I really want to enjoy this cute and cozy bar, but the insufferable and RUDE bartenders really dull the experience. Last night I went to the bar and asked for a non-alcoholic drink, and was interrogated with multiple questions like "why are you here if you're not drinking alcohol?" and "who drinks something like that?". This went on for about five minutes until they left me alone. Criticizing my non-alcoholic drink order went on for far too long. We felt uncomfortable and ultimately ended up leaving without ever getting properly served. I'm sure the bartender intended for the encounter to be a joke, but repeatedly asking someone why they aren't drinking alcohol is EXTREMELY unprofessional. I am here to spend money and if I want a non-alcoholic drink, I don't want to be questioned, "why?". It is not the bartender’s business to ask why a patron is ordering a non-alcoholic drink. A bar should not be discouraging designated drivers or other reasons that a customer may be choosing to order a mock-tail. I went to Anodyne instead and was served my order quickly and with no questions asked. I have had similar unpleasant experiences at Bar Uno with a different bartender, and I would appreciate if the staff received some training on polite customer service. I want to patronize our local establishments and really hope that this otherwise nice bar levels up with their customer service. Thank you.
As regular patrons of Bar Uno, my wife and I cannot recommend this establishment enough. From the expertly crafted cocktails to the warm and welcoming atmosphere, it is truly a gem in the city. And speaking of cocktails, their old fashioned is simply the best in town. The bartenders are knowledgeable and always willing to make a recommendation based on your personal taste. The menu is also noteworthy, with a great selection of small plates and entrees that are as delicious as they are visually stunning. But what really sets Bar Uno apart is the impeccable service. The staff is attentive without being overbearing, and they always make us feel right at home. It's clear that they take pride in what they do and are passionate about providing a memorable experience for their customers. We'll continue to visit Bar Uno for years to come.
Ryan & Steve, thank you so much for your hospitality, kind conversations, and immediate impeccable service. We wish our visit to Bar Uno wasn't as brief; unfortunately we didn't have much time this evening to enjoy your ambiance. The time we were there was great, we decided the pit stop to your bar made our evening memorable. We had walked in earlier to Anodyne which was fun with pool tables and lots of laughter, however we wanted something just a bit more intimate. We chatted with some locals that we would love to socialize - they directed us to Bar Uno ensuring an intimate experience. Thank you for the welcome, the delicious Mezcal Paloma with Tahine and your authentic Old Fashioned, my husband loved it.

