Very disappointed with the service tonight, every time I come back home (Brazil) I go to bar do alemão with my family, I am brazilian but I’ve been living in the USA for the past 21 years I’ve been a server and manager of restaurants for the past 20 years and I get very upset when I get bad service because I know how the restaurant industry works. With that being said I am very disappointed with the horrible attitude we got from the moment we walked in! Food was not great it got to the table before the drinks and I sended back because the Fries look burned they took it back And gave us another one that wasn’t much better, then we finished we wanted to order more drinks and food but the waiter took forever to come back to the table so we decided to just leave before cursing someone out. I am never going back .

Very poor service. Brazil is different in general from other countries when it comes to restaurant service, they're not tipped the same so they're not as attentive. As a people, they also don't have the customer service drive some countries have. The food was delicious but the service extremely disappointing, especially at these prices. The table was very dirty, we ordered portions and the table next to us got small plates for their portions, we had to take from the larger plate with toothpicks and our hands. We would have to call the waiter over multiple times before he actually came and when we mentioned something he ignored us and walked away. I am not a fan, will not recommend. Many smaller places will give you much better service.

The bar (restaurant) is pretty good, we ate there twice and I'm not the biggest fan of german food. But the plates serve two people and the atmosphere is nice. They have a flag in the ceiling and a souvenir shop inside. The waiters are not very polite, we were served by 3 different waiters in 2 different days, so probably it's accurate. The bar doesn't look very big from the outside, but it's very large inside.

It took them more than half an hour to serve us a disappointing portion of aipim com bacon, while apparently all the tables around ordered the typical dishes offered in the place and where served real fast (perhaps that was the secret...). Anyway, still a good place if you are only planning to have a beer (try one of their Submarines) and enjoy typical German food.

I went there twice for dinner - sat once in the big salon in the back, and once near the souvenir shop. Service was way better upstairs! Food tastes really good and the portions are well served. You MUST try the submarine beer with the Steinhäger shot! It's awesome plus you get to take the small mug home as a souvenir! We took 5 of them with us lol. Prost!

A must when visiting Curitiba! Traditional pub, with a German theme. Nice people, good food! The french fries portions are really generous! (Ask for black moustard) The traditional Submarin is a must! It comes with a small cup you can keep as souvenir ,! …

It is no longer a place to recommend. Years ago, this restaurant was great! But now a days, it is a touristic bar, food is poor, beer is low quality, but expensive. There are many other German style restaurants in Curitiba better than there!

Going through the website photos I'm quite upset now I didn't try the food but I managed to walk around and take some photos, it's really beutiful and well decorated also some cool props to take photos. Hope to visit there soon!

The place is very attractive. It's most known for its famous submarine, a drink of beer and Steinhäger (you must taste it). I didn't like very much their service and got a bit disappointed with their poor attention.

Excelent place to talk and to eat German Food. I would like to recomend the Carne de Onça dish, it's a delicious raw meat dish and to drink I recomend Submarinos, it's a beer mug with a dose of steinhaeger.

An establishment that needs to be visited while In Curitiba. Wasn’t overly blown away by the food but the draft beer was good and the environment unique compared to other restaurants. Worth a visit.

Service was not very "accurate" but they do care about customers. Atmosphere was great, food was tasty but I was expecting the apfelstrudel to be just like in Germany.

If you want Oktoberfest atmosphere in Brazil..... Complete with music and Weißwurst, thats the place to go. Beer is quite expensive though compared to the regular chop

The environment is really nice and draft beer too. The only negative thing is that all the food menu is for 2 people... Not very convenient for people traveling alone

Bad staff - got told we couldn’t play an innocent game of cards. They made us feel like we weren’t welcome. Also very cold in the winter months - they need heaters.

Great food, we had the Eisbein a pururuca (R$71,00) which served well 2 people and the staff was friendly.

This place is HUGE, has a great vibe, and a large selection of decent food and beer. Well worth a look!
