If you have small kids, don’t even think of going to other beaches at Far Rockaway but here. I’ve been taking my kids here every summer since 2018 and I’ve always found a parking spot for free right next to the playground. We ONLY go on weekday mornings though. A nice kids playground with fun sprinklers, a sand area for sensory experience although I bet the slides are too hot to use during the summer. My kid doesn’t even bother to play on the slide since she goes straight for the sprinklers. The parking spot is right next to the playground and the restrooms, and a very short walk to the boardwalk. Make sure to bring snacks and drinks with you since there are no nearby stores along the Boardwalk. Not a lot of shady people around here from my experience, mostly families.

This park has both a playground and a water park next to each other. A few steps away from the beach. There is a restroom near by and pretty good parking area. The playground has slides and climbing for all ages. It also has swings for all ages including a red swing that can used for children with disabilities. The sand pit is fun but can get dirty with litter so beware. The water sprinklers are great. Many different sprinklers to run through or control by little hands. There are some children that go there that act aggressively to others so mind your children so they don't get hurt or bullied. Beware of your environment. Ice cream trucks comes around often. Picnic areas near by. I love this park despite its minor flaws.

I love this park..my kids love it but I stopped going for awhile because this little Jewish girl came up to my son and his friend and called them the N word..that really upset me. But they have a swing set, they have a water park and two playgrounds for different age groups. Sometimes kids being kids are not nice..parents get upset because someone came to them saying something about their child about their child etc drama. It’s close to the boardwalk and beach for the summer months spring, summer, and fall there is a bee problem. Also if you have tree allergies..this park might bother you because it’s surrounded by trees

Nice playground for your children to get wet and have fun in the sun! Plenty of playground space, multiple sprinklers and an entire padded floor for extra added safety ❤ No slipping and sliding around and if so it's a soft landing. Plenty of sitting room for parents, bathroom is steps away and free parking close by on the street. Feel free to bring a chair if you want to sit up close (but no need to) Great Fun for the kids.

This is a great kids park. It has numerous large kids play areas for different age kids, along with a huge water play area. There are many swings too, along with a sand pit next to the water play (although it can get flooded when theres a lot of water). The area is spacious, with nice landscaping, as well as a clean public bathroom. It is also just off the beach / boardwalk. Will definitely go back here.

The playground is amazing specially for kids who doesn't like the beach. There's a lot water in that playground definitely a water park. There are no showers. Be careful where you park, there's a small parking lot next to the playground but you not allow to park there, however the people who works in the park are very nice and most of time they let the visitor know about it.

Drove in all the way from Brooklyn as we have enjoyed this park in the past. Unfortunately the sprinklers are NOT ON FOR THE SEASON because it was causing flooding to nearby homes. The slides were extrémale got to slide down and the kids were just not happy we ended up leaving to a different park. If you are going there to get some water refresher, find a different location!

Rebuilt after our storm, the boardwalk has both a bike path and walk path. Giving off that Miami feel. Still free to park.
Playground
Yes complete with sprinklers.
Restrooms
Yes by the front of the park by the life guard supply station.
Dog-friendliness
Lots dogs on the boardwalk.
Picnic area
You gotta get there early to lock in a spot.

This playground is incredible, easily one of the best in the city. It's a good follow-up after leaving the beach. There's a huge splash park with tons of stations that do double duty of letting the little ones play and rinse the sand off. The playground itself has a bunch of slides and obstacles to keep them entertained. Def an area highlight for families.

Fun playground with large splash pad. Unfortunately, the water play area is starting to get really run down and in need of some repairs. It gets very flooded in the sand pit and can be dangerous for little kids. There is seating with shade all around and just a few steps from the beach. Restroom is also just across the street by the field area.

Gorgeous. Clean sand, responsible lifeguards, awesome waves that are perfect for older kids. However if you're looking for very large and wild waves, I would recommend the beaches further down, like the beach 50s. The beach was a little crowded, but you can find a place.
Playground
There is a playground and sprinkler park nearby.

Slowly this place is falling apart. It's very dangerous when u have a sandpit now filled with water & other unknown objects, as well! I hope #nyparksdept. Cleans, fixes & maintains it in the near future!
Playground
Needs basic & fast repairs.
Restrooms
The restroom is usually somewhat clean and open.

Nice enclosed children's playground with sprinklers in the summer. Perfect for young children and toddlers. There is also a sort of obstacle course right next to the park with a ropes course. Prefect for older children. The two options makes this park perfect for the whole family!

Sometimes some people here curse loudly, illegally smoke and bring pets to playground area. Very nice playground and sprinkler area. Sprinklers automatically go on when temperature is above 80 degrees. This park is adjacent to the boardwalk and free beach.

It was fun for my kids, between ages 7 and 2. A tremendous number of fun sprinklers, as well as exciting slides and playground equipment. It's also organized in such a way that you, the parent, can sit on a bench and see your kids in all parts of the park

  • Nandy

It is a nice park with water guns and sprinklers. I wish all the water guns and sprinklers work but most of them did worked. The water stream near the sand should be altered a little but still a nice concept. There was a good amount of slides and swings.

  • Nate Kulick

Great playground, but too bad over half of the water features were no longer spraying any water. Hope they can do a little maintenance to get it back in full working order. The location makes it easy to also spend some time at the beach.

Take a look at these waves! Rockaway always has the best waves! I Remember coming here as a child, we'd come crabbing with my moms. So much fun, so many great memories... and that's all I have to say about that. …

  • Teo Evtimova

Wonderful unique playground with splash park. Enjoyable for all. Plenty of benches. Clean bathrooms. Bring a cooler with drinks and snacks. Right by the beach. Plenty of parking on a weekday morning.

  • Brenda Glasse

It's the perfect place for children. Lots of water spouts, sandbox, and even a picnic area to have a BBQ.
Playground
It's a separate park from the water park.
Picnic area
Small, but

I came today for the first time in a year so that my child can play in the water park and it would be okay except for one thing. There's no water. no water comes out of any toy ...

  • Marquita B

This my kids favorite local water park and playground. You can have a cookout, go to the beach, the kids can play in the sprinklers and enjoy the playground all at once.

  • meir bamberger

Many options here for the kids. The park was clean. Large enough for many people at once. The sprinkler park attached is also an amazing outing for the kids.

  • Outreach Healthcare
