I had my wedding ring custom made here. I remember considering going to a boutique jeweler like Miriam’s, or Underwoods, but I was always disappointed with their service. I’ve known Beards forever so I took a chance there and thought I could always go somewhere else if I wasn’t satisfied with the quality. It was a very different type of design and the designer made it work, despite his own misgivings about whether it was practical. It doesn’t have huge or even perfect diamonds (I used my own stones), but that ring continues to delight me to this day, every time I look at it. Which is as often as possible. I always tell women, and even men, that Beards made it for me (based on my original drawings of course). Fast forward 6 years later. One of the smaller stones on the side band had fallen out. I knew this was a possibility based on the design I wanted and the gold I insisted on. Gold is malleable so things can shift, and the setting was also not the most secure but it’s what I wanted. Platinum has never done it for me the way gold does. Anyway, I brought it in expecting to have to prove my bona fides as a customer and pay for a new stone and all. I didn’t think it was guaranteed and wasn’t even going to ask. But, the man who helped me took it and said “I will take care of it.” He didn’t ask for any proof that they were the ones who made it and didn’t look me up in a system to confirm. I went on to say “well, also that stone was taken from my grandmothers old watch and I know it’s tiny but the clarity was very, very good. Can I pay extra to make sure the quality is matched?” Again, he was like “don’t worry I told you I would take care of it. How’s next week to pick it up?” I also had a tiny pair of hoops I did not purchase there and weren’t particularly fancy but I loved them and asked if he could fix. Yes, also at no charge. As we got to the car I told my husband I wasn’t sure if I should go back in there and make sure they knew I expected a new stone and to prove my patronage. I was like, I need to pay something so they don’t just treat it like a broken laptop and fill it with used parts! My husband stopped me and said, “that was the owner.” I was like yea right, how do you know? He replied, as someone who owns his own business, that only an Owner could do what he just did. Tell me, when’s the last time you experienced that type of service?

My fiancé purchased my engagement ring in July, and I took it in for a cleaning at Beards for the first time this December. Several days later, I noticed that one of the stones in the hidden halo was missing. I went in to have it replaced, and I was told that I would have to leave my ring with them over night due to them being busy during Christmas time and “having other orders to fulfill”. I did not feel comfortable with this, and was made to feel like I was crazy for feeling this way by the sales lady, and was met with an unprofessional attitude. I then went home, and spoke to the manager Paul on the phone who agreed to look at my ring. I went back with my fiancé that night, and it took them literally 5 whole minutes to put the stone back in, but apparently they are “too busy” to take that time for a customer who is clearly unhappy and wanting the stone put back in that fell out several days after getting it cleaned there. I then noticed when I got home, that the stone that was put back in is half the size of the other stones on the hidden halo. Like really?? I expected that they would have had a better attention to detail than that, and I trusted them to do that. Now, I am not so sure. This has all just been a very inconvenient process, and I wish they could act like they cared a little bit more about something that is so special to me and also costs thousands of dollars. Other than that, the ring is absolutely beautiful, but it feels that once you make your purchase, you’re dirt on the floor to them.

The setting on my engagement ring is very peculiar and it has been impossible to find a band to fit it well. Even the jewelry store where the ring was purchased does not carry a band that will fit flush with the band. I have literally visited 5 jewelry stores (including James Allen online) without any luck. Yesterday a friend of mine convinced me to go to Beard's because she and her fiancé absolutely love the store and have nothing bad to say about it. As soon as I walked in Tracey was extremely helpful and pulled two bands right off the bat that fit with my engagement ring perfectly! Once the owner told me the price of the one I was absolutely in love with (and did not think I could afford it) I was stunned how affordable it was and purchased it on the spot. I purchased her engagement ring and our weddings bands from Beard's. We worked with Nate who's actually one of their jewelry designers. We met him at Riverside Arts Market a few years ago. Although he is not technically a salesman he always has time to assist their customers. It has never mattered if we were just stopping in to have the rings cleaned he always has a smile & is willing to assist. The other staff we have talked to are also very friendly and helpful. They do not push the sale but instead educate the customer on the different metals, stones etc.allowing the customer to make a well informed purchase. They were also happy to provide an appraisal I could give the insurance company for our personal articles policy. The staff at Beard's is friendly, knowledgeable, honest and do business in a highly ethical manner. You can't go wrong purchasing at Beards's.

