There is something that is not right with this establishment. I have been using it for two years. However, about a year ago my dog started getting very bothered with going to appointments. At the time I first noticed this we were no longer going very often. She had some allergy issues, etc so we were going more prior to this. However, everything was stabilized so she only needed to go for routine things. Yesterday my husband took her and noticed she was very distraught when he dropped her off. This is not the type of dog that gets bothered by this, so it was unusual. They force these drop off appointments on you by making it hard to get scheduled appointments and are rude with you every time you tell them you want a regular appointment. When he picked her up and bought her home I noticed a huge scratch down her nose and top lip. I called and of course they had no clue as what happened to her. They tried to blame it on the crate. Well if you have crates with sharp edges then something is clearly wrong. My dog is very well trained, including crate trained. She takes obedience classes weekly. Something bad has been happening to my dog there and she will never go back. I already had very bad experiences with their vets. No one ever told me consistent stories about what was going with my dog when she was sick. Their storied constantly changed. Plus my husband was given medications that were supposed to be for one thing but were for another. The vets don't appear to care about caring for animals at all. It seems like they hire the worse vets they can find; probably cheaper pay or something. I strongly urge anyone who loves their pets to never go to Banfield. I have used three different locations and have had a lot of bad experiences. Plus my dog always smells very terrible when she comes home.

I wish I could say that Dr. Parker took care of our beloved cat Luna but care does not belong in the same sentence as Dr. Parker. Luna has been in my family’s life for years with little to no issues health wise. We brought her in for a consultation on her eye that has been bothering her for a while. You are not allowed to go into the room due to COVID restrictions which I do not agree with. If I’m allowed to take my child to the hospital and be there why can I not be with my pet? Due to anxiety reasons we give Luna a dose of Gabapentin which she has never had a negative reaction to in the years she has taken it. We always get back the same Luna, every time. You’d think dropping her off for a consultation would be a simple and easy thing and you can just go home that same day and sleep easy knowing what the vet recommends. I wish it was that easy, but it was not. What we got back was far from any behavior Luna ever exhibited. She was unable to stand on her own and had trouble breathing. The staff LAUGHED IT OFF and claimed it was probably due to the medicine. (Remember, she’s never had this issue before.) Luna was also STONE COLD! They said “we wiped her down that’s probably why she’s cold.” LIES! The worst part was they let us take her home!!!! She never got better, she got worse. We had to take her to the emergency room as it got worse overnight. Luna ended up passing away due to heart failure that night. How dare you release her back into our care when you knew something was wrong. You lied to our faces and had the audacity to call us the next day and tell us “we hope Luna is doing well!” You knew she wasn’t okay. We told you we were going to the ER and the fact you called the day after and used the words you used is inexcusable.

A month ago I would have rated this way better but after the most recent event I found that they are not on top of things as well as they say they are. I took my dog in to be treated and they called to tell me she was needing life saving drugs and knocking on deaths door. I had to prepare my kids for the heartbreaking news and then transport my dog to an emergency vet. Upon arrival we discovered the records they sent me with were for another animal. To address the confusion of what was going on a vet to vet call was made. Once the records were sorted out it was discovered that the lab values they used for their normal range are not even close to being correct for my dogs breed. The hundreds of dollars of medication that Banfield said I needed along with the grave picture presented was entirely incorrect. Turns out my dogs just having some minor thyroid issue that can be fixed with inexpensive medicine. To make all of this worst I have Banfields pet health plan which only works at Banfield. All of the testing done would have been discounted under the plan and my costs would have been less. Except because Banfield had the wrong values and jumped to the conclusion of the dog being in a grave state (even though she did not physically present like this at all) I had to pay for all the testing at higher costs at an emergency vet because Banfield directed me to go there. Purely the health plan is a waste if Banfield does not have a better staff and system to recognize breed specific differences. I do not recommend ever using them.

