This place has great food. It is fresh and cooked to perfection. Unfortunately it has no real warm atmosphere of restaurant and you can’t see the kitchen. It feels cold and claustrophobic. The owner is nice and friendly but has no idea of running a business at the front. My suggestion is to hire juniors for attendance to customers, giving menus, asking them to start with entre’ while thinking about mains, bringing water to table specially in summer, then taking orders. Leave the hard job to the kitchen staff who are at the moment so good at their job but would loose their energy and customers if continue running their business with no waiting staffs. if the above is not possible to do , go totally by phone or app orders and people just pick up their food to take home or pay and pick up from the counter just like KFC and if they choose to sit, the place had seats and tables. Thanks in regards to great quality food . You guys need support in business to keep the quality as you started. Service good food and hygiene are essential in business, You have two and service is missing.

In my last visit, I was sitting in the restaurant for around 15 minutes and no one came to our table to give us the menu or take orders. So we left without having food there. I'm adding to my review the following lines as I couldn't reply the owner comment. Yes, we took the menu by ourselves when noone brought it to us as we tought you might be overwelmed with the only other table with 8 or 9 customers. The restaurant was empty other than that one table and I didn't see any reserved sign on any other tables. No I haven't booked as I'd been there a few times and you never needed a booking in advanced. That's interesting that you mention thet you saw me, and remeber me but no one helped us with the menu. I enjoyed your food in the past and was hoping that I were wrong that you ignored us in your restaurant but with your reply I'm sure I'm no longer a customer of yours and won't recommend you to anyone. We googled "restaurants for dinner" and Banoo Restaurant came up with great reviews so we decided to give it a go even though it's not really in our neighbourhood. What a gem of a place! Friendly service and fantastic food. Generous portions. Definitely try the olives and the smoky eggplant. The mixed kebab was so good we ended up ordering another serve. Not licenced so you'll need to have an alcohol free meal.

BEWARE of dining out here. The little Iranian guy with glasses will try his luck to overcharge you. This has now happened to me and our friends a number of times after dining out here. He will simply try his luck and overcharge you whatever he can. If your dining in a large group make sure to check all the prices on the menu first and ask to see the itemised bill before paying. I can guarantee you you will be overcharged considerably more that would you have consumed. The food isn't any good either if you want Persian kabab there a much better places to go to in the city or just go to a number of the Afghan kabab places on Prospect Road.

I've visited this place twice, but both experiences were marred by overcharging. On the first occasion, we ordered one take-away box, yet they billed us for five. When I called to address this, they insisted the extra charge was for the main dish, which they claimed was initially undercharged. On the second visit, they charged us more than the menu prices, citing recent changes that hadn't been reflected on the menu. Additionally, they billed us for two takeaway boxes we never received. A great Iranian/Persian food and restaurant. I am a food lover and I have browsed around Adelaide and interstate and Banoo is top ranked in such restaurant lists. Just recently I have been advised that I can find much better one in Gold Coast and just now I finished my food here with regret and very unsatisfiction with both food and service. Even can not be compared with Banoo, I don't tell you the name as may has bad impact on such small business which I don't want to contribute with such consequences. Beyond the amazing food and great tastes, our recent get together at Banoo, was a "respect lesson". Long story short, when the waitress came to get the orders, asked our 2-year kids who held the menus in their hand, what they want.. they pointed out the most colourful picture and all of us got happy. She took all the other orders. After minutes she came back with two plates of that vivid picture, which made our kids happy and on top of that "confident". At last, they didn't even accept me to pay for those plates. Thanks Banoo for always homelike hospitality.

Great place with very friendly staff. The Banoo Restaurant offers a high quality food with friendly staff. Our meal arrived on time and the staff was always helpful and polite to address our requests. The kebabs were so delicious. The place is slightly small, so you may need to find something to entertain your kids if you have any. I'm not sure if this placce has a carpark but you can park your car off the street. Totally recommended to visit!

The food was cooked well with large portion sizes, a great authentic texture and tasted great. The place is set up low key nothing fancy, but it's like having meals made by an aunt, they are really friendly too. organised take away and for a specific pick up time, earlier in the day & they accommodated, thanks banoo restaurant. Note, the pricing on the menu online /on here is old pricing from around 4yrs ago ( I think it's around 20% higher now, but still decent value). Worth a visit :)!

It is unreal delicious and fresh food! I have never tasted anything like this in Adelaide and yet we go out every week to try new restaurants! It’s a hidden gem, very cosy and clean inside. A Persian Jewel this side of Adelaide! The food is always fresh and authentic. Service is always warm, welcoming and friendly. We drive 30 minutes to eat here! Lovely Banoo (Lady Head Chef) comes to speak with the customers often. Great to dine in with a group of friends or for family events. The interior decor reminds of authentic Persian restaurants. There is excellent takeaway service too. Come and try!

We have tried here few times and I can say despite some minor service issues which is normal the quality of food is the best. If you like Persian cuisine this is the one you should try. I ordered 3 skewers joojeh kebab, on the menu they priced it $25 however they said it’s $25 for 2 skewers plus $10 for the third skewers and the total is $35( which is $10 more than their menu) Pretty disappointed

Very hospitable place. We came after iftar so the kitchen was "cleaned out", but we insisted on "something". The owner came out with two more than generous plates of Persian food that tasted very nice. Interior lacks authencity, but food is definitely authentic

Fantastic Persian food that feels like you're eating at home. Go for generous food that feels like a warm hug. Recommend the kebabs which come with a side of fresh herbs, ghormeh sabzi is a must, gheimeh nesar, ghaboli polo and mahicheh, and fesenjan are great too.

Small, cozy space but the food is absolutely the BEST in all of adelaide - no exaggeration. If you come here, do not just get kabab because in my opinion the kabab is average but anything else on the menu is amazing especially the halim bademjoon, so good!!!

I am simply in love with this place. The lamb here is sensational. The cucumber yoghurt dip, grilled tomatoes and bread with fresh herbs all goes so well together. Great service to round it all off. Highly recommend and will be back again (obviously).

Oh wow - I just finished lunch and can’t get over how GOOD the food is here! It’s the mum’s cooking and she’s some sort of Persian MasterChef! From the kofta to the rice to the chicken - everything was spot on! Merci - I will be back!
