I had not gone to the dentist in 3-4 years due to dental anxiety that I get from having scary moments at a past dental office I used to go to. I went on yelp to find a great dentist office near me. I found Bay Park Dental and after my first appointment, I new I was going to love it. When I went for my second appointment, I went in very scared and full of anxiety. While sitting in the chair, the dental assistant was so gentle and kind. She comforted me and she took my mind off of everything with some small talk. Then when Dr. Miller came in, I remembered how understanding she was during my first visit for my initial X-rays and cleaning appt. This day I went in for a large filling and crown that I had been avoiding for years due to my fear of dentists. Wow, Dr. Miller. and her team talked me through the entire procedure. They comforted me and understood my fears. I felt so relaxed and at ease. The procedure was quick and went smoothly. I usually would have anxiety knowing I have an upcoming appointment and would end up canceling it at the last minute, but I’m actually excited about finally, for the first time in years, being able to get my dental work done and completed. I’m looking forward to seeing everyone in the office again, including the dentist, Dr. Miller !!

Note: this review is after one appintment with Bay Park Dental, a standard dental and oral exam. I have severe, lifelong dental anxiety and past trauma. Wow. I didn't believe I could find such a compassionate group of professionals. From their desk admins, their dental assistants/tech, and their doctor, I am blown away. I suffer from severe dental anxiety, so much so I'm usually crying beforehand, during and after the appointment. I made sure to mention this in the intake forms for the office. From the first step into the office until I left, I felt they had, without a doubt, my best interest at heart. My dental assistants were an amazing, hilarious duo, I could not have asked for better care. I was then seen by Dr. Miller near the end to discuss my dental past and future care plan. I never felt rushed, judged, or ashamed. They were gracious and patient with my need for intermittent breaks and really encouraged me to take my time. If you struggle with dental anxiety, or you're way past due like I was for a visit, come to this office. I have future appointments already scheduled when normally I would procrastinate for months out of fear. I'm putting total in this office and I don't think it's a misstep with how attentive and personable they were. Thanks Bay Park team!

I just had my new patient appointment here today and can honestly say I have never had such a positive dental experience in my life. I’m honestly looking forward to my next visit, which is something I never thought I’d say about the dentist! This office is clean and the dental technology is top notch. I’m usually highly anxious in medical situations and within minutes of chatting with Jenae I was completely calm. She’s gentle, thorough, knowledgeable, considerate and incredibly sweet. She even offered me headphones to use to watch Netflix on the TV on the ceiling while getting my teeth cleaned! This was so helpful in relieving any bit of anxiety I had left. Dr. Miller came in after and she was also incredibly sweet and thorough. She also did a full mouth cancer check which I greatly appreciated. She explained my care plan to me and made sure all of my questions were answered. I definitely found my lifelong dentist here, and could not recommend this office more and their incredible staff more!

I don't know how anyone could out do what this office does. The team here owns that welcome when you first step into their facility and keeps that smile bright and happy every time you come back. The communication here is great and they'll always check up on you after every appointment. I have received the greatest customer service here and I have grown very confident about my smile because of the knowledge I get from them. No service is ever done without them explaining why they're doing it, how they're doing it and what the pros and cons are for it. I was recommended by several people to give this place a chance and since then I have recommended my own group of people and we're all very happy. Bay Park Dental is located right off the 5 freeway and has some of the most beautiful views of the bay. They keep this place clean, friendly and welcoming. Janae (my hygienist) was awesome. She did a very good job, is super cute, and has a great sense of humor. When I met her, I jokingly called her the "tooth scraping witch from hell" and she replied, "I'm not a witch." No, you're a sweetheart. And, thank you for what you do. Debbie at the front counter also has a fun personality. I liked bantering with her. Same with Doctor Miller. When you have to go in to have strangers poke around in your mouth with drills and dental tools, it's very stressful. And, it's nice to have people who get that and make it as comfortable as they can, despite the circumstances. I'm glad that I went to your office for my dental work. And, I would like to say that I look forward to seeing you all again. But ... no. Although, when I inevitably do, I know that I'll be in good hands.

Loving Bay Park Dental after my 6 year olds first visit here. Very cozy and homey office - not cold or glam (like some other coastal dental offices) — and I loved that all the staff and other patients were properly masked. This has not been my experience elsewhere. :) My 6 year old really liked the hygienist Jenae who was kind and gentle with him, and made him totally comfortable during the cleaning. Dr Louie was also super sweet to my child, and did a great job explaining to me about what we can do better in caring for his teeth. I especially like the TV screen on the wall that shows in real time what the dentist is seeing through her loops. We will be back, and I can’t wait to change to Bay Park Dental for my own teeth as well.