We took our mastiff in because she had some really large swollen lymph nodes. They called and said it doesn't look good... we are pretty sure its cancer....well we are 95 % sure. We can do blood work or fine need aspirit and get a better idea of actually prognosis. We wouldn't get those back for 5days. Keep in mind leading up to the appointment, they were so rude to my husband, so unprofessional, we gave them his number 4 times and yet they still couldn't mange to keep it, the list goes on just with the drop of situation. Here we are 5 days and we are told it seem that they didn't get any lymph nod in those test and it was fat so the test are no longer good. Can we bring her back because now there are 4 other drs here and we can all give it a go. This test alone was over $300. Now calling around to other stand alone vets, we took her here because we were paying the insurance, but come to find out this can be done in the office for under $50!!! The office manager then tells me, well this test is not always accurate and it can be common to not get results but the Dr on Saturday told us this was the best one to go with so we can get a clear picture. We will never be back here again. They have made for such an awful experience when time could not be on our side as Lymphoma is so aggressive. A week has gone by when our girl COULD have weeks to live. We have now made an appointment with Alta Vista Pet Hospital and they have been so wonderful.

Took my 4 month old puppy here as part of the "puppy plan" for her vaccinations. On my previous visit 2 weeks prior, I payed $17 in addition to the puppy plan to have her nails trimmed, which they did not do. When I spoke to them this time, I told them I was unhappy with the nail trimming from my previous visit. They said they will check her nails, and if needed they will trim them as a courtesy since I was unhappy with the last attempt. When it was time to pick her up, I was told that yes, her nails did need to be trimmed, confirming the poor job they did the first time. But in trimming my PUPPY's nails this time, it took 3 people to restrain her and there is a $20 restraining fee. I told Dr. Sloan that I wouldn't be paying the $20, if she was having that much difficulty with my PUPPY, she should have just called me and I would have done her nails myself. So she told me she would send the $20 to a collections agency since I refused to pay. They tried to charge me for traumatizing my puppy, this is what pisses me off the most. It's not the $20, it's the fact that for the rest of my dog's life, she is going to be freaked out anytime we go to the vet or we try to trim her nails. I will be getting my puppy spayed through the puppy plan, since that is the ONLY value in the plan, then never going to banfield again.

I took my dog here with his shot records because he wasn't eating his bacon with normal enthusiasm. Even though he had his puppy shots, was eating and drinking just not as much as usual... they proceeded to try and tell me he had a positive parvo test.. being that I have had lots of experience with puppies and Parvo. I suspected they where trying to take me for a ride ! I paid for the treatment which was $463 after I agreed to sign up for their wellness plan. Well the next day my pup is acting 100% normal... no diarrhea or throwing up eating just fine and definitely not parvo. So I take my puppy to another vet and run 2 parvo test and nope no parvo !! I talked to them about this and they informed me I could cancel my Wellness plan but will have to pay for the test the plan covers. I’ll keep the plan for a year and use it to keep him up to date on shots and small things a vet tech can do but as far as anything real concerns or accidents I’ll be taking him some place else. It is sad people who are supposed to be animal lovers would use others peoples love for their pets to run up a check on them. If you just did good business and cared about the animals people would come there even if it did cost a little more. It’s not about money it’s about taking care of you pet.

I’m considering finding a new vet. The last time my dog was sick they didn’t have the time to see him. He is prone to pancreatitis and this is the only clinic that he has been treated for it at, so the fact that they knew this and couldn’t fit him in for three days is unacceptable. And we recently had to fly with my dog and the airlines requires a rabies vaccination. I purposefully have not had my dog vaccinated as he is an inside dog and never around anybody else or any other animals, I didn’t want him receiving unnecessary vaccinations. I scheduled my dog to receive only his rabies vaccination but I had to work so my boyfriend took him in. They gave him every other vaccination except for his rabies!!! The ONLY one I scheduled him to get was his RABIES!! I was livid!! Then when my boyfriend took our dog back up there to get the vaccination we had to have in order for us to take our trip, they tried to charge him for it, after he had already paid more than double what should have been paid in the first place because they screwed up. Of course he refused and they didn’t charge us, but I’m fed up with this place and searching for a new vet.

