I went to Baroona for the first time today, to look for herb seedlings. They have a nursery area as well now. I bought some basil as I already had some other ones. And a sack of straw for my new herb garden. The staff, Anthony and everyone else there was really helpful, very friendly. And even better, they are growing a veggie garden and gave me some fresh veggies, lettuce, baby spinach, and green chard for free! This is real community spirit! Support local businesses! Extra special thank you for the help I received today at Baroonsa. My elderly dog is nearing the end and as we try one last round of arthritis treatment, he is losing his appetite. The staff were so kind and thoughtful making great suggestions of different foods to try as well as giving me samples to bring home - they truly went above and beyond. We actually had a little success and he was feeling well enough to walk me around the paddock before bed.

The most friendly place in Yarra Junction. We buy our chicken feed and cat flea treatment there and their prices are very good. They are nice friendly people who always make us feel welcome. They are starting to stock plants there too and we look forward to spring when we will be sure to check out their stock …

Updated review: Their range is fair, prices reasonable and service okay - quite friendly and helpful. Apparently if they don't have something in stock they may be able to get it in for you (not tried this personally, but good to have the option). Good to have somewhere fairly local so will continue to support.

I recently bought some items from Brad at Baroona Produce over the phone and had them posted to me. Thanks for the wonderful service. Brad even called to make sure the items arrived! These guys genuinely care about their customers and their community.
