I needed a removals company at very short notice due to house move chain. I was asked to complete a form detailing what needed to be moved and was provided a quote. I have to say i was nervous as I didnt have time to check the company too well and also it was an hourly contract rather than fixed rate but I felt relieved as I had found a company that could fit me in! So, when the two guys turned up day 1 to pack I was very happy as they were courteous and knew what they were doing. They got on with packing the house without complaint and were positively polite to my mother who sometimes gets nervous of people in the home. After a morning of packing they departed and then arrived on time the next day for the big move. Getting to the new place we then had to wait for keys but the team remained patient and friendly. Once we gained access they got on with the task of moving everything in and did this efficiently and quickly.. even when I asked for specific requests for location of belongings and then changed my mind! So, in review, a great team, organised and can be completely trusted to move you. Perhaps a little more expensive than some quotes I had previously but they let me down and Barans provided the service i required and as mentioned earlier at very short notice. Many thanks!

I would give this company more stars if I could. Stefan was on it from the moment I contacted the company. Very swift responses and not at all badgering or pushy. When everything fell through he was very kind and understanding. He managed to fit my new move date in (cancellation did cost but Stefan was very apologetic and I understood that it cannot be for free as he lost a lot of money). On the day of my move I had the most lovely group of chaps looking after me. That is exactly what they did, look after me. They were kind, funny, stress relieving and swift! The chap in charge was very aware that I was stressed (normal moving stress) and kept checking on me and reassuring me. I have moved lots and never felt like the movers really cared until I met Barans. I asked for the beds to be reassembled in my new house. Not a problem at all. Although I am sure they were tired they never stopped working hard, being kind and making me laugh with their funny banter. I would highly recommend the company as a whole. Very impressed. Had to move out of my partners place after a distressing breakup. Stefan was incredibly sympathetic and fitted me in last minute. On both the pick up day, and delivery day (consequtive days) Barans team were on time, and very quick and efficient. They took care with my items. 1 item was damaged in transport (wooden storage box) and the team proactively managed and organised to have it repaired and returned. Callum, Matthew, Mark and Chris were all punctual, friendly, communicative, and helpful. You could tell they took pride in thier work, and were consistently in good spirits (even in the rain!). Would definitely recommend.

Negatives - Very expensive for removals and storage. Costs not clearly explained. Charge by the hour. It looks cheaper on paper to set price companies but wasn't. You pay for a lot of smoking time! Also, Furniture was put together incorrectly so had to be done again and lack of consideration for customers requests. Such as, take your shoes off on new carpets. These were stained during the move. Also, Wouldn’t recommend using the storage option. Weekly charge is high and was charged £400 to transport goods to strawberry hill Positives. Respond quickly, easy to book, most of the staff were respectful.

We had the “Dream Team”. Unbelievable team, so polite and helpful. Their banter between themselves added to the experience. My goodness they are machines. So strong, and they do this everyday. Mathew Baran was a calm confident assessor. Spot on His old man Steve Baran was always checking with my wife and I that we were happy with the Service. Really reasonable price for what we received. Barans moved our belongings from the house we were selling into storage on a very hot day in August. The move was complicated as items had to be sent to different locations. We were extremely stressed but the Barans team were lovely - kind, calm, cheerful and reassuring. Stefan in the office dealt expertly with our changing requirements and gave brilliant advice. We are using them again soon to move into our forever home and it’s a relief to know that the removals side of things will be dealt with so professionally.

We had a nightmare scenario. Moving from London to Devon just before Christmas and finding out our booked removal company were dubious to say the least. Really good company to work with. We had to move my mum's furniture to 2 separate addresses. Stefan was very accommodating in moving the removal date at short notice. His team were a good bunch of people to work with, did a couple of extra bits which I hadn't originally requested, and even did an extra drop-off which was very much appreciated. We had 4 men and 3 removal vans for our move from a 3 bedroom period cottage. They were very professional, courteous, careful and thoughtful with our furniture and possessions at both ends. This morning I had a shipping crate arrive at a storage unit with no tools or support to unpack it. I called Barans and within an hour a two man team were on site to unpack the crate. Absolutely fantastic. Callum, G and Dave were brilliant in moving my flat and storage in South London to our new house in Caterham. They were very consciencious about precious items such as my grandfather clock and piano, courteous throughout, couldn't recommend these guys more.

We moved recently from London to Sussex and used Barans Removals. They were recommended by a family member. They were efficient and quick the move was extremely straight forward from start to finish we had no issues and can not recommend them highly enough.
