"I work across so I get lunch there quite often"
"I kept watching people go in and out of this restaurant as I sit in the plaza, so I thought they must have good food"
"Everything on the menu looks delicious"
"I highly recommend the sushi bowl! It was so delicious, filling, and healthy"
A Japanese food restaurant and generally quite good and gives a generous portion too. I ordered creamy salmon roll and it taste pretty good! But I feel weird this place selling Japanese food but not offering green tea at all. Place is kinda small and most tables probably cater for 2 pax only. Will be a challenge if you in a family of 4. All in all, good food at decent price. Was it memorable? Well maybe for me as it was my first time visiting LA but it was the occasion and not because of the food which wows me. Will I order again? I think no but if all the food shops closes down already and this is the only shop available then yeah, I guess I might consider ordering from here.
I work across so I get lunch there quite often. Their rolls are so fresh! Decent size and yummy. Prices are reasonable too. There's no free parking in the area, some street one if you are lucky. I walk there from work so it doesn't matter to me, but it can definitely be an issue for someone

I kept watching people go in and out of this restaurant as I sit in the plaza, so I thought they must have good food... Maybe they do, but certainly not what I purchased that day. The salmon sushi w/ crab was VERY fishy smelling, the grilled salmon was overcooked, with a small tired looking bunch of mixed vegetables, and the spicy tuna had something else that I had to pick out. 2 sushi rolls and a lunch for $30. Better try the meat or chicken.

Everything on the menu looks delicious. I had the chicken noodle soup with bean sprout. It was tasty, fresh and affordable. The young lady who took my order was polite and served my meal with napkins, utensils and condiments without me having to ask. It took about 10 minutes to get my soup ready and in total I paid 18 dollars for the soup, a canned soda, a 16 oz.water bottle, and the tip. For my next visit, I plan on getting the dragon roll.

I highly recommend the sushi bowl! It was so delicious, filling, and healthy. You can choose as many of the fish options as you like, all for the same price, and all the toppings! We also had a dragon roll, spicy tuna roll, and udon, all of which were delicious. The miso soup was very plain, just broth, no tofu or seaweed, but the broth was tasty. The salad and dressing were delicious as well. I will definitely eat here again when I'm at an event nearby.
Fantastic food at a great price. I wondered if I’d still be hungry if I only ordered one roll but it was huge and came with salad and miso soup. In fact I’m sitting here staring at the last piece of sushi because I’m so full! Definitely recommend. Although the description I found on Google was misleading, it said it was a frozen yogurt place. It looked like it may have been once upon a time but only does sushi/ramen/teriyaki now.
I've been to plenty of Japanese restaurants. This place was a little different. My Spicy Tuna bowl was not exactly a bowl. It was a takeout plate with the ingredients separated. But it was delicious! The Chicken Teryaki was mixed with spam and frozen mixed vegetables. But it was delicious! I ordered a Spam Musubi... it was delicious! My food was done quick. The price was fair. The service was friendly. We will be back!
Only been a couple of times and they have never disappointed. I have only tried the Chicken Teriyaki and just recently the Teriyaki Salmon. Both very good. Due to the social distancing they don't have signs in the front indicating how many people can be inside at a time. I placed my order and decided to wait outside. I have them a good 12 minutes before checking and my order was ready.
Sushi is surprisingly good for such a cheap price. Their other dishes are great too, always giving you a lot of food. Usually quick service with a short line. I sure wish they would bring back the frozen yogurt bar though! Very small place so don't expect to get a seat inside during popular hours like lunch time.
Went here after school twice, with my brother and we liked it, the pork ramen is good, I also really liked the tiger roll.

Decent lunch spot. Not too many options on this side of downtown. The teriyaki chicken or orange chicken bowls are good lunch deals. The sushi rolls are ok too.

Where to eat in Downtown L.A. on you mandatory days in the office? Love the Chicken Teriyaki and the Beef Sukiyaki rice plates. Check out the food pictures in the review. PRO TIP: Call in your order if it is large.

Very affordable place for lunch on a workday, offering a range of sushi roll choices and table service either indoors(limited) or outside on the patio. Service is usually pretty fast, but if you're in a terrible hurry get a Subway sandwich next door, which would be a step down from Bak's.
The restaurant is located at Promenade Plaza. They do have a parking garage. Sorry... they are not free. During weekends, the garage also charge $10 cash for people going to Walt Disney Hall or The Broad. So make sure to tell the parking attendant that you are going to restaurant.
I don’t about their sushi and other dishes, maybe they are good at Japanese food, but the orange chicken was far from what it suppose to be. And rice was kinda tasteless as well. Staff is friendly and nice though, as well as the view from this place
-Great Japanese food service for work. -Great portions (I eat like a model and not a heipher while at work; you can divide the portions into two for later I.e. herbal refreshment times ) -Great service and price ($7 and up) …
I never write reviews. But maaaaan this place was delicious. The pork ramen is FIRE and that staff is fantastic.

My first time was yesterday and honestly i think i found my new favorite sushi spot, my baked salmon roll which was amazing came with complimentary miso soup and salad. Their service was fast and professional
The sushi tasted old and rubbery, like gas station food. The service was terrible and I waited for a long time just to order. Horrible. They don't have fire in the kitchen and everything is microwaved.
Fresh food with normal quality with cheap price, which is good deal. Also they prepare food so fast. It's not for your tasty food hunting target, just perfect for the daily lunch and quick bite.
Super small. Very little seating. Seemed clean. Good drink selection. Some shared outdoor seating. Willing to accommodate substitutions. Sushi rice was so so, definitely fast food.
Food is a very reasonable price especially for a downtown located restaurant. I ordered their beef ramen and woah, was it salty. Don't recommend that one but their sushi is good
They got croweded on a rainy day and yet managed to get the customers out in a timely fashion and my food was delicious A plus to the only two ladies that where there 2day
Love it. I work nearby so I buy here all the time. Yummy, fresh food for a good price. If you get a roll it comes with a soup and salad, and their dressing is delicious.
Never fail to disappoint from the first time I ordered Jollof rice and beef I will always come here and nowhere else!!!

Great prices for decent quick rolls. Lunch special is excellent with the miso soupe and salad as a combo. Mexican Roll and dragon roll are my favorite.
Food is good and a nice portion. Sushi rolls come with miso soup and a salad. Walking distance from the Ahmanson Theatre and Walt Disney Concert Hall.
The most reasonably priced food in downtown! I love this place for its convenience and for their fair prices. Their food is delicious, too!
Ordered a roll from them and it tasted amazing. Will visit them again… regularly.

$7-8 for Ramen. They got a big menu divided into Rice, Ramen, and Teriyaki. Good prices menu. Definitely coming back.
They have yogurt and lunch boxes. Reasonable price and healthy lunch like salmon over rice, chicken teriyaki.
Great place to eat sushi. Please support your local business. There is plenty of outdoor seating here too!
Fast & efficient in taking orders. Sushi is your game, this is the place for a quick bite for lunch.
My quick lunch go-to for sushi rolls. Good price, good food. Came with a small salad and miso soup.
Delicious food at great prices. Close to the theater and never crowded. Plus. Plus. No negatives
Pros : relatively good food, good personnel Cons : gets too crowded around lunch time
Only been there once, but it was convenient and food was ready quick.
