This place is sooooo ghetto and just omg. I went there for a quick something to wear (a wig) and yes the prices are good and one employee was helpful. Now you won't see any pictures from me on this one because security jumped right on me and they explained people come to copy their prices. Well if i wanted to do that i can just use the go pro. It doesn't stop there as the young lady is helping me the other girl proceeds to come over and talk about drama to start her up. The young lady dismisses herself and comes back and still tries to conduct business. Her comes this ***** again and this time i want to lay hand on her and so does my family because your cutting into our time. Now she is talking about fighting and I'm like oh no and we speak to the manager and he act like (yes this happens all the time is there anything else you need) he just don't care. I will never go here again. I know my 1 review may not mean anything but the way your associates act reflects on you and your business. Yes you have great prices and they will style it there for you which is amazing but the service 20min (we were there for almost 2hours) after being in the store got worse and worse. They all were talking about drama and other people working there and that's not right. If you get a wig have someone to style it because the styling corner will have you right and tight with alot of drama in your ear.

I recently visited this establishment and was really disappointed. I take my fifteen year old daughter there often. Today I noticed her being followed as if she was there to steal. I made my feelings known that I don't appreciate her being followed like a common criminal. So the young lady then proceeded to get a older lady to ask me if she could help me while I waited for my daughter to pick the packs of hair she needed, I responded no. I then told the cashier if these people are so afraid of people of color stealing their merchandise why do they continue to build in predominantly black communities. I also explained to her I shop all over town and only receive this type of treatment in the communities of color. These people come into our communities and make fortunes and without contributing anything to these areas. I'm personally done with this establishment and pray others would stop allowing these people to treat them as second class citizens. STOP SPENDING YOUR MONIES WITH PEOPLE WHO DON'T RESPECT YOU AS A PERSON.

My first time here was an unprofessional experience. It was me & my 2 month old baby strapped to me. I went here instead of my normal store because I was passing through. Anywho, the earring selection was nice & the store is setup clean. But when I got to the counter the girl was RUDE. I had to ask her How she was doing cause the attitude was JUST that bad! It was to the point where I didn't even want to buy the things I was buying! I wish I knew her name but this was a month ago. I'm sure she's still there! I told myself I was writing a review because someone (the owners & potential customers) needs to know how their employees are treating their PAYING CUSTOMERS.

This location was highly recommended by one of my client's mom who used to live in Tampa. I'm 2 hours plus away but decided to make the trip with my g'son last Friday. Omg from the moment we walked in the staff was so courteous & professional. Now...my stylist was Carmen & her patience, helpfulness with styles & her final suggestion AFTER she allowed us to play with different styles etc. was amazing! Carmen nailed it!! I actually purchased 2 units because of her passion, sweetness & knowledge of what fit best with my facial shape. I highly recommend THIS Beauty Depot & ask for Carmen! Simply awesome!! Blessings...

The worst experience of my life. The employees barely would help with any questions I would ask. And when I did ask a question they were unbelievably rude. And if you so happen to stop by on a slow day, you'd get served by girls/women that would want to help to only pass time, ( it would not be helpful advise, it would be advice that would temporarily keep a conversation going. Knowledge that you would already know). But besides the employees the hair there is average. Your best bet would be to go to elegant beauty 8 minutes away from beauty depot. In my honest opinion.

I went to this location on last week. No one greeted me when I walked in or when I ask for help, the young lady acted as if it was too much to answer a simple question. So I went right next door to the other beauty supply where the customer service was so much better and the ladies greeted me as I walked in. I overheard a lady said she didn't like the customer service next door either and said they hire "hood" girls to work there. Please train those employees on customer service but they will never get my business ever again !!! What a waste driving from Lakeland

The employees watch you too hard like you a thief. One young lady greeted me right away and asked if I needed assistance, I said no. I walked 15 ft from her to another section and she was on the headset saying something to another employee, ahe then asked if I was finding everything okay. I partonize this story frequently and they always have new employees, who don't know their loyal customers. When I shop I like to walk around the store and look at new products. I don't appreciate being followed, when in reality it's the employées you probably need to watch.

I go to this Beauty Supple store about once a month. I read some of the reviews and can't disagree. The store is huge, impressively clean and neat *BUT* the employees do make you feel as if they are watching your every move. Like every customer is a thief. Its annoying and the one thing I truly hate about this store. Some of the employees are nice and friendly but it does seem as if they have young new girls working there every few weeks so no one knows ur a loyal customer. But all in all I still go there because it's so clean and conveniently located.

I’m rating this store poorly only due to the fact that while i was there today, 3/21 picking out braiding hair, i couldn’t help but over hear and see how HORRIBLE one of the Korean men (i assumed to be one of the store owners) was treating an employee! Just flat out disrespectful and i literally felt embarrassed for her. I regret not speaking up right then and saying something on her behalf bc from experience of working for Korean people they treat you like you’re less than them and that’s not who i want to be spending my money with. Not exceptable.