Best cozy bar with fun games! Go with your friends/buddy/love ones and you will definitely enjoy the moment! Good vibes and casual atmosphere. The owner(?) He is the funniest and very kind man! Mr. Sticky is very generous and friendly. We will be back soon! My advice to visit this place is the bar is small, not able to get in after the busy time. Just because of the capacity and safety (?) reason. Please plan ahead to visit here, be kind to others.
I came with a group of friends post River of Lights. We loved the welcoming environment to play games, have my friends' dog with us, and in general, enjoy ourselves without feeling out of place. Steve is an attentive bartender who made great Cinna-ciders. The music was a bit loud at times and made it hard to hear friends, but was not at an obnoxiously high decibel. Overall, we're glad we stopped by! We will definitely be back!
Absolutely love this place! For sure my favorite bar in town. I go here either on Monday evenings or before a movie down town with my girlfriend. Steve is a wonderful bartender with a load of personality. The bar is very tiny n even dive-ish. It probably seats 20-30 people max. Great place if you're looking for a chill and comfy place. They also have cool movies playing on their tv.
Think I found my new bar. The cocktail menu is amazing, if not a bit overwhelming lol . Every drink I tried was great, bartender here really knows his stuff. Really enjoyed the intimate atmosphere of this place, it was nice to have a few cocktails while playing a board game with my wife. Prices were incredible as well. Will definitely be coming here more often.
Small and quaint place. I haven't had a cocktail I didn't like there and they always have new ones to try. I don't go there often, but it's a nice place away from the big crowds. Works as a pregamer to shows at moonlight lounge or sunshine theatre for sure. They have some card games and a few table games available and you can bring in your own food.
Cool little bar located right near Sunshine Theater. We popped in here for a drink while we were killing time before dinner. Bartender seemed super knowledgeable and made great drinks. My Martini was perfect. It is a very small bar though so don't plan on getting a huge group in here. Nice to pop in with a date or a few friends. I will be back.
Great little bar to stop in at on a firday night bartender is upbeat and quick, makes good cocktails and has a quick wit, the atmosphere is good, the space feels a little loud but it is decieving, you can hear everyone at your table. The decor is fun and you can see the flair .
Dog friendly bar with pineapple juice. Pretty women. Owner is a great dude. Will frequent from now on. I recommend this place for people who don't like loud smoky dance clubs but still like the bar scene. Next to the historic Sunshine Theater where large acts perform regularly.
Lovingly referred to as the local's industry bar - this tiny space will not disappoint with its fast, fun, service + good vibes + funny customers. 4/5 due to strange smell always available when sitting closer to the bathroom door but not really the staffs fault (hopefully).
Everything was dope except for the bartender. We came by to have a night cap and he cut us off after 3 drinks. Lol. We were singing Backstreet boys acapella and everyone was getting in to it and singing along but he didnt like it so he turned up the music. What a Deush
Awesome bar with cool people and great drinks. Very fun local crowd. Bartender was on point, funny, and helpful. And yes, he was also good at keeping an eye on folks when they need to be cut off, that's how ya do it. And yes, it's small but that's the charm!
Ask for Stew.... Not the soup.... duh! Stew is a great bartender and one of the locals. Dogs are allowed and e-cigarettes are not, so vape elsewhere. A small bar with a warm vibe. A bit loud on crowded nights for a date but for a few friends it’s perfect.
Bar Uno is one of the best spots in Albuquerque. It's tiny, so don't try taking a big group here. It's good for an intimate date, or if you have a group of 4 or less. They have games, great drinks, and welcome dogs. I go a little too often …
The bartender made me extremely uncomfortable. (Young man with a mustache and tattoos) I went in to get a drink and asked for a light beer and a double Jameson. He told me he would only give me a single I kindly asked if that was a New
The bartender was absolutely awesome I was buzzed and can't remember his name but he was a bald guy from Ohio and he was just a really chill dude made you feel at home and made a KILLER old fashioned. Will definitely be there again
This place was amazing. It's very small, but a really cool, very relaxed and cozy atmosphere. My partner and I felt at home immediately. Great patrons, awesome bartender. I'll be stopping here anytime I find myself in ABQ.
This bar is the smallest full service bar I have ever patronized. I'm told it's the smallest bar in New Mexico. I've been to MANY bars in other states. This bar has them all beat as the smallest. Also the service is good.
Very nice. Like the neighborhood bar we all search for good people and great drinks. Old and new drinks for everyone. End of 2016 ringing in the last few days. 1 year later same ppl to end 2017. Great place.
Drinks were less than mediocre and the bartender was rude to most of the customers he interacted with, and they weren't being drunkards or acting belligerent in any way shape or form so it was uncalled for.
An authentic, small and cozy place with fine choice of beers and spirits. Furthermore, I've met here the greatest bartender who doesn't sell alcohol to drunk people and talks to them properly. Pressing F!
Great tiny bar to catch a buzz in before a show at one of the nearby venues, or as a destination itself. The bartender is a true master and can steer your night in the right direction. Green Fairy ftw.
This is a very small bar but it does not disappoint. It had a food craft beer selection and a good selection of cocktails. The service was great. It’s comfortable and quaint and well with a visit.
The atmosphere is great, the drinks are reasonably priced, and Steve the bartender is not only knowledgeable on craft cocktails, he is also incredibly personable..... Just don't spill your drink!
It was a nice little old bar but they overcharged my card. I gave a 10 dollar cash tip my bill was $28.50 and they charged $34.00 I guess he felt that I needed to tip him $15.50 instead of $10.00
Everytime I come here, I am greeted and the service is second-to-none. Love the selection and cocktail concoctions offered here. It's a cozy, no BS spot to have a drink and a good conversation.
This place is so cute! Had to update my review since I was able to actually get a table here , very tiny bar with a mostly millennial crowd, drinks were good and there were cute dogs :)
Great cocktails, great location, great bar staff! Steve and Diego are the best bartenders in town.

Great little pocket bar, good selection of local beer, super friendly staff. Well worth a visit whether you're just off work, getting ready to go out, or wrapping up with a nightcap.
Great place!!! Drinks are very good and the bartender will make you something special if you don't know what you want. Ask for nuts and berries. Chambord, Frangelico, half and half.
This place is a gem!! So cozy and open late on Mondays which is hard to find in ABQ. The drinks are made with care, and the bartenders extremely kind. So happy to have found this!
Cute pub, cozy. Not for big groups. Nice for a quick little refreshment before a movie. Music playing at a level to have a nice conversation with friends without having g to yell.
The bar owner made the experience! Not your typical dive bar. It had well made drinks, that time went into perfecting. I’ll be back for the honey bitters based Old Fashion!
Bar Uno has a super hip cozy vibe, and the bartender Stuart is a mix master genius. Give him a Spirit of your choice and he will give you the drink of your dreams! 10/10

