I pop into the shop at the BP filling station every so often and it's quite uncanny how they're always so friendly and willing to help. The only downside is the sometimes long wait in the queue to pay. One cash office deals with all the takings, from fuel and shop sales. Possibly because of previous threats, the cashiers are behind glass windows with a box underneath the counter that you put your items into with the cash and it moves backwards and forwards with change being issued and your items bagged. It slows the process down and makes it a less friendly interaction. Crime is a reality in our country and no-one is safe, least of all those that work in a garage environment 24 hours a day.

What a pathetic business. Inefficient, disingenuous and not particularly interested in giving decent service to customers. I refused to pay R95 for a wash & go. When I asked for the manager, she said it would be ok for me to pay R90 as the sign outside the wash station indicated. When I then wanted to pay, I was told the car wash is a cash-only service and that I wouldn't be able to use my card to pay. I walk out instead. I won't support that kind of business. I don't consider myself a desperate customer. I refuse to use such a business. What a waste of my time. Why are prices at the car wash not properly and professionally indicated? Why are the staff and management so poor trained?

I avoid using this garage for a few reasons but everytime im forced to due to the need for fuel at the time im forever dissatisfied. The attendants take their sweet time to serve you. They will have a fat chat with their colleagues before walking over to help you and even once helping you they walk like they have absolutely no will to be there. Very unprofessional and would definitely not recommend using them. Rather save yourself the time and frustration and use a different fuel station.

If I could give this station -10 stars I would. What an inefficient, incompetent and unprofessional station. Be prepared to always wait a while to get served, on one occasion they refused to sell me petrol past 12 am even though I reinforced that I urgently needed to get to the hospital. Not to mention, they don’t have a scan to option. And lastly, your management and staff are rude and ineffective. I’m blown away that you’re still standing and I will certainly never use you again.

Sadly my first time ever posting a negative Google review. Very unfriendly/unhelpful staff in the shop when I tried to pay for a car wash. Also the car wash accepts CASH ONLY as payment. Seems dodgy as a business practise, and also un-Covid-friendly in a time when almost everyone has moved away from cash - providing credit card or other cashless methods.

Poor forecourt service and it is abundantly clear that the apartheid era mentality is still very much entrenched here with Black African men/staff almost reverential in asking white people whether they want the windscreen cleaned whilst Black people like I are almost ignored to the extent that I see myself as a nuisance.

I brought back gas bottles for a refund on the deposit and they refused to refund one because it was grey, except I got the same bottle from a BP! Then they claimed that the other BP should have not given it to me. The inconsistency between the different BPs is unacceptable.

Although the shop at this BP is not so magnificent, I love coming to this BP purely because of the service and staff. No matter what time of day it is or whether it is a public holiday I am always greeted, asked how I am and how my day is going while fulling up on petrol.

This is the last petrol station I will ever use to fill-up, whenever I use to go there, the staff take there time in assisting esp in the morning when you want to just fill-up and go,, Staff needs to shape up and work faster! No use you friendly but slow...Time is money

Your terrible petrol joggie staff actually asked for a bride and my cellphone before wanting to assist me in gaining petrol. It is unacceptable how they acted and I will be taking this to the head office. They laughed and refused service to a customer.

Worst bp garage l ever seen.the petrol staff dont recognise black people.l waited for 30 minutes and they were just looking at me.they were no other cars but they were just looking at me chatting until l left to bp newlands were l managed to get fuel.

WORSE GARAGE EVER!!! The attendants have major attitudes but I suppose its based on managements attitude. You come to this GARAGE and feel like you are an inconvenience when in FACT you are the reason the business exists and profits.

I went to fill up after an entire flock of birds decided to use my car as a toilet along with the berries they were snacking on. I got my petrol and a personal car wash from two attendants. Thanks guys you were real life savers

Nice big BP ... problem is it's quite inaccessible due to the heavy traffic. Lots of U-turns involved if you're heading in the wrong direction. Has a Tracker Selftest facility and provides Oryx Gas, amongst other facilities.

Every time I go to this BP garage it's like they don't recognize black people as customers...... They save white people giving them first priority... It's like they discuss with each before coming to you.. Very Bad service

The poorest service you will ever get at a service station. Sitting waiting as the clock ticks by while the two attendants on duty wander around in a dwaal. Self service would be so much better...

BP Claremont, teach your employees to respect the customers going into the shop. Staring straight at your customers bum as they walk in is extremely disgusting and disrespectful. Euw

Renovations are completed and forecourt is clean and spacious. Loyalty points swipe machine wasn't working and there was no other way to credit points from the fill-up

Well - it's obvious really - I needed petrol and they supply it! Also conveniently located on Main Road and Aphiwe, my attendant, was really pleasant and helpful.

Staff are very slow...been there a few times around 6.30am and one always wait. Even if there are 1 or 2 cars you can find only 1 attendant don't understand why.

Average service experience. Not very well stocked shop and very inaccessable, one has to turn across oncoming traffic to get to the garage from the opposite side

Service is average. If you arrive at around 7am in the morning you can get fresh pies and pastries. The specials are great.

1 hour for a wash and dry for R85. That was with 1 car ahead of me. It gets 2 stars because the pies are always fresh.

The staff are really amazing here. The shop stocks the necessities and you can buy gas here, for your braai or oven.
