Worst experience ever. We drove from Georgia 30 plus minutes to get to this restaurant. Customer service is sloppy. The old man was rude and thought my 9 yr old tried to take a drink that we already paid for, He was adamant it was a different drink. My son took his drink and we sat and waited. We paid for the meals and drink then his dad took another. When we were paying for the second drink this man was saying it was a third drink. The whole time he was sitting at a table watching us and the restaurant so why didn't he see my son had his same drink?.. We asked for another bag because we had multiple meals that they stuffed in one bag and we didn't want every wet incase we tipped the bag and he was back there complaining in creole like I don't know what he was saying. The restroom is filthy I will never ever visit this place again. Not to mention he over charged us he tied my bag before he gave me my food. EVERYONE KNOWS YOU SHOW BEFORE YOU BAG SOMEONE'S FOOD. CARIBBEAN PERIOD.

I was very disappointed with my experience here. I placed a online order, for oxtails and the turkey, when it came time for me to check out and choose a payment option I was having difficulties with putting my card information in so I decided to choose the cash option instead so I can pay when I get there. I received a conformation to m email address that my order has been placed and t will be ready in 20 minutes. i get to the restaurant and the guy hands me a menu, I advised him that I ordered online. Without looking at anything his automatic response was we didn't get it. I then pulled my phone up to show him the ordered but he told me to move out of the way as he helped someone else. I found that extremely rude! I then walked out the restaurant and don't ever plan on returning. I am happy that I didn't put my card information in because we would have had a bigger problem! I would not recommend anyone to come here on the customer service alone!
Just called this place to inquire about codfish patties. The lady who answered spoke Creole. I don't speak it too well. I asked if they had any patties. She kept responding in Creole. I told her that I don't speak Creole too well. She didn't care. She insisted I speak Creole. I asked if there was someone who spoke English, she miraculously spoke English saying "No English!" Then she hung upon me. It seems she forgot that she's not in Haiti, but the United States! I've been to this place several times before, in addition to having called several times before, and I was never spoken to like that. I'm deeply disappointed to have been spoken to like that after having frequented their establishment so many times. The food here is excellent, or at least it was the last time. I'm hoping the food quality is different from the customer quality I received today.
Roach in my food? Very dissapointed. The service wasn't good. I got a Jamaican Patty, Oxtails and Legume with rice and plantain. The Jamaican patty was good. The oxtails were very flavorful and tender but were mostly fat and bone. Not a lot of meat. The plantaines (tostones) were cold, hard and very rubbery. The legume and rice was delicious! Too bad I threw it all up after pulling a bug (cockroach) out of my mouth. I'm not shocked given that they store their produce right next to the mens restroom. I am very disgusted by this and hope they fix it. A lot of potential but it's really really disgusting to find a roach in your food. I would call and complain but no one there spoke clear english and according to the no refund policy I read about in the other comments it seems like a lost cause. I will never return here.
First time here. Been looking for a Haitian restaurant for YEARS since i moved to the southside. Its actually pretty damn good. Didnt have white rice and sos pwa() but thats ok. Next time. The rice and peas is just as good. Im not a really big fan of fried plantains (i like mine sweet) BUT man! Im loving the two i got. The Legumes is great! It also has a subtle spiciness to it. i am currently 6 months pregnant and my baby loves spicy so this is definitely a plus. Service was fast. The gentleman who took my order was kind and even laughed w me. The young lady who served my food was kind as well. Will definitely be back and i will bring my family. Also, for what i got, i only spent $17 dollars and some change and left a tip(even though i didnt dine in). A very happy customer here!
The food seemed authentic and definitely tasty but the rest of the experience was subpar but not bad. The location itself was very humble and mostly clean. I wasn't uncomfortable but it could be better. The service was a mixed bag depending on who was helping you. The older woman who was also working the register was very nice and helpful but the younger girl who waited on us most of the time had very few words and did not seem the least bit happy that we were there but did not specifically do anything wrong either. Overall, it was a very mixed experience hence my star rating. I'd imagine the experience would be much better if you were just picking up take-out but, as a dine-in experience, it was lacking.
So we have been here before and there food was good but today was a completely different story. First of all in general they was rude talking in the middle parking lot blocking any potential customers. So while inside they was JUST PLAIN RUDE, my wife orders stewed chicken and ox tails the rice has a taste of just basic chicken stock and the chicken is dry. The ox tails are just fat and bone and the plantains are two day old dry. Never ever eat here I know it’s a family business that don’t really care about any of their customers. Then called them to come and return their disgusting food “ WE DON’T GIVE REFUNDS”. Posted nowhere visible
So today was my second time there Let’s keep in mind that I’m pregnant and that my husband is away with the military. I’ve been there twice cuz that’s all I’ve been craving and with work I just don’t have any time to cook myself. Not even sure why they have negative comments. Like any other restaurants they get busy. You can Oder ahead I did not want to make a review after my first visit cuz they always say that first time is a a charm Well my second time was charming as well The place is clean, workers are polite and my meal is flavorful and delicious. I’m not saying that their food is the best But it’s the closest place to home
I’m not from duval and spent MONTHS. Looking for authentic Haitian food and this place feels like home everytime this food is cooked with love and Haitian roots for SURE