Wife and I went in yesterday 9/24/23 to buy a tennis bracelet to replace the one she lost 7 months ago that we bought from you guys. She finally decided on one and we decided to purchase it. Manager gave us the sales price of course as no one pays full retail for jewelry but when we went to check out with the credit card we got from you guys when we bought the upgraded 22k diamond and 3k bracelet and use the special financing 0 for 60 months advertised everywhere, the manager then told us we can not use the special financing because he discounted the bracelet. No where does it say that because you discounted the bracelet we cannot use the special financing promotion. After spending 25k in your store in the last 2 years, which I think is a good chunk of money, you have now lost a customer for life. Please stick to the advertising you promote...

Got the best price out of 3 states for the diamond ring I bought for my fiancee. The owner is excellent, works very well with you to find the perfect selection, and really made the buy easy. I got what I wanted, for the best price around. I actually took the specs of the diamond and setting to several other jewelers in GA, FL, and SC and they all brought back estimates much higher. When I stated the price BEARDS offered, they said the would buy it if I didn't because it was a STEAL of a deal. Beards continues to help cleaning and checking the stone setting whenever I want and it is always super fast response time, drop it off that evening and it's ready for pickup in the morning! 5 STARS! Go here over Kay's, Jared's, and all those other typical places....they will rip you off!

I have purchased many items at Beards. I always get top quality service from educated staff no matter how much I plan to spend. I used to be a customer of several other jewelry stores and wasn't really happy with the service or selection at any of them. I will probably never buy jewelry anywhere else. One example is that I went in to purchase some modest pearl earrings and got an entire education on what makes one pearl worth more than another. I had already been to 2 other stores (both at the town center), neither of which knew enough or cared enough to meaningfully answer my questions. Every time I go into Beards I feel I get the best product given my needs for the best price and have the best, most worry free experience doing so. I cant recommend them enough!

I think Beards is the best in town for diamonds. I've been coming here for 20 years and they stand behind their sales. You can always bring it back for 100% credit and get something else if you change your mind. They don't pressure you either. They are happy to help you shop, and then let you walk out without jumping all over you like some places do . That means a lot to me. My last purchase a couple weeks ago at the new Town Center location. They gave me a nice discount and I was comfortable with the purchase. I was looking at three options at three different prices and they put no pressure on me at all to buy the more expensive one. I appreciated that. There's a reason everyone comes to Beard's when they want diamonds.

I visited a heavily marketed jewelry store first and then thought it prudent to shop around to ensure I was getting the best I could for my budget. Funny enough, the heavily marketed jewelry store's saleswoman went on and on about how they are a direct diamond importer and there is no middle man so prices are lower, blah, blah, blah. But I left the store to ponder my purchase and ended up at Beards. They were very helpful and not salesy at all. I kind of felt like I was at a car dealership at the other store. Beards was able to provide me with a larger caret, better cut, and much better price than the other store! I highly recommend them as I have been very pleased with my experience so far.

I went to the Jacksonville Town Center location with high hopes of getting an engagement ring. The commercials for the five year no interest financing is what led up to my visit. Upon my arrival I was greeted and helped immediately, after gathering the reason for my visit the associate took me to the beginning of the ring counter and went case by case. There was no pressure and everyone I dealt with was very patient and kind. Once I found what fit my needs the associate made what I picked out fit my budget. I was very please with my buying experience and even more the finished product. I will definitely be a repeat customer and recommend Beard's to my friends and loved ones.

I have been dealing with them for many years and they always are great company to deal with. I don't go elsewhere as they are fair and responsive. Most recently, the setting on my wife's ring broke and they urgently had it fixed as I told them that we were going out of town two days later and they knew that she wanted her wedding ring on our trip. You may be able to find something less expensive of similar quality elsewhere but you will be hard pressed to find a company who sincerely cares about you and your experience as a customer. And even after the sale they will care about you as a customer should you need your ring cleaned and or repaired.

After looking at several different places for the perfect ring, Beards was the one. This was a 5 year Wedding Anniversary gift from my husband and truthfully I had no idea what style I wanted. Wow, Wow, Wow! The level of customer service was beyond outstanding. I dropped off my antique engagement ring that had been shoddily repaired by another jeweler. The sales rep was so kind and understanding, and could tell I was nervous about trusting another store with the ring that was passed down from my husband’s grandmother. She had the jeweler come talk to me and their level of knowledge and care in that conversation put me at ease. In the end, the work was impeccable, and they explained every step of what was repaired when I picked it up. I cannot even express how grateful I am for Beard’s treating me like I was family.

