Absolutely incredible find. Hands down the best vegan food we’ve had in Thailand. Anybody who is looking for good vegan food in Bangkok is in for a real treat if they come here. We had the cheeseburger and the pasta of the day with the porcini mushroom sauce, and it was so good we came back a second time - we were only in Bangkok for three days, so that says a lot! The second time we treated ourselves to their desserts as well - the peanut butter chocolate square was excellent, but the real MVP was the salted caramel-filled chocolate balls. The owners were super friendly and chatted with us while we enjoyed the cool and down-to-earth vibe of the place. They even let us play a little guitar on the acoustic that was sitting in the corner - and also turned down the house music a little so we could hear ourselves play. It was incredibly considerate and sweet of them. The guitar was also in perfect tune, come to think of it, which also says a lot! If we end up in Bangkok again we will surely go back to this place. Unbelievably delicious food, by all standards. No contest, I wish I could give it more than five stars. You have to go here!

EN: first time visiting this place, I met Edoardo the Italian nut/vegan cheese maker and chef. It was a great experience, my friend and I let Edoardo suggested us what to select for dinner. Worthy to say, I’m not vegan and surely not fan for veggies. The food was fabulous, incredibly tasty and mouthwatering. In my opinion, this restaurant deserves to be in my personal Top10’s BKK Restaurants! IT: prima volta in questo piccolo ma socievole laboratorio/ristorante. Io e il mio amico abbiamo conosciuto Edoardo che ci ha spiegato il concept e la preparazione dei suoi formaggi vegani, pietanze e kombucha (té fermentato). Sapori armoniosi, sicuramente da sperimentare prima o poi se si è in zona Bangkok-Sukhumvit. Il posto è facile da raggiungere con la BTS Ekkamai, a piedi o con un motorino. Inutile dire che non sono vegano o un fan delle verdure ma questa cena mi ha convinto per due motivi: semplicità e gusto. Prezzo? Affordabile e giusto. Altamente consigliato!

Let me start with the smoked spicy burger. It's a good burger, above average I would say.. The density of the patty is good, quite meaty. The garnishes and condiments are on point. I suspect that the burger is not actually smoked, but enriched with liquid smoke flavouring. That brings me to the cheese platter. You can taste that they put efford in developing the cheeses, since they are vegan it's quite a necessity. But all the cheeses have the same creamy base, so it's more or less 5 the same cheeses with different tastes. One has dried chillies on top, the other italian herbs. Then they have a truffle flavoured one and a smoked (both artificial flavours) and a natural one. It was a good lunch, don't get me wrong, but if I were them I would invest in a cheese that has a different texture instead of all cream cheeses. The burger was exquisite though, so that kinda pulled things even.. Almost 1000 baht for 2 burgers and a cheese platter..

This place is legendary. We went there with a couple of friends and had the most amazing time. Definitely some of the best vegan food I've had, ever. We tried the Cheese Burger, the pasta, spicy chickpea salad, the lasagna (godly) and the vegan cheese platter. You NEED to try the vegan cheese platter and i cannot stress this enough. it needs to be tried. I can't believe I've lived my whole life without it so far but I am definitely going back for it. It's homemade, with regional ingredients and lots of love, same as all the other dishes. The lovely lady who runs this place is incredibly open and friendly, chatted with us a lot and made us feel like we were right at home. The whole atmosphere of this place is incredibly cozy and all of us (those with vegan and with omnivore diets too) were thoroughly impressend. A BKK stay without a visit here isn't complete in my opinion!

Best tasting vegan food iv had in all of Thailand! The girlfriend and I toured a bunch of different places on our trip to Thailand and this was our favorite spot hands down. The menu and is simple in terms of number options but the flavor on everything was outstanding and the quality was consistent every time. The owners and staff are all extremely friendly and a pleasure to hang out with during and after eating. The nut cheese is an absolute must try, my favorite being the truffle one. Literally better than any actual or vegan cheese I've ever had, even all the high end cheeses I was fortunate enough to try in France. Can't recommend this place enough!

