It was my first and last time coming to the backstage cafe on Vokiečių str. I wanted to know why everybody is obsessed with this place and I still don’t know why. It was a very unpleasant experience - very bad customer service, poor quality of food and bad manners. So I am just going to mention some things that didn’t work well in this place: 1) From the moment when my friend and I stepped into the cafe, we saw that it was very busy and we thought that we got so lucky because someone was leaving, so we took their place but unfortunatelly waiters couldn’t even clean and wipe the table properly, they just took the dishes and left. 2) Then when I went to the counter to order food and drinks, the ginger-haired waitress asked me where we sit, I said there and I pointed (next to the window) and she was like where?! ( she asked with very unpleasant tone like I would have known what number that table had) - next to the window. 3) I ordered 2 porridges with apple jam and homemade nutella, a cappucino and a matcha latte. The waitress warned us that we will have to wait for the porridges for 30 minutes, we got it after 40 minutes instead. Anyway, the other waiter he brought my matcha to the table and a spoon as well ( and it’s good to mention that the table was 2 steps away from the counter) but he couldn’t bring a coffee to my friend which we both found it weird. So it seemed that everything he was doing for the customers, he wasn’t enjoying it or even trying to be nice and polite. After 40 minutes, we received our porridges and when we tried it was the most bizzare and digusting combination ever. If you tried to eat each topping separately, we would rate like 4/10 but if you tried apple jam, homemade nutella and porridge all together, it tasted absolutely horrible. We wondered if the chef actually tried that porridge or not before putting that dish on the menu. The homemade nutella was definitely burnt and gave very bitter flavour. The apple jam was quite sour, so the whole dish was very disbalanced and we couldn’t finish it at all. Luckily when we talked with the other waitress with black hair, she offered us a full refund which was a good manner from her side. 4) Although when we packed and we were about to leave, we went to the counter to receive the money and we were shocked again about the waitress with ginger hair. She put money on the counter, she even didn’t look at me, didn’t say anything, she even didn’t apologise or something, she even didn’t say goodbye. We were so shocked with this service and especially her manners, she could have said at least something but she acted so rude and disrespectful. We understood it wasn’t the waiters’ fault about the food but at least they could have been polite. We don’t recommend this place. A star is only for drinks which weren’t that bad. That’s all.

Everyone was suggesting me this place for the breakfast in the old town. I have booked the table. When I can I still needed to a stay in the line to order. 2 people before us and It took 23 min just to get to the menu and than to order. When I said that I have booked the table they were confused as nobody knew which table to give. They were 4 near the bar. Ok the style of the barista or cashier it’s the Choise of the place, but it looks weird. About the food , please do not order omelet kimchi - it’s so terrible , scrambled eggs also is really poor. From the dishes only side avacado was good. I can say the V60 coffee was good , nice well prepared , good quality of coffee beans. Anyways to finalize : will never recommend this place to anyone. Totally disappointing place

The atmosphere is perfect. Music is not too loud or quiet, definitely able to hold a conversation while listening to the music. Ordered the savory scone. There's tomatoes, cheese, and scallions in the scone. Made to perfection! So good I bought one to go for later. My friend bought the cinnamon roll. That was also light and the spices were amazingly balanced. Lastly for food, my friend had the brownie. The chocolate was dense and not overly sweet. If looking for chocolate, the brownie was chocolate heaven. I had the rosemary with honey latte to drink. The flavors are very delicate and fun on the palate. My friend had a latte - it also was wonderful.

Pasiule pamirsus irankius paduoti per langa (sedejome lauke), laukeme, kad kazkas paduotu, bet taip ir nepadave. Negi atmintis gali atsiminti ne daugiau nei 5 sekundes ir tiesiog iskart viska pamirsti? Maistas irgi labai brangus, bet nevertas demesio :) Kiausiniene kainuoja beveik 10e, bet vaizdas toks, lyg ja butu kepes pradinukas :) Visiskai be jokio "dziazo", kitoniskumo, kas jau yra iprasta pusryciu vietose. Vienintelis geras dalykas yra cinamonines bandeles, bet, deja, viso negerumo vien jos kompensuoti negali :)