I came to this location after a bad experience at a different Banfield (Lake Worth). I had to have her seen immediately because she was declining after only 48 hours of having been seen by a vet at the Lake Worth location. I had an appointment scheduled four days out, but couldn't wait the weekend because my cat, Pixie, was declining in health so rapidly. I walked in with her, visibly feeble and in distress, and asked to have her seen by a Veterinarian at the clinic. They flat-out refused to see her that day and said the soonest they could see her is tomorrow. They suggested I go to a vet ER not far away. The best thing I did was follow their advice to go elsewhere for her care, and I suggest everyone else do the same. Banfield does not care about your pet's life. Please give them the care they deserve by taking them to a place that Banfield themselves recommended--VEG ER is only 2 minutes away from this location and has staff that cared for my cat's critical condition and looked at her right away. I highly recommend VEG ER. I do not recommend Banfield.

I would give 0 stars if I could. Staff was rude and cet didn't properly explain things. My husband brought our dog in for an ear infection and we were given a medication that he thought was for the infection but turned out to be for allergies. I tried to being it back and was told since the manager wasn't in they couldn't return it but to come in when she was there and she could return it for me. I went back 2 days later and was told by not only the staff but the manager that it couldn't be returned. They were very rude about it. One of the technicians was standing behind the manager with a smug look on her face constantly shaking her head. The manager just kept saying that it was accurately prescribes for my dog however she is not a vet herself so how would she know? It was a horrible experience and I will never be taking any animal to Banfield again. Take you pet to someone who actually cares about the pet and not about money. Woodland Springs vet is great! I wish I had known they were open on Sundays now so we would never have come here.

  • Shandi

Disorganized compared to other Banfields I've been to, maybe they are short staffed or see too many animals per day. Vets at this location don't even take the time to meet with you to discuss your pet's illness or treatment plan. Instead you're rushed out the door after paying and only the vet tech assists you. That wouldn't be too bad, except half the time the vet techs don't seem to even know what is going on with the animal they're bringing out and just blindly read the paperwork. I can read the paperwork, I want to be talked to by someone who helped care for my pet. In addition to this, we recently took our dog in for a limp and it took WEEKS to get a referral to an orthopedic surgeon. I had to call multiple times to remind the front desk staff and the vet. My dog was in pain and their inability to stay organized or relay info caused unneeded delays in getting my dog the surgery. This is an unfortunate example of quantity at the sacrifice of quality. Really disappointed in this location.

I went to this Banfield to get an Xray for my cat, I had to sign up for the plan in order to get him the Xray. The only procedure I wanted done for my cat that day was the Xray, I explained this all already to the people available that day and I was charged for testing and vaccines to which I DID NOT CONSENT TO! Obviously it added more to the bill. I also asked for the Xrays to be sent to me since I wanted a second opinion and I didn't even see them or the doctor who saw my cat myself, I also got denied that. I am currently contacting many people in management about this and on top of that, I just got sent a visit summary saying I took my cat yesterday for an appointment which is absolutely false. I will never use Banfield services again and this better get fixed now, because I want to cancel that plan and don't want anything relating me to Banfield any longer!

  • Rebecca Wright

Made my appointment, showed up 15 minutes early to fill out paperwork, waited maybe 5 minutes to go into exam room, then vet assistant kept us in room for almost 35 minutes because she didn't know what she was doing! She then informs me that it will be 2-3 hours before my dog will be ready. This sure would have been nice to know before hand. So I go run some errands and come back 3 hours later to find out they have not even started the treatment yet. I said I didn't appreciate my dog being overlooked for 3 hours and that I didn't have time to wait another 3 hours for him to be treated. I requested my dog to be brought to me so I could leave. So not only did I waste my whole day with this vet my dog wasn't even treated! Now I have no anxiety medication for the dog which is one of the reasons I went in. Will definitely be going to a different vet. Never again!

If I could give 0 stars I would. First of all, I adopted a kitten from the petsmart in here. She had worms and had to be treated immediately. Fast forward a month or so and she has them AGAIN. I called to see if they could take her in and the woman on the phone (Kristy) was extremely rude and didn’t know customer service whatsoever and I’ve been in retail my entire working career. The office visit alone would’ve been $50 then they wanted to take a feces sample to see if she had worms (even though i watched them come out of her behind) then they wanted to charge me for the treatment! Overall it would’ve been $150 for something they could’ve fixed before putting her up for adoption! $25 adoption fee is turning into many fees to get my baby back to health even though she should’ve been Perfect before they let her go for adoption!!