On Friday about 1 1/2 hours after the dental office closed, a crown on my front tooth fell off during dinner. This was especially upsetting to me since I was scheduled to give presentations Saturday and Monday morning and not only could I not speak normally but I looked horrible with a gaping hole front & center! I quickly called the dental office & left an after hours message for Dr. Miller. Within about 15 minutes Dr. Miller called me saying she would meet me at the dental office in 30 minutes. Dr. Miller took x-rays and photos, then glued my crown back in. I was so impressed and grateful for her prompt response to my urgent need. I highly recommend Dr. Miller and her staff for their friendly and professional care!

I’ve had 3 dentists my entire life due to moving and Tessa Miller and the entire group at Bay Park Dental are just amazing! Update: I’ve been going to Bay Park Dental group for about 2 years now. I am just as happy as the first time I visited. They are very cautious right now-taking precautionary measures to ensure a safe visit during COVID-19 which really goes to show that they care about their patients! My hygienist, Kelly, does such a great job cleaning my teeth and she is gentle and very knowledgeable with any questions I have. I switched here after my old dentist retired. I appreciated Dr. Miller's thoroughness with my first appointment in reviewing the x-rays they got from my previous dentist. She explained to me the teeth she was concerned about and why, the plan to continue to monitor them, and what I could do to improve the situation. I really appreciated this because a long time ago I had a dentist at another practice tell me I needed dental work that I didn't need... There was an issue with them being able to open the electronic files for my x-rays sent over, but Dr Miller's keen eye figured out what the issue was and resolved it. I'm looking forward to continuing at this practice.

I can't thank Dr. Tessa Miller and her team enough- I came to the office with chipped front teeth and worn out old fillings. My treatment plan would mean crowns, fillings and teeth straightening to fix my bite. I had 6 crowns done, I just completed my Invisalign and had numerous front composite filling done. The changes were dramatic- and now my smile looks AMAZING- I can't stop smiling!! And a huge thank you to Josh who worked overtime to give me new retainers to protect these beautiful restorations. I can’t express how great Bay Park Dental is! My kids (4 & 2 yrs) had their first visit with Dr. Gandhi and it was so pleasant! I just recently moved to San Diego and was looking for a dentist. I found out about them from a colleague who had nothing but good things to say about them! Since then, I have had my Invisalign treatment started with them, have had a tooth extraction and some fillings as part of it and also my teeth cleaned recently. I arrived for my cleaning appt and was greeted by Debbie who did some great work beforehand working out my insurance coverage. I was in the chair within 2 min. Kelly my Hygentist was very pleasant, personable and professional. She did a wonderful job cleaning my teeth. My visit with Dr. Miller was also exceptionally pleasant. She did an oral inspection and sent me on my way. The entire staff was great as was my 1 hr. visit. New dentist for me, and same wonderful service as I was used to from this dental group.

I love my dentist Dr Miller and everyone who works here! My husband and son are patients here as well. The office looks like a spa. It’s so calming. It’s easy to schedule appointments. The cleanings are very thorough. My son is 4 years old and they are very patient with him. Everyone is friendly and accommodating. When I first came here Dr Miller fixed bad work that another dentist had done. Since I have been here I have had no more issues. Going to the dentist is now a pleasant and enjoyable experience!

I didn't have a dentist, and a filling came out. A good friend recommended this place, where she has gone for many years. Everyone there was fantastic, from the girl who answered the phone, to the dental assistant and doctor. Super warm and friendly and very professional. I've had great teeth cleanings, by Kelly, who also did a deep cleaning for me. My gums were really inflamed and look and feel so much better now! Thank you to Debbie, Jessica, and all the other great employees.

I've been coming here for at least a decade and although some staff has changed over the years, the great service and friendliness is as great as always. They know their patients and really make coming here a wonderful experience. They've saved me on a couple occasions when I've had a toothache at 4pm on a Friday, they were able to have me come in right away and treat me so I wouldn't have to sit around in discomfort over a weekend. Absolutely outstanding people here.

Dr. Miller and her entire team are fantastic. The quality of care is top notch, all of the hygienists are incredibly skilled, and they truly care about their patients. They've always managed to squeeze me in when I needed something, or my schedule changed. Debbie at the front desk is always incredibly friendly. I'm autistic and have had a lot of difficulty in the past with dental procedures and recently switched over to here and I had the BEST experience I have ever had with a dentist appt. The most gentle cleaning, ample communication about sounds that might turn on with the instruments and if something was going to blow air or water etc. I will never leave here and feel more confident for my next appointment already.

I had my first visit at Bay Park Dental this past week. It was the most thorough dental exam I have ever had. Everyone was so nice and welcoming! They have TVs up on the ceiling so I watched Seinfeld during my teeth cleaning! Dr. Miller is very personable and explained my treatment plan in detail. I made an appointment with Dr. Miller on the recommendation of my old dentist, Dr. Disraeli, who is excellent but stopped taking my insurance. She treated two cavities and a slightly chipped tooth. Although getting fillings is never enjoyable, she made it as painless as possible. Her and her staff were very friendly and did a great job.