Told the bartender I love tequila based cocktails and proceeded to make the best one I've ever had! Cute little hidden gem in the heart of downtown l. ♥️ …
I love this place. It is small and cozy. The bartenders are very kind and remember their regulars. Plus dogs are allowed, which always makes a bar 10 times better.
Really incredible bar. Stuart is the man and one of the best bartenders in Albuquerque. Makes great drinks. Smells nice. Has a sweet side. Love that dude. …
Where to start.. staff are INCREDIBLY helpful and friendly. I would develop an alcohol dependence if it were any closer. Great place to meet family and friends.
I absolutely love this little bar. I love that it is small and it's a nice, chill ambiance. Great for those who like good drinks without needing to feel posh.
Absolutely love this joint, kind of hesitant to write a review about this gnarly place only because I'd like to keep this wonderful bar to myself......
Best bar in Albuquerque hands down. Great bartenders, regulars, drinks. It's not a fancy crazy cocktail place, just a great, small, intimate bar.
The most dog-friendly bar! My pup loves visiting each time we are in ABQ.

The Mezcal paloma is absolutely disgusting. I'm sure this place has better offerings, but that one rocked my tastebuds in an unpleasant way.
Fun unpretentious neighborhood bar. It's exactly what it says it is on the sign. Good drinks amazing bartenders. What more could you want.
Asked for something not gross and he gives me the vampire. God bless fav spot for a bad movie in the background and a tasty drink. …
Great place to meet people and get into conversations. Bar tenders are ace, especially Steve. Very welcoming to all. What a bar should be
Like how small it is, not too many people. Bartender was kinda nice, I think his name was Steve? Might come back if it's not too busy.
great bar. friengly bartender steve and patrons. friendly atmosphere, great place to talk to people. they started my night off right.
Great bar to sit and have a cocktail. Bartenders are always fun and friendly. Major plus is they allow your 4 legged buddies in!!!
Small place as others have noted. I wouldn't go there with a large group but it's a cool place to hang out and have a drink or two
Another great experience. Whiskey sour speciality is a must & always the best environment/people & of course, bartender …
Great place. The bartender Stewart is awesome. It was busy, and he still took care of everyone. Remember 10 is a crowd here!
Great bar to enjoy a cocktail and the downtown scene in Albuquerque. Good selection of spirts and beer. Fun cocktails, too.
Steve is an amazing bartender and he is fun to talk to, we always enjoy stopping here before a show to have some drinks.
When it's not crowded it's a great place and when the music is at a reasonable level you can actually talk to people.
Amazing place! Highly recommend! Two reviews for one stars are from underagers who weren't in the bar... ignore them
Ambience. Dog friendly. Great service. Perfect place to hang out and unwind after a concert lets out for a bit.
Hidden gem! Great selection of local beer, and impressive mixed drinks. Owner is a superbly entertaining guy.
I think this is the place my neighbor goes & he recommends it highly, so I will be going to check it out soon
Fantastic little bar right off route 66. Friendly and knowledgeable bar tender, Steve made our visit unique.
Great customer service and unique hand crafted cocktails. Bartenders are always welcoming and knowledgeable.
One of the best bars to visit in downtown ABQ. Fantastic craft cocktails and exceptionally great service!!!
Best cocktails in Albuquerque, friendly staff. Cozy atmosphere, good for couple or small groups of friends.
Warm and inviting decor mixed with great cocktails and a fun bartender have made this my new favorite bar.
One of the best in service in downtown. Love the vibe, bartenders, and drinks! Truly a downtown treasure.
Steve is the best bartender in America. Look it up.

Beautiful low key drinking establishment in the shadow of the mindless thump a mere 2 blocks yonder.
Always a favorite for a nice cocktail and a cozy sit-down. Tiny spot, but that's part of it's charm!
Tiny bar with friendly staff and a long cocktail list. Great place to go you just want to hang out.
Margarita I had here was the best and I love that pets are welcome too. My new go to bar to chill.
Bartender is friendly and knows his stuff. Great place. Come ealry as its small and fills up fast
Very cute place. Unfriendly staff not as knowledgeable as you would expect. Overpriced cocktails.
Tight for seating. Supposed to be trendy but really just a tiny bar on the side of the road.
Steve and Stewart are awesome, both are helpful and supportive. The atmosphere is inviting
Bartender had a fun twisted sense of humor. Great for a date night before the improv show
Cozy spot. The bartender was nice and attentive and our old fashioned drink tasted great!
Steve was a great bartender. Nice place to get some drinks with a small group of friends
Steve is the best bartender in Albuquerque. Best dive bar in the state.
Great little bar, cool staff, dog friendly, fun people-watching spot.
Very legit establishment. Great drink options. Really dig the vibe!
Nice little bar right downtown. Great bartender and good drinks.
Great atmosphere and bartenders. All drinks were on point.
Incredible vibes. Great bourbon selection.
