My wife and I went to this Thai restaurant in Oxley on my 50th Birthday about 2 weeks ago. We enjoyed the food on the lunch specials. We suggested to our family friends to have a Sunday birthday lunch at Bann Suan and so we came here again at a group of 16 people. We ordered green curry chicken, Pad Pring Chicken, soft shell crab, prawn, two types of fish dishes, Tom Yum seafood, Tom Kha chicken, number of lunch specials for each of the kids, and for dessert, mango with sticky rice and deep fried ice cream. Check out the beautifully made mango with sticky rice dessert...the food presentation was also great. Tell you what, the food was awesome! Every dish and the dessert really justified Bann Suan's high Google review ratings. On top of that, this is a family run restaurant and their service was really friendly and fast. They are also very clean and the ambience is really good and relaxing. My ratings of 5 starts in each of the category is genuine. This place is highly recommended.

So glad they have changed to new ownership of this restaurant as now the food tastes absolutely delicious. Any locals or anyone who is looking to try out very authentic Thai food, you have came to the right place. This place is our family’s weekly go to lunch eats and every time we leave, we are always happy and reminds us of home back in Thailand. This is a family owned business, the lady is always so nice and provides the best service, as well as the chef who is definitely always serving us flavoursome and appetising dishes. The curry puffs are in-house made and are so tasty. Prices are inexpensive for the high quality of food that is given to customers. 11/10 rating and without doubt, recommend this Ban Suan Thai restaurant to everyone. We have tried numerous different Thai restaurant and nowhere compares to this place with their authentic menu recipes.

Bann Suan was hit and miss. Firstly, the service was amazing - very attentive, friendly and quick to clear empty tables. We ordered two stir fried dishes - the Tamarind Duck and Pad Prik Khing Mu Grob. Both dishes tasted quite similar, were served with the same 5 stir fried veg and were much sweeter than I was expecting. There was no hit of the tamarind sour I was looking forward to and the sliced duck had clearly been cooked a few times before. Now onto the other good bits! The curry puff entree was the nicest curry puff I've had in quite some time. The beef massaman curry was the real stand out of the night - the beef and potatoes were perfectly cooked in the silky and generously portioned sauce.

customer service was great. I had asked for cutleries and water and napkins and toilet direction multiple times and the staff and owner were very obliging. food portion came up more than what I expected though I was aware what amount I would paid. overall, the garlic and pepper fish was cut up in consideration for my kids to eat, time yum was on sweet side but suited my taste, the lunch special came up in large portion. with beautiful memories. well done guyys

This family business is great. The ambience is so welcoming and cozy. Our dinner was amazing! All of the dishes were delicious and beautiful presentation. I would say it is authentic Thai food. Quick and excellent service. My favourite is Bann Suan Salad and Pad Thai Prawns. The salad was so refreshing with fresh vegetables. Pad Thai + wok hei = heaven!!! Found this restaurant while looking for a local Thai restaurant. The restaurant is spotless clean, beautifully decorated, nice and authentic Thai decorations on the wall. Staff are polite, helpful and attentive. We order Penang curry, coconut rice and a som tum (papaya salad) all get 10/10, so delicious! Good portions, fresh and nicely presented. We had an amazing lunch here today. $30 for red curry(chicken) and Panang curry(pork). The rich flavours and well size meal was awesome. We ordered hot and medium spice which were perfect. Deep Fried ice cream was as lovely as the service. Definitely worth a visit.

Last night was my 4th visit to Bann Suan and again I walked away totally satisfied. The Beef Massaman was the best I've ever had and the Steamed whole Fish with Ginger was devine. I dined with a Thai friend who was also impressed. I can safely say that in my opinion it is the best Thai Food in Brisbane. You won't be disappointed!

Amazing Thai. We usually go to “spicy I’m Thai” in paddington as it was our favourite but Bann Suan is BETTER! The red duck curry was a standout with the duck melting in your mouth. Soft shell crab is also delicious. Thai milk tea was great too!

Been here a number of times for lunch and dinner and never disappointed. The pad char is excellent and not something you find in most Thai restaurants. Opening hours can be a bit limited but I figure this is suburban Brisbane not Bangkok.

Lovely food and homey atmosphere! We had Laab chicken, Tom Kha Prawn, Kra Pow, and Thai raw prawn, all with rice. Everything is a chef’s kiss. Would always come here when we crave for some good thai food. Oh and don’t forget the Thai milk tea yummm. Never left disappointed