  • Shirley Haywood

I love these guys! As a pet parent, my dog is my baby! When he see this place, he tries to get out the car before I stop! Because I’m really not used to paying more for my dogs healthcare than I pay for mine, I’m not always the happiest customer, however, the staff has a way of always making me feel better and even smile. King goes in thinking that everyone in there is assigned to him and they are all extremely happy to give his 135 lbs of pure muscle some love, he greets EVERYONE in the facility. The doctors all seem to truly care about how he is doing and they get him back healthy very quickly! Although he’s always happy to see me when they are done, I think it’s just because he’s hungry! In summary, great vets, great care, somewhat expensive. Lol

  • Zoë Belltrán Martínez

Do not bring your dog to this vet. I brought my great dane to get spayed back in April and they malpractice her surgery. Leaving her with a huge scar on her stomach that is inflamed and there are huge bumps on her scar. Her personality is completely changed as well ever since that visit. She’s more scared of strangers and is just overall very skittish when meeting new people. I have called multiple times asking if I am allowed to go in with her since she has so much anxiety now but they have refused every single time. I am also paying for their health care plan which has been useless since they end up charging you $200 whenever they get the chance anyway. I do not trust them to be alone with my dog. DO NOT BRING YOUR DOG HERE.

  • Jamie Singley

I was pleasantly surprised with how well they took care of us! I called Friday morning for my sick furr baby and they were able to see us that afternoon. When we arrived, the receptionist was friendly. There was a short wait before they brought us back. Dr. Sloan and Natalia were very thorough, kind and informative throughout the appointment. They ran 2 diagnostic tests and sent us home with a prescription. My baby was feeling better by morning and the receptionist even called to check! Exceptional service! The staff is honest and upfront in that they have 5 different doctors. I’m not sure what the other doctors are like but I’ll definitely request Dr. Sloan for future visits! Thank you!

  • Carol B

I really love the staff here. I would like to point out that the scale is in a really bad location. For those entering and exiting with pets it causes a traffic jam. The desk is trying to check pets in to the center at the same time that people and pets are trying to leave and at the same time people and pets are trying to enter. A huge traffic jam occurs and it becomes mass confusion for everybody trying to get out of each other's way... at the same time the desk is insisting on pets to be weigh in. I love the staff here but this is a problem that needs to be looked at. If you have any questions you can ask the front desk how they handle that. I'm kind of felt like not coming back.

  • Brooke Rodriguez

My dog takes seizure medicine and uses it twice a day. She just got her bloodwork done and needs a refill. My husband has been calling almost every day for the last two weeks to get this prescription refilled and although they are very nice, their response is always “we will call you back the doctor isn’t in” and they never call back. My husband has also emailed the doctor with no response. He even went up there and of course the doctor wasn’t in then either. If my dog has a seizure due to their negligence I’m going to absolutely lose it. Usually they are good. This however, is completely unacceptable and I’m ready for a new vet that actually cares about my animals and their needs.

  • a c

I am impressed with the vet techs level of knowledge and concern and the vet that we had was very kind. The reception staff is a completely different issue, they expressed no concern, no sense of urgency and were all about the money. We adopted a dog had her for a few days and she passed away, the wellness plan is going to cost me an additional $500 to pay off. The wellness plans are a complete rip off. You're better off getting sprays, neutered and shots at either TCAP or Texas Paw Care. Also I would recommend driving out to the flower mound location if you're already in a plan. The facility is much nicer and so are the people that work there.

  • Miranda Renae

Took my cat for a physical. They had an HOUR meeting during my cats appointment. My cat, like most cats, has anxiety being at the vet. It’s bad enough we can’t be in there with them but to have my cat in there ALONE for MORE THAN THREE HOURS just does not sit right with my husband and I. My poor baby was shedding like crazy and could be heard meowing in the background and we called to check why it was taking a while. Again all he was coming in for was a simple physical by the way. Which they didn’t even seem to do because we had to look up online what the strange bumps were on his chin ourselves. Cat acne that gets infected.