Only if there was a no star, because that's what this place deserves. The service was horrible. They sell overnight food that is spoiled. Hard stale rice from the bottom of the pot. When you tell manager the food is stale the manager say no you have a problem and refuses to refund your money. Never have I had horrible service. Flat out has no signs that says no refund. Eat at your own risk.

I went before n oxtails were amazing...there was a issue with my next order or curry chicken n stew chicken being dry ...i understand in Caribbean food its not exactly cooked to order but this lady stuck her and in my food yelled at me...SO THIS IS DRY ...I was calm from the first moment i called and even after she damn near threw chicken in my face the flavor was great but i wont have anyone yell at me about their product being wrong ...it was a try ..and FAIL!!!!
Dissapointed. The service could have been a lot better. I got a Jamaican patty which was good. The ox tail was very tender and flavorful but was mostly fat with little meat. The plantains were rubbery, cold and hard, not freshly fried at all. I got the legume and rice which was delicious! Too bad I threw it up after pulling a bug (potentially cockroach) out of my mouth. I'm pretty disgusted by the situation. Will never visit this place again.
The people who gave this a 5 star must have grown up on microwave food I’ve been here 3 times to many the chicken is always old, over cooked, and hard, how is this place even open?, Duval needs to do an undercover food inspection here, I'm so sorry for the people that buy and get old food then they have a sign saying," no refunds" because they know what they do is wrong and when someone wants to return old hard food, they cant
I will forever continue to come here HOWEVER if I'm paying 18$ for a side of stew I expect it to be in sealed container . All my stew spilled in the bag. Please invest in getting better Togo containers. They have great options on Amazon because if that doesn't change then I won't waste my money. I'm very upset that my food spilled in the bag. Please get better Togo containers for your liquid items.
I had ordered the oxtail dinner meal with rice and rice and peas with steamed vegetables. They gave me for oxtail bones with fat and no meat no extra sightings the vegetables were very hard not steamed and the rice had kidney beans in it. When I called the owner was not customer satisfied nor apologetic I was overly charged for bones their plantains were very dry and tasted old...
Today was my first visit. I had the fried pork complete. Delicious! And I ate more than I should have while I was there, and still brought home enough to happily eat it again for dinner and share some with my roommate too. I wish I hadn't waited so long to come here. I'm looking forward to trying the curry chicken and legume soon. Service was very good. I'll be back for sure.
Ordered food from there a few times food was always garbage, rice was hard and not cooked right , this other time I ordered they messed up my order and a guy with a bald at the counter started arguing with me saying I messed up even though it was their mess up. Would not go back to this restaurant

