I came during happy hour, so let’s start with the customer service, it was AMAZING. If you get the opportunity to have your drink made by Ashton the bartender then you’ve had an amazing alcoholic molecular experience. She makes the best drinks, not too strong, but stiff enough to make you scrunch up your face. The first drink I had was “The Star” and I ordered an appetizer of the boneless wings and tempura shrimp. First of all, the STAR was the best grey goose cocktail that I’ve ever had! It comes with a garnish of champagne (in the form of a shot). Now, Grey goose is not one my favorites but the drink was so good and refreshing that me and my companion almost ordered another! The second drink was the Mojito, and my companion had a strawberry mojito, both well blended and flavored with a good balance. Let’s talk about the food, THE SHRIMP TEMPURA IS TO DYE FOR, the shrimp size is true to its “JUMBO” description, the Aoli is FIREEEEE, and the boneless chicken appetizer was a great match for the drinks. The manager is very attentive to the service being provided. All of the bartenders that were on duty understood the menu and were able to to explain it to us in a precise fashion. Overall the food, drinks, service, and atmosphere begs me to give this place 4 STARS! Well worth it. I would have gave them 5 but the bathroom was overflown with water from the toilets I believe, so the lack of cleanliness dropped it to a 4. I also want to note that the drinks are delicious, I think I already said that but it was such a great experience that I have to reiterate my joy! I hope you all have a great time there, and park two block down, its free .

I am very disappointed with a takeout presentation! Bar Louie has long been a favorite casual go-to eatery for me and my friends but today's carryout for lunch in the office has just changed that! First time order from this location so I won't write off the entire chain. I've really enjoyed the Naperville location and the location that closed downtown that use to be located near State St. My friend who placed the order and drove over to pick up lunch called the restaurant immediately after we unpacked to express our grave displeasure with the missing ingredients from our chicken nachos, from the spoonful of dried up chicken cuts, to the day old looking black beans & cold queso. The entire meal was an overall disappointment. This sub-par meal that doesn't match the service and quality of our usual Bar Louie experience. We decided to pack it all up and return it for refund and order lunch elsewhere. A $48 lunch in the office should on a Monday should be well enjoyed don't you think?? Two stars only because they offered to fix it, but who has time or patience on Monday lunch hour for a re-do. Do it right the first time, that’s what you’re in business to do! It was returned and refunded. We had lunch of Panera Bread instead.

This happened sometime ago and now I finally want to share my story I was in here with my bestfriend and someone slipped something into my drink and because of that it made me act very unusual to the point I was kicked out of this place by management and was told to never come back again at that time manager who was upset and had me escorted out the bar sent me and my friend away and I couldn’t even barely walk I didn’t know where I was or anything I told my friend take me to the hospital and I was tested positive for ketamine. I will not put the date we was there but ladies be very careful when at this bar this is a known college bar and everyone knows this who live in Chicago. I am okay now and no harmful damage was done to me but I made this so that whoever spiked my drink will know that I remember everything and that the way that manager treated me as if I could help the way I was acting which I couldn’t because I didn’t know until the next morning. That I was drugged with ketamine so ladies and even gentlemen please be safe and aware at this bar peace and love

Loved going to Morgan's back in the day. This place has changed. The Food is pre prepared frozen garbage, super slow service, rude staff who think that they're doing you a favor by getting you a drink. It gets dangerous at night too. There's always some drama here going on which is why they have armed security now. They close early because the customers were causing problems late at night and pissing off students and residents. Still, even with the early close, the afterparty leaks into the street and it gets ratchet. Definitely not a family establishment or a place I'd go out with coworkers. Unfortunately, this has become the crown Jewel of Maxwell street. UIC needs to do better. This establishment is dragging down the entire neighborhood and reputation of the university.

Ryan greeted me immediately as I entered the building. I was a little frustrated as I’m from Wisconsin and was unfamiliar with the parking box situation so I had a question, he answered with no hesitation. Ryan is very polite, professional, attentive and engaging. Now a days you don’t find many waiter/waitresses with his energy, it was very refreshing. After a very long day and dealing with traffic frustrations, I am happy I decided to stop in and had the pleasure of meeting Ryan. If/when I come back this way I will definitely stop in to see if he’s working! Additionally my food was extremely hot when it made it to the table, that is definitely different from back home. Me and my friend went in around 1pm and it took a while to get served, there was only one server and about 5-6 other tables she had to attend to. The chicken wings were tiny but tasty and the decor in the bathrooms was crazy! I know it’s a bar but there were kids having lunch with their parents and I was uncomfortable myself looking at the pictures in the bathroom. We also got the pitcher of strawberry lemon sangria (the vodka in it put me on the floor be careful) it was tasty. Everything was fairly expensive i spent $41 (after we split the bill including tip and tax) on 10 baby wings and two glasses of sangria.