At first we ordered from this place with food panda to our hotel and we loved it so much we had to go there personally because it was just that good! We ordered the lux sandwich, the porcini pasta, salad rice with the nutcheese and lasagna. The food was at 30 minutes already there and we loved every single thing, especially their version of pasta was amazing and the sandwich!! When we got to the restaurant in person we had the porcini pasta again and the basil tomato pasta, it was awesome! The service was super friendly and we felt awesome when we left the restaurant. I recommend this restaurant to everyone even if you are not vegan.

Oh so delicious!! So pleased I was finally able to try Barefood. The owner, Taksina was super warm and friendly. We had a great conversation. Went there twice during my short stay. Ordered some of the same dishes each time and the quality and flavours were consistent. The cheeses are amazing - the best nut cheese ever! (took some home - wish they shipped to Chiang Mai). We had the Truffle Nutcheese Lux sandwich (no photo-couldn't wait to try it) the Kale and Chickpea salads, Barefood Cheese Burger, Lasagna and Cheesecake. I was totally satisfied every time. Wish I could have gone there more. It's a great reason to go to Bangkok!

Came here based on rave reviews from a vegan friend. Vegan food made by vegans and it’s damn tasty. Got the large cheese plate. Hard to believe it’s not real cheese. Texture is like soft cheeses and they season it very well. I had the spicy burger and it was so filling with a protein forward patty made of beetroot, tempah, etc. The burger came with a portobello mushroom, lettuce, tomato and spicy mayo type of sauce. Owners are nice and love to explain how they source their local ingredients. As a non vegan, I would even crave the taste of the cashew nut cheese.

Really cute, small place run by a friendly Italian. Went there for breakfast with my girlfriend and ended up ordering half the items on the menu because every dish was so tasty and we just couldn't stop trying more of it. The selfmade pasta was amazing and the burger was handsdown the best I've ever had. You can also watch the chefs prepare your food through the open kitchen. Prices are a little bit above average for Bangkok standards but in my opinion justified by the high quality of the food and therefor well worth it. I'd go back there any day!

Easily the best gourmet vegan cheese I've come across so far. It's the kind of cheese that would be perfect in a platter - the truffle cheese is heavenly ☺️. I bought a big block home. Next time I can get my fix with delivery too. I also tried the cheeseburger while I was there (the whole menu is plant based). Smokey flavours, excellent presentation and warm, homey vibe. Just the right portion size. Simply exquisite! Every vegan in Bangkok should try this place at least once.

This is by far my favorite food in all of Bangkok! The rice bowl and cheeseburger are to die for!! They have mastered vegan cheeses and their creative and inspired dishes leave your mouth watering and craving more. On top of the fantastic eats there is a lovely hip, chill vibe constantly flowing around the large family-style table here thanks to the incredibly kind, warm, and welcoming owners!! I highly recommend Barefood and will be back again and again and again ❤

Cozy little place from the outside with a well lit atmosphere that could use a bit of tidying up on the inside. The menu is simple with a few, but great choices (saw others who enjoyed it). Going earlier will ensure they have not already sold out of food items. The owner is friendly and welcoming, as if into his own home. As I waited, he offered breads and spreads to try free of charge. The lasagne was a filling portion, packed with vegetables.

{Vegan/Veg-friendly} If you’re a cheese-deprived traveler, vegan or otherwise, make time for Barefood. The cheese is phenomenal, as close to the “real” thing as I’ve ever tasted. The truffle, koji, smoked oak, and chili pesto are super flavorful and the texture is perfect. Prices are very reasonable too. It’s right off the Ekkamai BTS stop so there’s no excuse not to visit! I wish I lived in Bangkok just so I could come here all the time.

Beautiful quiet place and friendliest staff, you will for sure spend a good moment there. Was just a little disappointed by the sandwich which was supposed to be signature but probably not the best dish from the menu. (Bread was too dry and not much filling which beside the vegan cream which made it look like something was really missing, contrary to the burger that seemed much more filled) But overall I have spent quite a great time :)

This was my first meal in Bangkok and the bar was set VERY HIGH. The food here is incredible, great service and a knowledgable chef that talks to you about his decisions when it comes to the flavours in the food you’re eating. The burgers we ordered were without a doubt the best vegan ‘meat’ burgers I’ve ever eaten. The cheese is SO good, truly the best vegan cheese I’ve eaten. Will recommend this to anyone coming to Bangkok.

