camping stuffs and sleeping bags in that case. 3. The tents were mouldy. And visibly mouldy. Not sure when it was last cleaned. 4. The so called (publicly accessible) private ensuites were just cleaned once a day. The logs are there in the washrooms for everyone to see as a proof. Even that is not done properly. Imagine multiple families using that, and it only gets cleaned once a day during the morning time. Is that the hygiene standard you provide in a private business?? 5. Our tent was unfortunately beside the makeshift toilets and the drainage was not proper for that, as you can notice water (or whatever) leakage coming to the area where people are supposed to walk. So, the whole area was utterly unhygienic. 6. Yes, because I paid 200$+ per night for this, least i expected was the place to be comfortable. When it was too cold, and as simple as a room heater not provided, I raised that. Seeing your reply seems like you need some more training in your customer interaction field and to learn how to take customer feedback positively. And ooh la laa!! to you too, hospitalibility business is not for everyone. Unfortunately that is not ok.

I'm not fond of caravan parks or organised camping but this location on the banks of Badger Creek was fantastic. We stayed for 6 days with three family groups aged 3-73 years. Five of us camped and the other two families stayed in one of the two renovated trams. There is a range of accommodation from Jayco cabins to log cabins, family yurts/glamping plus excellent powered and unpowered sites. There was plenty for children to do with two swimming pools, a dam for swimming, tennis courts and a well organised and designed set of play equipment. We camped in the open unpowered camping area and had plenty of room plus kangaroos grazing in the morning. Healesville is 5 minutes drive or 20 minutes cycling away with good shopping and a range of pubs and eateries. Healesville sanctuary and the Yarra Valley wine district are nearby and easy drives. The facilities were well serviced and regularly clean. There is also two large, open common areas with fridges and cooking facilities. There are a range of age groups. My advice to families is to manage your children as some of the teenagers were running amok in the swimming pools. There were also occasionally unattended toddlers and children under 12 walking on the driveways. Check it out. IAH

WOW! What a beautiful place to stay. Such brilliant service. I had booked glamping tents for the Friday evening, unfortunately circumstances changed and I could not make it there until Saturday. Not only did they honour my original booking they upgraded us to a 2 bdr cabin for the Saturday evening. I was so grateful. When we arrived, check in was so easy, friendly service. The cabin was ideally located on Badger Creek, the running water was so tranquil. The cabin itself was spacious, very clean, equipped with everything you need, warm, beds were SO comfortable, shower was hot.. We went for a walk around the park, such a fabulous atmosphere, children playing, parents laughing and chatting in the large shared areas. There were firepits raging around the area. Grounds were immaculate. I wish I could have stayed for a week! I'm visiting from Perth WA and this stay was certainly a highlight for me. Thankyou to staff and Management. Definitely highly recommended and hopefully I'll get the chance to return one day to experience this little piece of paradise again.

Wow! Sensational overnight stay in a stylishly refurbished tram! Just imagine - 3 bathrooms, 3 bedrooms, lounge and superb kitchen as well as deck with outdoor setting overlooking the Park. This Holiday Park is amazing with all its various styles of accommodation including glamping pods with ensuites and luxe cabins. By far my fave was the tram stay! I could not fault the provisions, the aircon and heating, the layout and attention to detail to remind people they are actually staying in a heritage tram. On arrival the staff were friendly and went out of their way to explain the holiday park's amenities. This is a real nature oasis with 65 acres of bushland, colourful birds and superb trees and flora. I am sure there was lots of wildlife but it was cold and wet when I stayed so I just tucked up in full comfort in the tram and marvelled at how they fitted everything in so nicely. I am definitely coming back with my grandchildren one day soon as I know they will love it and Healesville Sanctuary is just down the road. Bonus!

An easy getaway an hour from Melbourne. The park has two sections......an old and the new. The old section is lovely and surrounded by trees with lots of shade. The creek runs along it, although it’s not large or deep enough to swim it provides a great place for the kids to paddle around. The new section has been planned perfectly, the roads are concrete and each site has a grasses section and a concrete pad and the sites are generous in size. There are no shady spots and it feels a little clinical but the outlook onto the trees is lovely. The toilet blocks are AMAZING so clean and modern. The pump track is fantastic, the kids loved it. The jumping pillow was a hit with all the kids, the playground is lovely also. The tennis courts are a great addition too. There is a dam on site which wasn’t set up with water sports but looks like it would be amazing when operational. Feeding the birds was loved by all family members. Definitely would recommend staying here for families.

This was an absolutely spectacular park. I went with a friend who has an onsite van so I can't comment on the accommodation as such but what I can say is the park itself was outstanding. The facilities are top notch and you can tell upgrades occur all the time to ensure the park is maintained to such a high standard. I stay in many big 4 parks and this one has to be the best by far. My kids loved it and can't wait to go back. Next time I may take my van (rather than stay with in my friends onsite van) as the ensuite sites are incredible. I can not wait to visit again sooner, rather than later.