I’ve been going to Bar Louie for months, and I always sit at the Bar when David is Behind there. Today he was pretty Busy but he always takes good care of me and my friends so I didn’t mind having to wait for him to give me And my friends His undivided attention, its amazing how he always smiles no matter what, His charming ways are just as appreciated as his Drinks. Today He made Us these Two delicious drinks that He still haven’t Decided names for which I told Him I’ll help him out with because they aren’t on the Menu. I highly recommend going to go see him. I’ve worked in the food / bev industry for years. Over then past 4 years I felt that the bar Louie brand has gone down. But this location has not. I sat at the bar today and as an old manager for a bar I can tell you right now this place is clean. The service is welcoming and the vibes are top NOTCH. Ashton was my bartender, she was attentive and kind. Plus $2 mimosa on the weekends is a win win. Overall Bar Louie has a place in heart as it did when I was college student. Make sure you tip folks or fight the power to make sure people in this industry are paid well. We all love going out and the people who service us aren’t thanked enough. Visit Bar Louie!! Almost everything was good, nice cocktails, good food and atmosphere until the end. Beside bartender in some shorts and crocs that look unproffesional, she gave me the bill and I added gratuity and sign, but after that she just added on top of that Extra tip 18% that is kinda included, but she didn't mention that before and is not displayed on the summary...that was so bad and looks like they are trying to steal from you even though you tip them well, so making 45% tips on $150+ is maybe too much especially when they are hiding it from you!!!

Good range of food, discounts on aps Weekdays before 7, half price burger Tuesdays. Came with a friend to watch MNF. I had an "New old Fashion" and we ordered the chicken quesdilla, good bar. For my main I ordered the all nighter burger. Complete with candied bacon and fried egg that explodes after your first bite. Great UIC bar on the corner, big restaurant, lots of space and tables, bar seating available. Protip- parking is $3 in the UIC parking lot same street end of block. Good food for the $, filling good service. Need a desert grab a donut with the Carmel sauce.

Awesome service. First and foremost: Cool security guard, awesome bartenders and waitresses. Always attentive and polite. I come once every 2 weeks and try something new every-time. I will say that my app of choice is the calamari. Great eats. When one food item was taking a little linger than expected the bartender hooked it up w some bombs. Sports playing on the screens at the bar. The drinks are delicious - stiff pour. So far my bill for a few drinks and some eats for two has been $85-120. They could definitely play better music. Thats my only complaint.

I’ve dined in before years ago and the food was not great. Recently I decided to give them another shot. I ordered a flat bread to go and a chicken club. When I went to pick up my order the lady handling it drops the bag and it does a whole flip and she just handed it to me like everything was going to be ok. When I opened the bag the ranch that was in there for the flat bread had exploded everywhere. The flatbread I ordered had chicken and the chicken looked grey. It was definitely not fresh and tasted disgusting. I should have not given them a second shot.

Ok! We made it a lil bit before happy hour & let’s just say our wings & drinks were ON POINT!!! Jessie & Danielle was the best servers I’ve encountered in a while!!! They were attentive (even during rush hour) and made us feel welcomed! Definitely go here & get the Lemon drops, OKAY ?!!!!! Manager Mary got a good team on her schedule… Eddie was wonderful too !!

So.. we are visiting from out of town and staying in a hotel. Our order was delivered. We specifically asked for ketchup with our order. Instead received 6 side of garlic mayo. We called, and they say...want to talk to a manager? It will be 15 minutes. No. I am 5 hours from home, in a hotel, at 12:30a. I just want my ketchup for my burgers and fries. P.S. our tuna was burnt.

Had a Great time and was treated very well by Agustin. He was very helpful and made several suggestions for us. The food is hot and very flavorful. The server was very accommodated to the group. Will be back.

This is one of my favorite Bar Louie’s in the Nation. The music is a vibe. There is one waitress that’s so amazing every time I come with my sister Tateana. I believe her name is Briana. She is literally the kindest heart and her customer service is top notch. The lemon drops are great and the food of course is always amazing. I love happy hour.

Was told to sit anywhere we wanted; sat at the bar and the manager Mary, told me and my friend that the seats were taken. Two guys sat down after us and she quickly went to the bar to service them. That was weird, how can you ask two ladies to give our seat up for two men, when the seats are clearly first come first served.

I love coming to bar Louie. Natalie took care of us and she was so wonderful and delightful, she made sure to keep checking on us and overall just a great personality. She was super nice and patient and I always appreciate that when I go out I nightly recommended.

What I ordered based on their menu photo and what I got were two totally different things. I know that generally the manufactured photo will look better than the real thing but I feel like I got catfished right now. This was some honey with a little cajon seasoning sprinkled on top. I also waited 30 minutes for it.

Great, friendly service. We stopped in a drink and apps. Nice bar drinks and tasty dishes. Great place to catch sports games. Street parking and not far from covered garage parking. The music was memorable and made us stay longer than originally planned. Will definitely visit again!

Prices and food quantity have gotten completely out of control. The $8 tomato basil soup is pictured below and has less volume than a side sauce. Incredibly overpriced for what’s provided.

Good special on Tuesdays for burgers, they're around half off. The burger was pretty good, nothing too special though. Lots of TVs with a lot of variety. Gets pretty noisy but thatll happen in a bar and grill. I'd recommend it if you go on a Tuesday for the cheaper burgers.

I loved the energy the waiter Claudia had. She serviced 3 of us at my table with so much professionalism but also being a good spirit. I’ll literally be going back to catch those vibes again soon.

Large portions for a reasonable price. Burgers are $5 on Tuesdays and our appetizer was 50% off today. The atmosphere is pretty relaxed and there's a lot of seating options. Service was a bit slow (friend got get mac n cheese wayyy too late but on the house).

I just have quinoa chop salad. The salad is good but the quinoa and toasted flatbread only seen on top of the salad. In the middle, only greens. I wish they can put some more toasted flatbread and quinoa.
