Went there today,,, September 28th. it was alright in the beginning asking standard questions about covid. I had a gentleman before me wanted to deposit checks. We both entered at the same time. I was waiting in line and the branch only had 3 customers including me. Two tellers working only while rest of the staff just walked around. There was one staff member went outside and brought their baby in the branch while I was still waiting in the line. Staff got excited to see their co-workers kid. Later a gentleman appeared from a cabin(may be a manager) and started giggling at the same time forgetting there are customers waiting in the line. Outside the branch there were 3 more customers lined up. One of the laziest employees was constantly looking at her wrist watch ⌚ when the time clicks 4 pm so they can get rid of people. The entire team SUCKED big time. They all need training and basic etiquette to respect people's time. Will close the account soon as your business doesn't deserve my business. Outside of the branch says Canada's oldest Bank since 1817. Well train your staff accordingly if you want to hold the flag high for Canada's oldest running bank. Peace and be safe
I had a terrible experience at BMO Westbrook. The lady that was supposed to open up the bank account didn’t have enough experience. It took about 2 hours to create a bank account. She couldn’t figure out the mandatory fields, blamed on the computer system and 3 times she went and asked her colleague to help her!!! I was frustrated and she tried to be funny instead of solving the problem asking about my vacation plan, weekend plan!!! A few days later she called me to come back to the branch and sign some paper because she didn’t enter my title correctly, on some paper she used a different title than others!!! So I had to go back and sign the paper!! It’s been more than 3 months that she was supposed to mail me a copy of the signed paper and I haven’t received anything yet! For the first time I learned how a “terrible customer experience” feels!!!
0 stars would have been my first option.. Very very slow, I remember a lineup and 2 people were helping customers and a 3rd that was definitely needed was just sitting there. Also they never answer their phones and they desperately need to fix their phone system, when you call it asks if you want to speak to an agent or if you know the first initial to key it in, so instead of them giving you the option to hit say 0 to go to an agent, you have to wait for it to say I didnt understand your selection twice then it sends you to an agent.... So dumb and to top it off their banking hours are the worst, this world is a little to busy to be able to make it places at 5pm and its sad they open at 10 pm, clearly they are only and just barely capable of working 7 hours, I think it's about time I look into making a TD account or a Scotiabank account.
After 4 months of issues at BMO Market Mall, I walked into Westbrook BMO with a "last ditch effort" mentality, fully prepared to change to a new bank the same day. Within 1 hour the staff corrected all my account issues (accounts weren't linked correctly, online banking wasn't working, and overall poor customer service received from other branches). I thought it was too good to be true, but honestly the service was amazing. While waiting for one of the kind associates to finish speaking with a BMO phone-rep regarding my account situation, one of the bank tellers checked up on me to ensure I was being taken care of. If you're a BMO customer, these guys know what they're doing.
My father recently passed away and his bank account was with BMO. As the appointed Executor, covid-19 made it tricky to find childcare (non existent) during the process of closing accounts and estate meetings. Matin Puiesht was knowledgeable and friendly throughout the process and patient with my self and my young children at each of our visits. I am very impressed with his professionalism, great attitude in dealing with a hard topic, and overall his and the branch’s steps in making the banking experience as comfortable and safe during these unprecedented times. If you are a BMO client and in the area, I would highly recommend doing your banking with this branch.
I would give a 0 star rating if Google Reviews allows for it. When I first tricked into upgrading my existing card to the World Elite CashBack card, I was promised eligibility to more perks than the card was actually eligible for. For example, the banking adviser told me that I would receive 4 complimentary lounge passes when that is only reserved for the "World Elite card" and NOT the "World Elite CashBack card". I had even asked the adviser at the time regarding the differences of the two cards and she could not tell me any. This unprofessional conduct of the staff reflects the lack of training and quality control of this BMO Branch.
The 37st branch in Calgary is terrible. Never able to get someone on the phone, and they never call back. Called the 1-888... number on the back of my Debit card for help with online banking, and the wait time was 4 hours. This is absolutely unacceptable. There is no excuse for this complete lack of Customer service. I will be moving my accounts to another bank ASAP, after being with BMO for more than 25 years. Please, 'big banks', try to make more of an effort to support your customers. This is a sad state of affairs.
6 empty computers and one single girl to help a line of people. Locked out of online banking, have spent over 3 hours on hold trying to get through to someone with no success, wasted gas visiting two branches who tell me I need to call and wait on hold. Can't cancel your BMO MasterCard in the BMO branch... Can't get you back into your online banking. ***DO NOT*** get a BMO MasterCard. It is a waste of your time and money.
I went into the branch today to get a letter for my mortgage and was beyond frustrated with not the branch but my mortgage broker (not BMO). Glenda, the branch manager was incredible, helpful and calmed down my crazy (So sorry-Building a home is stressful stuff argh). I will be back and thinking of now changing my bank to BMO because of my service today. Thank you Glenda!
They out right refused service to me and when they thought I was gone they stood around and made fun of me for 10 minutes. I will be lodging a formal complaint to bmo head office on monday. This kind of service is out right wrong and I urge anyone who has had similar issues to do what I do and see they are held accountable.

This BMO used to be good, its been my home branch for 15+ years. Sadly the customer service is so poor and the branch manager at this location is rude, doesn't listen and completely incompetent. I am moving banks and will be lodging an official complaint with their head office.
always busy and always slow. they always seem to have just one teller open all day. even when there’s six clients waiting in line they will just look up and go back pretending they’re typing something busy. they don’t work like they are open for business. very depressing
I asked to speak to branch manager to go over a bank draft. I was told he's busy. His voicemail says call you back within the end of the day never heard for any days after that. I think any BMO center other than this one is better
Just switched to BMO and this specific location is unreal! The service is quick and efficient and the teller lady's are overly nice in the best way! They go above and beyond and I'm so happy I made the switch :)
This is the absolute worst BMO branch! Don't ever call them for assistance because they NEVER pick up the phone!!! And leaving a voicemail is also pointless because they NEVER return your call!!!
I never experienced such terrible service in Canada. Give me wrong information result in my account deduction, I complained to the manager but nobody called me back to response the complaint.