I booked a glamping pod for a night and it was so cute! Originally I was looking and about to book through airbnb but found it cheaper through the big 4 holiday park website. Was very easy to navigate and book. Got a call a few days before my stay to confirm the reservation and to answer any questions I may have. Smooth checkin in and checkout process. Had a parking spot right next to the pod. At night time you could hear the river as you slept. I was so surprised with how big the park was! And with how busy it looked, the quietness of the park and room was fantastic. Definitely will stay again and recommend. The pod was super cute , romantic, had a ensuite, tv, utensils, fridge and the bed was comfy and big which I was surprised again because of the size of the pod, but was cozy and exceeded my expectations!

We stayed at the new tram cabin which was super luxe and a really special experience. It was really well set up, with airconditioning for the hot days. The beds and pillows were really comfy. Nice fluffy bathrobes to wear after the private hot tub. We stayed at site 388, the quieter one and it was really private. We had a whole bunch of unexpected freebies when we arrived like lemonade, juices, wines and cheese which was a surprise. Kids loved it. Feeding the birds and rosellas were a highlight. The only feedback is that we ran out of cleaning supplies (chux, kitchen towels and dishwashing powder) with 2 families staying. But easily got more from reception. So many things to do in the park, we hardly left, for the whole weekend. Would come back again in a heartbeat.

What a magnificent place to relax & unwind. Our powered site easily accommodated our motor home and car and also provided plenty of shade on a hot day.No expense has been spared on the recently added area where the amenities and settings are both first class but also in keeping with nature. Michael (aka Kiss fan) was so friendly and helpful when we needed some assistance- would highly recommend and definitely comeback again.

I had a lovely time at this caravan park. I booked it as accommodation for a hen's party, after seeing the photos of the new superior family cabins online. The new cabins certainly are nicer than what you imagine when you think of a caravan park cabin. The finishes and fixtures were modern and stylish, and made us feel like it was more of a city apartment than a caravan park. The landscaping also seems quite new and is really nice amongst the existing trees. The only downside was that the cabin my friends stayed in had a couple of cleaning spots missed by the cleaner, like the areas of the sliding bathroom door that are visible when you close the bathroom door, which the cleaners mustn't do regularly.

  • Kate Kinsey

We have stayed here for years, and by far this is our favourite park. There is so much for the kids do to and the management go to so much effort to make sure there is enough on offer with free slushies, trivia nights etc to make everyone’s stay that much more enjoyable.

My stay at Big 4 Yarra Valley was extremely pleasant. The location is absolutely divine, you will experience nature at its finest and may be visited by local wildlife. We were lucky enough to see the kookaburras and Rosellas on our last day. This park is a great place to stay if you want to get away from the city but also have everything you need at your door-step. The staff are friendly and the accommodation was pristine. Everything about this place was special and I especially recommend it for families with children.

Big 4 Yarra Valley Lane Holiday Park was absolutely amazing! Friends and I stayed on a powered caravan/tent site and it was fantastic! Could not get over how clean the common bathrooms were, the common room was a big highlight with many BBQ's to use, a pool table, table tennis table and lots of places to eat/drink. The staff were lovely to deal with when we had 2 cars (only meant to have 1) and they were super polite and easy to talk to! My friends and I will definitely be back for an annual trip!

Very friendly and welcoming staff. Excellent range of facilities for the kids whether it is sunshine or solid rain. Heated pool was a hit while it rained on adult supervision. Serious coffee machine in the kiosk got a workout and was a welcome start to the day. Some camping sites I saw were a bit gravelly but that’s literally all I could fault it the entire place and to note our sites were actually luscious grass. Loved camping by the creek!

Our powered site was one of the largest we’ve ever stayed on, with ample room to set up our caravan, gazebo and plenty of room for the kids the play. The facilities were beautiful and so well looked after. It was almost as if we weren’t camping! The staff were beyond helpful. We had the best time and will be back for sure!

Experience the beauty of nature in its purest form at BIG4 Yarra Valley Park Lane Holiday Park. With ample space and impeccable cleanliness, this park offers a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. We've stayed here twice now and it just keeps getting better. The toilet/shower facilities are the best I've ever seen (newly renovated, warm floors, music throughout the night), the new camp kitchen and fire pit area are amazing, and having the option to book an en-suite site (especially with young children) is extremely helpful. Great campsite/caravan park. We were first allocated a campsite that wasn’t particularly nice (hard and rocky) so went back to reception to ask to move and they were so lovely about it. Ended up with a gorgeous little spot by the river and we had the best time. My 5 year old daughter loved the pool, jumping pillows, riding around on her bike and feeding the parrots. Facilities were all clean and worked well. Will definitely be back.

We stayed at the park for 3 nights, we were in the older section of the park which felt like it was etched into the bush, absolutely beautiful. The site itself was spacious, but a little uneven meaning our annex wasn't able to be set up properly, no biggie though. The kids enjoyed the park and pump track, and the creek running alongside the park was delightful. Amenities were clean, no issues at all with nice hot showers.

Big 4 downplays it's 3 star stay at Healesville. The site is very accommodating and extremely family/kid friendly. There is so much to do for the kids and accomodation comes in so many alternatives. Nice place to spend a few days with family and friends. The park is next to a creek with friendly ibis and Rosella parrots. Well located in Yarra is close to Healsville and attractions in the area. Good kitchen and clean toilette and showers. The only drawback was the camping site overcrowded in the first day we arrived and one of the restroom was out of order.