  • Kam

We have been here for over 6 years with our pets, and pay for the pet plans for all of them. They are under staffed and over booked the last 6 months. They can’t get you in for 4-5 days when your baby is sick, they tell you to call another Banfield. They are supposed to be about pets! Our pets are our kids, do you take you kids to a strange doctors office where you know no one and drop them off? NO! We know the vets, techs, and office staff at this location, so we are comfortable with their new drop off only policies at this location. We are looking for a new vet with pet plans and canceling, this has gotten ridiculous!

  • J Hawkins

We have our crew on the Banfield Plans. This is our primary location and have visited 1 other location. I love the Veterinarians and I could NEVER ask for a better staff on the front end. The manager of this branch has always taken care of us. We have been in for routine care, dental cleanings, emergency surgery (more than once) and sadly saying good bye to our furbabies. During Covid we were not allowed to be with our last baby and while it was heart breaking everyone in the office was absolutely the best and went beyond to let us say our goodbyes. They will be our VET of CHOICE until we no longer have pets.

  • Justin Gonzalez

The vet experience was okay, but the front desk was horrible. I arrived called, no answer, called again no answer. So I went to the door to let them know I was there to pick up my dog they see me standing out in the rain then continue to work. Few minutes later open the door for another customer then let me know I'm supposed to call and wait in my car. They had an attitude I tried explain I called several times but she was closing the door. Then another one comes out later to take my payment didn't seem like she was in a good mood either. I understand they can get pretty busy but no need to be rude.

  • Becca Saul

Absolutely had enough of this place. Most recent issue- I took my dog here and they left her in a cage all day (7hours) before looking at her. Did not take her outside for the bathroom. Told me there was nothing wrong with my dog but tried to charge me for pain medication and relaxing medication. Had a few issues with the manager before and she has a bad attitude. I pay $120 a month for the plan for both of my dogs and I’m canceling today. I will be taking my dogs somewhere more caring and WAY better value for money. Do yourself a favor and do not come here.

  • L Ray and M Natalie Loomis

On 6/18/21 the tech became upset because we asked a couple questions about the projected cost of the surgical bill for our dog. She then took the dog in but the dog was refusing to go with the tech. So I stayed at the door watching the tech interact with our dog and the tech became enraged and came back to the door and started yelling at me. She then threw our dog out and threw her chain leash down almost hitting our dog. When the vet arrived she refused us service based on discrimination reasons automatically taking the white techs side. Alliance Location.

  • Justin Swinney

Would leave 0 stars if possible. We called and booked an appointment for our Great Dane puppy in advance. My wife got there early with our puppy and was told he would be put in a kennel for 5 hrs before the vet could see him!!! Then she is told that owners can't go into the office with the vet but she saw other owners going in with their dogs. If you cant speak to the vet then they are hearing everything 2nd or 3rd person and you cant even ask questions about the issue? And you don't even know what is happening to your pet? This is unacceptable!

  • ashton ochoa

Told me I need to give my dog 2500 dollar surgery or he's gonna die. Didn't let me look at xrays just wanted me to take their word for it. 2 days later whatever was in his intestines passed through and he's been his spunky wild self. So I spent 400 on absolutely nothing. Plus they quoted me one price. And when I went in to get my dog try to double the price when I told them beginning of the appointmentI only had a certain amount. This place is a scam. Will never take my dog back to Banfield.

  • Mandy Paquette

First visit. Very friendly and helpful staff. Signed up for the wellness plan which helped us out immensely with the bill. It looks like a smart monthly investment. I definitely plan on coming back. :) The only criticism I have is my dog was tested for something they didn't initially tell me at the appointment ( I had to leave him there) so just make sure to tell them no additional testings without your okay. I've had this happen at other vets so I think it's fairly common.

  • Merridith B

Unimpressed with this location. I have currently been on hold for over 30 minutes trying to get a simple question answered. The front desk have always been rude. I have always liked Dr. Heard until recently when she won't return emails or calls. My dog has several issues that I feel like more and more (expensive) prescriptions were given without any thought to my budget. I'll be seeing a different vet for another opinion...if they ever answer the phone!

