I’ve known about Barrington Jewelers for many years but haven’t ever worked with them til now. I had some legacy jewelry from my parents that I wanted to use to create something new. After reading reviews it was clear that Barrington and specifically Mitra (co-owner) were the people to work with. From the moment I walked in to when I picked up the pieces, it was pure joy. Mitra immediately understood my vision better than I did! And came up with a plan to take gems from an old cocktail ring and incorporate my dad’s platinum wedding band into a new right hand ring. When I saw the initial plan we made a few tweaks and the final piece was everything I’d hoped for. We ended up doing a brushed surface on the gold band that held the gems to make them stand out more. Again- a lovely improvement. I had another gold band from my father that I wanted to make something with for my son. They were born on the same day 72 years apart. Mitra suggested making a cross out of the band. I didn’t really understand how that worked but I trusted her so gave the go ahead. We had a few rubies left over from the cocktail ring so incorporated those and engraved the birth dates on the back. The cross turned out lovelier than I’d imagined. I gave it to my 20 year old son for his birthday and he was so touched. Lastly, they suggested I work with an insurance company that just insures jewelry to keep a claim from impacting my larger policy which I did. Got great rates on both pieces. It was so easy and gave me instant peace of mind. Mitra said to me on day one that she was going to work to make them become my jeweler. I am not wealthy and do not own a lot of jewelry- but when I have something I need to buy or have made, they will be the only jeweler I call.

I have been a customer for several years along with my wife. We have purchased watches and small jewelry items and had these items adjusted on occasion. We have always been satisfied with the merchandise and very pleased with the service. I want to tell you about my most recent purchase. We were saddened recently with a theft from our home. My wife's engagement and wedding rings along with a few other items were stolen. After my wife was able to regain her composure and stop crying over her loss, we went back to Barrington Jewelers. I went in first and spend some time with Goen, the owner. He took time to show me not only some rings and loose stones, but spent time educating me as to cut, clarity, etc of the diamonds and gold vrs. platinum rings. He spent time letting me pick out the style and design along with the diamonds and ring that I thought my wife would love. I must say, he told me several times that he would go through the same procedure with my wife and then after any differences that she felt would make her happy, we could have the ring custom-made there in his business at no extra cost. This was amazing! Sure enough, my wife came in a few days later and picked out different styles, stones, etc. but absolutely loved it! Her loss of her beloved rings became much more tolerable. The rings were finished in one day and now she cannot stop looking at her BEAUTIFUL new rings. The bottom line is that Barrington was flexible, charming and wonderful throughout the process, and my wife could not be happier. We recommend Barrington Jewelers.

I brought my Omega in to have what I thought was going to be a simple repair made to the band. I was introduced to Josh Lee who is manager and professional horologist at Barrington Jewels. After having a look at the watch Josh informed me that it wasn't as simple as I had thought but that he would attempt to handcraft a solution to fix my band. It took him several attempts but he was able to make the repair. What I really appreciate was his dedication to doing it right and his customer focused attitude. I value customer service above all else and I can't say enough about the customer service I received from Josh today. His expertise and professionalism are top notch. I live in Chicago but if I need anything outside of a battery replacement I'll make the trip back to Indy because of the way Josh took care of me today.

We recently bought my husband an Oris watch at Barrington Jewels. The staff were extremely helpful and patient as we picked out the perfect one. They never pressed a more expensive option on us and spent a lot of time listening to what we liked about each one in order to pull others from the case that we might like even better. They taught us how to switch our bracelets before leaving and even offered to allow us to bring it back in to have them swapped out. It felt like we were just among friends, not at an intimidating jewelry store where you are scared to look at things for fear of being pressured into buying more than you wanted. We will definitely shop with Barrington again.

Went in to see about replacing a lost earring purchased at Barrington’s. Though that wasn’t possible, the gentleman in charge of watch repairs volunteered to attempt to fix the broken clasp on a watch I had with me. He creatively found a way to fashion a pin since the store didn’t care my brand of watch. I was pleased when he successfully made my watch wearable again. Even more pleasing was that he would accept no payment for his work. That kind of generosity and care for a customer is what demonstrates trustworthiness and a commitment to service that extends beyond simply making a sale.

I went to Barrington Jewels with a ring that belonged to my grandma that I wanted to incorporate into my wedding set. Everyone was super helpful and kind! I took in the original ring and sent some inspiration pictures of what I was thinking. Before setting the stones in the new ring, they allowed me to see the band and try it on to make sure I was happy with it. They also helped me with resizing my original rings and soldering everything together afterwards. I am so pleased with the end result, and I think it looks like it should have come this way from the beginning!