I prefer the Hillsborough location because of more options such as wigs ect..instead of the Fowler location because the workers at the Fowler location think you are stealing and will have the nerve to ask may I help you with weird vibes and weird facial expressions and squinting eyes..smh.. Body language people! I would like for someone to look happy to help me and not suspicious like an investigation. It's only a couple of ladies at the Fowler location that are nice. TBH my truth

I love Beauty Depot because of their wide selection of products that I get monthly. I like the staff because they are friendly and mostly knowledgeable. My only complaint is that the store in St. Petersburg never have what I need. The excuse is that someone came in bought it all. Which to mean that they should order more. So I ride over to Tampa and they always have what I need at the Fowler avenue store. I wish St. Petersburg would be more attuned to their customers needs.

This place when they put something on sale and when you ready to pay they double the price without you know it please make sure you double check your receipt before you leave the store today I buy a wig name klio-wig the price was 19.99 because it’s was on sale and when I went to the front cashier they charge me 29:99 for it without me know that when I get home that’s when I noticed that please double check your receipt before leaving the store.

I personally have been visit this place but my wife goes there a lot she likes it sitting in the car I can't really say that you know too bad about it. I know because of the time she spends in there and probably has nothing to do with the staff probably just heard just browsing through the looking and I'm sure they have a large array of stuff it's a nice store nice parking and she's always happy so I'm pretty sure it's probably a nice place

I posted a picture of myself from 2 weeks ago wearing a ginger/black (burgundy) bob lacefront. The second picture shows the lace today. Every time I visit this location, I always find what I want and the staff are awesome. Many of them do the installs but in my opinion Claudine is the best. She does edges like no other and makes sure your lace won't be sliding off in a week. My hair is still perfect 2 weeks later. I LOVE this location

Good prices on hair and store is very organized. In the beginning, someone greeted me at the door and radioed to get me to the right department for help. At the end, the cashier was friendly. Unfortunately, in-between the staff was a rude. It was 30 minutes before closing so I guess they wanted to go home. Neither of the 2 employees responded when I said hello and 1 asked if i worked so didn't have time to get the hair beforehand... wow!

I tried going here twice. Yes they have a huge selection of stuff which is awesome. But when it comes to there customer service. It's horrible. I ask the employees to help me find a wig and see what color look good on me, they act like they don't want to help and look aggravated. I'm so use to going into a hair store with someone eager to help and answer questions and have suggestions. But the two times I came in here I get no real help.

I was given the wrong hair bundle, and then was told by the woman who gave me the wrong hair in the first place it was a better deal. Sooo $101.97 on a 3 pack bundle with 2" shorter hair is better then $94.99. To top it off when that didn't make sense she said well I told u we were out of 24". Noooo u didnt bc I wouldn't have bought it. But its all good went shop at the one on Hillsborough no more.

I’ve been here before with my daughters. Today I go and grab some oils, the woman at the cashier scans my item then leaves from behind the counter. I assume she didn’t know the price, but she returns with a second of the same item because it was 2/$? Of course I didn’t notice it, but thought it was so awesome for her to go out of her way to make sure I got the deal!

My sister and I felt targeted and harassed by the staff for merely shopping merely while black. Definitely did not feel comfortable while browsing the aisles. Spoke to the manager about it. I know everyone does not have good intentions, but I was just trying to purchase a few items that I need. I hope this post help to change how they treat their customers.

They have a lot of products but the employees all have bad attitudes and don't like to assist customers. I stood in the back 15 mins and the girl at the counter back there wouldn't help me. She said I had to wait for someone else to come. She wouldn't even answer a question for me. Finally someone else came and she had an attitude and was rushing me.

Good selection of items (men's barber supplies and women's wigs). My wife and I bought a few items, used the restroom and were followed and harassed as if we were criminals. I know they have inventory to protect from thieves. Nonetheless, all customers should be treated fairly and with respect. Hope they can do better.

I've only been there once, had a lace installed and it went horribly wrong . It was installed to tight and I had to have it removed after the 4th day but by then the tape had already cut into my skin. Now I have a 4 inch scar across my forehead. No more lace for me. The salesperson did not pay attention too what she gave me to purchase. I bought 3 bundles of hair but one of the bundles was different from three other two. I did not realize the difference until I reached my hair salon. I have to return the wrong hair and i do not have enough hair for the style that i wanted.

I sat there waiting for an 1hr to get my wig put on. The lady who was putting the wig on stood there and talked with her client and a friend for an hour. She didn't even say "i'll soon be with you"or anything. Genuinely terrible experience and I would not recommend any one come here if they want a wig install.

Staff is always watching you while you shop & following you around the store. This was my 3rd experience at this location. Shop elsewhere if you can. Had another bad experience.... the owners think all black people steal, but have a shop in the black community. Shop SOMEWHERE ELSE for professionalism!
