MARIANNE!!! IS THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE AGENT!!!! I am from Chicago, born and raised and moved away years ago. I visit at least 3 times a year, and was very excited when family members mentioned a casino right in the heart of downtown Chicago. I attended college and resided in the downtown area and, so to hear about this development was very exciting news to me. This weekend for Christmas vacation (today being Saturday 12/23/2023), I called around 6:30 pm Chicago time, just to gather more general information on the operations for the holiday. When I called ok a young lady by the name of MARIANNE answered the phone and was the RUDEST most nonchalant person I have ever encountered in a professional setting. At first I thought maybe she was a little mentally off but 10 seconds into the conversation with inquiries..I realized she was just being plain rude. My questions were in reference to hours of operation and any specials related to the holiday. Coming from a customer service background in my eyes I’m thinking very general and valid questions. Not too hard to state specific answers too. After realizing her rudeness, I asked for a supervisor or manager, in which immediately she responded by hanging up in my face. I proceeded to call back multiple times before receiving an answer by the same MARIANNE young lady and to which she answered and sent me to a young man by the name of DARRYL, who when asked, stated that he was a Security Supervisor. When I asked for an actual Supervisor over MARIANNE he also proceeded to hang up!! ‍♂️ This has seriously been thee MOST UNPROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE with an organization I have EVER encountered in my 40+ years of existence!! BALLYS PLEASE LOOK INTO THESE WORKERS! I was so excited to attend and bring my whole family but at this point…I WOULD NEVER ATTEND THIS NEW ESTABLISHMENT. You’ve barely been open for a YEAR! Why such nasty attitudes??!!!

Well I get my high card which they match but dont have invite card so still have to pay parking. You have choice of free 3 hour parking or 25free play signing up for the Chicago Ballys card so not transferable like MGM or Ceasars. Being new to city life I could park for $5 for half hour if you want to run in and check out what slots they have. $12 for 3hours $35 aftet that. You could move car if you want another 3 hours for $24. or you can get free play snd if you earn 100 points you get free 3 hour parking. Since first time did know payout or all slots they had. Did not make 100 points which i think would be $800 through. I did not make that in th e 2.5hours i had 15min to get card and 15min to get back to car so i would not go over my free parking pass. now to make it more complicated there are 3 parking garages one that they deal with is half block away. I was told employess park there because its a little cheaper. So do some work before you ge there. They are listed on web site. The above has to be made on the fly before you get your card. A few weeks before there was something on the news about something in the area. There was a photo of a wanted thief hanging in elevator. The week after I was there they ripped out a atm at the parking garage that I used across the street. Thank You Illinois Voters. Its up to you how you want to live or die. I have got $60 worth offers from sister properties. yes I may risk myself one more time but I would not even think about a monthly visit. I will say slots as you would expect are a little looser when a new casino opens. I think Ill what happens in 3 years full casino to be built.

First of all, the bartenders here are awesome! Second, the drinks are overpriced. Third, and the reason for the 1-star. This place is trash trash trash in a handbag!! Got basically accused by another player of stealing this evening. She left her machine with very little money totally unattended. I didn’t notice there was money in there when I sat down and was subsequently humiliated by the surrounding customers (who showed up after I’d been play for an. Few minutes) and security. I honestly don’t pay super close attention to my cash in, and had no idea anything was amiss. I USED to come here fairly regularly, but that ship had sailed. I’ve never felt so humiliated. And, I’m sorry, but please don’t completely abandon your machine if there’s money it it. Unbelievable that I should have to double-check that some idiot didn’t leave $$ in the machine before I sit down. And as much as I wanted it to just throw money at this person to get out of the situation, she acccused me of stealing almost triple what I (later) found out what in the machine. I just couldn’t swallow giving this con artist what she was demanding, and, instead, sat there in shame while cameras were reviewed and I was told that I owed this person money. Unbelievable. What a joke .

It was in the shriners temple that's just wrong. No comp drinks I asked the pit boss. $15 for a small glass of Bacardi and Coke one shot of Bacardi with measuring cup. Parking is min $45 unless you validate your ticket on the second floor then is $26 for up to 2 hours then it goes up per hour and tons of slot machines but not a lot of table games. Its the only game in town unless you drive far from Chicago and they know that so they use it to there advantage. I broke even and played dice at the only 1 table open $15 min Monday morning 10:30am. I broke even on the gambling but I spent $46 on parking and one drink. I didn't feel wanted there like Paris in Vegas treated me bad but every other casino in Illinois or Indiana or Vegas gives me food cigs drinks parking free play not at Bally. There Rewards gave me $10 in free play the first time I went most of the slots max bet $12.50. Its the tightest casino I ever been to makes me sad cause its so close and every other casino is far away. Nothing is free in this world should be there slogan. Lol

Drove an hour up there, had to pay to park and walked up to the players club as a first time player and was told they wouldn’t honor their online advertisement to match my slot play. Not only was I told that they “didn’t accept” the valid slot play offer that I brought in. The manger of the players club didn’t even know what casinos qualified for the “slot play match” promo. Every one of the girls behind the desk admitted they tried to argue the point that the offer being shown to them should be accepted in the past but management decided not to honor their word even still. Will never be stepping foot back into a ballys establishment.