First of all I am not vegan and I always have meat with all my meals. A friend took me to Barefood and I fell in love with the food after the first time. Went to this place twice within one week. I want to say this is the best vegan food i had so far and i will turn myself vegan if I can eat this every day. My favorite dish was the burger (smoked one). Otherwise, service was great and the owner is very friendly too!

My son is a super picky eater so I was so happy to have found a place where he could enjoy healthy and wholesome food (pesto and truffle "cheese" are his top picks) . Khun Oum, the conversational and congenial owner makes the place simply irresistible, glad to report that we are now regulars and make the trip to visit BarefoodBangkok at least once per week. A+ vegan cheese and A+++ service.

I was taken here by some vegan friends, which was great as I am not vegan and never knew this place existed. We shared a medium cheese board and I also had the eggplant sandwich (sorry no photos I was hungry). The cheese is so nice and you would never know it was Vegan. I will be back to get some cheese. The staff were so friendly and personal it was a lovely experience.

If you love cheese, you must visit this place. They make, without a doubt, the best cheese and hamburguers that I've ever tasted in my entire life. I don't live in Bangkok, but every time me and my friends visit the city, we make sure that we have enough time to drop by this amazing shop. I highly recommend anyone to give it a try - you'll be very pleasantly surprised.

I ate inside the restaurant. Food tastes good. Price is ok. Portions don't make sense. Suggesting your customers go to a food court instead for "appetite and budget" is not a great response. Again, price not the issue for good vegan food, but one doesn't go to a restaurant to achieve the same satisfaction as eating a single carrot while paying for a whole meal.

A must visit for all food lovers. The vegan 'cheeseburger' was easily one of the nicest we've found in Bangkok and we will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu. The owners and staff are all so welcoming and the dishes we received were given a thorough explanation of all ingredients and the cooking method used. An amazing find and must visit place!

Absolutely incredible vegan cheese, undoubtedly the best I've ever had. If you're not staying in the area, I promise it's worth going out of your way to come eat here. I used to live in in Los Angeles, which is a vegan hub, and nothing came near the beauty of this cheese. The owners are very genuine and down to earth as well, which is always as plus.

This place is so BOMB. Best vegan burger I’ve had in Bangkok thus far. The housemade cheese selection is incredible. I started with the avocado salad which was superb with a small side of their cashew cheese. Followed by the Smokey & Spicy Burger and the Burger NutCheese. Out of the two the Burger NutCheese was my favorite.

Whether you are vegan or not - as long you love good artisan food - this place is for you! Amazing burgers, amazing kabocha, fantastic cashew cheese and more than all - great service by Taksina! Fabulous vegan food! Had spicy burger, cheeseburger, lasagne and mushroom pasta, all were fabulous. My face was the lasagne special for the day! So was the lemon cheesecake dessert and the brownie. Had sold out of the vegan cheeses but will definitely be back to try before we leave :)

Vegan food , it's a fusion with Italian (touscan) roots and Asian style . Heir You can find very interesting and testing Vegan cheese for me it was a very surprise . Very very good . Recommended also for normal people and for children. If you are in Bkk you must come!!!

The cheese is amazing! Honestly the best I have had in Bangkok. I tried the burger with the smoked cheese and it was well worth it. The place is cozy but maybe a little small for eating there. The only bad thing are the prices. They seem to go up every time.

I had truffle nutcheese sandwich. It was sooo good. Their fig cider was amazing as well. Give me the feeling of drinking kombucha. The only we don't like about the place is they don't have ac. It was super hot there. And that was at night already.

We have been here a few times and never been dissapointed . So, I wanted to review such a lovely place; Cosy atmosphere and they have daily specials(I think everyday) along with the normal menu. The stuff is always kind and prices are reasonable.

One of my favourite vegan restaurants and the BEST vegan cheese I have ever had especially the platter! Highly recommended ended for takeaway and eat in when possible. The staff are super nice and let me organise delivery just after close :)

By far the best plant based cheese in Bangkok! Great atmosphere at the restaurant with lovely staff. Anything on the menu is great but the highlight are the plant based burguers! A must try with the truffle cheese!

Decent place for vegans (but not only). I like their cashew cheese (although it doesn’t came cheap). Small selection of pastry is tasty too. House kombucha is crisp and flavorful, but unfortunately bit too sweet.