I’ve eaten here plenty of times but this time was different. First of all when I placed my order over the phone the guy in the front was VERY RUDE, I brushed that off but when I got there he was even ruder, still brushed it off. Got my food it was bland, beans in the rice were hard, Griot hard/ dryed out and no pikliz??? Was disgusting no flavor! Won’t be going back
The food was sooo good, it exceed our expectations and great customer services too we ordered mix vegetables (Legumes), fried chicken and a Griot fritay. Thank you Beignets Caribbean Cafe, my family really enjoyed the food. #MassachusettsTravelers

Everytime I have went the food was great. But this time, it's like me and my friends got the bottom of pot, when there's no more food left and you are scrapping to make a plate. It was horrible for my friends to open their plates and it looked like 2 chicken backs and a drumstick with no meat. If there wasn't enough food, you tell your customers. Be Bless
Very disappointing. I gave them a second chance and will NOT try for 3. I think because I’m a naive American they didn’t give me their best. A Haitian gentleman I work with gets food from there and it’s spectacular. He’s even brought family servings of rice and griot that were over the top good. I will have him order for me if there is a next time.
First time we tried to eat here all they had was chicken and fried fish. The second time they actually had what we wanted but we we're very disappointed in the quality. Spices in Arlington and Pepper Pots out by Moncrief are much better. Will not be making this mistake again. Also the service was terrible and employees are extremely rude.
Good portions for the price! Conch is a rubbery kind of fish meat anyhow but the sauce used here made it quite do-able since it was not in a fritter (best way to eat conch). The cabbage and rice was very good but plantanos were dry. Location was easy to get to but the parking lot would be challenging if there was a crowd of cars.
My husband would eat here everyday if I would allow him. The cabbage and stew chicken is good. My household places a weekly order here. Staff are very friendly and forth coming on what foods are available and ready when you order. On Fridays after 2pn expect some delay picking up your food order but it is well worth the wait.
If you are looking for a place that have the best oxtail and the best Legume this your place. the mayi will give you life. this is the place for all your Island goods. from Haitian bread, to Malta, to AK100, choucoune and some good Lemonade. you cannot go wrong. stop by and you will greeted with a warm welcome.
Very low key spot, good Haitian food if you would like to try Haitian , the vibe is of the island and the different food smells makes you rethink what you would like to order overall the are doesn't look as great as some people would like but the food matches the feel and the taste of the islanda! …

The food is authentic very yummy. I would love to give all stars because the food is just that good, but there was one occasion where the rice was burned and it was handled poorly. I wouldn’t let that stop you from eating here because I sure didn’t stop.next time I eat here I try and post a picture.

The food was ok. Not as good as the hype. Customer service was terrible. The mood felt depressed sn controlled. When asked what something was on the menu, the guy replied "women take orders. Not men" it is not a friendly or welcoming atmosphere. I don't think I would return.
You ever reheated a Rotisserie Chicken in the microwave next day or two? That’s what this food was like. They served us reheated old food. The chicken was hard over cooked and chewy. The plantains as well. Never wasting my money here again. Try Spices in Arlington instead (;

The Jamaican dishes don't taste authentic.. I bought some Jerk chicken but it tasted more of a Haitian flavor.. Maybe they use the same ingredients as their Haitian food with the ja food.. But if u want Haitian food it's okay, the Jamaican food not good here.