I went to another store first (the one that always claims to be the best and lowest cost) just to see. Don’t believe them. Beard’s is so much better in service and cost. I purchased my wife’s engagement ring from Beard’s 14 years ago and just returned to look for diamond earrings. The selection was great and the sales team (Nora) was fantastic. They changed the backs per my request, but when I gave them to my wife she preferred the original backs. We went back to Beard’s and they gladly changed them back with no questions and at no cost. I don’t need to check elsewhere for fine jewelry in the future. Beard’s is our jeweler.

Beard's did an outstanding job with our online purchase. We found the Tacori ring I wanted for Valentine's Day on their website, called to confirm the details regarding designer, size and stone and then exchanged some texts for visual confirmation. We were then able to call and place the order over the phone. This all happened the Friday before Valentine's Day and UPS delivered it on Valentine's Day! Madeleine was a pleasure to work with. She updated me via text when the item shipped, gave me the tracking number and sent a picture of the package right before UPS picked it up from them to make its way to NY. Many thanks!

Went to Beard's Jewelry in 04/2017 to have a customer made men's platinum and diamond ring. Immediately I was directed to Jim Shrader. I showed Jim a picture of something I liked. We talked about some changes and selected a stone. Within a week Jim had auto cad drawings of 2 different rings. Together we made a few changes and Jim made me a plastic cast of the ring to try on and make sure it was what I wanted. I approved and he begun the process of making something unique. The ring is amazing, the service is outstanding. We decided on 39 grams of platinum and a 1.75 carat emerald cut diamond. I could not be more happy.

I have been shopping at this jeweler for over a decade, it is truly one of the most outstanding retailers in Jacksonville. I went in there today with a previous purchase I made that my wife was not completely thrilled about. I took my wife's engagement ring in to replace 2 lost diamonds. Bailey took my order and set it up for express service to be ready in time for our first anniversary. We actually received the call that it was ready 2 days early. Unfortunately we had to be out of town when our anniversary arrived as my wife was in hospital. When I called to let them know I was assured that I could come at my convenience. When I picked it up Bailey was again very courteous and helpful. I have been a customer here for many years. Always receive amazing customer service with every encounter I’ve had here. I’ve have my wedding set sized, a diamond replaced, and my wedding set appraised. Recently they custom duplicated my very unique wedding band for the other side of my wedding set. It’s almost impossible to tell which band was there first. Having a family that was once in the jewelry business and knowing most of all of the Jewelers in town, Jim at Beard’s is by far the best in town. Picking a ring is something that took me a few months to do and I went to several different stores around Jacksonville/St.Aug/Orlando. Beard's had a better selection than most local and national stores. Global Diamonds started to advertise a lot when I was looking and checked them out, but was kind of put back by the quality and service. One of the best experiences I've ever had in a jewelry store. We went in to get my wife's diamond earring fixed - the post had become misshapened and she'd lost the little piece that goes on the back to hold it all in. A very personable gentleman helped us, taking his time to fix the post right and find the right size piece for it, chatting happily to us the whole time. Made us feel like we were long-time customers on our first visit. On top of that, he only charged us $10. I don't need a jeweler often, but when I do, this is the place I'll go.

My fiance bought my engagement ring there last year and I really love it. They made him feel comfortable (he didn't know anything going in) and weren't pushy at all. Wonderful experience. I was having trouble finding a wedding band that went with my custom engagement ring. I went in and spoke with Jim Shrader about what could be done. He confidently told me that it would be no problem to make a custom removable band that interlocks with my engagement ring without covering any of the engraving. Boy did he deliver! Only short coming I experienced was maybe in the appraisal detailing the marquee diamond engagement ring I had them repair. Details or description of it were minimal at best. Leaving some elements out that affect its value.

There are not enough great things I can say about our experience with Beard's! The staff is amazing and will go above and beyond to make sure you are completely happy and comfortable with your purchase. Overall we are very happy with our purchase of a pair of diamond earrings. We wanted higher quality diamonds and that is exactly what we received. The reason for the 4 star review is the length of time that we stood around unassisted when we first arrived. A good 20 minutes passed before anyone approached us and customers who came in after us were assisted before us.

Wouldn't replace watch battery. Went to Jared's instead. Jared's has great service -- with helpful and friendly staff. I made the mistake of buying a couple of wedding bands here about 5 years ago. Over the last 3-4 years they have spam texted me hundreds of times from all different numbers most of which aren't even real numbers. There is no unsubscribe option and they dont reply to any of my requests to stop the spam. Its been a real nightmare!