What can I say, I’m no longer a 4 & 1/4 ring size. I hadn’t been able to wear my set (engagement, wedding & anniversary bands) ALL summer. I’d been putting off getting it addressed because I thought it would be a hassle. I was very wrong. I went in on a whim on Friday & Mitra took great care of me sizing me for resizing both my set and right hand ring. She offered for me to leave another ring that I have to get cleaned and polished. I finally got around to going to pick up all of my rings today, and they simply look beautiful and fit. I’m so happy with my experience!

THE BEST JEWELRY STORE IN INDIANAPOLIS! I will never shop for diamonds anywhere else. The owner helped me personally and he was so patient and kind and truly wanted to help us find the best diamond engagement ring. We shopped all the local spots. Reid Nicholes didn’t seem to want to help us because we didn’t come in dressed appropriately I guess (a hoodie and freezing weather ) and Diamonds Direct was WAY over priced I felt like they were trying to pull on over on us. But we felt accepted, seen, and cherished at Barrington. They are our jewelers for life!

My soon to be fiance and I went to many jewelry stores in Indianapolis but Barrington was the best in terms of service, quality, selection and price. We mainly dealt with the owners (both of whom are amazing and incredibly knowledgable) but had some interaction with the other employees (all of whom were great). I can't say enough nice things. The owners are EXTREMELY kind and helpful. They do not pressure you into buying something you don't need but guide you in a direction to show you what you think you might want. It is a great place to buy watches, diamonds, jewelry of all kinds. I would DEFINITLY recommend this place to ANYONE interested in purchasing very nice jewelry. It is not like those other jewelry places that try to sell you anything to make a sale. The people at Barrington Jewelry GENUINELY care about their customers.

This is the second time I’ve come to Barrington with an idea and they again went above and beyond to make it perfect. Not only that, they even arranged a time for me to pick up outside of regular hours so I could have this last minute. Love Barrington! Wonderful, competent, friendly staff!! My fiance took my engagement ring there to be sized, cleaned, and appraised (it is an heirloom) and he raved about how qualified, friendly, and professional the staff are there. The ring was perfect and so sparkly! We just went back to have the prongs adjusted and I had the same experience as him. I hate putting my ring in the hands of another person, but I felt completely comfortable there. Will go back again and again.

Totally unethical and crooks. upon stepping into this store we were sold on a lab grown diamond without a disclaimer that the value would drop significantly. (We would have purchased a real diamond if we knew) We tried to sell back the ring they offered us and they gave us an offer $8,600 less than what we bought it for just a few months later. How you can look into someone eyes and rip them out of almost $9,000 is disgusting and not a place you want to spend your money at.

Tremendous customer service in a family atmosphere. Brought our wedding rings in to get cleaned up after all the months and months of frequent hand washing and hand lotion being applied. Rings started loosing their sparkle. My wife and I were thrilled at the results! Looked brand new and made such a difference when wearing. Excellent customer service. I was able to get a stainless steel dogtag engraved for a special occasion with just a day's notice.Raven took my initial call and Peggy helped me with the order in person. She made sure the item could be engraved with the wording I wanted. I could not be more pleased with the finished product. I can't comment on pricing since I didn't do any comparison shopping but I'm happy with the qualify of the work.

I had bought a pair of earrings for my Aunt and they did not work out for her. We called Barrington and asked if we could exchange them, they said yes. We took them back and they were so helpful in finding a different pair. This is the third time I have been in their store and find them kind and helpful. By far the best customer service I’ve ever received. After being turned away from multiple jewelers for a ring that could not be resized, they were able to help me get a new ring to transfer the stones to and even customized the ring when some of the stones didn’t fit. Great experience purchasing a luxury watch! Josh, head of the watch department, has a passion for quality timepieces and customer service. He educated me on the various products and brands helping me find a beautiful watch in my price range. I plan to point anyone in the market for a luxury watch to Barrington to check out his selection.

They sold a ring that upon resell back they appraised it thousands of dollars less. Whenever we got the ring we were not aware that lab grown diamonds will lose their value 90% when resold back. If I were to sell it back to them they will sell it back to the original price. It’s not ethical to not disclose this information to the client.

I have been using Barrington for at least 15 years. All my new and old items get cleaned, repaired or modified there. They have wonderful staff and the owners also are in a lot of the time.
