I would like to start off by saying that I am not the type of person to complain about something like this and another fact that i am a POC. I was publicly embarrassed at this bank by a worker. I do not have an account there, but needed to cash my work checks. I was in this specific branch last week to cash work checks and all was needed was my valid California state ID. But today the teller, i believe his name is Henry, felt the need to contact my employers directly to make "ensure I had the right to deposit these checks." My name on the check is identical to the name on my California state ID. Furthermore he did not ask for my permission to contact my employer and proceeded to ask me questions that did not pertain to the transaction (SSI, phone number). This was one of the most unprofessional acts I have ever been shown in an establishment and I was very embarrassed. Having been there a week ago and having no issues I am highly upset.

The experience at this branch is terrible if you have to deal with Bill Gardner - he is rude, unhelpful and lacking basic manners. He has no interest in treating existing Bank of the West customer with any sense of respect and does not care if the bank loses a customer because of his behavior. If you goto the branch and face him, do yourself a favor and walk to the branch on Montgomery Street and you will get a much better service.

Terrible customer service! Correction- NO customer service!