Maistas ir kava labai kokybiški, tačiau tikrai turite problemų tiek su aptarnavimu, tiek su reikiamų produktų palaikymu. Dėl aptarnavimo: neturėtų būti taip, kad skambinant rezervuoti staliuką net 4 kartus (tarpai tarp skambučių 30 min-2 val), niekas niekada neatsiliepia ir net neperskambina. Savaitgalio brunchui dėl šitos priežasties teko rinktis kitą vietą. Dėl reikiamų produktų palaikymo: turbūt nėra normalu beveik niekada (bent jau kiek teko užeiti būtent į vokiečių g kavinę, tikrai ne 1 ir ne 2 kartai) neturėti tokių elementarių dalykų kaip ledukai ar matcha. Kad ir kaip patiktų Jūsų kavinių aplinka, maistas ir gėrimai, dėl šių įvykių tenka rinktis kitas kavines ir net nebesinori bandyti eiti pas Jus, kad vėl nepatirčiau nusivilimo.

This is by far my favourite café in Vilnius! The best coffee, all-time best cinnabons, delicious simple food and great vibe! The palace is the victim of its success and busy all the time. You can reserve a table, which I believe they should discontinue as when people are late, others are waiting while those tables are empty. So that's an area for improvement, I would just not take any reservations and serve people as they come. The place is dog friendly which you can already tell by their logo. The coffee is awesome as they roast it in-house. Choose from filter coffee brewed in different styles, should it be V60, cold brew, aeropress, you name it. You can also buy coffee in beans on-site. Great place for breakfast. Sandwiches, pastry, shakshuka, salads, etc. Cinnamon rolls are to die for!!

I really like it there and I’ve been twice during my trip because they have delicious cinnamon buns! I think one of the best in Vilnius, it goes really well with oat latte - coffee quality is great! And the Tiramisu Their vegan grilled sandwich was also delicious! Yum Two issues I have with this problem: 1) the first day I went there at 2:00 pm and they didn’t have cinnamon buns anymore. 2) the stuff on the first day wasn’t friendly at all… I was standing in front of the counter, and all stuff were behind the counter, doing other stuff like coffee, and cleaning, or serving… but no one acknowledged my presence, nor asked me to wait for a short moment… :(

Absolute disaster. Our order (in English) arrived totally wrong. First we were served drinks from the neighbouring table, which we of course tried in our tiredness. Then the big confusion and new coffees for the people sitting next to us. Finally our drinks arrive. A Classy Milly Cacao is brought with oat milk instead of regular milk. From the freshly squeezed orange juice, I was allowed to fish out the seeds of the orange with a specially ordered spoon. Last but not least, instead of four chicken sandwiches, four tuna sandwiches were served. Just as well no one is allergic to fish or tuna. Overpriced, faulty delivery and cramped seating in a crowded and hectic cafe. Thanks, but we had a better idea of what a morning would be like.

This cafe turned out to be something very special because of its atmosphere and very tasty, high quality Americano. Just a perfect start of the morning if you enjoy a breakfast with eggs and avocados. They have several varieties of them and very yummy toast.

I like a short and surprising menu for breakfast. Outside the standard eggs and bacon, you can find Kimchi omelette, eggs in sour cream (dill pickles were the bomb) and beef brisket sandwich. Execution was solid, lacking a touch of seasoning on my part or more restrain on the over generous bread accompaniment, which felt a bit stogy in part. Service was super friendly although why it’s a self service order situation, with so much staff on the floor, is a mystery.

Eggs Fried in Sour Scream

We've been coming to Vilnius every month for about a year now, and this place is always a must for breakfast! Our favorites are the Avocado toast, Cinnamon buns, eggs on sour cream, and sour dough sandwiches. They also serve V60 and other coffees and freshly pressed orange juice. I hardly ever write a review, but I just had to. It's always packed and the easiest way to reserve a table is walk by the night before and make a reservation. Highly recommend!

Ok, i have been to this place 4 times. Not a single time have i got what i ordered, always items missing / handed to someone else. The service is a total mess. They split the order in 3 parts? They give you your pastry instantly, you are supposed to go get your coffee yourself (if someone didnt steal it by then?) + you already ate the pastry without a hot drink. The main? What main? It never arrives. (They say they bring it to your table) The food & coffee are awesome. If and when they do arrive.

Food and atmosphere I like. Despite being busy it s a rather relaxing place. I ordered coffee and oats. Coffee was served directly. However, it took them almost 25 minutes (i came to the counter 20 min after the coffee was served) to make my oats for breakfast. Breakfast menu is supposed to be fast served. Overall I like it, but if oats take 25 min to be served, maybe change the menu to offer something that takes less time.