Lovely.. table games and slots. Almost wish it would stay after new one opens. Perfect size and location. Only thing we didn’t like was the food and its prices. Crazy expensive. We paid over $60 for 2 clubs with fries that wasn’t that good. We were the only ones eating and now I see why. 18bucks for 6 wings!! I remember WinStar in OK.. cause the food was awesome and affordable. Bad enough you make millions off the table and slots.. you can’t at least have affordable food? Hope the new one is t this jacked up

  • Suzzette Brown

It was nice, not a big variety of machines so just gotta try anything. The slots are not loose I'll tell you guys that so bring plenty of money. We ate dinner at the Chinese restaurant the food was great, good service and large portions for the price. There is no parking. They validate but it was still $45 in the lot across the street. Overall it was a casino so it was fun, but no parking or Valet is a downside so I won't be back.

Clean, smoke-free, new, unprofessional staff. The Ohio street side is always rife with smokers (employees) having a break, and gossiping. The front-door staff are not constant with same procedures. The first floor Bar ignore customers, until the gossiping breaks, long enough for an interrupted stare, and thinly-disguised sarcastically delivered answer to questions about the casino. There's more, but I have to go now.

Nice , friendly atmosphere. But the only thing is the bar . When I go to a casino I expect a full bar. I asked for certain cocktails and the alcohol wasn't available. For the price you charge for a cocktail I expect alot more options. Like Chocolate Martini is my favorite. And that wasn't available. Certain snaps weren't available. Bar needs more options for a downtown location. Other than that. Nice !!!

Two for Two win streak on slots, and there are quite a few to choose from on multiple floors. Very clean floor and bathrooms. Friendly staff, Parking is a bit odd, have to go all the way to the 11th floor of the parking garage across the street. The second time there was pouring rain and there was not a covered walkway of any kind leading into the casino. An overpass would be a great addition.

  • leshun bundage horton

Love the no smoking nice variety of slots, no old slots not many 1c either atmosphere is okay being downtown food is nice variety only downside is parking it's a nightmare an weather is nice can't imagine when snow an ice rain management is kinda flacky they put alotta pressure on front desk an security approach needs work waitresses are far an between for slot players hover near poker tables

  • Jazmine L.

Small casino. If playing slots, one would need to play at least $6.00 per hand to get any type of payout over $10 or $20 dollars. Two different times playing “Stinking Rich” game, won 18 free games at $1.25 a hand and I won $20 total. Both times that I have been there it has been so very quiet. Sorry, just a little too mundane. No exciting atmosphere. Maybe skip all together?

Although this is a temporary casino. Beware of parking. It is NOT free 24 hour parking. They are using casino rewards to get free parking. Never have I been to a casino that have you drive 11 floors to get reserved parking. I will NOT be back unless its free parking on the first floor. And the casino is ok. Too many police and arrest in the front. Just ghetto!

  • LaToya Bell

Although I was nervous about this casino because if the location I felt safe when I saw the police outside of the venue. Was happy about the extra 10 bucks I had to play with that was loaded on my card. The first slot was a disappointing but the second slot on the third floor had a better payout. It definitely felt like vegas in there!! I will be back

  • Tiffany Shanae Moore

I wish I can choose NO STARS! Worst Casino Ever built!! No a lot of slots to choose from and the one I did choose MALFUNCTIONED!! Slots kept taking my money and machine kept glitching and NOT TO MENTION I HAD TO PAY 65 bucks for PARKING!! I will NEVER GO BACK TO THIS WACK OVERPRICED CASINO! It needs to go out of business

  • Lori Sklo

I visited in Sunday. Place looked nice. All the restaurants weren't opened yet but that's ok. Slots were hot! Went in with 120.00 and left with 800.00. Will be back very soon. Bars were very open and inviting. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Table games were spread out nicely as were all the slot games in each floor.

  • Laquan Creation

This was the worst night of my gambling life. The machines are to expensive and they don't pay out. A big win is $12 what a joke. To top it off they didn't validate for the parking lot that was right in front of the casino. We had to pay $59 to get out , my first and last time going there. I don't recommend them!

  • Jeremy Fisher

Midweek, it was hard to find a lot of players or energy on the gaming tables on the second floor. You would think they would lower the minimum to attract some action, though the top floor attracted baccarat players. No sportsbook. Compared to the casinos I’ve visited around the country, it’s not impressive.

  • Eric Tobias

Wasn't expecting Vegas or anything like that, but overall it was a pretty boring casino. I realize it is a temporary set-up until the other one is built, but very vanilla flavored vibe. Didn't stay very long since the machines were tight and the drinks were pricey.