  • Maggie G

I could not have asked for a better experience today with my little one (21y old Kitty). We sadly had to make a quick decision to let him go and the entire team was amazing from a wailing phone call to the process in the room were all flawless. I typically shy away from Banfield clinics, but I will be recommending Dr. Parker and her team to anyone I can find. I am so incredibly grateful for their compassion and their kindness today ❤️

  • Danielle Acosta

The vets and vet techs are absolutely amazing! Very caring and seemed to be genuinely concerned about our pet. The receptionist, however, were the exact opposite. Very dismissive and wouldn't answer our questions about our pet plan. When we came in to cancel our insurance because our dog passed away their response was, "oh that sucks." Would highly recommend just taking your dogs/cats to the banfield in flower mound.

  • 100% Beauty

On Friday we walked into Banfield Pet hospital scared and nervous our baby wasn’t feeling very well. From the start the staff was extremely welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed! Shout out to Hailey G for being ver kind, explaining everything and answering our long list of questions! Dr Heard and her staff were great with following up and making sure our baby is at her best. Top tier Service!!!

  • mikey

First appointment seemed fine. Follow ups and phones calls not so much. It’s been almost 2 weeks with no reply or even a email. I had to call multiple times and finally the front desk helped me set a virtual appointment. During this time dog ran out of medication. Now his eyes are extremely irritated. I wanted to speak to the vet for 2 or 3 mins to see the next course of action. This isn’t professional.

  • Barbara Gray

Shiloh had been neutered and Dr Herd as well as a staff member called us immediately after surgery to let me know all went well. The facility is very clean, well kept! They are thorough on exams, keep us up to date by phone call or email on Comprehensive exams and vaccines. I find this location to be great, doctors and staff extremely gentle, loving with our 3 babies.

  • Morgan Tecmire

Dr. Zabell has been aware of my issue with dog abuse and I can't get any response from him or anything fixed and he's the president of customer service. I can't even get banfield to call me to resolve any issue. I've emailed, DM on Facebook and I'm ignored constantly. I was promised a call over a week ago and have yet to get anything.

  • Kent Mahan

Good vets, just don't allow you to stay with your pet for the exam. My pets have anxiety, so this is not ideal for them. This is a Covid change that needs to go away. Covid is no longer an excuse, since none of the workers were wearing masks, & were in close proximity (less than 6') during check-in, drop-off, check-out, & pick-up.

  • House of Love

I really like every staff member I met there. Very cheerful and helpful. The doctor we saw was amazing. He spoke to us as equal owners in our pets care. Best vet experience in years. I'm so grateful I found Banfield! Their wellness plans make proper Healthcare practical and affordable. Thank you, Banfield!!!

  • Rachel Sudduth

The service is good. But I have been trying to call since they opened at 7am and their phoned are still off!!! Need to make sure the drop off for my dog to get spayed is still today. Because the app doesn't show the appointment anymore. Finally answered after being open for 20 minutes

  • Roberta Willis

I highly recommend this facility. They r graciously helping me with a situation with my dog that requires twice daily help for a week. It is something they do not need to help with. They have been so kind, gracious, and friendly. I can't thank them enough!

  • Joseph Judge

This is the worst vet I have ever been to because they didn't take the mole last September and promised me that the next time she gets her teeth cleaned next year they will do it for free. This place has total lier. I will never take my dog here again.

  • Nicholas Strong

We have their “wellness plan”. Horrible service. My dog sat there all day and literally nothing was done after he was just in the pet ER the day before. Reco to not go with their wellness plan, for shots great. But otherwise the plan doesn’t help.

  • Darkdragon

I'd highly recommend you don't go here. This was our first time dealing with them. They had us drop the pet off at 9:30 am for the vet to look at. They had all our information wrong even though I had to repeat myself several times on the

I really didn't want to write a bad review in fear of retribution on my animals. I just personally feel they only care about money. Before they even saw my dog they are recomending $$$$ shots. When i spoke with the vet she tried to shame

Staff is great. My 2 dogs have been there on a wellness plan for several years now, and they are always well taken care of. I always feel comfortable and confident taking my pets here. I feel they are safe when in Banfields care.