Went there on a friday evening and it was great! Nice atmosphere and amazing coffee (delicious sandwiches too!!). The barista was super helpful and nice when I wasn't sure what I wanted to drink. The only thing I have noticed there is that no matter when I visit there seem to be problems with the bathroom (it seemed to be leaking as there was a huge puddle on the floor), but apart from that, I'd give it an 11/10

This coffee place is quite popular about their cinammon buns and I had to try it! It didn't disappoint me! The cinnamon bun was quite tasty, and it was quite different than a traditional cinammon bun. It was filled with cream cheese, which was yum. what really blowed my mind was the tiramisu- which was pure perfection! Very creamy and rich! I loved it. Also, their coffee is very good! This place was one of my favorite in the city!

Located in the heart of the old town. This amazing cafe have 2 more places in the beautiful neighborhood Naujamiestis. The coffee here is very tasty, in my opinion the best in Vilnius. The food is simply delicious, bread that they bake and making sandwiches super tasty. Beets, mozzarella, tuna and more. If you want more like main dish they have great Shaksuka, avocado toast or scrambled eggs. I tried all of the main dishes and it so special and tasty ! Again the vibe is fantastic and staff very professional and friendly. Highly recommend !

The branding of this café originally caught my eye. I came after a heavy lunch, so I just wanted an espresso and a small sweet treat. I was happy that they had a small cardamom bun, and the dark roast espresso was wonderful. The place was packed and it was quite warm inside, but sitting by the window cooled me down quickly. I would love to come back one day and buy a bag of beans.

Was expecting a lot after trying their brunch at the other location but it was quite disappointing. The sour-cream-cooked egg sounded like a farmer’s market dream but it was overcooked and the greens felt unbalanced. The shakshuka wasn’t great either. The staff looked frazzled and the tables weren’t really clean. Banoffee pie was amazing though and the location is good, but the breakfast dishes need some work.

Ordered lemon grass tea and 15 minutes later, was told there was no lemon grass. Ordered a mint tea instead and waited another 15 minutes, asked about my tea and it was forgotten... so about 40 minutes for an herbal tea. No apologies, no compensation, no accountability... Do better.

Ne tai kad užsisakius sumuštinį teko laukti valandą laiko kol jį pašildys,teko priminėti darbuotojams kad vis dar laukiam savo užsakymo, nes mat mergina dirbusi negirdėjo kad užsakėm sumuštinį nors viskas įmušta buvo ir sumokėta, tai dar išlaukus valandą atneša ne tą ką užsisakei. Maistas skanus bet aptarnavimas labai prastas, niekas nežino kas ką užsisakė, spėlioja ar tas žmogus užsisakė.

Matcha latte ir desertai buvo labai skanus, bet aptarnavimas nuvylė... Garsiai per visą salę pasakoti koks "užsiknisimas" dirbti savaitgali ir trenkti stiklinę, kad net kava pro šalį išpylė... Ir tas nepatenkintas tonas su visais...

Tikrai skani kava, meniškai elegantiškas senamiesčio interjeras, įdomūs ir skanūs desertai. Čia aguonų pyragas, dar į kadrą nepateko pyragas su pekano riešutais - faina, kai ieškai nenuobodaus, bet neperspausto eksperimentais deserto. Grįšim ragauti kitų skanumynų! Na, tik staliukus būtų gerai sutvirtinti, mes netyčia pasirinkom tokį, kuris klibėjo, ir dalis kavos išsiliejo...

Klimat jak to w kawiarniach, które można znaleźć co jakiś czas - przyjemny, ale niczym nie wyróżniający się. Nie wiem dlaczego, ale na głównym menu nie chwalą się możliwością zaparzenia kawy metodami alternatywnymi. Niestety zauważyłem już po zamówieniu. Kawa też ok. Ogólnie, na krótką chwilę odpoczynku jak najbardziej daje radę!

Nesu matęs blogesnio aptarnavimo. Visiškas nesusigaudymas tarp užsakymų, neperdedu - 6 kartus buvo prieita prie staliuko pasitikslinti, ko dar trūksta. Pasiūlius pagaliau pasižymėti - jokios reakcijos. Kavos laukėme apie valandą. Galiausiai, kava buvo paduota per langelį. Aiškinama apie savo čekučių sistema, kuri neveikia, nes čekučiai pametami ir sumaišomi.

