I walk by the St. Regis Hotel all the time and I had seen signage that was announcing a new business.  There was a Starbucks here before so I was curious to see what would replace it.  The new business is now open and it’s called Beaucoup Bakery.  They have one other location in Vancouver, in Kitsilano.  This location is so new that it wasn’t even pinned on Google Maps.  Getting it pinned was a nightmare. Google doesn't make it easy to add new places to Google Maps. Overall, I like what I see at Beaucoup Bakery and so does my camera.  To start with Beaucoup is right beside (or perhaps technically inside) the St. Regis Hotel which is extremely photogenic itself, and thankfully so is Beaucoup.  Given the architecture of the St Regis Hotel, Beaucoup Bakery looks like it could be a French cafe on a street corner in Paris. Everything about Beaucoup is aesthetically pleasing.  The design and presentation of everything is high end.  There is a lot of attention to detail.  I could have taken a lot more pictures but that tends to annoy everyone, so I just grab what I can and leave before I wear out my welcome.  There isn’t a lot of seating but it’s a unique space to experience so I recommend sitting down to have a coffee or a beverage of your choosing. In addition to selling coffee and pastry, they also have a selection of unique products for sale.  Like cook books, greeting cards, store merch, etc. Despite the high end design the vibe is still warm and welcoming.  The location is on a busy street with lots of windows, which let in light and allow you to do some serious people watching.  Beaucoup also has a cute little patio out front.  I just wish the sidewalk was a little wider so there was more space for people walking past the chairs & tables of the patio. The staff seemed very nice and helpful.  I didn’t check out the wi-fi situation.  I’ll have to do that next time.  The drip coffee was good, very smooth.  I had a Valhrona Chocolate Chip cookie, to feed my sugar addiction.  It was very rich and very sweet, but tasty.  They also have a wide selection of pastry and breads. All in all, I would say that if you’re in downtown Vancouver, do check out Beaucoup Bakery.  It's a very interesting experience.  The more cafes I check out, the more I realize the importance of the "experience factor."  It’s important for businesses to brand themselves, much like a person would, rather than trying to be everything for everyone. If you attempt the latter, you land up disappearing in the crowd.

Title: A Delightful Taste of Europe at Beaucoup Bakery in Downtown Vancouver Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5) Beaucoup Bakery, nestled in the heart of downtown Vancouver, is a hidden gem that truly captures the essence of a charming European bakery. From the moment you lay eyes on its exterior, you're transported to a quaint street in Paris or a bustling corner in Rome. The classic architecture and warm ambiance are the perfect invitation for any bakery enthusiast. The moment I stepped inside, I was greeted by an ambiance that exudes European charm. The decor is tastefully designed with intricate details, transporting you to a cozy bakery in a small European village. What struck me immediately was the impeccable cleanliness and neatness of the place. It's evident that the staff takes great pride in maintaining a spotless environment, adding to the overall pleasant experience. As an adventurous tea lover, I decided to try something unique from their menu – the oolong tea latte. This drink was an absolute revelation! The balance of the rich oolong tea with the velvety milk created a harmonious blend of flavors that danced on my taste buds. It was a delightful departure from the usual coffee-based beverages, and I found myself savoring every sip. Of course, no visit to Beaucoup Bakery is complete without indulging in their famous croissants. I opted for their buttery croissant, and it was a masterpiece in itself. The moment I bit into it, I was met with a heavenly crispness that gave way to layers of flaky goodness. The buttery aroma was irresistible, and every bite was a symphony of flavors that left me craving for more. Beaucoup Bakery is undoubtedly a must-visit for anyone in search of authentic European flavors right in the heart of Vancouver. The attention to detail, from the inviting exterior to the charming decor and, most importantly, the delectable offerings, showcases a commitment to quality that is truly commendable. Whether you're looking for a morning pick-me-up, a leisurely afternoon treat, or simply an escape to a European oasis, Beaucoup Bakery is the place to be. My experience was nothing short of delightful, and I wholeheartedly recommend this bakery to locals and visitors alike.

First time to visit this second branch on a long weekend. It was a nice bakery + cafe offering both coffee/tea beverages as well as pastries and bread. Quite a lot of non English speaking tourists visited this shop. Local people including myself visited here as well. My family and I ordered matcha latte, regular latte and hojicha latte as well as a couple of cookies and a scone for afternoon tea. All the latte tasted great. The scone tasted good. One of the cookies was a peanut butter one. It tasted great. The other one was a vegan cookie with peanut butter and jam. This vegan cookie was too sweet. We felt like each bite or the whole cookie was made out of sugar. Other than this vegan cookies, we enjoyed the food, beverages and ambiance at the shop. We would highly recommend others visiting here if you are in the neighborhood. The interior decors and design were well done.