  • Moonlight Entertainment

Very Nice Casino! In the Old Shire Building. 3 levels, slots and tables first 2 floors, tables and dining on the 3rd. Plenty of slots to choose from. Great Temporary location until the new Casino is complete in 2026. Walking distance from the Magnificent Mile.

  • Susan

Went there for a girls' night out for dinner and to put a few coins in machines. Walked out after 15 minutes. That place is dreadful. Lots of drunk truck drivers and serious gamblers spending their last dime. Restaurants were like food courts. Hard pass.

  • James B

Decent set up for a temporary casino, but you don't get free drinks while you gamble and it takes a long time to get them. Table limits aren't terrible but slightly high for what it is. Sports book isn't open yet and a lot of their tables were closed.

  • Al C

Looks good on the inside but I could tell it's been established quickly with cheaper materials and I just got the vibe of "give us your money and leave quickly" not a good spot for entertainment, no poker room and staff require more training

  • Tonia Wright

Not well planned prior to opening Expensive parking$45 Unless you get 200 points on players card, thanks free. 200 points, wow When $5 equal 1 point Not enough type of mechanic like horse shoes or ameristar. Maybe great for table games

  • Jim Foley

Its nice enough, especially for a temporary location. I checked it out on a wed afternoon during my lunch hour. Pretty dead, and still cheapest blackjack table was $25 a hand. Id imagine at least $50 on a weekend. Too pricey for me.

  • Isaiah Ly Buado

Not bad. Not great. Not remarkable. If you're looking for somewhere that's literally just like any other mid casino, this multi-level casino is a choice. Whether that's a good one is wholly dependant on you.

  • Glen Nap

Not quite a true casino experience but for a temporary setup it was decent. I was surprised that my loyalty account from Atlantic City wasn't available for use there, rather had to open another account.

  • Desmond Goh

I loved that they opened this "makeshift" casino right at downtown. Good number of slots and a couple of table games upstairs. Well managed and safe with the number of officers standing by outside.

  • Steb & Benrry

I bet my lease and put it in black. I won and now I am living in luxury. Remember that those who say to stop don't want to see you winning. 99% of gamblers quit before winning big. NEVER GIVE UP!!

  • kevin thompson

Disgusting place that discriminatez against minorities. If you are GAY you will be kicked out. The bouncers are very much against homosexuals, and kicked me out because of of my sexuality

  • Krishnadas Thakur

Neat and clean. So many slot machines and friendly staff. Also a lot of drink options. High chances of winning. 3 storeys casino has different level slot machines in different floors.

  • Tim Wall

It's nice... Everything is new. Would have preferred another $15 minimum roulette table was open. One $15 and one $25 were all that was open and obviously the $15 table was full.

  • Ivan SpAtes

Clean area and machines; professional and welcoming staff and large variety of games. However... this is a temporary location in middle of city without designated free parking.

  • magda López

We went for my birthday I have the state Id and my husband the matricula The people on the front I were like we don’t accept the matricula or Mexican passport. Ok bye racism.

  • Patricia Price

Was a very wonderful experience, the staff was great. The atmosphere was great, we were celebrating my friend's birthday, we had a awesome time. I won!! …

  • Matthew Trajkovski

Zero type of atmosphere, lost interest immediately. Hopefully the new built casino will have some type of lively atmosphere. GL. won't be back until new place is built.

  • Derrick

It's a beautiful casino in the middle of a city. It's for floors modern with bars. Staff is amazing and friendly they play good music and everybody always wins! …

  • Selena Alvarado

crazy location! absolutely beautiful architecture but assume it’s because it’s formerly a temple. clean and friendly staff! pretty much all you can ask of a casino!

  • Mike “Ornery”

Beautiful casino which is located inside one of my favorite buildings in River North. The building was formerly a mosque and it's structure remains intact.

  • Ammar Haque

This casino is horrible. Didnt see a single person win on blackjack in over an hour. Would recommend playing elsewhere … very high minimums as well.

  • nikhil keshmoni

Brand new casino with nice bars. Dealer table games and slot machines. It would have been nice to have poker tables since I'm a poker lover

  • John Smith

Great casino near downtown Chicago! Blackjack tables are absolutely amazing! Most are 3:2 Drinks are amazing. Atmosphere is comfortable.

  • jane boyd

Had a very nice time there, the casino was not overly crowded so you could play your favorite slot machine without being crowded in.

  • Andre Greer

Love the design of the casino 3 floor is vip and 2 floor is player club was not crowded on a Tuesday chinese on 3 floor smell good

  • BHAVINKUMAR PRAJAPATI

This is really good place for fun and little bit gambling. Very nice to go. I have very good experience.

  • Eddie Bingham

Free 25$ slot play or table play for signing up!!! Best deal I've had since visiting any casino!!!

  • R P

  • Anoop

It was super fun and was a great environment. Must go place with friends and family …

  • Lola Jefferson

Normal casino, nothing to write home about. Slot machines, vip areas, and several eateries.

  • Jesse Trevino

Great temporary casino! Plenty of games, good vibe and energy.
