Barnet Cafe is a true hidden gem! This lovely, family-run cafe has won my heart over with its warm, welcoming atmosphere and delicious offerings. I first discovered this charming spot in 2020, and it has since become my regular haunt, a testament to its consistent excellence. One of the standout features of Barnet Cafe is the generosity they bring to every plate. My personal favourite is their mouthwatering steak, a dish that I find myself coming back for time and time again. This restaurant used to be Jenny's (and Wimpy before that I believe) but a few years ago it closed for refurbishment to reopen as the "Barnet Cafe". The original staff from Jenny's (a short guy who did the cooking and a taller guy with a lazy eye who took the orders) were absolutely brilliant - the best service and best food ever, seem to have gone to be replaced with a bunch of amateurs who aren't anywhere near the same league of customer service or efficiency. But the current staff seem to have improved on my latest visit (they actually took my order within a reasonable time - I walked out before ordering the time before) and the food was top notch and delivered quickly. Seems to attract an older crowd of regulars, but if you keep yourself to yourself you'll enjoy a nice breakfast.

Absolutely fantastic place to eat, well prepared and tasty and the service was excellent. My partner is disabled and they do everything they can to accommodate her.

Nice place. Could do with a re vamp decorative and menu. Tables could be larger as very crowded for 4 people. Nice to grab something quick. Shame they copied the original Barnet Cafe in East Barnet and not original to themselves.

Very friendly and nice view of the street. But anytime the chef goes to the back to smoke the smell of the cigarette fills the dinning area. I will personally not recommend it for nonsmokers and those trying to quit smoking. All the same the food tastes good.

That was a great bacon and sausage sandwich. Seriously, absolutely perfect and just what the doctor ordered. Brilliant. Lost 1 star because its cash only which is annoying in this day and age but nothing to do with the food. No pomp or ceremony

The jacket potatoes were too dry and there were not enough beans, service was ok, place needs updating

Worst place ever had breakfast. Horrendous overpriced food. Couldn’t finish it. Also got charged and extraordinary £3 for a flat white that normally comes free of charge in most cafés. A coffee that was bitter and burnt.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The service was excellent and food was very nice.. prices were on the low side so even better. The only thing against it is the place could do with a lick of paint.

It is a great cafe with friendly, professional staff, lovely food and good prices, plus pleasant surroundings. I strongly recommend it. Don't miss out!

Really classic old school greasy spoon vibe here doesn't look like much has changed since the 70s or 80s which is great takes card as well as cash. Good service too.