First time at their new downtown location! Ordered their Raspberry Brioche ($5.25) and Kouign Amann ($3.95). Both desserts had buttery layers and were quite sweet. With the kouign, the sea salt was a nice touch to cut through some of the sweetness in the pastry. Good size for a single dessert. The brioche had some raspberry filling inside. Service could be a bit better. I took out dessert, and was one of 2 people around the cashier area (browsing the baked goods) but wasn't acknowledged by the 2 staff behind the counter until I stood at the till to order. I didn't feel super welcomed even after purchasing my items to go, but perhaps it was just an off day.

Very touristy vibe, but executed with great dedication; it's a French version of Thierry. Full points for decor. Floors, walls, ceiling, counters, and even cups are on-theme. The capuchino was well-made and the pastry I got was fresh. Downsides: * The ham and cheese swirl was coated in a sugary glaze. That ruined an otherwise great savory pastry. * The layout and order flow is a mess - order pickup point is inconveniently in the back corner and someone grabbed my coffee by mistake in the 30 seconds it took me to get there.

The place is small but nice. I went to purchase a chocolate croissant, and It is incredible how cheap they are with the fill product even though the price is around $5.5 dollars for each. I will show you a picture of what I'm talking about. What I mean is that for this price, you can go even to Starbucks to get a table in a bigger place and get it warm. There are better options in downtown to enjoy a bake and coffee.

Beaucoup second location in downtown. I got the yuzu lemon tart and it was delicious. The shop is small but very nice inside and a short walk to the Olympic cauldron. I highly recommend trying the lemon tart and the peanut butter sandwich cookie. One tip tho it was a hot summer day and the peanut butter cookie melted in my backpack. That was my fault I should have just devoured it in the store.

Cute little cafe in the middle of downtown! First time at this location but really happy with their selection of pastries. Their croissant is always very flaky to the point of almost crispy. They are very good but I prefer brioche, which is a bit softer. Also tried a peanut butter cookie sandwich. It was decent but too big and sweet I could only eat half at once.

I highly recommend here. I am confident that it is the best croissant I have ever had in Vancouver. I'm glad that I can have this good quality dessert in downtown. Not only dessert, but also the interior of the cafe is very luxurious. I like the feeling of being treated when I'm inside of the cafe

Beautiful French bakery! The minute you stepped into the bakery, you felt as if you’re transported to France. The cappuccino was excellent, but the star of the place is their croissant and desserts. Peanut butter cookie was one of the best things we had as well. A must-visit while in Vancouver.

Visited Beaucoup, a French bakery in downtown Vancouver, BC. The authentic French pastries are a treat, and I can't get enough of their delicious cinnamon rolls and pistachio croissants. The new location offers a clear and inviting atmosphere that adds to the charm.

The KA was a little hard and tacky. The pistachio croissant was crispy and flavorful. We came here to get pastries after a failed attempt at the bakery prior. The pistachio and KA croissant were a bit too sweet for me- although I do love sweet things.

Best bakery Downtown. My favorite place. So glad they opened here. I was struggling with what we have around. All products are just incredible. Has slight Asian influence so it isn’t as sweet as classic NA desserts. Highly recommend.

This is beautiful here! What a lovely spot to retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life. Beautiful cool air conditioned space and an incredible selection of pastries from France. Merci ✨ …

Cute little bakery hidden in the St Regis hotel. I got this amazing vegan peanut butter cookie sandwich. The vegan one has some jam in it so it’s the perfect balance of sweet and salty.

Delicious but wish the pain au chocolat layers were more even :) Visit 2 (2nd photo): Like when you buy a bag of chips, my pain au chocolat was 70% air …

Beautiful cafe in downtown. Got a chance to try as there was no lineup. Staff are polite. Got a matcha latte. Very nice. Will come back for cake.

Pastry is quite unique, coffee is okay, nice interior and Parisian vibes patio. Good spot to chill in the heart of bustling downtown.

Great little coffeeshop. Wonderful sweet cakes with very good coffee. We came here twice in two days. We loved it.
