Worst bank I have dealt with. Online banking is terrible and not user friendly. I have been trying to change banks online to set up auto pay and they keep rejecting my payment. I get hung up on when trying to resolve it and the customer service people have know idea how to make it work. I have accually been on the phone with them setting it up and it still doesnt go through. WORST OF THE WORST. Stay away from them.

This one star is only because you can't give negative ones. 1.5 stars overall is way to many. Their customer service is horrible Their Main Corporate number has rang busy for 4 hours - really. The branches tell you they can access accounts - but then can't, so they send you to the Customer Service Center, that sends you back to the branch. What a nightmare.

Extremely long wait times to reach a support rep. On several occasions, the issue (incorrect billing) was not resolved, but the support staff simply lied to get me off the phone. It usually takes 3-4 calls to resolve an issue. Arguably, Bank of the West provides the worst customer support of any bank I have ever dealt with.

They didn't tell me that when I applied for and got a secured loan by a CD that after you pay off the loan you have to wait 3 to 5 days for the funds to be released. (I gave them cash too, to pay off the loan). I talked to everyone I could, and they just gave me the runaround.

Not a good bank to grow your money.
