I had the distinct pleasure of working with the wonderful staff at Bell Alliance over the past few months as an American seeking to migrate to Canada. It can be an overwhelming process trying to fully understand all of the options that are available for immigration purposes, and then to discern which of them is the most successful route. I came to Bell Alliance with a lot of questions and left with a full comprehension of the process involved and comforted knowing I was in very capable hands. I worked closely with Jennifer Hunter during the approval process for a work permit which took just over a month to complete. Jennifer is extremely well versed in all matters involving immigration law. She and her team were very professional and responsive throughout the process of applying for a work permit. On top of that, Jennifer and her team were extremely compassionate and offered a personal approach to all of their interactions - one that is not common to find these days. You could really tell that she enjoys helping her clients and which in turn made the whole process a lot more fun. Over the past fifteen years I have worked with a number of law firms and Bell Alliance is hands down, number one. You have come to the right place!

This firm assisted me with my private real estate sale. Was handed off to three different lawyers during the process (they all had holidays booked one after the other) and had to explain the transaction over again every single time. Sign off on closing date and presented with my bill and think all is done. Then, within a month, they send me another another bill for $700+ as they forgot to bill me for the time of one of the 3 lawyers that dealt with my transaction. Tell the paralegal doing the conveyancing to utilize the $700 they have on hold back to pay the bill and then I'll pay the difference. She agrees. Then receive another email that they accidentally paid me out $416 of the $700 that was on hold back and I am to call their office to pay the difference. Of final note, you won't be paying for your bill(s) with your Amex as unlike every other law firm I have ever dealt with ... they don't accept Amex. UPDATE: One of the lawyers that assisted me followed up after the above-noted review went live. He was naturally concerned, apologized for what occurred and wanted to rectify to the best of his ability. I truly appreciated his efforts and sincerity.

Terrible experience in the sale of my property with the services provided by bell alliance. They were condescending about my lack of knowledge in law surrounding the sale of a home which made me feel very unsupported and uncomfortable. Literally laughed at by Sharon on the phone at one point after she made the mistake of sending me the wrong documents and I didn't understand why I needed to fill them out. Took over 3 months to get my money back from the strata which Bell Alliance completely passed blame onto the other parties lawyers and strata. Initially I offered numbers times to contact the strata was told I didn't need to, then to do this after months of waiting. Worst part was communication from Sharon in which I constantly had to contact her about this refund since she never took ownership to let me know what was going on. Would never recommend these services to anyone.

I recently used Bell Alliance for both, the sale of my Vancouver property as well as for the purchase of a new home. Lalli Deol and his BA team provided invaluable real-estate law services – they had always responded in a timely manner as well as promptly and consistently directing us to the right information and documentation files. They were also very transparent about their fee structure. While the transaction process, dealing with a “foreign” buyer with the added challenge exacerbated by the Covid travel restrictions (no face-to-face signing!) the whole real-estate transaction process was prompt and eventually we were able to “close” all the deals in the timely manner. I would, without a doubt, use Bell Alliance again for any future Canadian-based real-estate transactions!

Heather is a superb immigration consultant. In all honestly, we did not want to pay an immigration consultant for advice, but it was the best money spent in terms of immigration fees so far, and I wouldn't hesitate to pay for services there in the future. We went to see her as we pretty much thought there were no more options available for us to apply for permanent residency in Canada; we were very wrong and Heather gave us so much information which we would have struggled to get through our own research. Doing your own research online can sometimes complicate things so much more. Heather is extremely knowledgeable in her field, very professional and super friendly. Definitely recommend seeing her if you're in a pickle with immigration issues!

Bell Alliance came highly recommended by my realtor when we decided to purchase a home just outside of Vancouver. I researched their reviews and they were all good so I called and asked them to handle my purchase transaction. I was assigned a young lawyer, Lalli Deol. It was apparent from the beginning that he was inexperienced and careless. When things went wrong, which they did repeatedly, he blamed his assistant, his new assistant, the bank, the head of RBC mortgage and of course us. When speaking face to face with him and asking questions he rolled his eyes and sighed and seemed quite content with an incorrect document that he wanted us to sign. It was a thoroughly unpleasant experience and I would caution anyone wanting to use this firm.

Lawyers are good here. We've done 9 house purchases/sales with them in the past 5 years but the receptionists are very unprofessional. They've disconnected me repeatedly when transferring or putting on hold and I've had to call back 4 times in one sitting because they don't know what to do so they just keep forwarding me. Recently we were sitting in the waiting room and one of the girls managing the phones told the other she didn't know what to do so she was just going to leave the client on hold. They were much more interested in talking among themselves than I doing their job.