If you are looking for an authentic & affordable Caribbean/Haitian experience, Beignets Cafe is the spot. Its very clean and nice. It gives a Caribbean vibe with Haitian paintings, pictures and beautiful music in the background. The food is DELICIOUS!!!
Listen this place is better than a Chinese that are Arab the white folks food Southern black all you guys Haitian dominate all culture and if anybody got something to say negative pull up on my email …
This is one of the best Haitian owed Caribbean restaurants that I've tried so far. Come here! The food was hot and fresh, as we ate in restaurant after we ordered. I had the jerk chicken which had just enough spice for me and my partner had
Enjoyed the new experience of Beignets. It was our first time and the food was very good. The service was ok considering there was only one man helping everyone. Atmosphere was ok. Nothing fancy, but it was clean. It reminded us of Haiti.
The oxtails and the tasso are my two favorite dishes here coupled with dirty rice or rice and beans, cabbage and refried plantain. Do not leave without some pikliz pepper. Very sweet staff. Never had a bad plate here. Love this place
Best island food in jacksonville. Im not sure if management realises that theyre not charging enough for this great quality food lol until then i recommend you guys go take advantage of unrealistic pricing with exceptional flavors.

Man this food is so good. I used to go ALL THE TIME. Thinking about going now but I’m lazy. I’m STARVING and could use one of their meals or two to warm my soul right now during this boring time smh …
I bought 7of my co-workers with me for some delicious Haitian caribbean food and they love it. I had the fried pork complete with djon djon. Yummy to my belly. Keep up the good. We all were very pleased.
Very clean on the inside. I always call ahead they prepare as you request. The food is delicious. I usually get the Fish but the Goat is great also been going here for over 10 years. Sak Pasé......
Haitian food made right.. THE TASTE IS SO CLOSE TO CHEF CREOLE #MIAMI. This is NOT Caribbean food... THIS IS REAL HAITIAN FOOD IF THATS WHAT U ARE LOOKING FOR. . . CLEAN. FRIENDLY AND FRESH FOOD!
The owners are very rude. They show poor customer service. The bathroom is filthy with Cockroaches; and the food too salty and too greasy.

It's a really nice local Haitian restaurant with family friendly commodities. Good food, great hospitality, and overall just comfortable.
The food was delicious and the people were friendly! Home styled cooking and I couldn't get enough! Big portions and I ate way too much
Authentic real deal Caribbean food! When I go to a place and they speak a foreign language to each other I know I'm in the rt place lol
The food is great price is outstanding, the portion was perfect. I had Grio rice and beans with plantains. Defiantly going back …
1st time i went it was hot fresh and good but the time i take my cousin the food was hard and dry not fresh at all. I was very upset
The food is delicious and there is always enough food for later. Every time I come back to Jacksonville I always go by and eat here.
Best Caribbean food in the Jacksonville area. I come at least once a week, everything has great flavor. I highly recommend!

If you are looking for tradicional habían flavors then this is the spot. I do recommend pick up better than dine in.

This is one of my most treasured restaurants. The food is always amazing. Try the fish and stewed chicken
I have been eating here for 6 years. Believe me, the food is amazing!!! I'm about to go get some now!!!!
Authentic and delicious Caribbean cuisine. They use DoorDash and GroundHub Food Delivery services! Enjoy
Very good!!! Had some for the first time the other day. Ordered the oxtail and legume. Very yummy!!
Good food, sizeable portions. Plantain chips needed a little more flavor. But otherwise delicious.
Awesome Restaurant, very friendly staff, and delicious Haitian cuisine. Always enjoy coming here.
Stew chicken was full of bones. I wasn’t very pleased with the food especially for what I paid
I went there for the first time and I had some soup ( what we call bouillon) and I enjoyed it.
Pattys were cold and tasted microwaved and hubby found hair in his food will not be going back
Its 2018 and they do not take Amex. Lets get it together. I drove 30 min to enjoy this food
The food here was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! Arguably the best griot I've ever eaten, anywhere.
Customer service needs to be improved and more pleasant, over all everything else was ok.
They don't give a lot food for the price they charging and the food wasn't all that good
Best Haitian food in Jax! I've been coming here for years and always enjoy a GREAT meal!
This is the best place to eat some good Island food, Haitian food. I love the food here.
Specialize in what you want to do: restaurant or money transfer. You can't excel in both
Delicious! If you like caribbbean food, then you should really try this Haitian spot.
Best food you'll get in town beside metro dinner or goin to Miami to get CHEF CREOLE
