Please make sure to call your insurance provider before going to this office. We were deceived! A couple months ago I scheduled an appointment for the patient over the phone with Zayra the receptionist who assured me that they were in-network with the patient's dental insurance plan. They told us at the appointment that everything was covered in full. The dentist said a treatment was need, I knew that it was covered, they said that it was and it was done. The insurance plan, when in-network, covers everything in full. The way that they were adamant about me having to pay if the Insurance didn't, made me suspicious. Dr. Choi also stressed on the payment, so I called the insurance company, and was informed that the procedure was not fully covered because that office was out-of-network. I spoke to Zayra who was still insisting that they were in in network with the insurance and she told me that she has been doing this job for 40 years. Forty years, and you don't know what insurance company your office/dentist is in-network with? An employee from the insurance company called BxDental and informed them that they were out- of- network. We received a bill, and because we were misinformed, the insurance decided to pay it. If they can't be forthcoming with simple information, then we can't trust them with our dental care.

I came to BX Dental after experiencing issues with a tooth and being told I could not be seen sooner by the dentist I was currently seeing. I called Dr. Choi’s office on thanksgiving hoping to leave a message due to believing the office would be closed, to my surprise he called back and I was able to be seen a few days later (and more than a week before the other office could see me) and the atmosphere of his clinic and the warmth that he and his staff showed has made me switch over and I couldn’t imagine going anywhere else. He is very honest and approachable and takes his time to explain all procedures and expectations and the comfort above all else makes going to the dentist a happier ordeal. I still have some treatments to finish but all the routine cleanings have been amazing and I’ve been fully satisfied and recommending the office to anyone who needs a dentist who cares and who has amazing staff that make you feel welcomed and safe above all else. 10s across the board!

I've been to many dentists over the years, but Dr. Choi is by far the best of them all. It is apparent in everything that Dr. Choi does that he truly cares for his patients and has a passion for helping people. When I visited his office, he took as much time as necessary to answer all my questions and to explain in detail exactly what he was doing and why he was doing it. His staff have the same selfless character that he does, which creates a very welcoming environment in the office. The receptionist here is also very kind and is really helpful when working out payment. I can't recommend Dr. Choi and BX Dental enough!

Dr.Choi and his staff are absolutely amazing. He’ll explain the entire process to you and ease all of your concerns. I’ve gotten crowns, fillings, root canals, etc. from him and he is, by far, the best dentist I’ve ever been to. As someone who hates needles and going to the dentist, I really appreciate having a doctor that is not only kind and compassionate but who is also very darn good at his job. Absolutely love Dr. Choi and his team!! He makes going to the dentist feel so much more enjoyable and is very passionate for the work he does. This is by far the BEST dentist i've ever been to . DR Choi was very informative/ warm and caring throughout my whole visit. I'm a person who was formerly afraid of Dentists prior to this visit . I had a wisdom tooth removed and didn't feel a thing Dr Choi was very quick in pulling the tooth talking me through every step. I've definitely found my forever Dentist. The BEST dentist ever!!! I used to always be nervous before visits but Dr. Choi is so nice, gentle, and PATIENT! You can tell he cares for all his patients and even if its a busy day for him you’d only know because of the amount of people in the waiting room not because he rushes your appointment which is amazing in the city. All staff are also excellent and caring, not a single complaint which again is rare for the Bronx. Office is very clean and welcoming. 12/10

Dr. Choi is a true professional! It had been years since I've seen a dentist and honestly felt embarrassed for neglecting my dental hygiene for so long. Dr. Choi made me feel very comfortable and did great work on cleaning my teeth and replacing old fillings for me. He is also a true proponent of educating his patients to make better decisions and creating better long lasting habits. I highly recommend BX Dental!

Have been going to this Office for over 15 years, and continued to go when Dr. Choi took it over. he is very friendly, personable and does great and long lasting work!!!! Takes the best approachs to handle all my dental needs. Dr. Choi is an amazing dentist. Not only is he thorough in examinations and cleanings, He also helped fixed my bottom teeth that have suffered from stains since I was young. It was completely painless and now I can smile bigger and brighter knowing my teeth will no longer be discolored. My experience with Dr. Choi has been wonderful especially me that's very scared of going to the dentist.He made me feel very comfortable and explains everything he's going to do step-by-step which is so helpful. Everyone at the office is really nice and professional. Dr. Choi has such an energetic and loud (in a good way) personality, that I wasn’t expecting but pretty cool to see.