Great coffee and delicious fresh pastries. Cinamon bun tasted as if it was home made, a scone was crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside - as it should be. Next time I would definitely order from the brunch menu. Reservation is highly recommended as there are not many tables.

Кофе обычный. Больших размеров капучино нет(а латте есть). В чем логика? Почему нельзя купить чашки побольше и делать большой размер капучино? Ждать свой заказ пришлось около часа, весьма недешево при этом. Есть места вкуснее и получше в Вильнюсе , буквально через дорогу

Very nice vibe in this cafe! Simple but stylish interior. A lot of light inside. Our breakfast was delicious. One of the best shakshukas I’ve ever had! The cinnamon bun was mouthwatering and matcha latte was on point. Avocado toast and curd pancakes were good as well. Definitely recommend visiting if you wanna spend a great peaceful time.

Overpriced, small portions but delicious food. I felt like it is a kids menu. Cinnamon bun didn’t feel like it was fresh.

I used to love this place. But this time when I came I could not order three different drinks because they did not have the ingredients. They were out of lime, carbonated water, batch brew. After 10 minutes trying to order they told us that we cannot pay by card. There is place for improvement :)

Labai skanūs sumuštiniai ir bandelės. Deja dažnai atėjus tenka apsisukti ir išeiti - staliukai visi užsėsti žmonių su kompais, kurie geria tik vandenį ir tikriausiai sėdi ne vieną ir ne dvi valandas, "darbas iš kavinės".

Part of my morning routine is to get a coffee at this fabulous place. The staff is phenomenal - very friendly and professional. True specialty coffee gem! The only downside, no sweet vegan treats to get with your cuppa. Although, a great range of plant-based milk alternatives!

Jauki atmosfera. O dėl gėrimų kažkaip nepasisekė. Iš arbatų buvo likusios tik dvi, atnešė labai per stipriai pritrauktą. Vėliau pamėginau savaitės kavą su burokėlių milteliais. Po kelių gurkšnių tiesiog jauti, kad burna pilna miltų, nebeįmanoma gert pasidarė.

Labai skani kava ir dar skanesnė cinamono bandelė - dieviška tiesiog. Bet gaila, kad jau 11val. ryto nebeturėjo avokado toast... Kuris (kiek supratau) yra jų populiariausias pusryčių patiekalas. Tai žinant, galbūt reikėtų truputį padidinti jo kiekius.

The matcha is great, so are the sandwiches! Most baristas are also really nice and it is a great place to study or brunch.

Шашкуша не вкусная вообще, для такой цены одно яйцо и куча томатной пасты с небольшим количеством овощей, вкусным из этого блюда был только хлеб! Матча латте и само место приятные, что не обосновывает желание прийти поесть еще раз.

Selbstbedienung, aber es dauert 15 Minuten, bis die Bestellung aufgenommen wird, obwohl nur 2 Personen vor mir sind. Und weitere 15 bis ein Cappuccino und ein Tee (beides gut) gebracht werden... Lime Pie leider viel zu süß.

Good coffee, tasty food (cookies a bit dry tho, could be more chewy). Gets busy on weekends and I was told that waiting time for food is 40 min but got mine after 25min! Nice

Nice place with coffee and breakfast/ snacks/ desserts. I found it too loud, as for working spot.

Modern place. Sadly, its very overcrowded on weekends so hard to find space inside. Haven’t tried food but coffee is very nice as well as the staff there.

We love this place - favorite breakfast spot! The coffee is amazing, tasty shakshuka and avocado toast and the cinnamon buns are super fluffy. Go there!

Chai Latte ir kakava nieko skonio. Labai brangu ir sausainis liūdnas. Šiaip labai mėgstu šią kavinę, bet šie gėrimai labai brangūs ir nuviliantys.

It's a cool place and they coffee is very tasty! I just don't get a good vibe from the staff working there, they don't seem very friendly …

Pagal įvertinimą tikėjomės neblogos vietos, bet gavom visai ne tai. Viduj be galo tvanku, o desertas toks saldus, kad neįmanoma valgyt. Beh.

Puiki vieta, tik reikia, kad isivaziuoti, nes nesusitvarko dar su žmonių kiekiu. Sekmadienį 13val nebeturi Latte, kiaušinienės.

A lady here speaks very (VERY) good English. Latte gets 4.5 points, the croissant is one of the best I've had in a while!
